Lubbock felt his body rip though what seemed like the air, his surroundings pure white. He felt as if an invisible force was dragging him through space, grabbing at his arms and legs. Where the hell am I? he wondered. Just five seconds ago, I was hunting Danger Beasts. He remembered the strange, glowing archway that formed from the inhuman creatures' mutilated bodies. What was that, a portal? This is gonna be one hell of a story to tell the others... he felt the invisible grip on his limbs loosen, and he began to fall through the white light. He saw a strange archway rushing up to meet him, seemingly floating in mid-air. Noticing this fact, he began to flail his arms around wildly, attempting to grab the arch, fearing that if he missed he would fall forever. He missed the top of the arch and plummeted, forcing a high pitched scream out of his mouth, only to find his feet land firmly on solid ground. He stood upright, dumbstruck, and waited for his smooth green hair to fall back over his left eye. His lime green trench coat stopped flapping, and his red goggles slid down his head and onto his eyes. What. The hell. Just happened? He slowly and shakily raised a hand to his goggles and slid them back up onto his head. Recovering, he took a good look at the gigantic archway. This looks similar to the one that brought me here. Must be connected somehow... he looked it up and down, noting the mossy and moldy stone bricks, so cracked and broken that they might have shattered at the lightest touch. He then surveyed the ground beneath it. Barely a meter in all directions of dark rock was the ground that the archway was set upon, reminiscent of the earth where the arch first appeared. Jeez, this place is weird... he raised the back of his hand to his forehead. However, he didn't feel the familiar silver disc on the back of his scarlet fingerless glove. Wait, where's Cross Tail? He reached behind him and under his trench coat, grabbing at his belt. No spool of wire was there. Damn! Where'd it go? A sudden voice boomed in his head, interrupting his racing thoughts.
"Are you missing something, Prime?" the voice almost sounded Godly.
"Prime? What's that? And where's Cross Tail?" he asked, irritated with the whole situation.
"You're not the only Prime. Primes are people, humans and creatures, heroes and villains alike, who have been brought from other worlds and dimensions like yourself,"
"All right, fair enough. But what the hell happened to my Cross Tail?" Lubbock continued as he crossed his arms, becoming impatient. A strange, ever-changing mass of all the colors of the rainbow materialized in front of him.
"This is a substance, or currency more like, called Omnillium. This Omnillium in front of you is only a figment of your imagination though. The real thing is all around you. Omnillium can be shaped into any form one wishes, ranging from weapons and abilities to allies and pets," the voice informed him.
"Anything, huh? I guess I could get Cross Tail back with it," he decided.
"Be warned, Omnillium is not completely infinite. You will gain more as time passes, but you still have quite a limited amount, so make sure to use it wisely,"
"Ah, I thought there was a catch," without procrastinating any further, he reached out to the rainbow mass, wishing it to take the form of Cross Tail. He felt a spool of wire attach itself to the back of his belt, the wires extending along his back and across his arms to the newly formed discs on the backs of his gloves. The wires separated into five threads through the discs, and slotted themselves into the guide claws on the tips of his fingers. Feeling the familiar wires upon his body at last, he relaxed his muscles, "Right. I didn't make the wires as long as they should be. I don't wanna waste my Omnillium. Fifty meters should do me for now," he noted, relieved. Feeling like he needed extra weaponry, he also formed two knives on the inside of his trench coat, "Hey, who are you? The creator or keeper of this place or something?"
"No, that would be Omni, who you could call the God of this world. I, on the other hand, am just a voice. I'm not anyone of importance," and as the voice finished its sentence, it began to fade away.
"This is so weird. Let's just hope there are a couple of babes around here!" he called out loud, pumped. Without warning, a rumbling sound filled the white nothingness, knocking Lubbock out of his perverted trance. He looked around and noticed eight small archways rising out of nowhere, each one different from the next. One made of steel, guarded by two men in white armor, one highly worn, one smoking as if on fire, one that looked like it was made from a tree, one made of clean stone, one made of much darker stone and one made of ice. The one that really caught his eye, though, was one shaped like two palm trees, "Hell yes! Beach babes, here I come!" and off he bolted to the Beach-babe Gate. Far behind him, a deep, quiet voice was heard.
"I hope he realizes it's going to take two hours to get there,"
