Arrival at Camelot

After a few hours, the ogre and the prince arrived at the gate of Camelot.

The walk to the gate was surprisingly silent, he nor the ogre said anything in the two hours it took to reach their destination. Not like Zuko would start any conversation, he certainly didn't like talking to random strangers about trivial things. What else he'll talk about? His life? No way.

Well, he did mention some things at the fountain, but nothing really interesting happened there. Right now, he was thankfull for the long silence after their short presentation. Staying in silence for long periods of time was something he enjoyed doing during his trips back on the ship. Dealing with other people was never his thing.

That tranquility ceased to be once Zuko got himself through the gate. A light breeze passed by, carrying with it the smell of grass and nature. It was a beautifull day, the sun shining through a few clouds in the sky, the birds signing in the trees and small, wild flowers dancing in the sideways as the wind passed.

In a day like this, Zuko would probably spend it laying in bed and doing nothing, if not actively pursuing the Avatar if he ever decided to show up. But on these circunstanses, he was glad to see some life.

There was a pathway that followed after the gate. It went throughout the grasslands, not leading to anything visible in the nearby surroundings. There were some mountains far in the horizond, but nothing like a town or somewhere people could be found.

What would he do now? There was nowhere to go, he didn't have an objective or destination to follow, and this whole world was unknown to him. He had no idea what to expect from now on. The ogre was still with him at his side, but he seemed to be in the same situation as him.

“Now what?”, said Zuko, thinking aloud.

As soon as he made it through the gate, James noticed two people in front of him, well a person and a green creature. The creature seemed friendly enough, if the fact that they were standing near each other was any indication.

James stepped forward with a bit of a spring in his step and said with a tip of his hat, “Well howdy there fellas. What be a happenin’?”

Shrek was somewhat relieved to find that he and Zuko were not the only two people on this planet. He wondered how many others existed here.

"Well, me and Zuko got kidnapped and banished to whatever this place is by a man named Omni."

Just as he was about to ask Zuko if the group could accept the Western man (he wasn't like Donkey, that was for sure), a dark-skinned man sprinted near the three people.

"My animals...(pants) have you seen my animals?"

James turned towards the man that had run up to them. “hold your horses stranger and tell me what kind of livestock be ye looking for,” he said with a more serious tone then he used before. “Is it pigs?” the man shook his head no. “Cows?” No again “Horses?” No “Sheep?” No “Goats?” No “Chickens?” No. “Then what are they? I can’t think of anything else you’d raise.”

The man was frantic, “I lost my DRAGONS!”

“Dragons! Those aren’t even real you lune and if they were, why would you raise them!?”

Dragons? This peasant owned dragons? And they scaped!?

Zuko had to see them before believing whatever a random man in a random land was telling him, but the idea of seeing a dragon alive was kind of exciting. They went extinct before Zuko was born, so he only saw them in paintings and statues.

Zuko took the dragon owner by his clothes. "Where are these dragons!?"

Zuko really wanted to see one.

"One of them flew to the capital, Minas Tirith," spoke the man, "The two others dashed off to who-knows-where. If you're wondering why I owned dragons in the first place, it's because I'm the ringleader of a famous circus."

Shrek then responded, "We should hold a vote. All of us should raise their hands if they want to recover this dragon and do the opposite if they don't."

Having nothing better to do and preferring to have help, Shrek (along with the ringmaster) raised their hands.

"I'm not raising my hand, but count me in", said Zuko, crossing his arms.

"And how are we supposed to follow and capture these dragons? I'm sure that by now they already flew off who knows how far, while we are just a bunch men on foot"

If Zuko had his ship or rhynos, he could follow anything, anywhere, like he did with the Avatar and his flying bison. On foot with some other guys in the same situation as his? Not so much.

He looked at the other guy who arrived, the one with the weird accent that made it hard to follow what he says. "What about you?"

“He runs a circ’,” James said seriously, “a circ’ keeps young’uns happy. I like when young’uns are happy. I’m in. However, I don’t have a clue how we’ll round up these winged beasts. Harder still they went three ways. So, we will probably have to spit ways to round ‘em up. But that be dangerous. we just might have to fight these beasts to get em back." James sighed. "Which way do ye greenhorns say we should do this? Split or together?"

Shrek replied with, "I say we split up."

Then I'll go west as for the ability to follow them. I'd bet my right boot they'll stop at the first town they see. whether to eat or because they like human's they'll stop. that's where we'll likely catch them.

"I'll go north," Shrek decided, "I'll also see if there's anyone else who knows about these dragons."

Shrek set off north, while Zuko ran east and James went west.
