So, many people know that I'm planning on 'running the Gauntlet' which is the Retane vs Retane Fight, where Retane will fight his former self in five fights, back to back, of different times in his life. I'm dedicated to this and think it will be one of my best pieces ever.

Why am I doing this?


It's actually been one of like 3-4 Milestones I have with my journey with Retane in the Omniverse. After DA and watching some people burning out, it just fueled my fire even more to do so. I have a deep, emotional bond ith DA, just as I have with Retane, himself. It was meant to be a wake up call to those that burned out after DA and to say, "DA is meant to be an inspiration to write more". That whole idea became moot, after going to jail and losing interent access a wweek or two later.

But It's still going to happen... think it's set up that I'll have to post 30+ times Each FIght will be 3 posts a peice. That means I'll post 6 times, each fight. The minumum word limit on each post is going to be 1k.

That means 30k Words minimum just from myself. I have at least two people joining in the fray as well for certain fights, plus the intermission in between fights...

I'm constantly thinking about it and refining the rules to kick my own ass. So far it's going to be Alex as the judge, because why not? Omni Retane can die and be banished forever if he loses, but that wont stop me from trying to kick my own ass. Neither Retane has the mind set to back down.

Personally, this is to push myself even further. I have a story to tell and it will be told. I've been putting so much thought, that I have even been working on a playlist.... I Think I need one for each post.... But here are some of the songs on the PLaylist IM working on.... Oh, that sounds awesome! Maybe in the intermission pieces you can focus on the internal or psychological conflict that Retane has within himself? That would be a neat contrast to the actual fast-paced battle scenes, and could make for an interesting situation to write! Like a whole self-actualization quest, or something. Just a suggestion, haha ^^
