City of Ambrosia
#1
Quote:Continued from City of Teens

Guu wearily woke up from her king sized bed, deep inside her mansion/palace. For a second she thought she might have over done it with the base, but Ambrosia needed that landmark and it got one.

Climbing down a flight of stairs and out the door, she made her way through the jungle sanctuary in front of her house, which filled her with nothing but nostalgia for home. She remembered Hare and all the fun days she would mentally torture him so. She sighed heavily, wondering if summoning this place was only making her current disposition worse.

She made her way into town. Some teens were busy gathering and sorting food. Some were attempting and failing to rebuild some of the houses that got damaged in the fight, probably doing more damage than they were before. However, most were just slacking off, browsing their dataverse devices.

Guu sighed again. She couldn’t imagine these kids lasting a week before giving up. They lacked guidance. They lacked…

“Good morning Princess Guu.” Said one of the teens.

She jolted around, to see the source, but didn’t quite get a glimpse of him.

“Hey Princess Guu!” Said another passing teen.

As she walked through town, she would hear that several times, just random passersby’s all referring to her as princess. Eventually, she found Sylvia in the middle of town.

“Morning Princess Guu,” She said upon seeing her.

Guu just shot her a confused glare. Sylvia, noting her reaction, elaborated.

“Don’t worry, it’s just a nickname.” She said, but then a smile crossed her face, “Though, you’ve given so much to this town, you’re practically a princess to us already!”

She kind of reveled in the thought. While she enjoyed the power rush, being a person of authority seemed like an odd fit for her. She always kind of liked being in the background, being that person that pulled the strings. Doing that publically seemed like a good way to get repeats of the Gilgamesh incident.

However, before she could think more on it, she felt something. Her eyes shot open.

“Look out!” She yelled in her bored tone of voice as she jumped into Sylvia, barely nudging her out of place.

An arrow, flying at high speeds whistles past Sylvia’s ear. As her eyes gloss over with fear from what had just happened, a few screams from the teens around them rang out. Guu got her barrings and looked at the source, not that she needed it as it only confirmed what her senses had told her already.

Orcs, big, brutish, armed to the teeth, four of them in all, they were just standing there in the middle of the street.

‘How did no one notice them coming?’ She thought to herself.

She turned her attention to Sylvia, who seems to be frozen in fright. Guu stretched her arms to grasp her shoulders.

“You need to get the bystanders out of danger. Are you hearing me?” She said.

Sylvia didn’t respond right away. Guu shook her violently for a few seconds. After stopping, she could only muster a simple nod toward the little pink girl.

“Good, get them to safety, I’ll take care of this.” Guu said confidently

She struts forward towards the Orcs. As she did, her body transformed. In a flash of light, she was once again her adult form; nearly double her original size. Her hair flowed behind her, reaching down to her knees. Her eyes were fierce, fierce enough to get the Orcs to ready their weapons. Most of the teens reacted in shock and wonder at the sight, as they had only seen part of the Gilgamesh fight.

The only Orc with a bow pulled out another arrow and readied his weapon. However, he didn’t get much chance to use it as Guu’s fist impacted his face, knocking him on his ass. The other Orcs looked up to see that she wasn’t even 100 feet away. The other three were immediately beginning to look more nervous.

She runs forward. She aimed for the orc furthest to the right. He raised his weapon in preparation, but that just leaves him wide open for an impacting punch to the abdomen. The one next to him takes a swing, but she was fast enough to dodge and kick him in the head with a stretched out leg. The third one, just shocked by everything that has happened, gets the full force of a bear hug, leaving him in severe back pain.

As the three began to recoup, Guu ran up to the orc flat on his ass and grab him by the legs. She starts spinning in place, causing his body to rise in the air a little bit from the sheer force alone. She suddenly let go, launching him into the air, traveling off into the distance away from town.

The other three were horrified at what they just saw. She just gave them a gnarling glare and that was all it took to send them running out of town.

Guu shifted back to her child self. The teens slowly approach her, unbelieving of what they just saw. Sylvia was first to reach her.

“Wow, Guu, that was… that was amazing!” She said.

Guu just glared up at her.

“Ask around, find out everyone’s skills. If someone can fight, I want to know. If someone can build a house, I want to know!” She said. She turned to the crowd. “This isn’t the last time they’ll bother us. We need to be prepared for anything if we are to survive! Now get to it, it’s survival of the fittest out here!”

The teens, quickly, disoriented, bustle to get something, anything, done. Sylvia just has her jaw dropped. Guu shot her a look, which got her to straighten up.

“Will do, I won’t let you down Princess!”

As she ran off to ask around, Guu gave off a sigh as she came to a realization.

‘This is a thing now apparently…’

Guu was taking a walk towards the outer reaches of the city. It was peaceful and quiet. The sounds of forest wildlife in the distance combined with the fresh air were just what she needed right at that moment. Her mind buzzed with turmoil. Not only was she taking a very public image as leader, but also she was leading a bunch of idiots who had no clue what they were doing.

Outside an intermediate martial artist or two, she was the only one in the entire city with any fighting experience. She could fight the small handful of Orcs from time to time, but what if an army should show up? She shouldn’t care what happens to these people; she had no reason to. So why is she even staying? Why was she risking her own livelihood and freedom? Did she think she was responsible for these people because they saw her as a person of authority?

