“I’ll be alright Dr. Sorrel, I know its dangerous but I think I can handle it.”

The tone that Ricter gave off when speaking over the phone seemed fully confident in the skills he had in himself as he walked down the path way leading from Ambrosia towards one of the gates. He had been given some directions to head to a certain location and look for some kind of item, which he found to be interesting but more so he needed this item for a remedy Dr. Sorrel, a close friend of his, needed to make.

Over the phone a feminine voice would speak back to him, sounding unsure and worried but accepting of the fact that maybe it was best he did go on his own and not take someone else with him.

“I know, however I still can't help but worry. Just keep in touch and refer to the picture I sent you if you get confused. I need it to heal the eternal burns from the fire salamanders that stay in the mountains, but feel free to add the herb to your weapon too. Maybe you could even find a means of curing it.”

“Wait, that would just mean you’d have less patients!” The stout complained with a frown while Dr. Sorrel seemed to giggle on the other end of the call, snickering to his reaction and finding it pretty funny.

“Guess you found me out, however it would be a good skill to add too your list of abilities, you did wish to heal all manner of things, yes? Well burns are just something your bound to face.” A true statement, and so far he had been faced with them before, just he choose to heal them fully rather than mitigate the wound and allow for the nurses to finish the job. It took more effort and so he would simply admit defeat at least on that front.

“Fine, hopefully I can be back in maybe a day or two.”

“To hurry along your trip feel free to search for the Gorons, they are a nomadic people of that realm, in their travels I’m sure they ran into the flower a lot, they might be a bit cold at first but if your nice to them I’m sure they will let you come along with them on their travels and lead you strait to what your looking for. The other option is to look for one of King Bowsers underground kingdoms, however from rumors of the king I’d avoid that as much as possible.”

Ricter understood, though he didn’t know whom the Gorons were he would probably find out now. “Alright, thanks, I’ll keep you informed.” After saying their good byes he hung up and would be met with the large gate that seemed almost like a massive portal to some kind of sci-fi related world. Funny enough he knew full well there was something like that around, but this one looked like it lead to somewhere hot, which given descriptions of this place, it didn’t sound fun at all yet he stepped forward and placed his hand on the gate.

Walking strait through he seemed to go past an array of colors and lights, taking him from one point to the other as by the time he came out on the other side he was hit by a blast of heat. He had entered into the Ashen Steppes, a place of such volatile nature that barely anyone lived here, looking out over the landscape it was dark and mountainous.

Rivers of lava flowed in certain locations while a constant smog drifted over where he was in, making it hard to breath at first but he would be fine, the stout more than adapted himself for this mission. Mostly in the form of staying in the hot part of the house for a couple of hours a day, he was great at preparing.

Ahead was a path that lead into an open field, but the field seemed to have spouts of fire everywhere, making him frown as he had no clue where too look, all he was told that he should look in caves and any places with immense amounts of heat. Which just screamed ‘jump in the lava’ or ‘fight a monster inside a cave’.

In fact as he stepped forward onto the hot ground he jumped as the rocks were hot, which normally would leave burns on someone else instantly he just felt a soft sizzle, like trying to step into a hot-spring but not being prepared for how warm it was. To him this place wasn’t as hot, if anything this made him feel like his mild ‘training’ paid off, still unknown that his body was just a lot more durable than it looked, in contrast to his fluffy nature.

“Okay, so the Gorons are around here somewhere, if I find them first they can lead me to the flower, if I find the flower I can high tail it back to the gate.”

He had no intention of staying here, lest he end up in some long standing conflict with someone or something he had no affiliation with prior. Basically he didn’t want a repeat of what happened in the rats town, but he knew in the end it was all for the greater good, so he would stay as long as need be.

Now, taking some steps forward Ricter began to head out on his travels. The weasel was equipped with his sword of course, some swimming trunks he had but never got to really use much, a short sheave shirt, a brown bag to transport the flower once he got his hands on it, and finally a pare of sunglasses just in case he wanted to stare at the lava for a while.

He would begin his hike around the lands in a similar way to how a nomad would view the land, he would search for places to maybe settle, places that weren't as hot and also sections of land that protected against random fire pillars springing up under him. Something very common here by the looks of it.

Passing by cave structures and even large separations in the earth he could guess they wouldn’t wish to go underground, even now he could feel the heated air existing a cave was he was currently near by. Making him wonder who would live down in there but maybe there was plenty that would wish to do so.

Hours would pass as he searched the lands for both the flower and the Gorons, his feet were beginning to hurt, being covered in black soot now making him groan as he flopped onto a rock and began wiping them off with a rag, maybe he should have wore shoes but he had a feeling unless they were made of metal they would melt from just walking around in this realm for too long.

Ricter was starting to get annoyed with the results of this, from rock formations to seeing large critters moving around the hellish land, even large worm like monsters that sprung up from the ground and spooked him once or twice with how sudden they were. He found nothing.

“Ugh this is stupid, no hints, not even a map could help me find these guys. Nor this flower, and I refuse to jump into some lava pit just to go looking for it!”

The mustelid was prone to talking to himself, a trait some people would find unattractive or just plain crazy, but for him it felt as normal as anything else he tends to do on his own. However as he finished and jumped up he heard the clinking of metal and armor near by, it was heading up the side of the mountain near the far side and when looking over a boulder he noticed whom it was, it seemed like a traveling band of adventurers clad in vibrant colored armor and wielding an assortment of weapons and even shields.

