November Community Accolades (Until December 7th)

Welcome to another edition of the Community Accolades!

Simply put, the Accolades involve elevating those who have outdone themselves in a particular area each month. For variety's sake, the categories for each month may be different.

If you wish to participate, think of who stood out the most in a particular category this month and post your choice, along with a 2-3 sentence long explanation, in this thread. You are not barred from nominating your own characters, nor do you have to fill out all the categories.

In the event that it's needed, I'll extend this for 'run-off' voting between people who might be neck-and-neck with votes.

The winners will become this month's "Community Stars" and will receive a blue user title in recognition of their achievement.

So, without further ado, here are the categories:

‘Best’ Character – Which character has you engaged the most?

‘Best’ Writer – Which writer wowed you the most?

Best Bud! – A staffer or a member who gave you amazing feedback on a story or was simply there to help you sort out some of your problems.

Rising Star – Which up-and-coming member stands at the crème of the crop? (must have joined within the last ninety days OR have less than 8000 OM)

Favorite :frogsiren: Moment - Whether in-character or out-of-character, what moment had you spewing police sirens.

Favorite Faction or Partnership - It can be because of in-character exploits or just a highly entertaining out-of-character tandem.

Favorite Fight - We've had like, a dozen and a half of these, both in structured formats and in the free-for-alls in and around Nippur. What is/was your favorite match-up? In-character only (apologies to our OOC/non-canon battlers).

Favorite NPC - Which nonplayer character, prime or secondary, entertained you the most? Please note the 'owner' of said NPC, just in case someone (me) is ignorant of their exploits.

Purple Ribbon - Consider this a bonus category for nominating someone who, while they may not be the best and have all the twitter followers, you believe deserves to be recognized for what they bring the the Omniverse. (The winner must be a DIFFERENT person than last month's winner)

[Gilgamesh]

Best Character- Protomouse. I just love the fusion and the way you guys write is really good. I hope Mickey comes back soon so that I can read more of it but I believe you two do a very good job at creating an entirely new character very well.

Best Writer- Adam Gaite. A lot of your stuff in the colosseum was amazing dude and you are definitely in the right place to be there.

Best Bud-Adam Gaite- He's been especially helpful and fun and we have fun playing DnD together. He also helps me with some staff stuff and is generally a great guy around on Skype.

Rising Star- Hana/Arthuria- Her posts so far have been very excellent and she is a very active member in chat and on Skype.

Favorite :frogsiren: Moment- The second Nealaphh puts up sims. It's very funny and I'm sure a lot of people enjoy it very much.

Favorite Faction:I mean...if I can vote for my own...I will. If not then I would say The Institute is a very cool idea and I think they'll be super important later on.

Favorite Fight- TBA

Purple Ribbon- Yu Kanda. He gets work done, he on often, I enjoy his writing, and I would miss him if I stopped seeing him around. Also i can make plenty if Yu puns

[Jade Harley]

‘Best’ Character – Tom Marvolo Riddle. Tom writes this character so well that it kind of freaks me out a little, but I’ve found myself really enjoying how he portrays his character’s way of thinking and looking at the world. Some of the things he says catch me off guard as super poignant and straightforward, which is always a good thing.

‘Best’ Writer – Strazio Rockwell. I'll be honest and say that while I haven't gone back and read all of Straz's posts, I really like the ones that I have read and how much thought seems to be put into what words are written. All in all, an excellent writer and generally pleasant person as well.

Best Bud! – Demetri Malius. I pester princethief with so many things over Skype, and most of it doesn't even make sense to myself half of the time. Somehow he always seems to know the right thing to say, though. Kudos for being super helpful and nice.

Rising Star – Arthuria Pendragon. I've read most of her Nexus posts and they seem to be really up to snuff! Also, she posts just about every day, and it's always a joy to look over her posts in the early morning hours. Really livens up my day.

Favorite :frogsiren: Moment - All of the snek posts in the Snekverse. More specifically, Dean's snek cake and this freaking snake in a tie. I just... I lost it, pal. (ya darn snoot'n.)

Favorite Faction or Partnership - Hm? I would say the Omniverse Institute, if only because it's got some tremendously interesting ideas behind it, several objectives to tackle, and looks to be getting majorly involved in some pretty heavy stuff throughout the Omniverse.

Favorite Fight - UH. :psy: Tartaros versus Adam Gaite. That fight was super entertaining with how these two writers tackled their surroundings in order to pummel one another into the dirt.

Favorite NPC – Strazio Rockwell’s Valerie. I just like Valerie a lot, okay? I know close to nothing about this character and I think I’ve already fallen in love with everything he stands for, to be honest. Plus, he offers a nice change of pace from all the rest of the doom and gloom you’ll find everywhere else!

Purple Ribbon – Connor Hound. Connor has been making plenty of inquiries in the Help Desk in order to improve his role-playing process and to make sure that everything his character does is streamlined and even, which is a great quality to have. Also, I’ve noticed his willingness to reach out to other writers who are in need of a role-playing partner to get things moving story-wise. In short, Connor’s a pretty swell guy.

‘Best’ Character – TBA

‘Best’ Writer – Strazio Rockwell. Ever since the coliseum, he has continuously helped me better my writing and I have done my best to equally give him feedback and input. His writing just like, feels alive to me. It dips and peaks, but the peaks are always the most noticeable.