In retrospect, she should have seen this coming. She should have seen everything coming, but she was so used to being in control of every detail that she wasn’t used to things not going her way. She let out another big sigh in frustration.

But then she saw it: that big yellow door just sitting in the middle of nowhere. She had completely forgot about. She walked up to it and inspected it again. It looked the same as it had the first time she encountered it. Same wood finish, same new polished look, same lock…

Then she had a revelation. She pulled out the key she collected days before from her stomach. The words “Cubic Zirconia” still engraved in its surface. She lifted it up; it was the same shade of yellow as the door! Slowly, she slid the key into the keyhole. Grinding, it slid into place, clicking perfectly into the internal mechanisms. The door nob started to glimmer in response as the door glows lightly in response accompanied by heavenly music, indicating, if a bit melodramatically, that it was a perfect match.

However, before she could turn to unlock, she could sense something in the distance. Just at the edge of her senses, she could feel the faint detail of something, shaped as a human lying on the ground in the forest. It was too far to get anything else but that, but it was enough to tell that whoever they were, they weren’t going anywhere anytime so.

Guu considered just ignoring it, but that grating feeling in the back of her mind wasn’t going to just let it go. She yanked out the key, which reverted the door back to the way it was before. She stomached it and ran off in the direction of the disturbance.

Lying on the ground was some guy with deep red hair, glasses, and long beige coat. She guessed he must have been 18 or 19. The area was heavily damaged, it looked like a major battle had taken place here. However, the kid only had cuts and bruises, it didn’t look like he lost a battle, nor did it look like it was enough to knock him out. She inspected him over. No serious injuries she could find.

She considered just leaving him. However, who knows what beast waited in the woods, ready to pick at the easy meal. Not to mention, those wounds could get infected. That grating feeling in the back of her head took over again. With a heavy sigh, she precariously lifted him onto her back, stretching her legs out so his feet wouldn’t drag on the ground. With a huff, she carried him off towards Ambrosia.

As she walked into town, the young man in toe, many of the teens began stopping what they were doing to look at what their princess had just dragged in. Some even ran to hold onto his legs, shifting some of the weight off of her. Eventually, Sylvia arrived with several teens following close behind with a stretcher.

“Found him unconscious in the woods.” Guu said with a huff. “Looked like he was in a battle.”

“Thank you for your help, Princess!” She said in an uncharacteristically cheerful tone. “Just leave him on the stretcher, we could handle it from here.”

She winced at being referred to as a princess again. However, she complied and laid him out on the stretcher. The citizens lifted up it up and carried the man off into one of the houses.

Guu looked back the way she came. She was too tired to go whatever that door had in store for her. She thought it best to recoup and try it again later.

“If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the palace.” She said, walking off in the direction of her house.

The beautiful full moon shone down upon the newly erected palace. The sound of the moped resounded throughout the town. The Moped's headlight shone down the road, making Mako able to make out the details of the area. Mako had to use the headlight, it was pitch black outside. Without the headlight there was no way that Mako would be able to see straight. "I wonder if I can get my moped repaired somewhere. Actually, does the Milkman's playground even have repair shops? Well, they have robots here so they might. Oh! Maybe I can get a robotic arm? Yeah, one that shoots lasers and maybe a cool laser blade?" Mako said aloud.

Mako pondered at the idea of getting a robotic arm. Indeed, it would be amazing but how much would it cost!? Mako was strict with her money. She didn't have any idea on what to use for currency in the Milkman's playground. Thus, she worked for food! Whenever she met people she asked if they needed some chores done and in exchange she got to eat dinner with them. Of course she enjoyed spending time with the kind people who fed her dinner. So she didn't mind doing chores for them. Thinking about dinner she did start to feel hungry. A growl emitting from Mako's stomach brought her out of her thoughts. "I'm hungry again. I wonder if I can find some food soon." Mako wondered to herself passing down the deserted road.

Mako had noticed that some of the buildings were ruined, but ruined by what? Maybe a giant killer robot came and scared everyone off!? Wait, maybe this was her chance? Maybe she could gain that robot she wanted! Yes, she could pilot Zero 2.0. Just the image of Mako flying into space riding a giant Robot! Mako could already see it now. Without even noticing it Mako had already covered some ground while her thoughts were filled with Zero 2.0. "Huh? Wow! I covered sooo much distance!" Mako exclaimed, twisting and turning her head to stare at the houses.

Soon enough trees started to appear on Mako's sides instead of houses. Mako didn't realize it but she had made some stir going through the town on a loud moped.Nevertheless she continued to ride her moped down the makeshift road. "I wonder what I'll see in here. Maybe I'll meet a Witch? Perhaps even a Fairy!? Maybe I'm actually part Fairy and I'm actually next in line to become the Fairy Queen!? Can Humans and Fairies even mate? Then again, it does remind me of that one story. Uh, that guy, he had two different races in him. What was it? Hello? No, it was more like holl? Holly? Yeah, Holly sounds close to it! What was the other race though?" Mako pondered inside her head. What was the other race that the boy had!? Holly and what else?

