"What's the job?" Mick asks.
"I represent an anti-Imperial revolutionary cell that operates throughout the lower tiers." the employer explains, her voice commanding. "We need someone to...'Repossess' a factory, if you catch my drift. We need you to disable the guards and turn off the power to the factory before we clean the place up."
"What's the payout?" the arsonist inquires, leaning on the wall opposite to her.
"Acceptance into the Rebellion and some Omnilium." she responds. "Not sure just how much, gonna talk to the higher-ups about it."
"I guess I'm on it...Where's the factory?" the hot-blooded Rogue asks. He stops leaning on the wall, and approaches her some.
"Somewhere down at tier 7. It's somewhere to be careful about, though...Not even organized crime thrives there; it's all chaos." her voice shifts to a more hateful tone as she talks about the lowest tier, her face shifting to a scowl. "Nothing but chaos."
"Sounds like my kind of place." Heat Wave responds. This prompts an eye-roll from the employer.
"You might want to make a communicator, too. You can update me on your progress, and tell me when to call in our clean-up crew." she explains. "You're obviously not going to go into a full on rebel comm system just yet, but it'll come in handy."
"So, you'll be playing some sort of mission control?" Mick asks.
"Yeah...I guess so." she responds.
"Probably gonna need your name." Mick says.
"Cassie." Cassie responds. "And you are?"
"Mick." the arsonist responds. "And, while I'm at it, I'm usually with my partner...Leonard Snart."
"I've heard of him. He has done a few jobs around this area." Cassie says. "If he's as good as people say he is at what he does, he'll be in the Rebellion too...Anyway, you should be summoning that communicator."
"Alright..." Mick says. He focuses, creating an object which forms into...An earpiece. "This should work as a communicator, right?"
"Yeah. It'll work fine." Cassie says. "Gonna be honest, I have my own earpiece. Covered by my hair."
In a few minutes, Cassie and Mick's comm pieces are synced together. "Now, hold the button on the side to contact me when you're in the factory." Cassie says.
"Got it." Mick says. He then walks out of the alleyway, and back onto the streets. He sees Snart walking back.
"I found a job for us, Mick." Cold says. "It's simple; the Mattit gang and it's leader, Jason Mattit, had stolen a crucial document from the Archangels. The leader of the Archangels - John Lough - is paying quite a pretty penny for the safe return of the document."
"I found a different job." Heat Wave responds. "Some rebellion wants me to clear out a factory. Already said I would do it, I doubt jobs will come easy to us if I don't follow through."
"Point, Mick." Snart says. "I'll handle the Mattit gang, you go do your thing."
"On it." the hot-blooded Rogue states. He turns towards the elevator, Snart following behind. As they enter the elevator, Snart pushes the button for Tier 6, and Mick does the same for Tier 7.
"You're heading down to Tier 7?" Snart asks.
"Yeah." Mick responds.
"Be careful down there, Mick. That place just ain't right." Cold warns.
"I've already received enough warning." the arsonist responds. The elevator starts to go down, and the two prepare for their work on the two lowest tiers.

Mick steps out, onto the street of tier 7, and looks around. Factories are pumping smog into the skylines, and there are is a collapsed building nearby - clearly having not been actually maintained for months before the collapse. Mick smiles as he stares around the area.
"It's like World War 3 down here...IT'S GLORIOUS!" Mick shouts. Static starts to come off of the earpiece. The Rogue reaches his left hand up to the earpiece and holds down the button. "Say that again?"
"Mick. I assume you're on tier 7?" Cassie's voice comes through into Mick's ear.
"Yeah. Why didn't you tell me it was like this?" the arsonist asks. "This is the highlight of my Omniverse life so far!"
"Stay focused, Mick." Cassie says. "I'm here to warn you; Try not to breath in the smog. God knows what's in those gases, but a few Secondaries I sent down there ended up dropping dead."
"Got it." Mick responds.
"Now, I'm assuming you'll need the address?"
"Yeah."
"405 Terrence Street."
"Got it."
"It's two blocks away. At the end of this street, take a left, then at the end of that one, a right, it's a straight shot to the factory."
"Alright. Bye." Mick says, taking his hand off the earpiece. He then starts walking down the street.
It only take about 10 minutes to reach the factory. Walls of metal, and a big cloud of smog forming above it. The sound of the machinery could be heard from the door.
"Looks like this is the spot." Rory says. He pushes open the door, and walks inside. There's a gang member standing guard. He immediately raises...A more high-tech-looking handgun at Mick's face.
"Just why are you here? This is Mattit Gang territory." the gang member states.
"And just why does the Mattit Gang own a factory in a lawless Tier?" the hot-blooded Rogue asks.
"Took it over." the man responds. "Now, I'll ask you again; Why are you here?"
"I was invited for a party." Mick remarks in response. "Also, why don't you hand over that gun of yours? It goes with my outfit."
"You're not even trying, are you?" the gangster asks. He pulls the trigger, sending a bolt of plasma in Mick's direction. It lands a shot on Rory's side, generating a grunt from the arsonist. He responds by reaching into his overcoat and drawing the Heat Gun, focusing it on the gangster.
"You must not know who I am, do you?" Heat Wave asks, pulling the trigger, erupting forth a beam of flame. The man sidesteps it, but it does set a table on fire in the background.
