A realm hopper no more
#1
The black and purple fox silently watched the being known as Omni tell her plainly that she was interesting, sequentially a list of many courses of actions queued up in the celestial kitsunes mind.

Thoughts ranged from, "Not sure how interesting it is to be dropped into white nothingness" to "which enemy decided to lock me away in an endless white room" and tiring herself with "Why can't I feel the other realms, where did my cosmic connection go, how is this possible."

For being the first of her kind, she has never seen any illusion or lies she couldn't not simple see-through or figure out eventually. Everything leads a breadcrumb trail for a fox to munch up, but this Omni being simply just removed her from the cosmic string no crumbs, this infuriates her.

After the mental turmoil settled down somewhat, it didn't take long for it to be renewed with the missing presence of her starball. Several quick panic tailspins later, she noticed an odd glowing cherry in the middle of this white prison. She knew this wasn't her soul tree and wasn't particularly impressed at being mocked by her imprisonment.

The pangs of mortal hunger, a feeling she surpassed when she ascended mortality bombarded her body. With the craving for sustenance the cherry tree transformed into a pond, but much to her ongoing public roasting there was no living creature to consume.

The Kitsune just started into the pond her gaze static over her reflect which immediately told her she had reverted into her feral form. Another disconnection from herself sprouted as she was unable to find the muscle that allows her to trigger her shape-shifting. As to why it did not work was unknown to her and was just another question she added to her list of demanded answers.

The waters reflecting properties slowly soothed the fox down, which made the thought dawn on her that she should investigate that strange orb the white one handed her. The fox somberly walked over to the sphere and retrieved it with her tails and walked back to the pond to deposit it. "Maybe this bloody thing will give me fish....." She annoyingly chittered away.

Her reflection warped by the presence of the suddenly very alluring orb of Omnilium. She wasn't stupid enough to eat a random never before seen entity, a lesson kitsune learn when young or soon die.

She focused on the orb and over several minutes fish appeared within the pond, and then her starballl shortly after, their authenticity flawless, but the disconnection grew within her. Something was different fundamentally, what she just made for all intense-purposes is real, not a mere illusion that she would typically make. She found herself unable to create any illusion, but this Omnilium she could mold like clay to make anything. Not vastly different then celestial crafting, but making her dependent on this dumb rainbow colored orb.

However her hungry grew more ravenous, and eventually, those fish became devoured fish with an upset starving dire fox with many tails into a wet, sleepy dire fox sleeping tails curled up into a ball around her protecting her starball. Her groggy thoughts and typical fox behavior was rest now figure out this bullshit later.

Elizabeth wandered around the nexus, each step little more than the sound of leather boots meeting stone. Her voice remained untested since her encounter with her would be pickpocket, the situation long resolved. She watched the curious looking creature from a distance as it summoned a ball and what appeared to be food from its own orb of omnillium. Slowly...... deliberately... the noblewoman unslung her long oak longbow and fitted a black fletched arrow from her quiver, fitting the projectile to the bowstring in a single motion. The strong limbs of oak pulled taut as a strong arm drew the string back to her ear.

“Breathe…… in…… out…… in …...out.”

She muttered, helping calm herself down in preparation for her shot. The fox-like creature was something the huntress had never seen before, its many tails playfully flicking back and forth as it tested its newfound prowess. She watched the curious creature as it ate at some food it had summoned. The assassin regretted that she was about to end the life of such a fine creature.

“May you find solace in the comforting cold embrace of the lady of death.” The noblewoman spoke in not but a whisper. A prayer for her prey.

Something was not right, standing here in the middle of the nexus bow drawn, arrow nocked she decided to stay her hand, instead opting to approach the strange creature.

She had been sleeping for about thirty minutes before her natural survival instincts coupled with Kitsune senses detected a presence nearby. The dire fox grabbed her starball and stretched like any k9 with a ball, unfurling nine fluffy black tails with purple tips, and turn her body and face toward the approaching being.

Mochi's green glowing eyes squinted as she glared at the being, seeing a white leather figure no more than two feet taller than her feral height. She canted her head sideways to get a better view, then the foxes eyes briefly pulsed as she sent the emotion of a greeting toward the being in question.

Her tails wagged spread apart where each was next to each other, like a peacock spreading its tail feathers allowing tail each to be counted. Mochi naturally set her mind to the task of her every growing list of questions and demands that steady added up with no end in sight infuriating her, as she used to be the one with the answers.

She would physically huff thinking to herself "Hopefully this being might have some questions." while keeping an eye on the women's lowered bow. She studied the beings weapons for what it resembled a long bow of sorts and a wood cutting axe in a hoop on her right side, which told Mochi the women must be a hunter of sorts that favored her left hand for tasks.

The Meistrian huntress watched the strange creature, its multiple tails some form of witchcraft? Or some mythic beast perhaps. It of course was an ill omen to kill a beast like that.

“Fortune favors mine hand.” Elizabeth whispered quietly, little more than a prayer of thanks to the lady of death.

Her right hand lowered, bringing the wicked bodkin arrow down with it. Her free hand slid the arrow off the string and slipped it under her wolfskin cloak into the quiver hidden on her hip. A feeling of greetings filled the assassins head, a truly strange feeling to be sure.

Somehow this fox was inside Elizabeth’s head, clearly something like this was heresy of the highest order, but for one educated such as she it deserved at least some form of investigation.

Elizabeth carefully and cautiously stepping silently on the chiseled white stone. Each step silent and efficient. Her eye’s never leaving the bright green of the large fox.

“What are you?” The noblewoman asked, keeping at least thirty feet of space, a precaution in the event this beast was aggressive in nature.

The Kitsune stood her ground as the women approached, her wild green eyes locked onto the huntress brown eyes and pulsed again sending a disembodied voice into the woman's head. “A being that’s stuck in this place, Just like you….” The voice would appear in the women's head as one’s inner voice, but not. Listeners would think the sound would come from every direction.

The voice was laced with the emotion of worry and frustration at suddenly appearing here and would sound young and soft, but wise and paced. It chimed in again “But If you must know, I am a Kitsune.” This was all transpiring as the Dire Fox kept the large starball within her mouth with no need to use her muzzle to attempt to communicate. Mochi sniffs the air around the women and gleams some information about what realm they may have come from, which leads the fox to see, “earth, medieval times, hidden from magic.”

"A kitsune, what in the blanket of death is that?" Elizabeth wondered to herself. The curious fox seemed to have taken an interest in the huntress, the beast's curious sniffs seemed to have more deliberation than what she had been used to. Still the fact the animal could communicate within the confines of her mind gave the Vesturan woman pause. "Magic?" She asked aloud, such a thing was unheard of in her world, a mere facet of the imagination. Yet here and now this fox with its strange ball in its muzzle stood before her. The nexus fountain continued its eternal shape shifting as it shifted forms once more as another prime came and left.

"Strange creatures these primes...." She said quietly finally moving her bow from her hand and sliding it up onto her shoulder with reverence for the weapon, avoiding getting hair from her cloak wrapped up in the bowstring.

"Where does thou hail from?" She finally asked as she sat down, carefully crossing her legs and resting upon them. the only noise she made was the creaking of her white leather armor as it bent and folded over the chain mail links beneath it
