Yet another swap

Alright you writers, once more a dilemma regarding a switch torments ones mind. For certain reasons i cannot continue Stewie, bla bla bla reasons that no one cares about. So here are my 2 options.

Sawada tsunayoshi ( katekyo hitman reborn ) This character has been on my mind sinds the beginning of my omniverse career. The character is fun, a great personality and easy to write for me. The only downside to this character are his moves. Besides his x-gloves, x-burner and his cape he doesn't have much going movewise. Basically i will have to start creating moves by pulling them out of my ass. Not that this is a bad thing but it feels a bit...meh. if that makes sense. Another positive point to this character is his potential story. I've already got a large story in mind which makes the character even easier to write for. The humor the hitman Reborn will bring as a secondary will keep the posts light to read.

Gary ( Pokémon , or a random pokemon trainer. Yes i can actually make this work in the omniverse. ) the other side of the coin. Movewise this character has a huge range of choice and who hasnt grown up with pokemon. Still...compared to Sawada his personality need allot of work to get the tone right. But think about it....how cool would it be to have an actual pokemon trainer running around the omniverse using pokemon to fuck shit up.

Pros sawada
+easy to write
+humor
+big story planned

Pros gary
+pokemon
+huuuuge list of move choices
+unique character in omniverse

Update : removed the cons as they are no longer viable. Got a good story planned out for gary now as well.
thoughts ?

Perhaps make the trainer an OC so you can go to town and create your own backstory, your own personality, all that jazz? You know my stance, though, Sawada all the way.

I mean I'll point out Sawada actually has a fair amount more moves than that. many of them happen to get thrown to the side is all and he relies really heavily on just basic attacks. stuff like zero point breakthrough, for instance, get totally forgotten about later. besides that, I'd imagine his dying will flames would be quite the weighty move with all the extra applications they have. That, and I'd definitely imagine a lot of his heavier weight stuff would quite likely be in the form of assists in the form of his comrades.
Still, if that doesn't satisfy you movewise just make one of the other guardians. I'd be the first to agree that Sawada has less techniques than any of his guardians bar maybe hibari do.

Though gary's also an awesome choice.

Thanks for your view on this, I did remember Zero point breakthrough , and this would have been his first supermove. The reason why i would go with Sawada over any of the guardians is that i want to have Reborn guide him through the omniverse and seek out new guardians after he acquired the rings. Also i am glad you actually know what i am talking about with this character. Those just were the cons that came t mind. Didn't want to make him into a one trick pony that he would come across as within the omniverse, seeing as the X-burner is the finishing move for almost every fight.

It seems to me like your best choice would be Sawada. You have a good few Pros and your cons are really inconsequential anyway.

-few moves
This is debatable, but you can make up your own unique moves if you run dry of canon ones.

-unknown for ppl
So? I've heard of like 1/4 of the characters that are on this site. =P

-just another anime character filling the verse
I don't really see how this is a problem, but maybe just my opinion?

Gary (even though it's GARY FUCKING OAK), on the other hand, has cons that could actually present a problem it seems. It doesn't matter how many moves he has if you have nothing driving you.

Thanks for your opinion Sensei, I think i am going to relax with a cup of tea and see what kind of stories i can think of for Gary. I have to be honest, i was so hyped i can make pokemon work in this place i never gave it much thought... was more focussed on what pokemon to get xD ..... i will get back on this subject after that cup of tea.

wait, just noticed the anime con... umm... You do know Gary is an anime character too, right? And that the influence even in the series Ash hails from to anime is still pretty dang heavy... right?

Aye...i do realise it is an anime character...but...its difficult for me to explain but its not like a naruto, bleach, one piece or dbz character. A typical anime character that just keeps getting stronger by boosts and powerups. This is just a character that trains pokemon. No wierd hollow powers or sage powers. If that makes any sense at all ?

I mean, while I can sort of see what you're saying, Pokemon do all those things. They transform into stronger forms (including a super saiyan style form with mega evolution, though I guess Gary doesn't have that), get a host of weird moves, some of which they can be based around, and need to train to get stronger, complete with friendship powers making them even better.

Exactly, it feels different for me. Also...seeing as pokemon can talk in the omniverse it brings allot of personal RP potential aswell. Currently making both rosters and test stories.

If anyone else want to share their opinion it would be appreciated.

Character name: Sawada Tsunayoshi a.k.a Vongola 10th

Character source: Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Character history:

Tsuna is an only child. He grew up in Namimori and first met Timoteo (the 9th) as a child. During this meeting, Timoteo felt Tsuna's potential and temporarily sealed Tsuna's Sky Flame with hope there's no need for Tsuna to be involved in mafia business. For the next several years until he was in middle school, Tsuna lived an uneventful life before Reborn's arrival.
One day, a hitman named Reborn came to Japan from Italy in order to train Tsunayoshi for the role of 10th Vongola Boss of the mafia. Tsuna was chosen because he was the great-great-great grandson of the First Vongola Boss, who had moved to Japan a long time ago. Since the arrival of Reborn, he always faced troubles caused by either Reborn or his associates, with Tsuna saving the day through his Dying Will Mode.

