Character history:

The forceful result of Master Xehanort's take over of Terra's, a keyblade wielder, body, this combination of the two has lost all memory of his past lives in the struggle of supremacy that followed. Left unconscious, Xehanort (or terra-xehanort by some fans) was found by Ansem the Wise of Radiant Garden and taken under his wing as on of his apprentices.