Who were they? Should I try interacting with them? Questions a normal person would ask but the stout was way too friendly for that right now, wishing nothing more than to at least get some advice or direction in this realm rather than aimlessly wonder around. Jumping up he climbed over a large boulder and would come towards them, waving.

“Hey!” He called out, causing the party to stop, most seemed humanoid in nature but just as he walked up he noticed one seemed to be a cat.

“Luis?” The weasel murmured under his breath at the small stature cat that stood on two feet, they reminded him of a friend of his but obviously they seemed more or less unaware of who he was so he shook it off. The leader, a man clad in scaled armor, resembling a breast of some kind they probably had slain would address him with a wave.

“Hello traveler, what brings you around here? You don't seem like your hunting for monsters, at least not in that garb.” The human pointed out, not wearing a helmet but his armor was cool enough not to bother with wearing one right now. It would probably only make covering his dashing good looks given it probably wasn’t needed right now.

“Yeah no, I’m actually looking for a flower of some kind, its a herb, its made to basically heal burns.” He took out his phone, showing the trio a picture of the flower he was looking for and hoping for some kind of direction as they moved in close and looked over it before shaking their heads.

“Sorry, beats me, actually have you seen any dragons on large behemoths around? We’ve had very little luck in finding them as of late. The gorgon’s said they were up around this mountain but we’ve yet to find even one today.” The leader asked which brought a frown to Ricters face, but it twisted into a smile at hearing about the Gorons.

“Nope, but I’m sure you will find one, um you mentioned Gorons just now, right? Mind pointing me towards their settlement?”

The man nodded and soon would point down the side of a ridge, off to the east, not too far away but far enough to take about an hour by foot if he walked there. “Near that ridge, they are staying in a camp, they didn’t quite enjoy us coming around but maybe you will have better lu-”

Just as he was finishing his statement a loud roar would rock the landscape, causing even Ricter to draw his sword, looking around. From the left a large dark scaled dragon would fly over head, wings flapping as they were headed past the group over head and up the mountain further, towards a cave that was hard to notice from a distance but soon the group of adventurers would smile and get prepared, holding their weapons.

“Sorry but we have to go now, good luck in finding your herb!”

“Good luck in fighting your dragon!” Ricter gave his response as he sheathed his sword, the trio lightly jogged up the side of the mountain, heading for their prize, in the mean time the stout headed for the ridge where he was to believe the Gorons stayed at for the time being. Probably bound to move eventually, however if he could find his herb in that time he would be happy to get this mission done sooner rather than later.

The walk towards the ridge took as long as he would guess, while soft roars from the possible fight the three monster hunters were having could be heard even from across the open field of fire. Eventually vanishing as Ricter finally made it close to where he needed to be, he noticed the site of many oddly shaped people. However strong looking too.

They seemed like a shell-less cross of a turtle and some type of ‘golem’ creature, he wasn’t put off by their appearance, instead he quite enjoyed seeing new forms of creatures and how they looked over all. Plus even the children seemed fairly nice but before he could barley go that deep into the camp he was approached by two Gorons, one with an eye patch on the left side of his face, large and imposing, while also having arms as big as the weasels head, they seemed very powerful which was probably for good reason.

“Halt, state your business traveler.” One stated.

“Hello, I was looking for assistance in finding a certain plant, I was told that meeting with your people would aid me in finding it.” Pulling out his phone he showed the two the flower, however they scratched their heads.

“Yes, we pass by those every so often when we travel, however we disallow people who are not apart of our group to come along with us, its the rules.”

Hearing this Ricters heart sank, maybe he could ask where to maybe find it but with out any land marks that felt almost impossible, he would rather just travel with them to maybe get what he was looking for, guaranteed. “Is there any way I can possibly accompany you? Please, I need this herb really badly.” He pleaded which the two looked to on another and pointed.

“Come with me, we need to talk to Darunia.”

“Um, who’s Darunia?”

“He’s our leader, he’s helped with keeping all of us alive after what happened on death mountain. If not for him he might have possibly been wiped out by the attack Volvagia had made on our once beautiful village.”

Part of him wondered what that was exactly, but he chalked it up as being a massive tragedy of the past, he wished he had done some more research into this place but Ambrosia’s library was fairly limited outside of anything that wasn’t apart of the Tangled Greens. Silently, he gave an understanding nod as they walked towards what seemed like a large tent, beads blocked the door way and made it hard to see in. Once one walked inside the other would gesture to follow him and would do so quickly.

Inside he would find what seemed like a very large man, green in color but having the body type of a ‘dad’, a beer gut with a large upper frame, while not so much a good lower body. He was currently working, moving things around as he lifted up an entire hard stone table with one hand and placed it into a new spot, seemingly wishing to make the place look nice.

“What is it?” The Goron leader said, in a gruff tone, enough to catch the attention of anyone who was near by.

“We have another traveler who wanted information.”

“Again?! How many is that today? Four? I’m tired of everyone looking for free information.” The man hadn’t even turned around to show his face, which Ricter frowned a bit, he was a little rude, but he would try to make his case to the leader.

“I’m not looking for information for free, I need the petals from a fire flower to heal a burn that can’t be healed normally.”