Tsuna was taken after the final battle with Daemon spade during the inheritance ceremony arc.

Physical Description:

[Image: Sawada-Tsunayoshi-Tsuna-sawada-tsuna-tsu...96-500.jpg]

Stats:
ATK:3
DEF:3
SPD:2
TEC:2

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength – 1000 OM

Starting Powers: Burst Movement – 800 OM Flight – 1800 OM
Master Acrobat – 400 OM Foresight – 1500 OM

Starting Moves:

Dying will bullet / Dying will pill. (RP fodder 0 OM)
When Tsuna is shot with either the Dying Will Bullet by his tutor Reborn or he eats a pill composed with the same material from the latter, his body limits are removed causing dying will flames to flow out freely. The flame becomes visible on Tsuna's forehead.
Tsuna is in the possession of dying will pills, he has no access to the dying will bullets.

Without the dying will flame Tsuna is just a helpless high school boy, a scared and clumsy one at that. Nothing special or powerful about him. none of his moves are available to him besides the normal state of the X-gloves. Without the Dying will flame he is restricted in RP to 1-1-1-1 stats. This is purely an RP restriction.

X-Gloves ( 600OM + Flight )
At first, they appear to be white woolen mittens with the number 27 upon them, but when used with the Dying Will Flame, they change into a pair of black, metal-clad Gloves. The gloves are made out of the same material as the Dying Will Bullets and can ignite the Dying Will Flame without the help of the Dying Will Bullet. The Dying Will Flame surrounds these gloves, allowing Tsuna to physically strike opponents with, essentially, a burning piece of metal. Tsuna is also able to use the Dying Will Flame to propel himself through the air at high speeds with great maneuverability

Hyper intuition( Foresight )
because Tsuna is part of the Vongola bloodline, he has the ability called "Hyper intuition" granting him greater insight than most.

Character name: Gary Oak

Character source: Pokémon

Character history:to be added

Physical Description:

Stats:
ATK:3
DEF:2
SPD:2
TEC:3

Starting Proficiencies: Physical Strength – 1000 OM Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM Area Attack Proficiency – 600 OM Debuff Proficiency – 1000 OM Remote Control Proficiency – 600 OM (requires Ranged Proficiency)

Starting Powers: Burst Movement ( 800 OM )

Starting Pokémon:

Charmander
[Image: Charmander-X-and-Y.jpg]
Starting Moves:

Using Pokemon ( 0 OM RP fodder / explanation, remote control )
Whenever Gary summons a Pokémon from its Poke ball he transfers his prime powers to the summoned companion by holding on to said poke ball. The Pokémon will have access to Gary’s moves and proficiencies. This makes it possible for the Pokémon to attack, Gary however cannot perform any attacks, all of his prime energy is being transferred through the Poke ball to his currently chosen Pokémon. Even though he can still move out of the way and dodge, he is unable to take actions himself, fighting with his Pokémon requires too much concentration from him. He controls them by communicating with them, as long as the Pokémon can hear him, he can give commands. If for any reason Gary loses the poke ball from his hand the Pokémon becomes passive and returns to Gary like a pet, he can still communicate with them, they just do not posses any power to do anything.

Claws (300 OM )
This move is usable for all Pokémon who posses claws.
Their sharp claws are like daggers, ripping and shredding their way to victory. Claws can vary between a length of 3cm to 20cm depending on the Pokémon. The wounds they can inflict are cuts and usable as many times as they want. Continues use however wears a Pokémon out.

Ember (300 OM)
This move is usable for Fire based Pokémon only.
Coming from the Pokémon's mouth it can shoot small fireball like orbs. They move at the speed of an arrow being shot from a bow and have the size of a Football. The Pokémon is able to fire 3 of these before it needs to recover it’s firepower within. Anything flammable that it comes in contact with this will catch fire or melt, depending on the material.

Flamethrower ( 300 OM)
This move is usable for Fire based Pokémon only
The Pokémon takes a deep breath and exhales a stream of fire. It reaches about 20 meters and the breath is about half a meter wide. Anything flammable that it comes in contact with this will catch fire or melt, depending on the material. A Pokémon is able to maintain the flamethrower for 5 seconds before it’s has to start breathing again. The Pokémon is not very mobile while performing this attack, it can take steps but cannot run. This can only be used once every 30 seconds.

Smokescreen ( 300 OM )
This move is currently only usable for Charmander.
Charmander takes a deep breath and breathes out a large area of black smoke, providing with excellent cover. The enemies visibility has been greatly reduced. The smokescreen covers an area of 5 meters around Charmander. Breathing in the smoke will most likely cause coughing and shortness of breath.