While Mako tried to think of the other race which was on the tip of her tongue she didn't notice it but she was getting awfully close to a certain palace. Just to Mako's luck the headlight of her moped suddenly started to blink and finally shut off. Mako was oblivious to all this, just focusing on the question at hand. "Maybe it was a Shini? Shiki? Shiki, that sounds about right! Yeah, it was a Holly and a Shiki! Maybe, or was it a Qui-. Uh! What was it!? Was it really a Shiki and a Holly? Maybe, wait, why don't I ask somebody?" Mako was deep in her thoughts. Just now she had finally returned back to reality but all she could see was darkness.

Mako suddenly felt something hit against her body. The force of the Moped still carried her. "Pshie!" A sound escaped Mako's mouth as she hit the huge window of the palace. Mako found her vision darkening as the sound of shattering glass filled her head. Mako barely scratched and her moped landed inside the fabulous Palace, however Mako was unconscious.

Guu was chatting it up with Doomguy on skype when the distinct image of a girl on a moped came into range of her senses. She didn’t think much of it at first, but then she was quickly riding into her jungle sanctuary. No one attempted to stop her. Typical. Suddenly, the girl on the moped collided with one of the windows downstairs. Guu sighed heavily as she quickly opted out of her text chat.

As she climbed down the flight of stairs, she had some time to think. Not only was she slowly becoming the leader of this town and was getting shoved into this hero role, but now people were driving vehicles into house as if it didn’t matter. Did they think she would spare them of punishment? Did she really have such a rep that they think they could get away with anything while she’s around? The thought of being a pushover to these teens slowly caused her to slowly boil in rage.

She finally made her way into the area of the crash, which was one of the bigger guest bedrooms. Floor covered in glass, the girl with her moped lay in the middle of the room, snoring silently. Aside from cuts and bruises, she didn’t look like she suffered too much injury. This couldn’t be said for the bed she landed on which had been split in half on impact.

Guu stretched her arms across the room, picked up the girl, and retracted so she could get a good look at her. She was cute, too cute. Was she hoping her cuteness would get her out of punishment? Well, she wasn’t going to take it anymore. She decided it was this girl she would be make an example of. No more Miss Hero.

She carried her to the top floor and into one of the bigger bedrooms. She stripped the girl down to her underwear and dressed her in an extra extra large Guu t-shirt which is now the only thing barely covering her body. She rested the girl on the bed. She summoned water to fill the room and continued to do so until it was almost as high as the surface of the bed. Then she summoned a pair of toothless crocodiles to inhabit the water. She only wanted to scare the girl after all. She made sure every crocodile had a pink top hat and monocle, because those are cool.

Next she drew pentagrams and pictures of decapitated unicorns all over the walls, which eventually turned into a full-blown mural. The centerpiece was a drawing of Guu with a word bubble that says, “You are my bitch!” which was within eyesight of where she was to wake. She started to wonder if she was being too harsh. In hopes to lighten the punishment a bit, she put a mint on her pillow.

Outside the room, she summoned a Cerberus/Poodle mix (Pooderus) to guard the door. It growled at Guu with its three heads because poodles were fierce and horrifying creatures. She knew this quite well. She dropped the girl’s clothing down the laundry shoot and left with a confident strut, knowing that situation had been handled.

Sure, she was plagued with follow-up questions: How was she able to do all that before the girl woke up? It must have taken hours. How did she exit the room without spilling water into the hallway? Why did she think pink top hats and monocles were cool? But in the end of the day, it didn’t matter. It was a lot more work then usually, but she felt more in her element now. She felt like her position as the trickster spirit was secure.

Not to mention, when that girl wakes up later, she’ll tell all her friends how scary it was and all those teens will know that they are not the boss of her.

It was around this point that Guu realized she was late for another photo shoot and rushes downstairs.

Quote:Continued from “Along came a Gildarts.

Guu watched as Gildarts ran off to do his task. She was a bit nervous considering what failure in any of the conditions would mean for the city, but what was she going to do, send one of the teens to do it?

She initially decided to give up worry and try to get her mind off of it. She went back to the studio only to find that her photographer had quit. Realizing she now has some free time to kill, she does some surfing on the dataverse; made a few tweets, wrote a blog post, ect.

After a little while, she decided it was about time to let out the girl she locked up earlier. However, when she made her way to the top floor, she was surprised to realize that the girl had escaped somehow.

“I guess she’s tougher than I thought.” She said out loud. She shrugged and left the mess for the staff to clean up.

She patrolled the city, seeing if she was needed for anything.

Food supplies had halved since it was all first brought out. Sylvia is anxiously crunching numbers, fearful they might not have enough food to last until harvest. Water however seems to be not a problem as the Langweiligians had a well set up which connected to a giant underwater reservoir. Guu suggested trading some of the water for extra food, and Sylvia ordered some people look into that.

T-shirt sales were through the roof when it started out, but have since slowed down considerably. Some of their market people think it’s because of only having five choices, and for a moment She regretted chasing off her photographer. Only for a moment though.

Other than that, the rest of the day just came off rather ordinary. She was somewhat bored, but at the same time, she was relieved no more stressful things happened that day. The thought that she was now thinking like an old person scared her to near death.

As the evening turned into night. She watched from her window as the teens all bunked down into their chosen homes. She never noticed how empty Town Square was after dark. As the last light went out on town, the village was obscured in pitch black. With the light pollution gone, it brought brightness to the stars.

She knew that starry abyss above was fake. It had to be based on what she had read. But seeing that empty void again made her homesick for the first time in a long time. Not just for Earth. She couldn’t think of a day where she didn’t reminisce on that tiny little planet at least a little bit. For the first time in a long time she yearned for her birth place.

