[Round 3 - C] Ash & Jak Mar vs Cerise & Gildarts
#1
The four primes appeared on opposite sides of a battlefield already stained red with gore.

"How lovely," Ash cooed as she stooped down and traced a fingertip along the jawline of a dead man. "Dedication." She added as she bopped the dead boy on his helmet and glanced into the city toward the pair of primes who awaited them.

A small woman with a scowl stood next to the tallest hunk of meat Ash had seen this side of the Danteverse.

"Well hello," she spoke softly as she sized up Gildarts. "This will be fun."

“Battle of Darkshire” – The town that no one wants to live but everyone wants to apparently blow the fuck to pieces (or at least back when that was the cool thing). This recreation of the Battle of Darkshire is a Fight Area that encompass the Main Gate and the surrounding square and structures. It is here that a handful of defending primes and the forces of Darkshire squared off to determine the fate of the rural city. Beyond the borders of the Fight Area, you can spot clashes in adjacent streets and buildings. Both teams are provided with optional equipment armories on their side of the Fight Area related to the side they represent.

Stipulation: Extra weapons and equipment provided.

“Ash! Jak! Great to see you two!”

Ash had forgotten about the powerhouse that was Gildarts Clive until she heard his booming friendly voice greeting them. She watched as his arm swung invitingly over his head. A smirk came to her as she labeled him naive.

Ash’s dainty hand waved back. “Go easy on us, Big Guy~!” she sang across the empty battlefield.

His reply took her back to hot sands, cold drinks, and a great view of half-naked men on the volleyball court. “No promises!”

The blank spaces in her skull narrow and Cheshire's grin graced her facial features once more. “Take care of the girl, I want Gildarts to myself.”

Without looking over, she watched Vulcan Fury’s muzzle fall into her peripheral vision, flowers of light exploded from it which flashed like lightning across her wicked gleeful countenance.

Suppression fire thunked across the Crash Mage’s guarding appendage, fire-orange sparks flying away from the redhead's hidden face. “Aggressive! I like it!” his praise billowed over the machine gun fire.

Behind him, the fragile girl leaped and landed chest first into the mud.

Taking your eyes off of the cyberdecker tended to have catastrophic results; that’s when Ash did her best work. As soon as she was out of their sights, she skated through the back alley of the town to encircle her pray in a matter of seconds, leaving grooves in the muck as the only way to track her.

“Now may not be the time for compliments, S-Sir.” Cerise readied her guns as she spoke, expertly scanning the battleground as she did. If the pink-haired girl had her suspicions it didn’t show. The invisible demoness contemplated cutting the girl’s head off before anyone knew what happened, but her ambitions were settled already on the orange-haired mage.

Conveniently timed, Jak dropped behind a chest high wall, probably in need of a reload, and the gun-girl raced off to a more advantageous point. Meanwhile, Gildarts reminded Ash why he was called the Crash Mage. His boots slid into firm positions in the gore, and his cloak fluttered behind him as he. The female mage thought Jak would be more helpful if he wasn’t dead and decided to intervene.

The beast in her hand awoke with a mighty roar which alerted the attractive magician to his quick decision: Drop his spell or be impaled like everyone else. It wasn’t that hard of a choice, but only by a stroke of luck did his prosthetic come perfectly into place to stop her sneak attack.

Falling amber-colored stars rained down on them as metal collided with the Emperor’s Elite weaponry. Ash’s piercing lifted with the corner of her mouth.

She locked eyes with Mr. Clive.

“Impressive, Ash. Do you think you can defeat me?”

“If I say yes, will you kiss me after the fight?”

A rumbling laughter exploded from his throat. “A sexy woman like yourself? I’d be happy to oblige in this request for your consolation prize."

“You wound me, Gil,” she cooed.

“Better than the alternative," he taunted throwing his fist at her but only found empty air.

Dancing with a dangerous and handsome man on the battlefield had adrenaline pumping. To compete with him was as exhilarating as it was when she fought the troll or ogre; fighting Titans of power was her kind of thing. To do this all and keep their brittle relationship intact would be a feat. Almost as big of an achievement as if she could progress it instead.

Around them hot energy whistled by as the girl showed off her skill, coming much closer to Ash than she’d like to admit. The one that stood out happened as she was expertly twisting into the air to dodge another one the Crash Mage’s blows. She’d been rolling over his back when she caught the visual of a ’bullet’ following the straight of her horn before clipping the hooked end. When she stuck the landing she had a chip missing and a genuinely surprised look on her face.