"What, you think I'm just gonna stand there and take it?" he inquires. "You're gonna have to be better than that to land a hit on Morgan Lette."
"I will make sure you BURN." Mick shouts. He lines up another shot, and fires, resulting in another sidestepped attack, hitting a wooden crate. Morgan focuses his gun again, and fires. Mick dives out of the way, and then runs towards the soldier with a shout, landing a hard punch on his chin. Lette responds with a kick to Mick's injured side, causing a yelp, before swinging a punch towards his forehead. Mick catches it, and flips the fearsome target, the gangster landing on his back. Mick sets the Heat Gun's barrel directly on the man's forehead.
"You're one of those types that just want to watch the world burn, aren't you?" Morgan asks.
"Hell yeah, I am." Mick responds. And with that, he pulls the trigger, setting Morgan's head aflame.

"Well, that was fun." Mick says, raising his Heat Gun and pointing it towards the roof. Then, he gets a call from Cassie. Setting down the Heat Gun for a minute, he raises his hand up to the earpiece.
"Cassie?" Mick asks.
"How's things going so far in the factory?" Cassie asks. "The place is apparently filled with Imperial soldiers, so-"
"Not exactly. The Mattit Gang took over." Mick explains.
"Well, that's just great." the Rebel complains. "That factory was creating weaponry for the Stormtroopers. So, any high-tech weapons you find are likely from the factory. We were pretty sure how the Imperials were running the place in terms of security, but now someone else entirely is guarding it. I could have walked you through it."
"This guy here had a laser gun." the Rogue responds, looking down at Morgan's corpse. "Before he burned to death, anyway. Want me to see if I can grab it before it overheats?"
"If we can take the factory, we won't need his gun. Just move on for now." Cassie advises.
"Got it." the arsonist says, removing his hand from the earpiece. He picks up the Heat Gun, and continues forth to the next room; Seems to be a sort of storage area. There's a bunch of wooden crates in the room, and two doors on the left and right sides of the room. And another guard. This one is only equipped with a normal, sawed-off shotgun.
"Hey! What are you doing in here?" the guard asks.
"What are YOU doing in here?" Mick asks.
"Don't try to change the subject! What are YOU doing in here?" the guard repeats.
"I'll tell you once you tell me." the arsonist says with a smirk.
"Alright, fine. I'm guarding the place. NOW TELL ME WHAT YOU ARE DOING HERE!"
"Setting idiot guards on fire." the Rogue remarks, raising the Heat Gun and setting the gangster on fire. "Well, that was...Surprisingly simple." He turns his attention towards the crates. "...Tempting to set those on fire, but I kinda need to make sure the factory is still in-tact if I'm gonna get my Omnilium."
After two more minutes of debating whether or not to set the crates on fire, he decides to just continue on, into the door to the left. Part of the production line, it seems. No guards that Rory can see. He approaches the production line, seeing raw metal moving into a smelter. He's unsure what type of metal it is. The smelter is in the way of progression behind it, and stepping onto the conveyor belt risks being smelted.
"Well, this room is essentially useless." Mick says. "I have literally no point in being in he-"
He then feels a gun barrel touch the back of his head.
Click.
"Surprised to see me?" the guard asks.
"I guess this shows me not to think I'm safe."
"So, why don't you tell me what you're doing here?" the guard asks.
"What are YOU doing here?" Mick asks with a smile.
"I heard your conversation with the other guy before. We're not starting that." the gangster responds.
"You know, you forgot one thing." the arsonist says.
"And what's that?" the gang member inquires.
"I still have my gun." Mick quickly turns around and attempts to open fire...And the current energy cell is empty. "...Goddangit. Can you give me a second to reload?"
"Hahahaha-no." the gang member responds. "I'm not gonna give you a chance to reload your weapon so you can kill me. If I give you a chance to reload, you'll just shoot me. I mean, seriously. What kind of idiot do you take me-"
Rory has been reloading whilst he was starting to go on a tangent.
"...For."
Mick smirks, as his foe suddenly just gets a complete deadpan expression.
"Are all the guards except the one in front stupid?" Mick asks.
"You forgot one thing." the guard says with a smirk.
"And what's that?" the hot-blooded Rogue responds.
"I still have my gun."
And with that, two gunshots fire. Mick barely avoids faceplanting as he dives down to the ground in an attempt to dodge. The two lead projectiles hit the wall on the opposite side of the room, causing the guard to curse under his breath. Sighting an attack of opportunity, Mick charges the goon and lands a punch to his gut. He attempts to swing another fist towards his face, resulting in a duck and tackle, sending Mick to the ground with a grunt. A fist then attempts to connect to his forehead, but he swerves his head out of the way. Mick then pushes the opponent off of him, holding up the Heat Gun once again.
"BURN IN HELL!" Mick shouts, firing a jet of flame at the gangster. The attack is sidestepped, and the guard disrupts the attack with two swift punches. Mick stumbles back, nearly dropping the handheld flamethrower, before running at him and attempting a knee to the gut. The attack connects, the air leaving the gang member's lungs from the blow. This is quickly matches with a fist to the forehead, knocking the guard down and out.
