What if people could pay half price to make moves that only their summons have access to?

Your summons have access to any move that you have, so paying for a move that only a summon can use would be paying for a move of your own, but you'd Role play it as only the summon being able to use it. I doubt that this would be allowed.
Also Quote:Assist characters have access to all of your Proficiencies, Powers and Moves. You may, therefore, wish to buy things and create moves specifically for your Assist characters. Implying that it's already going to cost full price.

Yes, I think Desco knows that. I think what he's suggesting is that moves created specifically for the purpose of being used by an assist, which is already rather expensive AND costs SP, could be discounted.
For example, I have a tier one summon, Simba, who possesses three moves it wouldn't make sense for Mickey to use. I paid the full 300 for each of them in addition to the 1000 for Simba, but under Desco's suggestion, if I made it clear that only Simba could use these and Mickey could not himself use these moves at will, I would have only paid 150 for each instead of the full price, since their use is INCREDIBLY limited and highly taxed already. Personally, I'm biased toward loving this idea because of how I'm building Mickey and how much cheaper it would make my life, but I can see why they'd want to keep it the way it is. That said, it does seem to discourage people from relying on Assists as their "Super" power (as opposed to a character built around Super Moves or Transformstions) and it'd be a cool way to encourage variety. ![]()

I see where your coming from, but you can't really just drop the price of the summon/ assist specific moves like that, and I say this because an assist/ summon has access to you moves, powers and proficiencies, and work off of your stats at the same time, it's pretty much just an extension of yourself that will fight for you for a set period of time.
So the move would be just as powerdul as normal, but you're paying half price because of it's limited usage. It'd be sort of a similar situation if I asked to pay half price for the super move I purchased for Edward, which can only be used in Salt Water.

So, you don't think that limited usage and having to pay SP for the post you use said move in more than makes up for the 150 OM you don't have to pay?
Then we can't really argue. It's really just a matter of preference and judgment. ![]()

I didn't realize you wanted to argue, I was just presenting my reasons for giving the answer I did, not trying to argue. I can totally see where you're coming from and what you're pointing towards though.

Argue, debate, I was using the word interchangeably, sorry haha. It's late. Haha. I can see where you're coming from too though.

You spend SP to have Assists. Huuuuge difference.

Heavily considered it. Even used it on a previous site. Didn't like it.
Consider that for some characters, all their 'moves' are attached to assists. Ie Pokemon trainer.
Curious about me and the characters I play? See the 'Staff' page! See also the rosters for my characters Samus Aran or Enel if you'd like to see examples of well-formatted rosters. Hope you enjoy the Omniverse!

As far as I remember, you also spend sp to use super moves as well, it's not that different. |