Gildarts, a man of opportunity, twisted around as Jak chased Cerise back into her hiding-hole and took his own swing at the vulnerable Storm Demon. Every natural and cybernetic warning went off inside her, alerting her to the end of her life. It left her powder pink thong soaked.

The heavy weapon slipped from her numb fingers as her body was launched across the battlefield by the powerful man’s fleshier fist. She was but a smooth bruised colored stone skipping across the grime and gore. She barely touched the ground for longer than half a second before coming to a painful stop against one of the ramshackle-buildings.

A moment later after impact, the force behind his punch crashed into her and left a spiderweb of cracks in the fragile wall. Her face burned with arousal as she struggled to breathe. Her date with the Ultramarine came to mind, sprawled over a desk; awaiting his hot load. She let out a perverted giggle and considered how many days it might take to walk after this in comparison.

This place was a nightmare. Like a hurricane had come through in the aftermath of an all out war and gotten into another fight with a tornado full of blood and corpses. The fact that there was as much still standing around here as there was seemed nothing short of a miracle. Then again...stranger things seemed to happen with sense-slapping regularity around here.

The bigger issue was how she was pinned down now, with the threat of blaster fire tearing her head off if she peeked out for longer than a second. That damn long-eared fool, Jak, and his gun. He wasn't a real marksman, but skilled enough that it didn't matter at this range with the volume of fire he was putting out. "This is why I hate machine guns," she hissed under her breath.

Behind one side of the main gate, she was safe and out of sight for the moment; she couldn't see the fight between her partner and the insufferable demoness going on among the muck and corpse garden outside, but she could hear it well enough. Thanks to her brief intervention before being chased away by a rain of bullets, it looked like Gildarts had it handled well enough for the moment. Which just left the more irritating problem for her to deal with.

She knelt down, sliding her pistols into their holsters under her coat and scooping up weapons from a fallen soldier. Shield, and a short sword. A nice compliment of weaponry, even if they weren't exactly her forte. With them in hand, she took a deep breath to steady her nerves and then closed her one good eye. After a moment, she simply faded from sight; nothing more than a shadow among the corpses.

Stealth work. What she'd been trained for. Rarely did she get a chance to make use of it, but no time like the present.

Not back around the gate; not back out into the open. She crept back the wall, toward the edge of the arena, before she knelt down and sprang up and over the wall.

She touched down lightly, dropping into a crouch and bolting forward to not present an easy target. She had no idea how observant the long-eared gunman was. Just because she was invisible didn't mean she couldn't still be found.

And always, she kept her eyes open. Both for sight, keeping track of her surroundings, and for keeping a keen eye on her opponents. Carefully scanning and observing to get a picture of what they were capable of while she skirted around to a more advantageous position.

The thunder of the crash mage and the repeated, frenetic crack of gunfire constantly sounded as the snake clambered her way up a hill made of equal parts dirt, grime and corpses. She crouched lightly there, peering down at the other participants in this fight. Gildarts had been left hard-pressed on his own to contend with both of their opponents; he was sturdy, and holding his own, but as Cerise observed she could see it was a defensive fight on his part. His teeth were bared in a grimace, as he slowly retreated and ducked this way and that, parrying and lashing out with halfhearted strikes to discourage rather than actually wound. "Cerise!" he shouted, backpedaling from the engagement. "Where are you?!"

The huntress hopped forward, onto the downslope of the disgusting hill she perched on and let it aid her as she picked up speed to break into a run. She let the pilfered sword trail behind her, testing the weight of it to get the right feel as she adjusted her grip on it. Not exactly an expertly-crafted weapon...but it will do.

She closed in quickly, waiting for an opportune moment before striking with bared fangs. An opportune moment that came when the crash mage parried another blow in a shower of sparks, grimacing as he was forced back from the fray. Cerise struck, darting in quickly and leaping upon the back of the gunman with a sharp hiss. Arms came up, latching around his neck with a grip as tight as she could manage.

Like a viper, fangs flashed in the dim battlefield light as they bit down, striking at Jak's exposed neck. Her visible eye flashed angrily, as venom coursed from her bite. The shock of it nearly deadened the pain, only making the man's eyes go wide before the unbearable agony set in. He stiffened, reaching up with both hands to try and swat the girl off, flailing and snarling madly. A tremble set in soon, as his snarling turned into mangled nonsense, just vocalizing pain.