"Wow...If there's any more fights like that, I'm not sure I'll have the energy to take 'em all out..." Mick complains, breathing heavily. "The other way is obviously the direction I was supposed to go in...I'm gonna rest here for a few minutes first."
He sits down, dropping the fire-breathing weapon next to him, and rests. He pulls out that water bottle he swiped from the gang warehouse yesterday.
"Damn, it's warm." Mick complains. Nonetheless, he opens up the bottle and gulps down some of the water, before putting the cap back on it and tucking it away again. "I should really grab something to eat, I haven't eaten since I got here..."
He goes to summon something to eat, but then he starts getting a call from Cassie. He accepts the call.
"Cassie..." Mick says. "I'm in the factory right now...At a conveyor belt."
"Are things going okay so far?" Cassie asks.
"I'm a bit out of breath, but other than that things are fine..." Rory says. "Should have gotten something to eat before now, though..."
"Are you at the smelter?"
"Yeah..."
"Should be fine to rest for a few minutes, if they're following the pattern the Stormtroopers did." the Rebel explains. "They never checked the smelter room too often."
"Let's hope." the Rogue responds.
"Alright. I'm cutting communication for now, but I'll probably be contacting you again soon." Cassie says. "Cassie, signing off." The communication then cuts out, Mick removing his hand from the earpiece.
"First time she's said goodbye."
***
About 15 minutes break, and Mick is on his feet again. He raises the Heat Gun into the air, pointing it nearly straight up.
"I'm surprised that I wasn't attacked." Mick says. "Especially with this guy still alive." He pokes the unconscious gang member with his foot.
"Maybe I should keep him from bothering me when I'm done here."
He then sets down the Heat Gun, picks up the poor goon and places him on the conveyor belt into the smelter.
Satisfied with his work, Mick picks the Heat Gun back up and exits the room, walking straight across to the other door in the storage room.
"Thinking about it, I might not be ready for whatever fight is on the other side of this door." the Rogue says. "...OH WELL."
He then proceeds to kick the door down, waving the Heat Gun around frantically.
"DID SOMEBODY ORDER A-"
The room is completely empty.
"...Goddangit, nobody's here." Mick says. "Maybe it's the area where the other guy came from."
It looks like a hallway, just a bit wider than the doors are. Not much room to dodge.
"Probably for the best that he caught me in the smelter room. I'd have nowhere to run if I was caught in here."
The arsonist walks down the hallway. "Okay, let's try this again."
He then kicks down that door. "DID SOMEBODY ORDER MATTIT FLAMBE?" he shouts.
There's only one goon in here. Carrying an interesting, rifle-like gun, and with a canister of...Something...On his back. He has an oxygen filter on his mouth. He says nothing, but instead directs the gun in Mick's direction and opens fire. A jet of flame bursts out, and Mick immediately sidesteps it, the blast burning the door behind him.
"I see I'm not the ONLY one here who likes playing with FIRE!" the obvious arsonist shouts, firing his own jet of flame in response to the gang member's. He dives out of the way - a task no doubt hindered by all his gear - and aims again.
"I guess we're really TURNING UP THE HEAT!" Mick's voice booms throughout the room, his boisterous yell making it apparent that he's making no attempt at being stealthy. He makes a mad dash towards the flamethrower-wielding guard, and performs a solid punch to his gut.
"For the love of god, nobody talks this much in the middle of a battle." the flamethrower-using guard complains, muffled by the oxygen filter.
"COULDN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE-"
As the arsonist continues his insanity-fueled screams, he is suddenly punched square in the gut, the oxygen leaving his lungs for what is not the first time today. This is followed by the same fist striking him in the jaw. Stumbling back, Mick aims the Heat Gun once again.
"I GUESS YOU'RE-"
"For the love of Omni, just SHUT UP." the fighter interrupts, before turning the gun sideways and pressing the middle of the barrel on Mick's throat, holding the other side with his other hand. He then begins to push Mick towards the wall, but Mick interrupts this attack with a kick down low, causing the flamethrower-wielding goon to barrel over.
"I can't BELIEVE Mattit's goons are this well equipped." Mick complains.
"Actually...I'm a mercenary." the apparent hired killer explains, starting to get up. "...I was hired to guard the building, and kill anyone who reached this room."
"Good to know..." the arsonist says. "So, tell me...You're like me, aren't you? Just want to watch the world burn?"
"...Well...Yeah..." he says. "Who doesn't at one point or another?"
"Well, uh, for one thing, my partner would object, but he's off doing something else." Mick says. "Anyway...I'm just gonna get this over with."
"Wha-"
The hot-blooded Rogue then aims the Heat Gun with a smile. "I'll enjoy watching you burn!"
"Wait...If you leave my alive..." he says, getting up to a sitting position. "I'll tell you what you have ahead of you."
"Oh, really?" Mick asks. "Then tell me. What do I have ahead of me?"
"Well, a couple more mercs, but nothing really much until you reach the power room..." he explains, removing the oxygen filter from his face. "In the power room, they have 5 different mercenaries. Granted, they're not very GOOD at what they do, but all five at once isn't easy to beat."
"Good to know..." Heat Wave says. "Well...I guess you're...Free to go." As he says "free to go," he nods towards the exit. "But don't expect me to give anyone else the same mercy."
"Thanks..." the mercenary says. He then walks out the door.