A place where the stars were her playground, where the gods bathed in the immaculate beauty of the expanse as if it were the daily routine. Back then, the cosmos was the mundane. Time never had meaning to them; it was such a human concept, they just lived as they did, both all-knowing and completely ignorant on how the universe worked at the same time.

She could remember the times when she would sometimes interact with her uncles, or at least that’s what she called them in retrospect. (Really, most of them were above the Earth concept of famlies.) She remembered how easy it was for them to slip into routine. Gods didn’t really have plans, even when they were in complete control, it was so easy to just let fate decide; even if it was them that made it fated to begin with. Some just subconsciously created the path ahead, while some just make it and then forget about it. Our immortal lives had no meaning, for the downside of knowing everything is that you know from the beginning that there was never really a point to it all to begin with.

Guu could remember the day she found Earth. She had often seen the comparison that the gods must see humans as ants, but she knew from experience that they really saw them as mere atoms. Smaller lifeforms were just minor building blocks of the universe and didn’t see much damage in their demise.

However, as she took a closer look, she discovered their curiosity and enthusiasm. The concept of actually having interest in the world around them was so alien to her, she nearly killed herself trying to comprehend it. But when she finally got it, it quickly infected her.

It took her a long time, but eventually she took this form and joined the human race to experience it for herself. She learned so much from them. They taught her the significance of human interactions, they taught her the progression of time, they taught her the beauty and complexities of the universe. After a while, she had gotten so ingrained in their culture that she couldn’t even imagine ever yearning for the place that brought about her existence. However, here she was. She guessed the irony is that it was humanity that taught her nostalgia.

Guu’s thoughts drifted to Omni. She wondered if he ever had thoughts like this. It would be nice to have someone to talk to that could relate. She knew from the way he talked that he must have found that curiosity much like she had. She couldn’t wait for the day she could meet him.

She sigh dreamily as she drifted off into sleep.

The sun peeks over the hills that surround the valley, slowly bathing the streets of Ambrosia with a stream of light. Not a single cloud was in the sky and the birds sing for what will be another beautiful day.

The sun travels all the way to Guu’s mansion where is pours into the windows of her bedroom. She lay sleeping, her eyes half open. When the sunlight touched her exposed eyes, she shifts awake, groggily sitting up and rubbing the dust out of her eyes. She stretched her arms out into the air, touching the ceiling. She climbed up onto her feet and made her way out the door.

She felt somewhat accomplished this morning. Maybe the introspection the night before really set her head straight. Whatever it was, she felt almost invincible.

Making her way out of the mansion into town, she noticed some of the citizens waking up themselves, clamoring out to the middle of town where Trisha was setting up a free coffee stand. Guu had heard horror stories about Trisha’s coffee but to those who drink it, there weren’t that many options.

“Coffee! Get your coffee! Low low price of state funded!” Trisha yelled enthusiastically. Several dozens of the teens walk like zombies towards the booth. Some of them down the luke warm bitter brown liquid in one gulp just to get it over with, others dump loads of sugar in the stuff in hopes to drown out the horrid flavor, to no avail.

Suddenly, one of the teens, a short kid with messy brown hair and a shirt that reads “farming sucks,” run in from the south, looking both frantic and excited. He approaches Sylvia’s side and whispers something in her ear. He places something in her hand which she examines carefully. She whispers a question to the kid which he responds with a nod.

She steps forward and shadows another teen. She hands him a fruit that looks like a raspberry but an odd teal color.

“Do me a favor and eat this without spitting it out.” She said to the teen. He glances at her nervously. “Don’t worry, it’s not poisonous.”

Reluctantly, he reaches out and picks it up. Slowly, he brings it up and pops it into his mouth. As he grinds it against his teeth, he has a look of pure disgust on his face. After a bit of prompting, he swallows, sticking his tongue out in revulsion. She suddenly hands him a cup of coffee.

“Drink this to wash it down.”

Not even questioning it, he quickly grabs the coffee and gulps it down. As the liquid runs past his tongue, he dons a look of shock. He pulls away from the cup looking surprised.

“This coffee is delicious!” He said in utter amazement.

Sylvia looks at him with a heavy level of satisfaction. She turns to face the larger portions of the crowd and speaks loudly, holding one of the fruits up high.

“This fruit is called Dame. Our parents were experimenting growing it.” She says, excitedly. “This fruit is so incredibly bland that it makes anything you eat right after taste like the best thing ever, no matter the quality.”

Everyone chatter as they comprehend the concept. Sylvia continues

“Every low grade restaurant in the Omniverse will want this, and the orchard in the south field is ripe! Salvation is at hand Ambrosians! Today we harvest!”

Everyone in the crowd roars in celebration, then quickly die down as they realize they are being asked to do real work again.

“Move it!” She yelled.

Under Sylvia’s directions, people get to work, grabbing baskets and plucking fruit from Dame trees. Some of them were kind of begrudgingly getting started, while some were quick to get hands deep into the farm work.

Sylvia and Guu watch on from a distance, the former taking notes on a clipboard, the latter just kind of watching.

“This is the break we’ve been waiting for Princess!” She said gleefully, Guu slowly looking up to stare at her. “This will bring enough revenue to keep us afloat for a while!”