Her grip couldn't hold on forever against such a desperate attempt, especially not when Jak leaped backward, crashing down to the ground on his own back and sandwiching the snake between his armored back and the cold, hard ground.

A mismatched pair of gasps of differing degrees of pain wheezed out of both of them as Cerise squirmed and worked her way free, rising up into a crouch, ready to continue the fight.

Sneaky sneaky. Cerise looted some weapons and then went stealth and snuck around to surprise Jak with a Snakebite. Then promptly got floored in a very painful way.

The greige fog hung densely around the area like haunting souls from the already dead and dying, leaving an atmosphere of dread and depression. All of which Darkshire was meant to be.

The gloomy mood followed into Jak’s head.

Light struggled to keep his cool as he found himself cursing betwixt gritted teeth. The angelic persona caught his host gracefully and clung to him protectively. His shimmering holy light dimmed down to but a flicker in the darkness that consumed them all. “Come on Jak, you can’t quit on me- on us!! Not like this, not over a snake bite! You are DYNAMITE KID!! YOU CAN'T GIVE UP NOW!”

His words of panicked motivation did not seem to work. Mar laid there, frozen in his arms, eyes widened and defeat already settling into his mind.

Amongst the shadows, the Dark King himself stood. Beside’s the shaking of armor with all its rings and leather he waited in solemn silence. It was unlike him to stand by and do nothing, but he had no words.

Unsure of what to do when faced with their host’s mortality. Desperation sank into Lights heart. “Say something, Dark!!” Light’s glowing eyes look straight into the monster he feared. ”We have to save him! Say something!”

The beast stood and argued back “Don’t tell me what to do! Can’t you heal him?! He’s in pain!”

Light’s shoulders felt heavier at that moment but he had no strength to hold them up anymore. The truth was, he wasn’t even sure if he could…

Jak’s enraged persona stole a quick glance in his the direction of his throne. It was massive, black, gothic, and covered in Eco-Gems. Then the Dark King did something uncharacteristically of himself. He grabbed his black crown from his head and cast it aside!

Did he actually give a shit about what happened to all of them!? When they all faced the dangers of dying, possibly forever?

Then again, his survival did hang on Jak’s

”Get out of the way, bitch.” The violet colored beastly arms reached down grabbed Jak by the collar, he then began to shake the knife-eared man violently. ”Get yourself up you piece of shit! You think this is pain! YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT PAIN IS!!”

From his position on the other side of Jak, the Heroic Light could see tears welling up in Dark’s eyes despite the clinging wisps of shade. Suddenly his heart felt heavier than his shoulders.

”YOU DON’T KNOW THE PAIN OF LONELINESS OR THE PAIN OF HATRED! YOU MAKE ME DEAL WITH IT ALL!! HOW DARE YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST ROLL OVER AND FUCKING DIE!! YOU CAN FUCKING DO THAT WHEN I TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN!!”

The truth of his rage bubbled into all of their chests. It felt like a child who struggled with having to grow up before he got to enjoy life.

”TWO. FUCKING. YEARS!!” Dark snarled and smashed Jak into the floor of his mind, threatening to take over completely. From under them their world shook and broke. He finally let out a kingly roar as he shoved Jak through the confines of his mind and back into reality!

The Eco-Warrior let a breathless scream of pain, “FUCK!”

Only when Jak became dizzy and started to feel lightheaded did he take another breath. Dark’s words echoed through his mind, so did the beating he’d received. Through gritted teeth and crippling pain, he refused to let this be the end! He felt the weight of Vulcan Fury still in his hands, and a bad idea forming in his poisoned mind.

Dark had been correct. Jak tended to run to him in the face of excruciating pain like this. Falling behind the shadows instead of welding them. “Dark… I need you,” he whispered to himself as he reached his shaking feet.

Inside Light sighed his relief as Jak recovered. His eyes turned to the beast that held him in fear for so long. He felt he understood the frightened animal a lot more now, and his look turned deeply sympathetic. He meant to say something, to make him feel better despite their differences, but he was cut off by their host’s hand reaching out to Dark.

The newly vulnerable demon shrank back as if flinching.

“I am not strong enough, Dark. You can thrive in the pain that paralyzes me. Please. I need you.” Jak pleaded, genuinely.

The child-like purple beast looked to Light as if needing permission. The Angel chuckled, and then waved him to go on. He no longer thought Dark as mindless and emotionless.