"Well, that was eventful..." he says. "I'm gonna need another drink..."
So he sits on the ground, ready to rest for a few minutes...
And at that very moment, there are alarms.

"Alarms? Alarms aren't good. Why are there alarms?" Mick asks. He then pokes his head through the door back into the hallway. He sees the mercenary just as he's running full throttle through the door, and nothing much else. He then notices something on the wall...A lever. With an "ALARM" sign next to it.
"There was an alarm switch?" he asks. Then, a gunshot is heard. Making a full 180, Mick sees another mook, once again carrying a sawed off shotgun. He has a robotic hand, but apart from that looks normal. He's wearing a black overcoat and a bowler hat.
"I found the intruder! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" he shouts. Four other mercenaries run in as well.
"You guys were guarding the power room, weren't you?" Mick asks.
"Yes, yes we were. Now, WHY ARE YOU HERE?" the cybernetic mercenary asks.
"That's for me to know, and you to be dead because of." Rory says. He then raises the Heat Gun, and opens fire, the seeming head mercenary sidestepping the attack. Mick then goes for a charge, but meets a robotic hand to the gut, barreling down with a grunt. The shotgun barrel touches is head.
"Are you gonna do this the easy way, or the hard way?" he asks.
"The easy way." Mick says. "Easy way to burn you, anyway." He then points the Heat Gun at the mercenary's leg, and opens fire. The mercenary attempts to sidestep, but his ankle does get lightly burnt, sending him face-down to the floor. The arsonist scrambles back up with all the grace of a bloodhound, and aims the handheld flamethrower for the merc's head, before getting a kick to the side from another hired goon.
"Alright, everyone, shoot him!" the attacker says, drawing his handgun. The other four mercs aim as well.
"I'm guessing the news hasn't spread quite yet?" the Rogue asks. "I don't know if you realize this, but I wiped out nearly the entire Black Hat Gang from Tier 6. Monelli wasn't there at the time, he's all that remains. And I'm 90 percent certain I just did it to the Mattit gang, too."
"Two of them are guarding a warehouse." the head merc responds.
"They're in for a rude awakening; Snart's headed that way." Rory responds with a smile.
"That betraying little...He did a job for Mattit just last week!" the hired killer complains.
"He's with me. I've heard he's done a few jobs before around the city. And if you don't want him and I both to go after you? You'll run. As fast as your legs can carry you." Mick says. "I'm a Prime, too, so if you kill me? I'll be back. I'll ALWAYS be back. Unlike you."
A few nervous glances are exchanged, some from the mercenaries, others from Mick himself. A single gulp comes from one of the mercenaries.
"Well..." the mercenary states, apparently being the one that kicked Mick in his side. "I think I'll take you up on that 'running' offer. Peace."
The mercenary then runs like heck.
"Your friend there is smart." Mick says.
"Unlike you." the bowler-wearing criminal responds. Mick heads back up to a standing position, having been on his hands and knees since his attack at the hands of the cyborg.
"I'll give you one last chance to turn around." Mick says, pulling his goggles down onto his face with one hand. "High-tail it out of here, or you'll all BURN, just like the Black Hats did."
More nervous glances are exchanged, the mercenaries amongst the crowd being unsure what to respond with. Another one silently steps away from the fight without a word.
"...I guess that's it then." Mick says. "Sometimes I wonder why you people even try." He then smiles, charging at the head mercenary and elbowing him in the gut. This is then followed up by a roundhouse kick to the jaw. Another elbow attempts to meet the shotgun-carrying mercenary's face, but is met with a parry. The guard responds by touching the barrel on Mick's head.
"Move again and I will kill you." the cyborg says.
"Doesn't matter if you kill me...Right here, right now..." the arsonist responds, a look of pure anger in his eyes behind his goggles. "I'll be back, and I will kill you."
"Really cocky there, aren't ya?" the mercenary asks. "I guess I'll fix that."
He then pulls the trigger...
And nothing comes out.
"...Well, aren't you gonna fix that?" Mick asks with a smirk.
"Give me a minute, I forgot to reload after the last guy who got in here."
The two begin to reload nearly at the exact same time, Mick finishing first by a single second.
"You don't know who I am, do you?" Heat Wave asks.
"I don't really care." the mercenary states.
"I'M THE HEAT!" Mick shouts, blasting the mercenary with the beam of flame. He keeps it focused on him, keeping the blast lethal.
"...And if anyone else wants to try the same thing, I'd be MORE than glad to burn you too!" Mick bellows. The remaining mercenaries scatter, dropping their handguns along the way. Mick approaches the guns, and kneels down, examining them. They appear to both be Glock 17's. Not the most spectacular gun, but they could be useful.
"Might as well not let these go to waste..." Mick says, swiping the two guns. He then turns towards the door that leads closer to the power source. "When I step through that door, I'll have a lot of eyes and a lot of guns in my direction..." Mick says. "But, I'm not gonna get this done with any other way, so WHY NOT?"
Approaching the door, he prepares to meet the remaining mercenaries that lie ahead...

Inside the new room, Mick finds himself in the corner of a hallway. It's wider than the other one, with a few doors along the walls. There are signs on the doors. Walking into the hallway, Mick turns his attention to one of the signs, which reads "Human Resources."