The weasel explained however he didn’t even bother turning to face him, instead they were more or less happy to just ignore him. Not answering back for well around a minute before saying, “I’m still not hearing anything about what you can do for us, we don't take in free loaders.”

Which only sparked another frown from him, looking to the Goron next to him he would quickly draw his sword, causing Darunia to glance in his direction. Moving swiftly as the Goron next to him was shocked that Ricter was attacking him he gave him a light cut across his cheek however the cut would leave only a glowing harmless mark on his face. Giving no pain.

However before he could explain anything Darunia was already directly in front of him, cocking a fist back and smashing it into the weasels face. Rocking his body as the force was enough to break the ground a bit under the mustelid, making them stumble and even causing them to budge a few feet.

“You think it was smart attacking my people in front of me?! You must have a death wish boy!” He said while cracking his knuckles, the man was strong, just as he thought. Enough to even cause him some pain as he rubbed his face, having a bloody nose, wiping it away as he took a knee but stood up, sheathing his sword while saying nothing.

Before the Goron would prepare to fight the weasel the one he had cut would interject. “My eye!” Which pulled Darunia’s attention, the Goron pulling off the eye patch and instead of seeing the missing section of what could have been his eye it was fully restored. Which shocked the man to some degree as Ricter was still rubbing his face in pain.

“Its been healed, it was completely missing but its back now!” The Goron smiled, clearly elated to have his complete vision back, though Darunia seemed to keep his expression.

“Weasel, is this your doing?”

“Yeah, I have the power to heal and restore limbs . Doesn't matter what body part it is, if its missing I can fix it.”

The Goron inwardly grinned to this change of events, nodding, “I think I have the perfect job for you, you say your looking for fire flowers correct? Well in the next few days we will be leaving for a location that has exactly what your looking for. If you heal my people you may come along with us, and given how you survived a punch from me with just a bloody nose I think you’ll work well to ensure their safety as well.”

It seemed like a fine deal, though Ricter had some qualms with how it was given, as if he was going to be some doctor/body guard for his people. Plus he mentioned ‘days’ of staying in the camp rather than his plan of maybe half a day of being here, which made him contemplate what he should do. But it was his best bet, better than running around everywhere and finding nothing at all.

“Fine, sounds like a deal. Would it be too much to at least ask for an apology for you hitting me in the face?”

This was promptly ignored as the man would turn around and went back to what ever he was doing, “Good, get to work, there are plenty of injured Gorons who could use your power. I’ll talk with the other elders in the mean time to allow you passage with us, only if you do a good job.”

Just as he guessed he wouldn’t receive one, but this didn’t change his outlook much, Ricter still knew that if he could help someone it was better to do so expecting nothing in return that to do nothing expecting everything. So he would silently leave the tent, leaving the leader to go back to his home décor, the two following after him as well.

Once they left, the now healed Goron who discarded his eye patch would point to a tent not too far away, past a few others and merchant tables as well. “That tent has our local alchemist, not very good at healing but he's now our tribes physician, I’m sure if you wish to start right away this would be the best place to begin.”

Nodding the weasel understood and would begin walking over, only being stopped by the one he healed, who seemed to smile, “Thank you again for healing my eye! I’ll be sure to send many others to you with injuries like mine.”

“No problem, sorry for startling you back there.” For him it was all fine, though he would rather not take another hit like that from Darunia, on top of just a little bit of bleeding he had a small migraine too. His strike was very hard, in fact if he had a less than super natural body he could have taken off his head in one full swing, maybe this was his lucky day?

Passing by some residents he would soon make his way towards the tent he was told to come into, raising a flap he noticed that inside it was very large. Not the biggest but enough to house maybe ten or so Gorons with out worry. Inside he could also see beds in rows along every side of the tent, while in the middle and back sections held supplies in metal crates and barrels.

The place seemed to be almost filled, many of the people laying in beds were passed out, some missing limbs while most were sick and flustered. Walking towards the middle section he would be met with a gorgon who was about at eye level and seemed to be wearing a beaded necklace.

“Hm? Who are you? Listen, we don't treat random travelers, if you want medicine your going to have to pay a fee.”

Which made Ricter wave off the notion, smiling as he explained, “No no, I don't need medicine, I was told to come here by Darunia, he wanted me to aid in your healing of those injured.”

“Really? Did you tell him I don't need any help, because its true, I don't!” He scoffed, which only made Ricters eyes lull into a state of ‘why is everyone being this way?’ So the stout asked the Goron a question, a fairly easy one that could be responded too in a matter of seconds.

“So can you heal someones limbs?”

He wouldn’t even answer the question as a man who was currently sitting down on a bed would call out, “Hell no!” Almost drawing a laugh from the weasel but an aggravated Goron in front of him.

Making him growl, “Shut up! I’m an accomplished alchemists, however healing was dubbed my job thanks to all the accidents we’ve been having lately. Namely the one that ended up getting our main healer killed. I’m not used too making anything but explosives, however they force me here, as if my work isn’t appreciated at all!”

He seemed heated, but Ricter would try to clam him down, asking, “Well how about I help? I’m a doctor, I can get everyone patched up here, in exchange you can work on your explosive research as much as you like and maybe show me a bit of what you have too. Sound fair?” The weasel asked which the Goron would smirk to this.