Best Bud! – Adam Gaite :'DDD Adam has been my best bud basically since my debut on the Omniverse. Blargh Brothers, and whatnot. Since then, he has gone on to continuously aid me with my character, creating moves, and my writing in general. He is also sincerely hilarious. Which is refreshing. BB FOR LYFE

Rising Star – Arthuria Pendragon continues to hold my interest. We've been talking and collaborating and whatnot because of the Fusion Fights, and she's pretty chill. Aside from being friendly in and out of cbox, Her writing is hella exceptional and I binge read her entrance post while simultaneously watching clips of her source Anime.

Favorite :frogsiren: Moment - I know its been a while, but EVERY Omniverse Cards Against Humanity Game we play has me ROLLING.

Favorite Faction or Partnership - I continue to enjoy the Institute, both OOC and IC. They are also the only faction that I have kept up with recently, aside from my own. (Sorry LAW and NB :T Love you both)

Favorite Fight - Wow with the coliseum and the base assault going on, this is a bit of a tough one. I'm going to say Kakashi vs. Strazio Rockwell, in the Coliseum. I loved their back and forths and the dynamic the two writers had. Strazio and Kakashi both have my deepest respect for any number of reasons, so that made the fight even more epic for me.

Favorite NPC - Another one for Strazio. After catching up on the Coliseum threads, I cannot express the smile that Valerie brings to my face. From what I have read, the way he uses magic is parallel to Strazio's ragesplosions and I find that beautiful. (Even if my musings are incorrect)

Purple Ribbon- Connor Hound. I'm with Harley on this one. Always asking, always wanting to learn. He really wants to better his skill at this trade, and that is something that I admire very much.

[The Rogue]

'Best' Character: I like how adaptable Bandit it, she is a character based off of the Omniverse itself, my vote has changed (sorry Neal)

'Best' Writer: Jade, from what I have read of Homestuck, you write her very well, I love your post, even your OOC ones seem to a little IC.

Best Bud: Jade, I have bugged her over ideas and she has gladly done so with me. Plus she also made me THE MOST FRIGGIN AWESOME AVATAR!

Rising Star: Arthuria, YOUR POST ARE LIKE NOVEL CHAPTERS MAN!

Favorite Faction: The Institute, just so many things to do, and quite ambitious!

Favorite fight: Bandit vs Okor

Favorite NPC: Valarie is awesome and funny

Purple Ribbon: Kakashi, he is just so helpful with everybody.

‘Best’ Character – Gilgamesh, Damn right it is Gilgamesh. The moment his first post went up in the battle for nippur i got hyped. Even though i am fighting on the other side this post really stuck with me and may or may not made me like the character Gilgamesh allot.

‘Best’ Writer – TBD

Best Bud! – It was a difficult to choose between Demetri and Dean....May or me not be mutual but... Dean wins.... Dean wins everything ever. Always have great fun with Dean. So in this Category, Dean wins. He is just always a blast to hang out with ^^

Rising Star – Arthuria Pendragon, Very active, very friendly and a pleasure to have around. A perfect example of what we are looking for

Favorite Moment - I usually just watch Adam spam this. IF there is 1 name i link to the frog and frog siren its Adam. That's right Blargh man, you are the frog representative.

Favorite Faction or Partnership - TBD

Purple Ribbon - Ganondorf ! A family man who made his return to the site to assist in the battle of NIppur. Making time to post with his busy schedule and becoming more and more active once again. I think that deserves some praise. Welcome back GannyD, hope you get a nice pink name bwhahahaha

‘Best’ Character – Dunno. Lemme think.

‘Best’ Writer – Thaal/Bandit - This guy's okay, I guess. But in all seriousness, I continue to find his writing to be crème of the crop-level stuff. If you're not reading that stuff, you're missing out.

Best Bud! – Yu Kanda. In the crop of new staff additions, I think that Yu Kanda has stood out, both behind closed doors and in front of them. (not to discredit any other new staff members, I think you're all wonderful)

Rising Star – Need to assess further

Favorite :frogsiren: Moment - Luffy. You know the reason why.

Favorite Faction or Partnership - The Rock n' Rock Connection. I don't know if this counts, but I'm otherwise too embroiled in the faction shenanigans. I think we should all petition Strazio to have the Rock serve as a permanent member of his roleplays.

Favorite Fight - Okor vs Bandit. I don't know what it was, but there was something about this matchup that was highly entertaining to me. One of the most interesting pair ups generated by the Colosseum.

Favorite NPC - The Rock (Strazio Rockwell) - If you haven't read the conversations between the Rock n' Rock Connection on the Dataverse, you are the lamest person I've met. They're amazing.

[Deadpool]

‘Best’ Character – BWNN. Deadpool HAS to meet this character.

‘Best’ Writer – Deadpool/Wakka. If that guy can ever just stop being over-critical of his own work and post more, he'd definitely be better than you slouches. =D

Best Bud! – Sasuke. Hope he returns soon. I understand many of you might not necessarily like the guy (I'm assuming because of his emotional outbursts at times, which I actually enjoy more than people who hold low-key grudges--i appreciate realism), but he really is a cool dude. He's helped me with a lot, whether it be site-related or not.

Rising Star – TBD

Favorite Faction or Partnership - Deadpool x Retane. Both OOC and IC. I really enjoy the fact that I can take light jabs at the guy--quite frequently, might i add--and he doesn't take them too much to heart.

Favorite Fight - Luffy vs. Alain (Go figure the guy who uses a joke character found the dick scene highly entertaining).

Favorite NPC - Baron Deathchew (Sasuke's creation). He hasn't been revealed much as of yet, but he's a savage with a band of misfit cannibals. Be sure to stay tuned in the future.

Purple Ribbon - Deadpool. He's cooler than all of you, combined; times 400.

Favorite Fight - Shang Tsung v Strazio was off the chaaaaain