A growl slipped from Dark’s fanged smile, bravado and confidence rushed back to him as he took Jak's hand!!

Clawed fingers drag across the metal of his gun. “You call this pain?” He laughed as abyssal eyes lock on Cerise’s translucent form. “Try again.” Vulcan Fury lit up, bullets pelted across the mud where the sneaky woman had been. He used his best guess to where she was afterward thoughtlessly.

Just another man chasing after ghosts in Darkshire.

The green gush of soggy fog clung to the prime’s only organic ankle. Eyes pricked his skin, but he could not see from where. Disease mingled with the scent of putrid air, its pungency heightened by fear. His partner had gone to flank and been met with an obstacle, the crash mage’s keen ears had heard swatting noises before sound dissipated with the insulated fog closing in.

The sickly clouds left Gildarts relying on instinct to see. The succubus wore a cloak of opaque shadow as her soft cooing nibbled at his ears with a hollow, playful haunting. His stomach clenched, why was it was always the fierce, sexy ones he saw as a challenge?

“C’mon, please don’t make me hurt you, if you give it up easily, well… There’s a prize in store,” he could feel the wink in her voice. In fact, his attention sharpened and his angle shifted as power centered in his core, a frosting magic formed slicing the Darkshire overgrowth inches from Ash's toes. “Shit!” she flushed up like a spooked grouse, leaves instead of feathers caught in the air before drearily falling.

“Well, you got me cutie, I’m all yours now,” lush lips hung with a curve on her apple colored cheek.

Gildarts couldn’t quite push down the flattery from warming his face. “Come now, why don’t you go home and I’ll meet you there.”

Ash’s eyebrows rose with brief consideration while Gildarts seized her flicker, "Too slow sweetheart," she caught his arm across her chest and shackling his wrist with her fingers. “If you wanted to be closer you could have just asked.” Blue static grew around her nails, smearing crimson blood that quickly congealed with electric heat.

A wince carved itself across the crash-mage’s aged brow and a retaliation of magic blasted the succubus back, her silhouette hung imprinted on the fog as her body dragged into the ground, her skin tearing slowly open and filling with the stinging mixture of dirt and flesh.

The sudden impact threw Jak’s legs out from underneath him and Gildarts hastened his determined stride after the fallen angel. Cerise had been holding something large and sharp next to Jak’s throat and as luck had struck, instead of falling into this blade he’d been knocked out of harm’s way and into Ash’s arms. Hot cheeks and ground-checks flavored the tone of the battle, Cerise’s sword was a bit dingy, yet as Gildarts closed in it seemed to hum with enchantment. The assassin’s eyes flashed quizzically at it, yes, there was no doubting there was some sort of reaction to his magical aura, whether it was good or bad, she’d soon find out.

“Oh Gillypoo, I’m right where you want me,” Ash smirked as she didn’t bother getting back up, instead she whipped out a goliath sized hybrid sword and stood it tall and ready for her, etched in the silver teeth were flecks rust mingling with freshly aged blood.

Gildarts, with his adolescent-sized audience let his excitement fall and his determination rise. Sparks of black magic formed around his hands and an imminent sense of doom grasped Ash's gut. Fear widened in her eyes as claws of lightning struck forward, a phantom shield appeared at the last second, protecting her but leaving her new toy with a buzz-kill. The demon launched herself from the ground and Cerise took action, her blade was now vibrating with power and she couldn't wait to unleash it on her newest prey.

Meanwhile Jak unleashed a full assault on Gildarts, bullets sprouted across the air and the movement flashed faster than either could see, sparks of metal remnants bounced as they hit the dirt. Momentum stopped before they could bleed the flesh of their bulky target.

"I can tell those would've hurt," Gildarts spoke grimly.

Jak then saw that Cerise was occupied, eyes driven against Ash as she lay pinned. An overwhelming choice came over him, to save Ash, or defend himself against this massive brute? The threat was written in the elfish creature's eyes, Gildarts felt his breath catch mid-epiphany while he remained idle yet poised, movement on the balls of his feet.

The choice was made. A spray of bullets erupted into the air aimed at Cerise, most were driven back by a shockwave of magic tossed by the handsome mage, yet two hit Cerise's left shoulder and a splatter of rouge blood tickled Ash's face. Seizing the moment as Cerise funneled the pain into a locked chasm of her mind, the succubus sprang loose. In her rush, a slice from the blade licked Ash just below her ribs. Ebony blood poured out thicker than liquor and a painful shriek was overcome by a callous growl, followed by a launch of fists fueled by fury.