The princess was kind of relieved. She realized she must have already finally grown attached to this place if she actually cares whether it fails or prospers, but she was over that by now. She could just simply enjoy good news for a change.

However, the moment was quickly interrupted. The brown haired teen comes running up, huffing exhausted.

“More good news?” Said Sylvia casually.

“Not huff really. huff Well, huff more neutral than anything.” The boy said, he took a moment to catch his breath, then he turned his attention to Guu. “Princess! We have visitors! They want to meet you!”

Guu glanced at Sylvia, who returns the glance with a nervous look.

“I’ll handle this,” The princess says, then she turns to the boy. “Take me to them.”

Guu stood in the presence of what was an entourage of strange and unusual creatures that were completely unrecognizable to her. One was a rabbit/cat eared being with a curly tail and spikes, another was a flying creature with a white bean shaped body, spiky head, and strange symbols all over it’s body. Not far behind was a pink colored bulldog that looked like it was wearing a blue polka-dotted dress. One looked like an oven with arms. There was a pinkish thing with elephant-esque ears and weird twisty twirly things under its ears. Writing on a clip board was some sort of sheep thing with green horns. The oddest of the bunch was some bird-faced creature with wolf ears and a poofy butt. And finally, the leader of a the pack was a white cat thing with a long ferret like body, ribbons all over. From her experience with the dataverse, she had a pretty good guess on what they were.

“Welcome to Ambrosia. Excuse me if I’m wrong but, are you Pokemon?”

The leader of the pack stepped forward and respectfully bowed.

“You are correct your highness!” She said pleasantly. “Allow me to introduce myself and my associates. It’s Clefable, Snubbull, Aromatisse, Whimsicott, Togetic, Rotom, Audino, and my name’s Sylveon. We forgive you if ya don’t get all our names right away.”

Guu looked them over again carefully, then turned her attention to the leader again.

“What is your business in my kingdom?” She asked. “I assume something film related.”

“Quite simple your majesty. We’re a film troop. We used to function entirely in Cinnabar, but we got tired of filming only pokemon. So we thought Ambrosia would bring us more prospects. Imagine actually shooting a film with humans in it!”

The others marvel at the concept, going starry eyed. Guu thinks carefully on her offer. She worried about other mouths to feed, but she also considered the strengths of having a professional film crew handy; especially one as odd as this.

“Sure, you’re quite welcome to stay.”

The group glow with glee at these words.

“Oh thank you Princess! You won’t regret it!”

“Actually,” She continued, “if you don’t mind working right away, my photographer for t-shirt designs just quit on me. So if you can do that...”

“Oh yes yes yes!” Said Sylveon excited. “Say no more! We’d be glad to do it! Consider it our testing grounds.”

Soon, Guu and the troop were in the green screen room. The group all set up equipment while Aromatisse takes the princess aside and sits her on a pedestal. He starts applying make-up.

“I’ve never worked on a princess before. I’m envious of your completion. My dear, it’s almost divine!”

“You have no idea.” She said a little sarcastically. He didn’t seem to catch on to this at all as he just keeps on doing his thing.

“So is there a prospective prince charming?” he spoke casually, his jovial voice disguising the obvious small talk.

“Well, there is a boy I like but... he’s a bit out of reach.” She almost had a double take at her own candidness. Aromatisse only only chuckled.

“Well, I wouldn’t lose hope, darling. I thought my girlfriend was out-of-reach too once, but it all worked out for me an her.”

Suddenly his eyes meet with Whimsicott’s who had peered up from her clipboard that particular moment. He blows her a kiss, which causes her to chuckle a blush before burying her face in the clipboard.

“Ah, such is love.” He said wistfully. Suddenly, he nudges Guu of the stool and onto her feet. “You’re all set my dear. Go knock ‘em dead!”

She approached that center of the floor, Sylveon seemed preoccupied giving directions to Clefable who was adjusting the camera, and rotom, silently setting up lights all around. Guu noticed Snubbull, Togetic, and Audino lazing around, chatting amongst each other casually. She beckoned Whimsicott over.

“Why aren’t they helping?” She asked.

“Oh! Well, Togetic works the sky camera, which we won’t need here. Snubbull is the sound guy, so he won’t be needed. Audino is our editor, she doesn’t get to work until after the fact.”

“Ah...” She said, lacking anything to say in response.

“I’m producer by the way. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate.”

“What works is this group known for?”

“Well, we worked on in several soaps: ‘Daytime Aipom,’ ‘Snorlax in Love.’ But we’re most famous for the ‘Pokemon Ronin’ series.”

“Never heard of it.” Guu replied plainly.

“Not shocked. Youtube’s algorithms tend to only advertise your videos in regions you live in, so yeah, only Pokemon ever saw it. The Tangled gets both Camelot and Coruscant thanks to the elves and Ninja around here.” She steps in close to Guu and whispers. “I think that’s partly what influence Sylveon to come here.”

The princess literally zipped her mouth shut and threw away a key and gave her a wink. Whimsicott was oddly not put off by this, only grinning and returning the wink.

Sylveon stepped towards Guu.

“Ah! My favorite Princess! Are you ready to shine?”

Whimsicott ran off as Guu responded with nod.

“Thanks for the honor to photograph you your majesty!”

Sylveon and gang were packing up after a long photoshoot.

