Character name: Cole Evans
Character source: Grind City Revolution (Original Story)
Character history:
Grind City, Michigan is a city with long-standing financial problems and a notoriously high crime rate. Gangs dominate the streets and have only gotten stronger since the arrival of several science and technology companies in the city, having stolen from their labs to acquire powerful new weaponry. With the police underfunded and overworked and the rich city council seemingly uncaring about the well-being of regular people, some of the city’s residents have decided to take matters into their own hands by combating the gangs and criminals themselves. These people are known collectively as the Revolutionaries.
Cole Evans is one of Grind City’s first Revolutionaries. A junior year college student at Bruce State University, Cole is a major in anthropology with a minor in political science. With his father in the US Army and his mother kept busy as a doctor in a hospital downtown, Cole doesn’t interact with his parents much. He has stayed in regular contact with his older brother Troy despite him also being busy as a Grind City police officer. One day, Cole and Troy were walking out of a convenience store, when members of the Knights street gang attacked them, as Troy was one of the officers testifying against them in a large drug case. Cole only received minor injuries, but Troy was killed. Angry for what happened and not thinking straight, Cole went out by himself to get revenge, having found out where one of the gang’s hideouts was. He fought and subdued the gang members in the building including the ones that killed Troy, leaving them for the police to apprehend.
After that first incident, Cole continued to fight against the gangs in the city, while also keeping up with his studies at Bruce State. He also formed alliances with other Revolutionaries around the city as they all fought back against the city’s criminals.