“No more medical duty? Sounds great! You can call me Deltimo, its a pleasure.” He raised his hand, which Ricter took, shaking it.

“I’m Ricter, nice too meet you.”

After their hand shake would be finished Ricter would walk over to the man who spoke up, he had his arm crushed and bones broken in 6 locations, in addition he could tell they had to do an emergency cauterization on the open wounds that dotted his body. All of their medical treatments seemed primitive in nature, only a few things they did would keep up with the standards in a modern day hospital.

“So you think you can help me doc?” The Goron said as Ricter inspected him, Deltimo chiming in soon after.

“Yes, please do, I’d rather not hear him complain so much about being all banged up. He’s been here for weeks and all he dose is bitch and moan about how he can never use his arm again.”

Sparking the Goron to growl, waving his free hand in anger, “I have every right to complain with how shitty of a doctor you are!”

“I told you I’m not a doctor! I’m an alchemist, two very different things!”

With his evaluation done Ricter would try to calm the two down, “Alright alright, clam down please, sir. I’m going to have to cut you with my sword. I know it sounds unorthodox but that's how my power works, once I do however I can assure you’ll have full use of your body as if nothing happened too it.” The weasel promised.

This did make the man question if this person was on the up and up but they had managed to prove Darunia that he could do something, so he would take the risk. “Alright, I’ll trust you traveler.”

Nodding back he would soon pull out his weapon, aiming it directly at the Goron as the others in beds would watch as well, wondering if this was true. Soon he would plunge the blade strait into his stomach, making him gasp sharply but instead of pain and blood it passed into him harmlessly. Very little time would pass and soon his body began to regenerate and reform, spots where he was burned vanished, while areas that caused him mild pain seemed to fade from those sensations and into a pleasant serine feeling.

Eventually after around a dozen seconds or so he would come to move his hand and arm freely, his once damaged body was completely restored and he would jump to his feet once he pulled the sword out of him. “A-amazing! I feel like I didn’t get a boulder slammed on me at all! Thanks doc!” The man would say, grabbing the stouts paw and shaking it wildly, making him bounce in place.

“No problem! Be careful, please.”

“You bet!”

He seemed quite happy, while Deltimo was staring with his mouth gaping open, stunned by this, but also impressed. “I thought you were joking at first, but your the real deal. Guess this means I can leave everything to you. I’ll start on my own work right away, I’ll be sure to cook up something special for your help, finally I have time to do something that involves glowing stuff up! Hah!” The happy Goron said, clearly excited to go back to learning explosives and the like rather than deal with looking into the more medical side of alchemy.

Once that patient had left the others were clamoring to his side, at least the ones who could walk, all wishing to be healed next as Ricter sighed, this would be a long few days but he could live through it. Especially if it meant he didn’t need to use as much energy just to heal burns now, he needed that fire flower, and even Deltimo was looking for one too so the two seemed to be the perfect pair to looking for exactly this.

“So why are you coming along with us? Got something in mind? Or are you just wishing to join the tribe?”

Deltimo asked as Ricter was currently feeding a Goron some medicine, they seemed to have a modest supply of herbs and what pills, perfect for curing colds and other illnesses. Not as well equipped nor staffed as the clinic but it was much better than having nothing.

When his question was given the mustelid took a moment to answer as he was currently busy, but answered eventually. “I was looking for some fire flowers, by what I’ve been told it gives people the use of fire based powers and abilities. I’d like to however use it to heal a certain kind of burn from a salamander. A burn that can’t be cured by normal means, so in this case I’d like to ensure that I collect the flower for my clinic so that if we can make a salve or I can incorporate it into my sword I can make use of its properties.”

Deltimo would smirk at this, pouring a clear liquid into a vial while he was messing around with beakers and a burner, probably working on an explosive of some grade. He had to question the validity of mixing explosive concoctions in the vicinity of injured people, but he didn’t bother to ask about it. Instead just watching him carefully to make sure he didn’t fuck up while the weasel worked on healing others as well.

“Oh, so dose that mean your going to have some kid of flaming sword type of thing going on? That would be sick!”

Clearly the Goron was very creative, but he doubted he would want to do something as offensive related as that. The weasel was quite defensive, in fact he hated fighting and only did it if it was to protect someone or if he found very little avenues to approach a problem. Though hate was a strong word, dislike seemed better, as even he could enjoy a fight if whom he was battling against was a friend or someone fun to go against.

“I’ll try to keep that in mind haha, but for now I think finding a cure for that burn I mentioned is the more important half of my goal currently. After this I wont have too much for cures that are readily available.”

He wanted to be his own walking clinic, capable of healing others with out needing medicine 24/7, but he knew just how important medicine was and would think about incorporating it into his own skills. Maybe not in carrying around a bunch of medicine but more so crafting it himself, which is why he was so focused on alchemy as well. Just not the volatile kind.

Once the Goron was tended too he would move on to the next one, this one seemed to be missing a leg, it was amputated at the knee. This was a bad location to do this, who ever made the cut must have made the process very painful for the man as he was currently passed out, and looked as if he lost some blood too.

Pulling out his sword this time he would need to make a simple cut to try and reform the limb, nicking his leg gently the body part reformed after only a few seconds, becoming just as good as it was before but he still needed to repair his body. Which would take some time and energy to pull off. But he had plenty of that to spare, in the mean time Deltimo seemed happy to bring up small talk.

