Third Character Ideas
#1
Sorry if this is a bit premature. About 3000 more OM for Matrix and I can get a third character. Just sitting down and shamelessly stealing the Details/Pros/Cons format that other people have used for narrowing down their characters helped me eliminate four choices, but between these two I can’t decide where to go next. There’s still plenty of time and I plan on jotting down a few paragraphs for each to see how it feels, but I’d love any opinions on what I have so far.

And of course, between now and then, some wild card might sweep in and take it (though I don't really want to go with an impulse character - hence this thread in advance). And also, I might not even do the third character, but it sure would be fun.

Lord Zedd

Details: The big bad dude from Power Rangers. Taken from some point prior to the series where he is out terrorizing the universe. His stretch goal would be to overthrow Palpatine and seize the Empire for himself (Yea. I know.), and in the meantime would basically establish himself as a member of Coruscant and the Empire to do so. He’d also line up with LAW (and possibly the Reapers) extremely well. Pure evil, but with comedic undertones in his writing.

Pros: Get to run amok with a bad guy that’s wildly different from my other characters. Run wild with a lot of the other villain characters in the Dunes, too. Could fill up the Astral Realm with backstory.

Cons: Extremely limited movepool to draw from, would have to make up a ton of stuff. Concerned about my ability/interest to run a villain long term.

Kara Zor-El

Details: Supergirl. Not taken from particular source, but instead just a mashup of all the different versions of her. She would join the Empire, as Coruscant is the most familiar terrain for her, as sort of a “good guy joining the bad guys to do good” type thing, which adds a ton of potential since she’s not the same paragon of justice that Superman is. She’d be taken around age 22, so she spent 16 years on Krypton as a normal person, then 6 on Earth as a super powered being, and now in the Omniverse is somewhere in between.

Pros: Unique stat layout, for me at least. Character build would be different from Zack and Matrix, would keep it fresh. Ton of story potential, about her stepping out of Superman’s shadow now that he’s not anywhere around.

Cons: Character whose source material(s) I’m least familiar with. Character development might be too similar to Matrix’s at some points, which could get stale.

Tough choice....I like both of them what you have in store for them. Playing as antagonist to me is quite fun then playing as a protagonist.

This could just be bias to DC Comics, but Supergirl.