“It’s all good.” She said in her familiar monotone. “You’re free to use the green screen anytime.”

Sylveon looked flabbergasted.

“I don’t know what to say, thank you so much.”

“You can repay me with good films and photographs.”

“Will do!”

Guu walks off the set and out of the room, leaving the Pokemon to their clean up.

She occupied one of the guest bedrooms as she lay down, watching the ceiling. The accomplished feeling from that morning hadn’t left at all. Instead it has increased tenfold. Now Ambrosia has a means of making OM outside merch, and now she has a film crew that could possibly establish an art scene for her city. She felt content with this day so far. She wondered to herself if it could get much better.

She wondered if she could make it a solid three. But then it struck her.

Reaching into her stomach, she pulled out that yellow key. The words “Cubic Zirconia” still etched in it’s surface. She had completely forgot about it with all the recent events.

‘I bet there’s something good behind that door.’ She thought, clutching the key between her fingers.

Climbing out of that bed, she sprints out the door.

The city was empty with everyone off doing the harvest, so nothing stood in her way as she made it out of town. However, where there was original only one door, now there were three.

Confused, she inspected each one. They were identical to each other with exception of their color. Along with the banana yellow one, there was also now a green one, and a purple one.

‘Whoever is setting this up... must have more keys to find...’ She though, curious.

Deciding to ignore them, she moves to stand in front of the yellow door. She shoves the key into the lock, the door starts to glow a bright light. She turns the key and opened it. Suddenly, either through curiosity or mind control, she felt herself walking forward through the passageway without looking what was ahead, the door slamming shut behind her.

[Meanwhile, while go is transversing through The First Door.]

Sylvia watched over the fields as people gathered the fruit, pleased to see everyone working together for the betterment of Ambrosia. It was just as she was getting comfortable that the brown haired boy from before ran up.

“Sylvia! Sylvia!” He yelled in panic.

“What is it?” Sylvia responded then her eyes shot open. “Is the it the orcs again?”

“No!” The boy exclaimed. Then he pulled out a phone and handed it to her. “Watch the video.”

She pulled the phone up to her face, a youtube video played before her.

Quote:Help us Please!

Her eyes were wide open, glaring at what she just watched.

“When was this posted?” She asked.

“Last night.”

There was a moment’s pause between the two before Sylvia broke the silence.

“Notify Guu. She needs to know about this.”

“Actually…” the boy continued a bit nervous. “We can’t find her.”

“What?” She yelled in surprise.

“We’ve searched all over town, we have people scouring her mansion, we can’t seem to find her anywhere.”

Sylvia was blown by this sudden revelation. She stood there bewildered. However, she knew that with Guu gone missing, it was up to her to take care of this mess.

“Have some people keep searching for Guu. Everyone else who isn’t working on the harvest, have them meet with me so we can make plans for a rescue.”

The boy gave a salute and ran off to inform the others. She pulled her phone out to send out some tweets to notify people of what’s going on. However, she happened to notice a tweet that’s getting a lot of buzz.

Quote:Continued from “The First Door

The yellow door opened up and tossed Guu’s tiny butt into the dirt. It slammed behind her and dissipated into beams of light. She just kind of sat there, her brain still processing everything that had just happened to her. Her mind was blank, all accept one phrase: ‘The fuck was that?’

After a moment, her mind drifted out of the daze. She started hearing the sounds of nature again, feeling the sun on her face, and she realized just how glad she was just to be out of the enclosed space. Being in such an airtight place for so long was unhealthy for anyone, especially when you are going through THAT at the same time. She climbed to her feet and looked for the sun. From the looks of it, she must have been in there for three to four hours. Felt like longer. She made her way down into Ambrosia.

Not long after walking into town, she noticed something was up. A bunch of people was gathered in the middle of Town Square. Considering these are people who could have been out in the harvest, they must have been gathered for something important. As soon as someone pointed out the approaching pink princess, Sylvia hurried over to her.

“Where have you been?” She asked, both frustrated and relieved.

“I had a short errand to run that turned out to be a not-so-short one.”

“You know what? It doesn’t matter. Come to the rest of the group, your help is needed.”

Guu was briefed on the lost animals in the woods. She was shown the youtube video from before, and even some of the tweets that have been exchanged between them and the survivors.

“We’ve been brainstorming ideas all afternoon, but the forest is too dangerous for someone as old as us. The spirits only provide safe passage for children and those accompanied by children. That’s why we need your help Guu. I’m just worried you and whomever we send with you will get lost.”

“Sounds like a piece of cake to me.” Guu responded. “I have magical senses that could pick things up from pretty far away. All I’d need to do is walk a random direction and I’ll pick them up eventually.”

“That’d be great but how would you get back?” She said, concerned.

“Oh, I’ll have some means of finding my way back, trust me. Now excuse me, I should tweet the animals I’ll be saving.”

She pulls out her dataverse device and quickly gets on OmniTwitter.

Quote:Tweets!

She closed her device and shoved it down her throat.

“Alright, I’ll go get set up then. I’ll go on my own.”

“What?” the gothic second reacted.

“The more that come along, the more will be in danger. I’ll be safe on my own.”

“Wait Guu!” interrupted Sylvia, concerned. “There’s something you should know. Not only are there wild animals in there, but also it was discovered that there’s a family of cockatrices on the loose. Please don’t get yourself turned into stone.”