“So you ever fight something really big before? Your a Prime by what I can tell, but by the looks of it you don't seem like the type to go around murdering folks for no reason.” His question wasn’t too surprising for Ricter, actually it fit him given he seemed like the type to want to hear stories about heroics and danger.

“Nothing honestly that big I’d say, I fought in Dante’s Abyss though, got to do battle with a few great combatants but didn’t do that amazing. Over all it was a learning experience, but aside from that I’ve only fought people around my size, nothing massive, how about you? You seem to like explosives a great deal, ever use it on something to maybe get it out of the way?”

Asking his own question back the Goron laughed, Deltimo would soon pick up what seemed like a table spoon of gun powder and scoop it into the liquid, mixing it slowly. The fluids would begin to bumble and sizzle but it didn’t react aggressively to the mixture, the Goron was careful and probably well versed in making explosives.

“Nah, mostly boulders, Darunia doesn't trust me enough to actually use my explosives for our guards, but he doesn't know how great they would be! They wouldn’t have to get torn limb from limb any more, they could just toss a few bombs and-boom! Its done!”

Ricter laughed as he was currently keeping his blade inside of the sleeping Goron, ensuring that when he woke up he would feel as good as new, after all he had plenty of energy and time to go about healing everyone around him. “I think he is just looking out for the well being of the tribe, after all mistakes happen, and with so much fire and heat everywhere a misfire or accidental explosion would be devastating.”

“Blah, you sound like Darunia, always giving me excuses about what would happen if my bombs got lit or something. I keep them in metal crates, worse that could happen is if one rolled into lava or something.”

“Uh, you know this place is full of lava, right?” Ricter gave his rebuttal, which only made the Goron fluster in mild frustration.

“Shut up! Your supposed to be supporting me, not poking holes in my logic!”

Only drawing Ricter to laugh some more as he finished, pulling his weapon up and looking around the room, he had a few more left but didn’t wish to go about fixing them u[p right away. He needed time to rest and after a long day of walking he could use a couple hours of sleep before going to the next client in need of a patch up.

“I’m going to take a break, its been a long day and nights settling in, mind if I ask where I can probably sleep for the night?”

“Yeah, there's a bed in the back of the tent, use that, or feel free to just sleep in one of the coots, pretty sure no on else is going to come in thinking they need medical attention when you’ve cleared out half the building already.” He had a point, Ricter was very efficient and more than capable of operating a hospital by himself, sure he would be drained afterwards but it was still possible. He only wished he could improve on those skills he had right now to make healing others easier too.

Which was why he was here, learning how to fix burns was just one of many things he had in mind for the future, and plenty more to come after that. For right now though his idea’s would be placed on hold as he moved to the back of the tent and saw the bed, it was made of straw and looked as flat as a rock. All he could think about was how much back pain he would be in on sleeping in that.

So he’d be creative, beginning to think about what he could lay on his mind mixed with a bit of omnilium would make what seemed like a nice queen sized bed. With a pillow, no covers were needed as it was already hot enough here with out it, and finally some slippers for his feet so he didn’t have to smug up his new bed with soot.

“Hey Ricter.” Deltimo called out, drawing his attention, “You can make almost anything right? Well why don't you just make the flower in your brain and have it just ‘pop’ into existence? I heard you primes were really good at that, and judging from the bed you made it looks to be true.”

Flopping down into his bed he would sigh and look up at the roof of the tent, “I tried, however it doesn't work the same way, certain items can’t have their effects replicated, especially naturally occurring things. How it works, at least for me since I’m new to the whole thing, is that I have to know what it dose, then have the skill to replicate it with my own powers. If I don’t have the skills or magic available then its impossible for me to create fully. “

It was complicated, but he had begun to get used to creating things form thin air, allowing him some moderate amount of control over crafting matter. He still hated this, this power he held in this realm, but he didn’t mind it for mundane things and the like. Just he would never use it to become some king over the people he’s made and formed into this existence just from his mind.

“Sounds complicated, but still pretty cool, did you have a time you wanted to wake up on?”

Shaking his head he just asked, “Wake me up when the room starts to get cluttered, other wise I’’ll probably wake up on my own.” The stout closed his eyes, Deltimo leaving him to sleep while he worked on his potions and explosives. He hoped the Goron didn't’ blow the place up in his sleep but he had some confidence in him, plus he seemed like a nice person over all.

Time would shift as his body began to relax, his mind turning dark before finally he passed out on the bed, enjoying the sweet sensation of being asleep now. He didn't’ have any dreams, if anything he was just happy to be relaxing, and recovering his energy from working on healing all those around him.

This wouldn’t be the last time he would be sleeping in this verse, days would pass and eventually it was getting to the point that barely anyone came in to the tin to feel better or ge healed. Most just coming by for a minor check up or two, if someone had the sniffles he’d see them, minor colds? Of course he would give them something to get over it, and of course any accidents that left someone crippled he gave them his full attention.

After around three or so days he was in the middle of a conversation with Dr. Sorrel, talking on his phone as he contacted him, wanting a status update.

“Yes I’ve found the Gorons, however I’ve been staying to assist with medical treatments. The leader promised me that they would offer me the fire flower once they trust me enough.” Ricter spoke, pacing back and fourth while talking on the phone.

