December Community Accolades (Until January 3rd)

Welcome to another edition of the Community Accolades!

Simply put, the Accolades involve elevating those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.

If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.

In the event that it's needed, I'll extend this for 'run-off' voting between people who might be neck-and-neck with votes.

The winners will become this month's "Community Stars" and will receive a blue user title in recognition of their achievement.
So, without further ado, here are the categories:

2015 Achievement Award (x2) - You may select at least two people that you think have had the strongest positive impact on the website, whether that is in- or out-of-character.

‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?

‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?

Most Helpful – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.

Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last ninety days OR have less than 8000 OM)

Favorite NPC - Which nonplayer character, prime or secondary, entertained you the most? Please note the 'owner' of said NPC, just in case someone (me) is ignorant of their exploits.

Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than last month's winner)

2015 Achievement Award (x2) - My first goes to Proto (OOC) for hosting such an amazing DA earlier this year. I may not have had much fun (much thanks to Eighteen, Alain and Blink ;-; ), but I know everyone else did, and the aftereffects of DA showed just how devoted they were to keeping themselves in the game.

I wish I could give this to a group, because it's difficult to actually pick from these people, but my second goes to Gildarts (yet again OOC), for creating a beautiful Secondary Saga, along with the other 'hosts', for us all to enjoy. The reason I picked her specifically is for playing as the leader figure of the Saga, and taking much of the workload of the group on Christa. I wish I could have made it just that little bit longer to get Grave more affiliated with her ^^

‘Best’ Character – I am loving Jade. Her last few posts have displayed the girl as extremely volatile because of the Colosseum livestreams, but somehow able to instantly pick herself back up... and start making FROGS. FROGS! That alone deserves a thumbs up. I am so glad that Ruby finally got to meet her IC.

‘Best’ Writer – I'd like to throw my vote in for Jade in this category as well, because I have been absolutely entranced by her writing like a cobra to a flute-player.

Most Helpful – Minato. Again. 'Nuff said.

Rising Star – It's hard to choose between Somerled and Aadibah ;-; I would appreciate it if I could place a vote for both of these awesome newbies, but if I absolutely have to, I will pass it to Aadibah.

Favorite NPC - I love Nealaphh's Aspects XD I have only seen a single post, but I fell in love with the lovable prisms as soon as I read the post.

Purple Ribbon - Akame. You have had to deal with quite a lot of shit lately, and yet you still managed to push out posts on the site, and you constantly stay friendly every single time you jump into chat. You more than deserve this award.

[Jade Harley]

2015 Achievement Award (x2) – Yu Kanda is a constructive voice in most of the threads he posts in, and I’m glad to see how he keeps a level head even when there is dissension during a discussion. He’s also writing in an interesting mock fight with Jon Snow that I will be grading, and it’s been a pleasure to read his writing. Keep being Yu, Yu. :frogbon:

Gildarts seems like a pretty chill person to me, and we’ve only ever talked briefly but she has always been super gracious and kind when doing so. I think most of what she has done for the site is pretty positive as well, especially when handling all kinds of judging. All in all, Gildarts is super great.

‘Best’ Character – Weiss Schnee! I’m not familiar with the character source, but that didn’t stop me from developing an appreciation for this character! A lot of what is written for her posts is pretty striking, as well.

‘Best’ Writer – Ururu Kyuuei/Tom Marvolo Riddle! He’s been coming up with some super interesting move ideas and has been writing some very, very excellent posts in the Legacy & War thread. I’m never bored by any of his posts, is all I can say.

Most Helpful – Kakashi Hatake! He’s been doing a lot of word around the site and it’s enough that in looking over the requirements for this space his name immediately sprang to mind. So! Thanks Kakashi, for all the work you do. :-)

Rising Star – Solomon Grundy. I really like this character and am super excited to be writing with him in the future! He sure was having a fun time in the Nexus, wow-ee. Also, Solomon seems to be a great conversationalist in the chat, so that’s a really good thing!

Favorite NPC – Nealaphh’s Rebecca, although the Aspects pull through for a close second. She’s a very curious character, full of life and personality, and so I’m usually excited to be reading anything featuring her. If I am ever not looking forward to a post with Rebecca in it, I have been replaced with a cold-blooded lizardmorph.

Purple Ribbon – Jupiter! Jupiter’s trying really hard to stay active and keep on trucking through Coruscant, and I’ve gotta say, their posts are pretty darn good.

2015 Achievement Award (x2) - Minaaatoooooo Dude has been rocking it since he became staff, and is always there to help out whether you are a veteran or new to the site.

