Little Lost Kitten
#1
Cat was curled up by the fountain, although it didn't really look like one. It looked like some kind of pool now. She'd been lying on the ground next to it for at least an hour now, sobbing continuously until just a few moments ago when she'd run out of tears to shed. Her cheeks were damp and so was the ground beneath her head, and she sniffled often. People walked around her, most ignoring her or giving odd glances and moving on. Not that Cat really noticed. She wasn't looking up at all, more concerned about remembering.
Only three letters were remembered, K, A, T. Cat. That was all that was left of her name, or all that her name was. She didn't know. She didn't know if she had a family, or a home, or if this fountain was home. Cat itched at her wrists absentmindedly, fingernails dragging across fading scars from where she had scratched too much and peeled away the skin. At least, it appeared to be the cause as she continued making new scratches and peeling more skin. It wasn't until it caused sharp pains in her wrist that she stopped scratching. Oops. some scratches were bleeding slightly, while the rest were just missing a few layers of skin. Oh well. It'll heal.
The young girl shifted and rolled over so her back was facing the unknown world. She closed her eyes, trying her hardest not to cry but failing as choked sobs escaped her chest. I'll die here won't I... Alone in a foreign place that's too scary for me to go out in. I don't want to find a way out. I want to go home. It can't be a nightmare, it's too real. I want to go home... wherever home is...

Kiddo was an unusual goblin. She wore a light pink dress and wore her cream-colored hair in a cute little ponytail. If it weren’t for the green skin, razor sharp teeth and glowing yellow eyes, you’d almost say she was even cute. Despite her appearance she was a well-mannered girl. Thankfully, the benevolent orc tribe she ran with was quite okay having a person like her around.

She was traveling back from a long journey. She had travelled to Coruscant to obtain some medical supplies (the coruscant crowd reacts a lot less dramatically than the Camelot ones.) First aid was her passion, and she preferred to be stocked up. She was dutifully making her way to the Tangled Green with the wicker basket full of supplies.

However, it was then she noticed the young pink-haired girl weeping by the fountain. Concerned, she moved in closer.

“Are you okay there miss? Can i help in some way?” She asked, genuinely worried.

Quote:It’s up to you if you want to talk to her after you’ve freaked out or chase her off. I’m good with either ^^

Startled, Cat sat up to see a small green... thing.... in front of her. She backed away, to the point where if she went any further she'd fall into the fountain. The girl shook visibly, breath caught in her throat while she stared at the creature with wide eyes full of terror. For quite some time, she stayed silent and unmoving, not sure if she should wait for it to leave or speak. Perhaps if she were to stay still long enough... no, it looked like the creature was too smart for that. She'd have to do something. She could run, out into the white alien land, but there was no guarantee that she'd be any safer there, or that the creature wouldn't follow or be faster. A small voice spoke out, before Cat realized it was hers.

"What are you.. where am I? W-why can't I remember anything...?"

Kiddo nodded.

"I see, you must be a prime." She answered.

She reached into her basket and pulled out some chocolate and handed it to her. Reluctantly, she took and started to unwrap it.

"I usually save those for possible dementor attacks. You looked like you needed it more."

She moved in and sat next to Cat by the fountain, which caused her to flinch a bit.

"First of all, I'm a goblin. I understand your reaction and I know a lot of my kind are mean but I promise I'm good. Look."

She drops the basket in front of her. It's full of medical supplies like bandages and medicine.

"I'm a nurse, or well, as I close as I can be in a tribal society. Haha."

With the Goblin showing her good girl credentials, Cat slowly ate the chocolate she was given. The goblin continued.

"You are in the Omniverse. This part of it is the Nexus. In the distance are gates that take you different parts of it. In fact, I come from the Tangled Green."

She jabs a finger northwest.

"It's a universe full of trees and stuff! Anyways, you were brought here by the god Omni for some greater purpose. Couldn't tell you what, that's up to you I guess. You're what they call a prime. If you focus on a wish in your head, it might come true. Granting wishes a magic all Primes have. Something I couldn't understand really. I'm not a prime.

"Anyways, memory loss is part of the process. I wouldn't worry about it, it tends to come back to you eventually. Until then, you've got a magical destiny thing going for you."

Dark brown, tasted sweet... what was this stuff? It was clearly food and it tasted familiar... chocolate. It was chocolate. Curiously, she peered into the basket of supplies. Chocolate wasn't medicine, was it? It did calm her a bit to have something familiar. Dementors... maybe it was a weapon against them. Dementors hated chocolate? Odd weakness it seemed.
The goblin, as she called herself, kept on talking. Omniverse... Nexus... Gates.. what....? None of it made sense. Those doors... they looked so far away... Cat didn't think she had the endurance to reach any of them.
Cat froze when the goblin mentioned something called Omni. She stopped listening after that, her mind spinning and swirling. Not only had her memories just vanished. She had been kidnapped. Someone tore her from her life, forced her into a strange place... erased her memories... Cat stood unsteadily, wobbling on her feet as the chocolate fell to the ground, accompanied by tears. She looked around in a circle, trying to find a gate that didn't look scary or intimidating. She had to leave, had to find a way home. She had to get away from here. Sniffling, Cat just started running, as fast as she could in the opposite direction of where the goblin pointed. No where seemed really pleasant and she couldn't see enough to know that any where was safe. All she could really do is run.

As Cat bolted away from her, Kiddo reached out.

"M-Miss! Wait!"

She scrabbled to pick up her basket again and chased after her. However it didn't take long before it became apparent that her scrawny little legs wouldn't deliver her to the frightened little girl. She watched as she became smaller in the distance. Finally giving up, she hoped the girl will be alright, and turned to make her way towards the Green.

Palm trees. The gate was palm trees. At least it wasn't some menacing iron gate with some kind of monster protecting it. She'd been watching it for a long time, trying to decide whether she should go in, or move to another door. Cat had taken a long time to get there, with a few pauses during her 'escape' when she had broken down . Currently, she sat against the trunk of the left palm tree, wondering how long it would take to get to another door, and how long it had taken to get to the palm trees one. Was there any passage of time here? There had to be, right? Things moved. They had.... Velocity. Velocity meant..... What was it... There was... A distance... And a time..
That meant if she moved.. Then time passed. There had to be time.
Cat whimpered and pulled her knees in close to her chest, tucking into a small ball. Who's to say there aren't any monsters lurking around every corner, hiding behind every shadow. I can't do this... I just want to go home... but.... what if home is behind one of the gates? If I search long enough, maybe I'll find someone who knows who I am.. where I came from. It's worth a shot.
Resolved to find someone... or somewhere.. that was safe, or a way home, Cat shakily stood up and slipped around the trunk through the gate. I just want to go home...