“Hm, okay, just dont let them, keep you there for much longer, last thing we need is to lose you to a tribe that doesn't know equivalent exchange.” The feminine voice stated on the other side, slightly annoyed he had been gone for so many days only to help people that weren't even from her town but she realized this was a good thing and the weasels help would be amazing for personal relationships. Never know when you may need more supplies from your friends after all.

“No worries, I believe were going on the move today, after we get rolling I’ll head back to the gate once I have the flowers.”

Ricter reassured her, which after a few moments of silence she sighed and spoke back, “Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow then.”

“Mhm, see you tomorrow, bye.” Ending the call Ricter walked back into the tent soon after, going towards the beds again as he had barley a few people left to really help. Ricters work would be greatly appreciated, in a matter of just three days majority of the tribe had been healed of many kinds of injuries and sicknesses. The stout worked hard every day to ensure that whom ever came into the tent would be treated with in the time he normally took care of people back in the clinic at Ambrosia.

He would get a lot of praise for this as well, however he knew the limits of what he could do and reminded everyone that he couldn’t undo death so they should be careful. Luckily they did stay careful as they moved large rocks and boulders and began to pack up tents and other things. Seems like they might be moving soon by the look of it.

As for Deltimo he seemed to be working hard on developing something, but he had no clue what it was. The medical tent was empty and he would see no one coming in today for anything. Much less a check up but that was over all too simple to do, right now he wanted to talk to Deltimo to see what he had been up too this entire time. Its been two full days, maybe he had made a break through with his own brand of alchemy.

Walking over towards him after his call was done, he seemed to have been sleeping in the patients beds, not having a room of his own seemed to allow him free reign to sleep where he liked. “Hey Del, hows the potion crafting going? Make anything cool yet?” The weasel asked as the Goron would groan, sighing as he scratched his head.

“Somewhat, I’m missing a few ingredients to really make some head way on my project but I know full well that leaving to go search for things here will get me killed or eaten. I was trying to make a potion to allow people to not get harmed by heat and fire. We get a lot of burn victims here too, as you can see, so if I can prevent it form happening in the first place I think I’ll make a small fortune off my invention, or I can keep selling bombs, they love those too.”

He wondered if something like that was even possible, making him wonder if he could try helping out with this project since that would be pretty close to what he had planned. Being capable of going through blazing infernos? He’d be able to find his flower a lot quicker then, with out having to go completely underground and into the koopa kingdom, a place he was warned about to not visit given how it was hard to tell how they might treat him.

For now though he could tell he was beginning to pack up a few things as well, by tonight the entire tribe was supposed to be ready to move out towards a new location, and it seemed like he was coming along for the ride. “You think we’ll find what your looking for along the way?” Ricter asked the alchemist, the Goron smirked and added.

“I could say the same for you, hell for all I know we could very well be heading in the opposite direction of fire flowers this time around. But our leader is a man of his word, I’m sure you will get what your looking for given what you’ve done for us.”

As true as the statement was Ricter was skeptical, Darunia seemed cross with him, still un-trusting even if he had managed to heal a sizable majority of his tribe, and even more so ensure they were back on their feet and able to work again. If anything he expected at least a thank you but even that seemed out of his vocabulary so he would leave it just up to time and faith that the Goron would keep his word and not just take all his kindness for granted.

Not like he would retaliate or anything, if he lead him no where and instead just turned tail on his deal he would just leave, telling everyone good bye as obviously the Gorons were good people, how they would take a lie form their leader after what he’s done was probably not going to be as good as one could guess. “Yeah, sounds about right, any case I’m going to take a look around before we start moving. I’ve been cooped up in here for so long I just feel like exploring a bit before the whole tribe gets up and moving.”

Deltimo nodded, understanding the feeling as he was currently placing gun powder into a box and locking it, “Just don't go too far, we move fairly quickly as you can guess, you might not find us again if you manage to wonder too far away from our little settlement.” He warned.

The weasel kept that in mind, but he had no intention of leaving the settlement, he actually wanted to speak to Darunia for something. “Alright.” Walking outside the stout looked around, examining the many Gorons who worked to make their caravan, the middle of the settlement that housed Darunia’s tent was now the focal point of hitching together the tribes belongings.

It was busy, and as he noticed the many residents rolling around or just carrying bundles of items, they seemed nearly done. Only a few tents were still up, and most looked like they were for important things, like the clinic or the merchant stand. In front of the caravan large creatures that looked like massive turtles but with ragged scales seemed to be what would be pulling the things along. They were about the size of elephants, and even more so seemed docile enough to interact with, but Ricter stayed clear of them for now, his eyes fishing for someone in particular as he walked around.

Everywhere he went along the settlement many of the Gorons would smile and wave to him, even the younger ones would wish to give him a hug, which Ricter didn’t mind doing, remembering certain faces or ones with certain tattoo’s or arrangements of items like bangles and beads to allow him to know whom he was talking too by name.

Everyone seemed to accept him, in some small way, but he still felt like some, like the elders had it out for him as he walked towards the main tent. The tent was kept up to discuss important things before they all moved, and was probably the best place to look for anyone important, especially since it was the last tent to be taken down before everyone left.