"Human resources...Yeah, that doesn't sound like somewhere I should go in." Mick says. "Let's just find the power source and get out of here."
He continues walking, checking signs along the way. Nothing particularly exciting, more of them seeming company-ish than factory-ish. Finally, he comes across the end of the hall, and with it, an unlabeled door.
"You know, this door really should be labeled..." Mick notes. "That way, I know if anything important is behind the door before busting through it."
He then attempts to kick the door down. Said door flies open, sending Mick through it. Losing his balance, he faceplants, and barely catches the door with one hand before it can hit him in the head.
"Note to self...Check whether or not doors are locked before attempting to kick them down." he complains, slowly stumbling back up. He finds himself in the smelter room...Oh! He's on the other side of the room where the conveyor belt and smelter were in. He can see the entire line of the machinery from here, from the smelting of metal to machines shaping them, to the assembly line itself, forming multiple high-technological weapons and ammunition.
"So this IS a factory." Mick says. "First proof I've seen of it this whole time."
Then, he hears a click behind him, and a gun barrel presses to his head.
"I've seen this scenario ten times already. Can we move on now?" Mick sighs.
"Hehehehe." the mercenary laughs behind him. "You have a point there. I've seen it quite a few times myself."
"Is the Mattit Gang just full of this?" the arsonist asks. "Almost makes me just want to end it for you guys quick instead of setting you on fire."
"Trust me...If you try to kill me, it won't end well." he states.
"Who are you, anyway?" the Rogue inquires.
"Oh, I go by many names...Scott Jonathan, Darky, Darklocke..." the mysterious assassin asks, before letting out another laugh.
"Darklocke sounds like a pirate's name." the hot-blooded criminal states with a smirk.
"You know what? You do have a point there." Darklocke states. "I just thought it sounded cool...Guess I kinda dropped the ball on that one."
Mick turns around, pointing the Heat Gun at Scott, and sights him. He's kind of average-sized, with a black jacket over a white T-shirt and black jeans, with shoes that are, you guessed it, black.
"Oh...Does this guy have a bit of fight in him? I guess that makes it all the better for me..." Darky states with another laugh, raising two guns towards the arsonist.
"You ready to burn?" the Rogue asks, preparing to fire.
"Oh, you like playing with fire, do you?" Scott asks. "I guess I brought the right tools for the job!" A side-area pops out of both handguns, revealing smaller barrels. They fire...Kind of a small jet of flame each. Scott laughs, even though the jet sof fire don't even reach Mick.
"How did you get that?" Mick asks.
"Got it custom-made a while back. Was a lot of work...For the poor sucker I forced into making it." Darklocke states.
"Next question; Where can I get one?" the Rogue adds.
"I'll give you this one right now...If you can get it over my dead body." Scott states, with yet another laugh. His laugh angered Mick more and more each time he heard it. With a shout, the soon-to-be Rebel charges the current mercenary, who...Simply sidesteps it. Mick trips over a conveyor belt, landing on the ground behind it and disrupting the production line a bit. In response, Mick hops back over with all the care and grace of a lima bean, landing flat on his face. This causes yet another laugh to erupt from Darky.
"Are you sure you want to get this started?" Darklocke asks. "It would be easier to just hop on the conveyor belt into the smelter, if you really want to end it that badly."
"I'm a Prime, genius. If I die, I'll just come back." the hot-blooded criminal states. "With a vengeance."
"Been there, seen that." the madman responds, looking down at his signature weapon. "I'm not afraid of Primes, flamey." Whilst he was talking, Mick was focusing another beam on him. The arsonist then fires, and Scott...Sidesteps the attack.
"Why do they always sidestep the attacks?" Mick asks.
"You should be asking YOURSELF that." the laughing mercenary states, before running at Mick and triggering the jets of flame once again. Mick sidesteps the attack, but Darky stops himself before he can run into the conveyor belt. Mick takes a swing at him, causing him to dodge, ceasing the fire of flame. Darklocke then smiles, booting Mick's gut and pushing him over. "Want me to turn up the heat? Hehehehehehehe!"
"Never met someone as joyful about murder as you, Scott." the Rogue states bluntly.
"You obviously haven't been around Tier 7 enough." the mercenary responds with a smile. Staring at the fight ahead of him, Mick grows in anger even more. His blood begins to boil as he clenches his fists. Nonetheless, he just prepares for a long fight ahead of him...

"I guess we're doing this, then?" Mick asks.
"You bet." Darky responds, aiming the pistols in the Rogue's direction. The hot-headed criminal responds with a full-on charge, causing the psychotic mercenary to sidestep once again. He attempts to get a shot in whilst Mick is charging, but misses, hitting the floor behind him. "Damn."
"I WILL MAKE SURE YOU BURN!" Mick's voice booms throughout the whole factory, turning around and drawing the Heat Gun. In response, Darklocke lines up a pistol shot, hitting Mick's right elbow dead on. "GRrr..." Mick drops the Heat Gun, holding his arm.
"Something tells me lead isn't your favorite thing in the world." Scott states. "How about some FIRE?!" he adds, turning on the flamethrowers on the pistols before laughing once again, practically taunting the arsonist. His smile continues to make Mick's blood boil.