Rage was nothing new for Dark Jak. His pale form stood like some were-beast as he howled out in anger between his Ash and the woman who intended to harm her. Ash watched from behind him as his elongated nails slashed at the air defensively. A smirk slid its way on her face, satisfied that her efforts of enforcing her position in his life had yet to fail her safety. Unlike Desman…

Though she found herself a little surprised that The Dark King came to defend her and not her Light Prince, it made sense for Jak to utilize his most powerful emotions to assist.

She glanced around at their battlefield, her prized possession stood among the bodies and blood in near distance. Invictus’ paper crinkling as it waved in the light breeze. Other weapons spilled out from crates all around them, none interested the demoness though. On the other side of them she saw the ominous shadow of Gildarts passing through the ghostly fog approaching them quickly, she could sense the charging spell in his hand.

In short, her choices were: Let her meat-shield take the attack, or face her handsome mage head on.

As tempting as it was to play the easy role of damsel in distress, Ash took her Quill into her right hand and pressed her left against Dark. If it were anyone else he may not have even noticed the delicate touch, but for whatever reason, he stopped as quickly as she expected he would. The morality mirrored humanoid shoved her knight out the way - over a chunk of discarded wall -  and stepped into view revealing her own shocking transformation.

This accomplished two goals of false pretense. The first being that Ash was saving Jak from a powerful attack, implanting the idea that she cared about his well being and was willing to put herself into harm’s way for him. The second was that she was vulnerable to the destructive nature of Crash Magic, that she made a fool-hearted mistake.

Silver-white lines crisscrossed over her entire body as the attack pushed her back several feet, leaving a burning sensation in her skin. She couldn’t contain her jubilation as she cried out over the background screams of pain with her moans of pleasure!

She’d barely managed to stay on her feet, but when her arched back straightened out and she turned her glowing cyan eyes on the magician and his snake companion she had a joyful grin. They watched as the lines dissolved now that the spell had run its course, she watched their shock overcome their faces. “Fishnet, Gildarts? I’ll remember that for later.” Ash purred before sprinting towards them both.

It was Cerise’s turn to be honorable, she pushed past her comrade and aimed Enigma Lily at the advancing charge, unloading most of the clips into The Storm Demon. Fourteen hot energy shots were made with the idea that the woman was smart enough to dodge as many as she could. To the assassin’s surprise, she did not. Her trigger hand relaxed when she felt her plan was flawed. The damage had been done, she watched as cobalt-blue blood exploded from the last two cauterized holes as the succubus cried out in bliss.

The single visible scarlet eye of her disquieted opponent went wide and the girl took a hesitant step back.

Ash took pleasure in the consternation look on Cerise. “Typical. Girls just like to tease,” she pouted playfully as she wrapped her arms around her upper body. “They're not as fun as strong, dominant men.” Gildarts’ felt her gaze on him.

A man as experienced as he understood that look; he became flushed by the realization that she was aroused. “Th-This isn’t really the time, Ash,” he attempted to distract her despite his own bewilderment.

“Aw...” Ash groaned in response before a wicked smile sliced her face in half! “I’ll just finish myself off~!” she announced, lifting her hand high into the air. In the grim light, The Red Devil’s Quill gleamed, then it was plunged down into her gut! Ash stood hunched over feeling the blade vibrating inside her, not unlike a vibrator like she was comparing it to.

The next few seconds happened quickly. Ash wrenched the weapon out of her gut with a scream of euphoria, navy blue ichor arcing in the air as it followed the trajectory of the dagger, and the release of her attack. Sheer pink spires discharged from her tense core in a sign of relief, shooting across the map in all directions. Shards of stored energy slammed into the bodies of her enemies, their punishment to her reflected back onto them.

Afterward, Ash fell to her knees, barely able to hold onto her blood-soaked dagger as she gasped for air. Exhaustion consumed her in her blanket of stealth...

“Ash?” Jak cried out, standing up from the cover she’d shoved him over. “WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?” The Dark King growled in anger while Cerise and Gildarts stood helplessly as he lifted part of a wall from the wet earth.