Guu paused for a moment and then burst into uproarious laughter (or at least for how much her monotone could muster.) The group looked at her like she was insane.

“Oh, there was only that one Cockatrice. Yeah, I sort of faked the food prints of a flock.” She said. She lifted up her skirt and showed that her feet had transformed into a pair of talons. “Left tracks everywhere. You’re parents totally bought it!”

All the teens looked at her in utter bewilderment. She continued.

“Yeah, it’s kind of a long story. Basically, I kind of had to for a child to be spared. Anyways I’ll be on my way.”

She runs off in the direction of the woods, the group just stunned.

Guu made her way to the edge of the forest. The weather was beautiful, she was glad she was able to go on a nature hike today. She needed it after her recent experience She wrapped her arm around a tree and tied it neatly in a knot. Then she faced the wilderness and prepared to take her first step.

But Sylvia shows up behind her.

“I just wanted to say, be careful out there Guu. We don’t know what we’d do if we lost you.” She said.

Guu peered over her shoulder, looked her directly in the eyes and gsve a small cocky little smile.

“I’m a prime, you can’t get rid me that easily.”

Sylvia chuckled at this. She watched as Guu marched forward into the woods.

As she had expected, it was a perfect day for a hike. Though it was a little disturbing that her arm started getting thinner and thinner as she move forward, she didn’t mind as much as the fresh air was just the thing she needed at this moment, and for once, she didn’t feel old by thinking that.

What made nature walks more amazing was her senses. Every little detail, every little speck of life was there for her to view. She could feel birds in the trees, sitting on their nests. She could feel ever lizard run by, or every squirrel doing gymnastics in the trees. But what made this hike extra interesting was she could even sense them.

You’d think you wouldn’t be able to sense a spirit, but something about the presence they left in the air left behind some left of a trail. And because their entire existence is emotion, Guu could sense their feelings more potently than other creatures. With animals and sentient lifeforms, she’d have to guess based on how their heart was beating or body language and stuff like that. With these spirits, they just give off an aura, something of a flavor that just tastes like a certain emotion. It’s kind of difficult to explain, kind of like how some people can taste smells.

What baffled Guu about these spirits were the emotions they felt: absolute terror. There wasn’t some other presence she was missing either, they were hovering not far from her, keeping their distance but still keeping around her specifically. Slowly, she began to piece together a working theory on what’s going on, and decided to share her discoveries with her new guests.

“I heard you spare children.” She said, loud enough for the spirits to hear. “But do you normally fear children? That doesn’t make sense. Is it their innocence that frighten you?”

The spirits barely react, they just continue to keep pace with her.

“I think you know.” Continued Guu. “I think you know I’m not an ordinary child. You can see what I really am.”

Spirits still don’t react, but she could feel their fear deepen a little, calling their cold shoulder a bluff.

“Well, if that’s the case, and I really think I’m right, you were smart to fear me.”

She just kept on walking, now taking the presence of the spirits with a grain of salt.

Eventually, a large gathering just barely showed up on the edges of her senses. She was glad because her arm was turning linguini thickness. She made her way over there and passed through into a clearing where she was greeted by over fifty eyes, terrified eyes.

“I’m Guu. I’m here about a rescue. Could that be you guys?” She asked.

Slowly, it dawned on the animals on whom this person was, as the name had been passed around the group as soon as the tweet came in. A little pig, smaller than the rest of the group, step through the crowd and stood in front of her excited.

“You’ve come to save us! Everyone! She’s come to save us!” Said the pig.

“I’m guessing you’re Mina.”

“Yep!” Replied the pig.

A rabbit girl, a bit closer in size to the rest of the group, steps forward.

“Well, you’re highness, I’d like to thank you on behalf the group for personally coming out – oh my god whaT’S GOING ON WITH YOUR ARM?!”

Soon, the group of fifty or so follows Guu through the woods, who is slowly reeling her arm in as she follows its trail home. To the group, she looked like she didn’t have a care in the world, but in reality, she is constantly checking her senses. The spirits were still keeping their distance, not even daring coming near the group she’s in charge of. She’s more on the watch for predators that might try to take someone.

The group was quiet as they followed the pink princess, not sure if they’re actually following her to salvation or to their imminent doom. Eventually, the rabbit from before steps forward to walk beside Guu.

“Um, excuse me Princess.” She said, not aware of the reference she just accidently made. “Sorry to bother you, but are you absolutely sure your arm is going to lead us to your city?”

“Mmhmm.” She said, trying not to break her concentration.

“And what about the spirits?” she asked.

“They’ll keep their distance while I’m around, I’m more worried about-”

Guu paused mid-sentence as she slowed to a stop. Everyone halts as well. She lifts her arm and points it in a seemingly random direction. Suddenly, her arm stretches off to a really far off bush in the distance. The pained cry of a canine of some sort releases into the air. She lowers her arm again to a horrified group of animals. She turns to them.

“It was a wolf… well a pack of wolves, but the others ran off after they saw. That.” She said to a crowd of dropped jaws. “Anyways, may we get a move on?”

After what must have been an hour of walking, Guu and the pack of animals make it to the edge of the woods. None of the travelers could believe their eyes as they saw civilization for the first time in days. Guu just calmly unwrapped her arm and lead the group into town.