Nealaphh: Ic that quest for volvagia's head on a pike. He has been pushing through for as long as I can remember, spent some time trying to find a shortcut between verses(though that part of the oimniverse had been changed so it didnt happen), and still decided to delay his plans to help New babs in this war. Talk bout making sacrifices and still working towards that goal. HUGE props to you man.

‘Best’ Character – Jaaaaaaaade. Obvs. Her posts are so in character, and she is even like Jade out of character :0 Also, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna lose my mock fight against her. RIP princethief.

‘Best’ Writer – Tom Marvolo Riddle. Dude has great vocab and writing style, and he has even helped most of us out with our own writing over with the Nippur Defenders. Solid Writer.

Most Helpful – Havent really been to the help desk at all this month :frog: so i dont think much of what i say here will have much weight to it, sorry :froggonk:

Rising Star – Hmm... I havent been keeeping uo much with the new peeps, besides the chracter switchers of RWBY with blake and yang

Favorite NPC - Klee and Shen continue to make me giggle whenever they try to have a conversation xD

Purple Ribbon - Gilgamesh. For having the balls to take Proto-Mouse on all by himself for his faction :froggonk: A feat that not many would be willing to undertake. RIP in pepperoni man.


Also I know this isn't on the list at all BUT TEAM RWBY HAS MADE IT ENTIRELY ON THE SITE! Woooooo. Great accomplishment there that should be noted.

2015 Achievement Award (x2) -
Proto-man, allot of site work has fallen into his plate, the coliseum, the Nippur war, the staff duties and the duties BEYOND staff he has done throughout the year. There is no one else out there that deserves this award more than you. Your dedication towards this website and its members is something that has to be recognized, and if it through an award, so be it! You got my vote !
Gildarts, ever since i joined i see your name everywhere. Every time someone needs help , an npc, a good story, a judge or someone to create an amazing saga with other staffers. You are always available for everybody and open your heart for anyone that feels drawn to it. Not only that, you write with passion, something I can see whenever I read one of your stories. Keep it up through 2016 ^^

‘Best’ Character – Bandit with no name, I have fallen in love with this character. Her attitude towards situations and people really grasped me. Every story feels fresh and new. For me, the best character of December 2015 is BWNN.

‘Best’ Writer – Jon Snow, Alright before you say anything, i know he hasn't posted for real in a while. BUT his first post in a mock fight to get back into things was REALLY good. For someone coming back from a hiatus this was some genuinely good writing ! hope to see more of you soon bro.

Most Helpful – Kakashi has been on top of things for a while, always helping, always staffing. His handling of the OM rewards has been very punctual. the second a fortnightly is done OR a month is over and voting OM is distributed he is on top of it. Helpful indeed !

Rising Star – no nomination here.

Favorite NPC - no nomination here

Purple Ribbon - Gilgamesh, his continuously positive attitude, even though his character faces some tough times, is admirable. He cares for his character and the people on the website. Does allot of work behind the curtains. and he deserves to be awarded for it ^^ good luck man !

2015 Achievement Award (x2)
1. Proto Man: Really can't not give it to him. Between Dante's Abyss, the Colosseum and the Dunes conflict you can't deny the contributions he's made to the site. And this in addition to the work he's been putting in staff-wise both behind the scenes and upfront. Hands-down deserves it.

2. Gildarts: Ran the Secondary Saga like a goddamn champ (still sad that I didn't jump into that) and has been working through massive, compelling storylines on BOTH characters. If you're like me, that's hard enough to do on just one account. She also went above and beyond in Colosseum judging and is just SUCH a positive presence OOC.

‘Best’ Character
Jade Harley, easily. She's got the character down perfectly, whether it be over the Dataverse or 'in-person'. Her latest stuff has been super fun to read, especially with the FROGGOCALYPSE beginning. :frog:

‘Best’ Writer
Has to be Ganondorf for me. He's completely blown me away with his contributions in Legacy and War. Ganny D really came back in a big way. Be afraid, mortals.

Most Helpful
TOUGH one this month. I'm gonna have to give it to Gilgamesh. He's really surged back since returning to staffdom, leaving broad swaths of completed work in his wake.

Rising Star
Solomon Grundy has really caught my attention so far. Grundy is a really interesting character and his stuff has been a fun read so far. Keep it up, man!

Favorite NPC
Haven't been keeping up well enough to pick a favorite. I'll come back to this one.

Purple Ribbon
Lubbock/Ruby Rose! He's really jumped head-first in his new Staff duties and has been a big help keeping things moving. He's always happy to help and seeks out stuff to get done.