Ash used 4/8SP for T2 STORM DEMON for the rest of the fight: 4/1/8/11
Ash used Masochist's Climax
Description:
Ash has always been the type to focus on avoiding attacks through dodging, netralizing, or escape. After her fight with the Ultramarine she understands her frailty can also become a great weapon. Ash focuses on taking hits from the other fighter instead of dodging using foresight to assist with this task, however, much of the strength from these attacks are absorbed leading them to do the same damage as if they only glanced her - ie as if she tried to dodge - leading to a more enjoyable situation. This absorbtion happens for any attack she would be able to dodge and normally would dodge. For 10 seconds of esctacy Ash cannot attack/counter or dodge the attacks.
After 10 seconds the the stored pleasure energy is too much to contain and is realeased in a single loud but lewd moan. This forms a weaponized sound wave that explodes from her in the form of jagged translucent pink dagger sized shards of energy which spray out in a 30-ft radius around her at the speed of sound. These shards do more damage based on how much damage Ash absorbed and leaves the unfortunate victims dazed for 3 seconds and causes them to lose sight of Ash with both their vision and enhanced senses.
Ash is exhausted for a few seconds after this, especially after a particularly harsh beating~! <3
Ash used The Red Devil’s Quill.
Jak used 2 SP to transform again, and +2 more to continue Dark Jak for rest of Fight: 9/3/6/4 - Permission granted in Discord - 6/6SP used.

The weight of the enormous stone slab felt feather-light compared to the overwhelming feelings welling up in Dark’s heart. His targets stared back into his sickly-yellow crazed eyes. Time slowed down so that seconds felt like agonizing years, in the rightful attempts to survive, they have broken this monster’s steel heart.

Among the waste left in the wake of war, the graphic gore, and the mountains of dead bodies… A single person mourned the death of his sanity’s anchor, Ash. Thick, crystal-like tears spilled over the brims of his snarled features as the Dark Beast let out an earth-shattering scream of emotional pain.

He gripped the sides of the concrete mass and swung it with stretched out arms.

Two years worth of unbridled rage for what the Dark Makers had put him through was unleashed upon Gildarts’ stubble-covered square jaw. A cracking sound could be heard over the entirety of Darkshire. Just exactly what the sound had been was anyone’s guess. It may have simply been the masonry material breaking apart in Dark’s claws, but the idea of it being the chiseled jaw of the Strongest Prime upon impact would have been legend-worthy.

From behind a decade’s worth of blurring tears, Dark watched the magician crash into his nearby combat buddy, their stunned bodies flung across the field into the gate as if rag dolls tossed by a bored youngling.

Every muscle in Dark’s arms felt numb, foreign, and heavy. He lacked the strength to hold them up, thus they fell limply to his side. Soon his head followed in a bow. Doing so his eyes landed on the ground where a puddle of blue gloss had been sprayed across the battle-worn earth. He knew this color. Before it brought him twisted obsessive pleasure, but today it was rage inducing.

A painful kind of offense that left him feeling empty. Like a wounded animal at the loss of a mate.

The dark eco-warrior had his domain and a handful of other majestic things. Everything was at his beck and call - as it should be for any respected King. Despite all these luxuries, however, Dark had never experienced honest happiness. Today he’d tasted it in the form of gratitude. This droplet of positivity had been gifted to him by none other than Ash.

She must have amazing talent to impress even a king like himself.

Refocused, Dark set his eyes on his dazed and wounded enemies. Despite the female not taking the brunt of his attack, she seemed the most out of it. The wizard hovered over her supine body as he shook her gingerly. As gently as the orange-haired man could.

Ash…” Dark smiled to himself as he pulled out a pair of handcuffs from his pack then willingly slapped them onto his own wrist, a sign that he dedicated just as much of his life to her as the other two. “Thank you.” he paused to clench his fist. “It’s been a crazy fight out here, let this not be our last fight together.” the beast of fury whispered as he leaned down and picked up another random object, his eyes set on the Crash Mage as he continued his feeble attempts to shake the girl out of her stupor.

When one of the manliest of men Jak knew turned to face the exterior demon he found the creature has picked up a large, muscular leg. He was holding it by the exposed femur bone and tapped the rigid ankle in his palm as he waited patiently for the wizard to make a move. The bone of the makeshift club was fractured in a way that could be used as a weapon on its own merit but before that, Dark Jak would relentlessly beat his intended target with the meaty limb...

“I understand you are a bit upset, Jak, but I don’t want to hurt you,” Gildarts spoke firmly and honestly.

Save your breath old man, you aren’t talking to that weakling anymore. You didn’t spare Ash so why should I stop?