Sylvia’s reaction to Guu leading the group of lost animals into town was just to laugh and shake her head. Her princess never ceased to amaze her. She walked up to her, raising a noodle arm and stated:

“Told you I couldn’t be rid of that easily.”

Sylvia burst out laughing and gave Guu a big hug, which caught her by surprise, but she eventually reciprocated. The animals, finally shaking their disbeliefs begin to don smiles. The rabbit stepped forward and was the first one to lead the group into a cheer.

“Three cheers for our savior, Princess Guu!”

The crowd of animals cheers in delight as they surround her and lift her off the ground. And with that, she let off another genuine smile. It must be a new record.

“I’ve decided that I should go to Dante’s Abyss.” Stated Guu,

Sylvia and her were sitting at a diner, both had yakisobi noodles in front of them. It was clear it was well before the dinner rush. Mina the pig and the bunny, Bonita was cleaning around. They seemed to have taken over the place as their own. Bonita approached the two.

“Do you need refills on your water?” Stated the bunny.

The gothic second in command shook her head. Guu continued.

“Some of the teens have really been getting the hang of combat. They along with those platemail wearing giant pokute I summoned yesterday will be able to protect us from random orc attacks. I think you guys are ready to survive without me. Meanwhile, me being in DA, it will help you guys so much.”

Sylvia doesn’t even look shocked at this announcement, as if she had been expecting it for a while. However, she wasn’t without questions.

“What caused this change of heart? You were so against it not too long ago.”

Guu paused for a moment before she spoke up.

“When I first came the Omniverse, I felt so vulnerable. I thought even the smallest wind could hurt me. But ever since I fought Gilgamesh… especially in the past week, I just been feeling stronger.”

Sylvia smiled.

“Your ego has finally caught up with reality I see.” She said with a chuckled. Guu shot a warm smile toward her. Sylvia would never admit it, but she always felt honored when the princess would let her see her true smile like that.

However, the tender moment was interrupted by the commotions outside. People were running in the direction of the edge of town. Based on their excited expressions, it wasn’t an attack. Guu and Sylvia looked at each other. They knew what this meant since it could only be on thing. They both jumped out of their seat and ran for the door.

Humans and animal folk alike stood gawking. Even some of the giant pokute had come out to look at the spectacle. It was a giant merchant caravan. Large birds pulled large ornate wagons with strange unfamiliar objects waving back and forth dangling off the sides. It was not difficult to guess their wares came from all over the Omniverse.

Some wagons had rare exotic fruits and vegetables. Some had tools and the like. Some had bizarre domesticated animals. It was quite the sight to see.

From within, cat-like people with bat wings and a single antenna on their head started to file out. Suddenly, both teens and animal folk carry out baskets upon baskets of Dame fruit. Guu and Sylvia make their way to the front of the crowd. One of the strange creatures, appearing older and more established than the rest, approached the two leaders. He bows respectfully, which both girls return.

“You’re highness. As leader of the great Moogle merchant caravan, I’d like your permission to trade with your fine city. Kupo!”

Guu steps forward.

“I grant you permission and humbly welcome you to Ambrosia.”

And with that, the scene breaks into chaos as the Dame fruit gets traded left and right. Useful tools that had been denied of the Ambrosians before, were suddenly granted to them by the dozen. Pounds upon pounds of food were handed off to them, promising a great feat that night. Medical supplies, entertainment, even raw OM were all distributed for the seemingly useless fruit.

That night, every Ambrosian dined better than they had in years. However, both Guu and Sylvia were busy accounting for everything they had gained. As the gothic second in command counted off their OM, a bunch of Moogles approached with a bunch of the large birds from before.

“You’re majesty, we’d like permission to live in your city Kupo! Merchant life isn’t for us Kupo. We just want to breed our Chocobo Kupo!”

Sylvia looked towards Guu who looked over the Moogles.

“You’re more than welcome too, as long as our people can buy from your flock.”

The moogle looked very pleased.

“As a gift, we want you to have this Chocobo, Kupo! It has pinks spots on it Kupo! It’s perfect for you Kupo!”

Guu looked at the bird they had brought out. Curious, she walked over to it, stretching a foot over it so she sits upon its saddle. Its feathers were soft and fluffy.

“Take her for a ride Princess Kupo! She’s your’s Kupo!”

Hesitantly, she takes the reigns and flicks them to signal. The bird suddenly rides off fast off towards the mansion. Everyone laughs as Guu struggles to gain control.

“I’ve decided that I should go to Dante’s Abyss.” Stated Guu,

Guu stood beside her pink spotted Chocobo which she had named Scoots. Sylvia had her own Chocobo, a sky blue one which she had already gotten on. The entire town had come out and was standing just outside the city a few yards away.

“Well everyone,” the pink princess started, a little bit of a frog in her throat, “It’s time for me to go to Dante’s Abyss. Promise me you’ll all be watching me and rooting me on.”

The entire town start cheering, saying how she should knock them all dead and stuff like that, hooting and hollering their Princess, showing her without a doubt that she’s got their support. She stretches onto Scoots.

“Well, good bye Ambrosia. I’ll miss you.”

And with that, the two ride off. The townsfolk yell out their good byes. Even as they are far away, they could hear chanting.

“You go Guu! You go Guu! You can do it! We love you!” The crowd in the distance yelled over and over. She hid it from Sylvia, but Guu shed a single tear at that moment.