"I do appreciate some good ol' fire." Mick states. "This time, however, I think I'll pass." He then reaches down, picking up the Heat Gun again. As he raises his head up, he sights Scott charging at him. Lining up a shot, the Rogue fires the Heat Gun, which lands a hit on Scott's left wrist. With a yelp, Darky drops his guns and taps out the fire, before quickly swiping them again and positioning them both in Mick's direction, ready to open fire. Mick begins moving towards him in a zigzag pattern, attempting to focus his own weapon, but finding it quite hard to aim whilst moving.
"You're making it hard to do my job, you know that?" Darklocke asks.
"Of course I'm making your damn job hard." the arsonist responds.
"Hey, watch the mouth! Keep things appropriate." Scott responds. "Now, stand still and let me murder you."
"How about no?" the hot-blooded criminal responds, taking a swing at Scott's head with the hand holding the Heat Gun. He dodges, and responds by pressing his gun barrel on the side of Mick's head.
"Well, this has been fun." Scott says. "Too bad this has to end so soon..."
Sighting an attack of opportunity, Mick smirks.
"Not yet."
He then performs a kick to Scott's leg, sending him crashing down to the floor. As the hired guard stumbles back up, a fist meets his forehead. Mick then lines up another shot towards him.
"Time for me to end this." Mick states, before opening fire. A jet of flame emerges forth, and Scott attempts to dodge, but gets burnt on the lower arm, right this time. He drops his weapons and taps out the flame again. As he swipes them again, Mick goes to reload...
And finds himself all out of energy cells.
"...Fuck, I'm out of ammo." Mick states.
"Great, you're out of ammo." Darky responds. "Makes this easier for me."
Throwing the Heat Gun aside, the sound of metal hitting tile resonating from it's impact, Mick performs another charge at the hired killer. Then, gunshots. Two of them. Both of them miss, just a little to the left or right of Mick.
"Why can I not aim worth crap today?" the mercenary complains, as the Rogue gets closer. Then, a kick lands in the mercenary's left leg, followed by an elbow to the jaw, and then two swift kicks to the chest, causing him to stumble back. Mick smirks.
"This is going well so far, isn't it?" Mick asks. He then takes a swing and lands a hit on the merc's left hand, knocking the gun to the floor. He then performs a kick to the left one for the same purpose, before tackling him to the ground. The two struggle, and Scott grabs Mick's right arm, right where the gunshot landed, causing Mick to yelp. Mick responds by kneeing Darklocke's private parts, causing a similar yelp.
"You will burn. There's no way around it." Mick states.
"You don't have your gun. How exactly are you gonna do that?" the mercenary responds, his smile remaining. Mick sees his reflection in his teeth for a few seconds.
"Well, 'Darklocke,' it helps that I have the upper hand here." Mick states. He then grabs the mercenary by the collar of his shirt - finding it easier than he expected - and gets up, picking up Darklocke with him. He stares into his dark brown eyes, anger being obvious on both ends.
"I could kill you right now, you know." the arsonist states.
"You wouldn't, though. You wouldn't." Darklocke responds. He then raises his left hand. "I, on the other hand..."
Just as quickly as he was picked up, Darky performs a punch to the Rogue's gut, causing him to drop him, Scott landing on his feet. He turns towards the door.
"Well...This fight isn't going anywhere." Scott states. "It's been fun..." He then, smile remaining, swipes up his two guns. "But I've gotta run. Cya!" The mercenary then runs, performing an undoubtedly-unnecessary roll before kicking the door down and running.
"That was a bit much on the theatrics, don't you think?" Mick sighs. He turns towards the Heat Gun. "No real reason to not leave the Heat Gun there...I can just summon another one, and I'm fairly certain the Rebellion's clean-up crew will be the last people here until the place is fully taken."
He then turns towards his arm. "Let's hope the Rebellion has a medical ward of some sort...I'm not gonna recover easy otherwise."
He then begins a walk through the room. Obviously the biggest one in the building, Mick sighs, but nonetheless, gets ready to finish this...

As he walks - about halfway to the door - he is interrupted by a call from Cassie. He raises his hand up to the earpiece.
"It's Cassie." Cassie says. "How's your progress?"
"I'm hoping this is the last of 'em. Some of the guards were gang members, most were mercenaries. How did the Mattit gang gather this much firepower?"
"They're one of the bigger gangs, and one of the only ones to go down to Tier 7 regularly." Cassie says, sounding somewhat angry as she mentions their constant visits to Tier 7.
"Makes sense, I guess..." the arsonist states. "Kinda got shot in the elbow on the way here, my Heat Gun ran out of ammo...I'm not sure I'd be able to handle many more fights."
"Where are you right now?" the Rebel asks. "Depending on where you are, I can tell you what you have left to do. I have access to the floor plans of the building."
"I'm with the machines." the Rogue responds.
"Well, uh...The power source, believe it or not, is right in the next room." Cassie says. Mick begins to walk as the rebel recruiter continues to speak. "You should hopefully not have much to worry about. Do you know if anyone's stationed there?"
"A group of five, only one was much of a challenge, the others went running either after the one died or beforehand. They showed up a bit early when the ONE merc I had let live at that point sounded the alarm."
"Everything should be fine, then."
"Great."
