It's a little early for thanksgiving, but I was motivated to create this topic for two reasons! 1: some of you guys really make me smile when we talk on skype and stuff 2: I was at work yesterday and there's a long story but I'll put it short (unless someone wants the juicy details) but I go in the back to help this one guy do dishes and he had a huge amount to do accumulated from the night shift, when I went over to help he immediately thanked me and reminded me of when I did the same on Memorial Day (when the dishes were even worse) and long story short he knew I was moving and I don't think he knew the reason was my dad was sick but he repeatedly assured me it was "fate" for me leaving and kept assuring me with reasons. I didn't ask to be assured, but his reasoning was sound and I appreciated it. It alleviated some of the worries I was having without him even knowing.

Well that came out longer than I expected, but no one likes to do the dishes alone, so, tell those people who you appreciate that you DO. Or show them.

I have a number of friends on Skype I talk to that really make a difference in just brightening my day and offering hope. You know who you are or maybe you don't.

There's a long list and I don't think naming everyone is super needed, but there's someone I don't talk to on Skype very much, but Victor every time I see you in one of the chats you always strive to say hey and welcome me, even this morning I don't have access to mini chat, but you still wrote the words.

Thank you Victor and everyone else I talk to and write with for filling life with care and joy.

I'm thankful for most everyone who has ever said anything to me on this site, because I am a major lurker and it kind of helped bring me out of my shell. That's Gamzee, Jak, Adam, Dean, Tom, Connor, Tart, Phh, Princethief, Stephan, Thaal, Ruby, and a few others in no specific order, because I can't recall everyone aha. Especially those of you who added me on Skype, even if I never say anything to you because I am the lame. Thanks for putting up with the absurd amount of frogs I put in the chat, you guys, and for speaking to me at all.

Of course, I'd really like to attribute most of what I've done so far to Gamzee, because he encouraged me to start speaking up more often and to get involved in the community. Plus, when I was joining, seeing another Homestuck character surviving and thriving gave me the will to join! :'D (Also I spam clownfriends skype with caps and emoticons and he never complains!)

Uh, I'm also super thankful for my art, history, and English teachers, because they've really inspired me to write more and write better, too!

I am thankful for the wonderful person right above me ((when I typed this she was the last one above me)), a.k.a Jade who also made my awesome Avatar and for all of her quirkiness and awesome protrayal of her character. Minato and Kakashi, the helpful ninja's for helping me flesh out Connor, Adam, who put up with my bad writing and NPC'ed for me.

I am thankful to all of my New Babylon friends, Shay and Agnes especially, due to how fun it is to talk to them OOC about random stuff.Gilgamesh helped create one of the moments that really established my character and Sasuke has been working his ass off behind the scenes to get stuff going for us. Erik has been really cool too.

Gildarts because she is always nice and has given me some good advice on posts in the past.

Jade Harley- always seems full of energy and is really getting active in the community.

Tartaros as weird as it sounds because he is always a good laugh in chat.

Jak/Lugar: awesome person to talk to OOC and really friendly , plus a really fun person to write with and bounce ideas off of.

Saber- really fun to talk with and has been really active so far, its nice to see, I also really like both her characters

Guu: was fun to write with after DA and is always friendly, seems like one of the most level headed people on the site, also the Ambrosia threads are a joy to read and are a nice contrast to the more violent stuff else where.

The staff, although things have been pretty tense lately the site could not run without that staff and compared to some of the sites I have been on the staff here tend to do an extremely good job.

Omni as without him the site would not be a thing.

Thats everyone that comes to mind right away but there are probably a lot of people I have missed.

I've only been here for 7 months, and the site's already much different from then. I'm looking forward to what it will be 7 months from now!

Well, I'm still relatively new to the site, so I've only got a few acquaintances so I can only throw general thanks out to all the people I've had the pleasure of playing with so far.

The three in particular, though would be Yu Kanda, for bringing me to the site in the first place, Magus for putting up with my first attempt at combat rp on this site and Gildarts for judging said fight. It's been quite the experience so far and I look forward to what is yet to come

Aww golly gee, this thread makes me smile waay too much for me to resist replying to it, so... I'll give in 'ere as well.

Firstly, Victor and Mami/Agnes have been my main two buds since I joined New Babylon, and wrote with 'em, everybody else in that faction there being extremely supportive as well, including Sasuke, Gilgamesh, Jon Snow, and... Well, pretty much everybody I can't see in the Skype conversation now! Again, y'all too much for my heart, I swear.

Secondly, Adam Gaite, I gotta thank you buddy, not only for providing me with a metric ton of inspiration when it comes to writing, but always pointing myself in the right direction when it comes to things.

For my older pals here, Jak/Luger needs a definite mention for constantly being a sweetheart, honestly now, I'd say she's one of the nicest ones here!

Tartaros, as much as a bum you are sometimes, I gotta say, you've got this charm that makes me feel quite at home every time I see you in chat, so thank you!

Before I leave off, I must thank you as well Gildarts, for putting this thread into existence, making me want to get a cup of hot cocoa, chill out a while, and generally be one of the best representations for this site as a whole.

Alex: I don't think this site would be anywhere near as awesome as it is without your nigh constant work on it. This is on top of your real life responsibilities which are probably no less straining on you than mine are on me. You have a dedication to making things better that's both admirable and that makes me wish I were still staff, just so I could help with your awesome ideas. And you're just an overall cool guy to talk to. I never hafta worry about a ton of drama when we talk, which is nice considering all I get from my offline life. Thanks, pal!

Guu: Though we don't speak as often as we used to, you're still one of my closest friends. I remember talking to you after every new Steven Universe episode. You're one of the most compassionate people I know and you're always quick to speak up for the underdog. Thanks, lady!

Thaal: You came back to the site with a fury and during my stint offline you took the reins of LAW and turned it into something formidable. When I first formed the faction, it was just me and Enel, but now we've grown into something amazing. You're the man!

Retane: What can I say man? You always make waves wherever you go. You're a planner, and it's been awesome to see all your "threats" over the last year. The best thing is that when you make these "impossible" challenges, you somehow always make it through them on a winning note, even when you lose. You speak your mind and it can get you in trouble, but I never hafta worry about you wearing a mask around me. Thanks for always being true to yourself.

Gildarts: you've been a rock to me since DA. When I was down, you cheered me up and your bright outlook always has a positive effect on my life. Not sure where I'd be right now if not for you. Thanks for always being there.

Orion: our team up in DA was epic, as has been our back and forth with Link and Ganondorf from the beginning. I'm not sure how GD is gonna move forward without a Link to antagonize him, but with your help I'm sure I'll think of something. Aside from your excellent Hero of Time-ing, you're always awesome to talk to.

Gilgamesh: even as IC enemies, we've worked together to create a good story for our characters. You're level headed and rational, which I appreciate greatly.

There are a lot of others as well, but by far these folks above are the standouts.