Walking up too the entrance he stepped inside, announcing himself “Hello? May I come in?” The weasel asked, glancing from left to right and expecting to find someone at least but he found that he walked into a small meeting. Which wasn’t unheard of, this place was up just for this type of thing, but he found who he was looking for. Just they seemed a tad annoyed that they had walked in on something quite important for their people.

“Ricter, you should learn to announce yourself outside before walking in.” Darunia stated arms crossed as he sat at a large table, four others were positioned around the table as well. They all seemed older, having beards that were silver and hair that looked spiky but all around silver too, each one seemed too look over in the weasels direction once he stepped in fully. But they didn’t seem all that annoyed by his presence, in fact one would speak up.

“Actually this is perfect, come in child, we would like to have a word with you.”

Following his direction Ricter walked in, wondering what was going on, or if they were discussing something that was in relation to himself. Once he stepped forward he would wait silently as one of the four elders in the group would speak up. Addressing him by name.

“Ricter, we’ve noticed your skill in doctoral practices have been a great asset to our group, however we don't know much about you over all. As you may guess it is difficult to trust someone who is unknown and wanders into our tribe asking for something, so far we’ve given you the benefit of doubt but we must ask your correlation to the rest of the universes.”

It was a convoluted way of saying ‘who are you’ but understandable, allowing him to answer the question once given. “I’m from the Tangled Green, I work for a clinic in the town of Ambrosia. I had come into the omniverse not too long ago, however I got used to the power that I was given pretty quickly, and from it I managed to form my sword, or at least use its more prominent forms to better aid people.”

Thinking, Ricter had to go over his history, what he’s done, what he’s accomplished, basically everything that has happened to him but nothing of worth. At least in his eyes, “As for anything I’ve done, no, nothing of worth. If your worried if I’m apart of a hostile faction you don't have to worry, unless Ambrosia is some kind of evil ‘faction’’, I doubt it.”

Once his plea was done the elders would take a moment to mull it over, Darunia folding his arms in front of his chest and staring at him, eyes narrowing as the elders began to mumble and talk with one another. After a few moments one of the elders would talk to Darunia in a language that Ricter knew little of, after their talk was done the man soon spoke to the weasel directly.

“Alright, we’ve discussed your standing here, the elders have given your passage to travel with us to our next settlement. In that time your job will be to ensure the safety of our people along the way. We understand your need to find a certain flower and will help with that, but to better establish a trust we ask that you accompany us.”

Understanding this Ricter promptly would nod, he could see why they were skeptical of some random person, no matter how they might be helpful ot their people. But they did this in a manner that both was respectful and made him feel like he had to earn trust rather than just being given it automatically.

“Okay, that seems fair, I’ll do my best to ensure no one gets hurt. If they do I can handle it.”

His tone was confident, a lot less like he was when he was fighting in the tournament not too long ago, less scared, no more wallowing in self doubt. This was what Darunia was looking for, that if he would be apart of this tribe, even temperamentally, that they would be able to aid them like any other guard or brother of the tribe. Nodding, Darunia smirked and spoke up, “Very well, we will be packing up before the end of the day and start traveling at night. Best be ready before that time.”

Silently he nodded to Darunia, thinking it was at this cue he should leave and so he did, backing away and giving a small bow before walking out of the tent now. Darunia, would look back to the elders, one soon speaking up as the weasel left, “He is telling the truth, I’m surprised you called us in here for something like this Darunia, even you could tell this.”

For which the large man would groan, not in annoyance, but more so in believing what was possibly true. “I needed to be sure, we can’t trust everyone that comes by, even if my instincts tell me other wise.” Drawing some nods from the group as they soon began to get up, still very slow and not as fast as someone that could be as spry and in their prime as Ricter, no pun intended, but they all made their way out soon after the weasel did.

The day would pass on naturally, from morning into the afternoon, the caravan was soon set up, consisting of mostly large animals who carried most of the equipment and those who couldn’t walk or roll around quickly were on one animal that carried them along as well. The animals were well adapted to the heat and fire of the verse, making them perfect for hauling and transportation.

Just as Ricter stepped out along the side he would keep his eyes sharp, he didn’t know what to expect along these trips but with Deltimo coming over he would wave. “Hey Deltimo, I was placed on guarding the tribe while you guys move, got any advice for this sorda thing?”

“Guarding the caravan huh? Well besides maybe the occasional dragon, I think you’ll do fine, with all the other tribes guards no longer injured we should be well protected. Anyways! On to more important things, I finished one of my projects.”

The Goron would pull out a sort of vial from hammer space, smiling brightly as he showed him what seemed like a red liquid, resembling fruit punch but he could guess it wouldn’t taste like fruit punch. “A mix of gun powder, magma essence, a bit of powdered dragon bones and what you have here is a potion to fully nullify the effects of fire! Or even lava for that mater.”

His claims seemed far-fetched for sure, fully nullify the ‘effects’ of lava? Did he mean the burning and melting parts of it? Or was he just not familiar with this lands way of how physics worked.

“Uh, you mean this will stop someone from being melted alive by lava?”

“Exactly! I’ve yet to try it out myself, or test it, but I’m for sure confident that it will work on a willing test subject. Which is why I’d be happy if you tried it out yourself.” They asked, which Ricter frowned, gun powder? Magma essence? It sounded like he would be the one melting and not the other way around, also it didn’t sound fun to drink, if anything he wanted nothing to do with being a lab rat for any kind of experimentation done by anyone he didn’t know very well.