"Well, what are you talking to me for? Get to the power room! Don't waste time talking to me!" Cassie then hangs up, as Mick continues to walk, lowering his hand from the ear piece. Deciding he'll have nothing else to do, he decides to take the time to think about how he got this far...
So, let me recount how I got this far...Body count might catch the Empire's attention...Got quite a few lasting scars from how I approached things...Maybe a few times I might have made mistakes? I dunno. The only one I can think of is letting that flamethrower-carrying fuck live.
He sighs.
There was also Darklocke...I have all the reason to believe he'll be back, ten times more aggressive than before. If I would have kept more ammo on hand, he probably wouldn't have gotten away. And as TV has taught me, it's a horrible idea to let guys like him get away.
He then notes a door. Unlike most of them he's seen so far, this one seems metal...More imposing. Also unlike the others, there's no handle; there's a button on the side, which presumably activates the door.
"This ought to be the power room..." Mick says to no-one in particular. "If I head in here...What happens next could be good or bad, depending...OH WELL."
He presses the button, the door sliding upwards to allow the arsonist into the room. The power source appears to be a big, metal device...But no "off" button is present.
"Damnit." the arsonist curses, not even trying to restrain himself as he sees the power room won't be as easy as he though it would be. "No off button. What am I supposed to do?"
Deciding it would be the best option, he decides to call Cassie.
"Hello?" Mick asks.
"Mick. How's things going?" Cassie questions.
"I have no idea how to turn off the power room. No off switch, by the looks of things."
"Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you..." the Rebel says. "Things are a bit more complicated than that. I can guide you through it..."
"Alright..." the Rogue responds.
"I suggest you get a screwdriver ready. You're gonna have to use it to open the two panels on the bottom." Cassie says. "The security system they set in place is fairly complex. If you go for the wires immediately, you'll just cause a core meltdown. And the result wouldn't be pretty."
"Got it." Mick says. He starts to focus on summoning a screwdriver, letting go of the headset for a moment. The Omnilium emerges, and forms into his desired tool. He then crouches down to the two panels, opening the two with the screwdrivers. One has three wires, and the other has...Some buttons with symbols on them. He then drops the screwdriver and calls Cassie again.
"First off, the symbol buttons." the arsonist says. "There's an X...A Q with a line on both sides...A screwdriver-looking thing...Something that looks kinda like a stick figure with a line through it's head...And a red circle."
"Okay. There's a 5-digit code you need to input here." Mallis states. "First the stick figure...Then the symmetrical Q...Then two screwdrivers...Then the Q again. Press the red circle to submit it."
"Got it." Mick says, removing his hand from the headset. He then follows the instructions, pressing the respective buttons. A light turns on near the wires, signifying that it's their turn. Cassie calls again, and Mick immediately answers.
"Okay...Now, the wires." the Rebel explains. "This part's gonna be tricky...All I know is, the middle one does absolutely nothing at all, and the left one may or may not be connected to a coffee machine elsewhere in the building. You have a 50-50 chance here if you pick right or left."
"That's...An odd way of doing it." Mick says. "...I guess I'll go with...I'm not sure..."
Removing his hand from the headset, he prepares to make the choice...

"Well..." Mick says to himself. "If the worst that Left can throw at me is shutting down a coffee machine somewhere else in the area, what could go wrong?"
The arsonist grabs the left wire, and pulls, removing it from the machine. The power slowly shuts down with a mechanical whirr. Mick then calls Cassie again.
"I got the power out. The left wire was connected to the power source, not the coffee machine." Mick explains.
"Great. Sending the clean-up crew your way." the Rebel responds. "Head back up to Tier 5 and stop by the alley you found me at. I have the payment here, and I can give you the communications key."
"Got it." the Rogue states, removing his hand from the comm system. He leaves the room, back into the factory's main room.
"Well...I got the factory and got accepted into a Rebellion..." Mick says. "What I do from here? I haven't a goddamn clue."
As he walks, he looks around at the carnage that started around the factory. He could still smell the smoke from the operations of machinery and the use of the flame-shooting weaponry. The discarded, empty Heat Gun is laying on the floor. Apart from that and a couple blood spots from the gunshots that reached their target, it seemed as though no battle took place in this room what-so-ever, aided by the complete and utter lack of corpse.
Stepping into the hall he wandered before, he decides to take a peak around the other rooms. A few less weaponized employees, which were promptly scared off when they realized no guards were left in the building. Mick continues to walk, ready to leave the factory.
Then, the gunshot wounds make themselves apparent once again. Holding his right arm, Mick continues to walk, into the next room. The bloodshed that occurred throughout the factory makes itself more apparent, with the corpse of the head mercenary lying on the floor. Surprisingly enough, the bowler hat wasn't set ablaze, instead deciding to simply fall off the head of it's deceased owner. Mick never noticed.
"Spoils of war." Mick states, picking up the black bowler hat off the ground. Dusting it off a bit, he proceeds to put it on. Looking around, he finds nothing else of interest, but he continues to leave.
After about 10 minutes of wandering around, Mick finally finds his way back out of the factory, just in time to see a group of Rebels - fairly poorly armed, and varied - approaching.
"I'm guessing you're the clean-up crew?" Mick asks.
"Yeah, yeah we are." one responds, seemingly the leader of the small group. "Y'know, Cassie never said anything about you having a bowler hat..."