But he would take it, maybe his body would be able to handle the effects of what ever it was, in a way he would be fine no matter the outcome, but he had more important things to worry about. “Thanks, I’ll try it out later, once we get to the next settlement.” Ricter offered the eager eyed Goron who waited to see if he would drink the vial but given his promise he smiled and nodded.

“Alright, well good luck, lets hope we don't get attacked this time around.”

Hopeful words to live by, but he felt he could handle it, as for a dragon? Sounded as if this was normal, but if they could fight a dragon themselves, kind of like that trio that battled one some days ago, they should be fine. Still, he wished those guys luck, maybe he would see them again, and hear about their success over the winged beast.

His thoughts were broken down once he heard a horn being blown from the front, seemed the caravan was beginning to head out, which he would start to walk along the side now. Step for step the stout kept pace along side those who had accepted him for the most part. Along the hot jagged rocks bellow, heat radiating off it but not being painful any more.

The stout had gotten used to it after a couple of days of being here, thinking back to Dr. Sorrel he hoped she could manage to help the man that was probably dealing with his burns back at the clinic. He knew what was needed to make the salve to cure him of a burn that was unable to be fixed naturally, part of which might actually be in the vial of liquid he was just given.

Thumbing over the vial he would glance down and inspect it some more, it didn’t feel hot in his hands, if anything it just felt kinda odd that he was contemplating drinking such a thing given its contents. His thoughts had him lagging behind so he placed it away for now, walking along as they traveled in the dead of night. They encountered no resistance, in fact it was very pleasant. Many adults sung songs with drums, while he smiled and went along with it, whistling a tone to their beats.

They traveled over ten miles, but it felt shorter, they past ridges, mountain ranges, and even going through a valley that lead towards a set of mountains and caves. This was the location they were heading for, and as he glanced around he noticed that no creatures would jump out or head for them. Were the caves abandoned?

They were making their way inside of a mountain cave now, one that the valley lead into and was a common place to stay when interchanging certain locations that they needed to go towards. Once they stepped inside of the dark cave, torches were pulled out, making it easier to see over all while Ricter noticed something up ahead. Near a stream of magma inside of the cavern a number of cute looking flowers were along the ‘shore line’ of the river.

They had little ‘eyes’ and looked almost like a toy but it was exactly what he was looking for as he ran over, smiling gleefully before jumping down towards the river but being careful enough as too not jump into the lava himself. Reaching out and picking up the flower he would grab a couple more.

“Yes! Exactly what I needed, with so many here we could even try planting it back home!” The weasel remarked to himself as the group would stop, the cave seemed to be where they were heading towards. Now here the many workers and what not began to collect their things and set up top begin building once more, however Ricter had what he needed and hoped that the tribe had gotten everything needed.

Although he would have been more than happy to maybe stay for a while longer he knew he couldn’t do so when it came to going back to finish his mission and aid the clinic. While everyone was setting up now Ricter felt like his mission was done, he had managed to find the flower and the group he escorted to their new settlement spot seemed to be unpacking and pitching tents as well as locations for everyone to rest and sleep.

The market tents were up already and he had an interest in visiting but it seemed like someone else was walking into the cave, it was the group of monster hunters from before, however they had a cart full of things behind them. Namely some dragon scales, bones, and even some petrified organs from the beast they had slain.

“Oh hello again, looks like your hunt was successful.” The stoat mentioned as the leader had a bright grin on his face, nodding.

“Indeed! It was a fine battle, however he have a few spoils we need to sell, unfortunately we can't carry them all with us back home so were selling them here. The Gorons give a good price on drake related items.”

Of which he’d simply nod, allowing them to pass as he waved in a friendly manner to the rest of the group with a smile. Letting them sell their wares before eventually thy would head out the exit again, in the mean time Ricter began packing up as well, he didn’t have a lot on him but only a simple bag to carry anything he couldn’t normally.

Hours would pass and Daruina with half the tribe were near the exit of the cave. The weasel was with them as well, clutching the side bag full of flowers now while looking to the many friends he had made in his short time here. This looked like a send off which Ricter was happy to try and say good bye to everyone, however Darunia had something to say.

“Thank you for the assistance with everything, I understand I was a little harsh but I can’t go trusting everyone I see. So as a gift we’d like to offer you something.”

Ricter wondered what it was at first, but he wasn’t the type to take free gifts on the fly as he tried to deny it. “Oh its fine, you don't have to.” He expected it to be a trinket of some kind, instead a few Gorons would soon pull out a massive drakes skull, making him freak out as he placed it next to him with a loud thud.

“A group of monster hunters came by and gave this too us, we didn’t need the skull so feel free to take it.” Darunia said as Ricter protested.

“How am I supposed to carry this thing!? Also this feels like your just dumping it on me because you don't want it.”

“Exactly, besides its a gift, don't be so rude.” He smirked as the weasels fur frizzled up. But he calmed down as after spawning in a cart he would get some help to lift it up on the object and soon wave to his friends. “I’ll see you all again one day. Please stay safe friends.”

Getting a small choirs of good byes and waves from everyone Ricter left the group to their own devices, leaving towards the gate once more as he had what hew as looking for, and a few gifts from some very nice friends.