"Spoils of war. Never. Say. No." the Rogue responds. "Anyway, I'm just heading back to meet Cassie now."
"Don't let us stop you." the Rebel says. They then keep walking, heading to clean out the factory.
About 10 more minutes of travel later, Mick enters the elevator, and presses the Tier 5 button, but it's suddenly halted at Tier 6...And Snart walks in.
"Snart...I see your job went well?" the arsonist asks his counterpart.
"Nearly died a few times, got shot at...The usual." Leonard responds. "How'd yours go?"
"Nearly died a few times, got shot at...The usual." Rory responds. "Found this hat."
"Let me guess; decided to snatch it off a burning husk?" Snart asks.
The elevator then stops at Tier 5. Stepping out, Mick heads towards the alleyway he met Cassie in. Snart, similarly, does so to meet the one who hired him. As Mick walks, he bumps into a guy wearing a purple hoodie. He's facing down with the hood up, so he has no idea who he was. Nonetheless, Mick continues on, to the alley where the Rebel recruited him.
"I see you're here..." Cassie says, turning towards the hot-blooded Rogue.
"Well, you asked me to come over here, what did you expect?" Mick asks with a smirk.
"Ha, ha, ha." Cassie responds, rolling her eyes. "Anyway, here's your payment..." She pulls out what appears to be a few bank notes of some sort of currency. Mick doesn't question.
"So, this is equal to...?" Rory asks.
"A few hundred." Cassie says. "Just extract it if you want the raw Omnilium." He then does just that.
A few minutes of extracting Omnilium later, he then focuses on Cassie again.
"And, I can set up the rebel comm key in your communicator, if you'd like." Cassie asks. Mick removes his earpiece, handing it over to Cassie, who then proceeds to get to work on it.
"I can go get Snart, too. Maybe he can be a part of the Rebellion?" Rory asks.
"Sure..." Cassie responds. "From what I've heard, he's good at what he does. He could potentially be useful to our anti-Imperial efforts."
"Got it." Mick says, nodding. He then walks away, to get Snart.

Hands in his pockets, Snart walks the streets, shades on his face, showing no noticeable emotion. The hood on his parka is up, and he's looking downwards, preventing people from seeing his face - he knows Stormtroopers walk these streets on occasion. Then, he bumps into Mick. Looking up at his hot-headed counterpart, he smirks.
"Guessing the deal went well, Mick?" Leonard asks.
"Yeah...Those Rebellion guys actually invited me into the team." the arsonist says.
"Have fun with that." Leonard says. He then starts to continue to walk. Rory walks with him.
"I went over to you because I was thinking...Maybe we can do this together...?" Mick asks.
"Huh. You're normally not one to ask me about these things." Cold responds.
"What do you say...?" Rory then adds.
"Sorry, pal: 'Hero' ain't on my resume."
"Come on...It'd be great to have someone on our side..." Heat Wave says. "For once...From what I've gathered, you've been completely alone down here until I showed up."
"...We'll see." Leonard says. "Bring me over to this employer of yours."
The streets aren't terribly busy, apart from the cars congesting the roads, making walking across perilous at best. Taking a turn, the duo of Rogues enter the alleyway Cassie is in.
"Mick..." Cassie says. "Just finished configuring your earpiece..."
"I brought Snart along...." Mick says, gesturing towards Snart. Swiping the earpiece from Cassie, he then backs up, to let the two get acquainted.
"So, just how...'Just'...Would you call your cause?" Leonard asks.
"Very." Cassie responds. "Coruscant is essentially a military state. They keep cameras everywhere, use lethal force whenever possible, and refuse to give anyone but those in the Emperor's little private circle a voice in how Coruscant runs. And, surprise surprise, nobody in that little circle speaks out against the current way of doing things. We're here to make sure that changes."
"Yeah...Like I told Mick, 'hero' ain't on my resume." Snart says. He then turns around, beginning to walk away.
"...Typical lower-tier crook." Cassie says, voice holding a mixture of authority and disgust.
"...What's that supposed to mean?" the Rogue leader asks, turning back around.
"You take whatever you can, then flee like rats when the pest control shows up." As she says 'pest control,' she gestures upwards, referring to the Stormtroopers that are a more common sight on the higher tiers. "Leaving whoever can't run fast enough..." She then gestures towards Mick. "To suffer the consequences."
"...Are you implying I'd leave Mick to his fate in Dredd's hands?" Snart asks, approaching her once again. "I don't know about you Rebels, but I never leave one of my own behind."
"Then what would you call what you're doing now?" Cassie asks with a smirk. Leonard removes his shades, throwing them back at Mick, who catches them. His cold blue eyes staring into her brown ones.
"...Fine." Snart says. "You've convinced me."
She smirks. "I knew you'd come around." Cold rolls his eyes, removing the hood of his parka from his head.
"So...Where do we go from here?" Mick asks, finally approaching the group.
"Well, we have to head down to the base..." Cassie explains. "I'm gonna have a hard time explaining to my boss that I brought TWO people in, when I was only supposed to recruit ONE...But it might be worth it."
"So, we're dropping by a base, huh?" Snart asks, looking back towards Mick. "I guess we're going, then."
"Let's do this." Mick says.
And so, they set off.