The idea of the demons inside of Jak being real left the man before him a little shaken. If only for his own battle against his past resurfacing. He hesitated, “Her blood is not on my hands, Jak. Snap out of it!”

Liar!” A brave roar came out of Dark’s mouth. “You are the strongest prime and so you must have! Karl wants blood and you look like a perfect sacrifice!” Gildarts appeared ready for some sort of attack though nothing would prepare him for the desperate primal force that was Dark. The detached foot kicked Gildarts across the other side of the face, so hard it broke the healthy club in two. Before the experienced fighter could react to it, however, two powerful and large hand close around his neck! “IT ENDS HERE!” he decreed.

Behind swirling insane irises Dark watched as the strongest prime’s face slowly began to turn the same color as his hands. He raked his needle-thin talons against Gildarts flesh to remind him that he was not a god.

Four, no longer.

Blood dribbled in glistening beads, originating from the wrong target. Fallen to misplaced anger and adorned with ruby streaks across ebony fabric was the girl, his partner. Everything slowed as though he had been submerged in water, the child-sized body fell before he and Jak, all breath had ceased from her small lithe form.

The crash-mage’s expression wilted in agony as a lump of what once was hung off his forearms, limp. It took seconds to soak his hands like warm gravy, ichor that was once life now drew the lines of death upon him. It took him no time to succumb to the magic that had thirsted and growled for so long just to be released from its immure. Justice would be served and for the death of a child, he would reap his vengeance. Cerise had fallen not in glory, but the path of destruction meant for him. Now, everyone would fall, and the strongest mage would surely be the last one standing.

Rage rolled in the miasma of the daunting air, static crackled as wind and gravity shattered the ground below him. Two demons’ power rivaled one another, blood colored eyes matched the stains on the crash-mage’s fingers. Nothing could take back what had happened, nor, what would soon become of them.

The mage’s face now remained flat, as Ash’s lips twitched with amusement laced with horror. “Yeah baby give me everything you’ve got!” Air seethed between her lips as her tongue slithered lapping up lustful saliva. While Jak withstood Gildarts’ initial hurricane of power, still grappling with what he had done he concluded it was what he had come here to do and not a worthwhile distraction. The succubus sniggered with excitement as electricity danced around her horns, the air thrilled with magic and the buildings and trees around them collapsed into a shroud of smog.

Wordless, Gildarts struck Jak with a slap, the impish creature was flatted as the ground around him shattered to bits. Blood burst from his cheek and burned with the sediment he’d been pressed to. Harsh gravity bound him and his stomach gripped with pain has he fought to merely stand.

“My, my Gilly, I’ve never seen this side of you before,” erupting in her palms was a blast of lightning that hit the mage square in the chest. The pain dosed him deeper into mindless mourning and he trudged forward, a juggernaut of power and harbinger of death. Ash teased sadistically, “Come on baby, I’m ready.”

Gildarts unleashed a phenomenal blast of pearlized power, a wave of blissful white encompassed the demon, perhaps even cleansing her as she felt a painful blast hit her body. “Keep… It coming.” she remained unrelenting and tossed back her own reins of power. Chains darted forth and punctured into the flesh of his chest, blood gushed and Ash maneuvered her way into pinning the prime down. He’d decimated all the trees and even the ground was unreliable, but with the right amount of chain, he would be bound where he stood.

Jak was now on his toes and ready to unleash everything on Gildarts, the slap still stung on his face and smudged his pride in front of Ash. Bullets fell to their mark one after the other as the Prime remained steady and in his sights. Ash clung to the chain not far from the barrage as she tried to combat the mage who sought to be free of his bondage. She was flung up, controlled by the arms that gripped the chain and then unleashed another wave of electricity through the metal vines binding him.

Tazed and dazed, the shadow across Gildarts face only grew, blinded by rage he felt no pain as Jak reloaded his guns, the mage merely uttered a “One…” Blood oozed from his lips, warm and lively, catching on the edge of his chin before dribbling in a steady stream coating his chest, “Two.”

“What’s that? Counting down to your defeat?” Ash still dominated as he remained in her grasp.

“Thr..uh,” the strongest prime unleashed vengeful judgement upon Jak and the murderer’s skin glistened in reflection to Fairytail’s holy seal.

“Jak!” Ash called out in horror, she’d had Gildarts pinned yet it still hadn’t been enough. The succubus had no time to watch her partner’s fate as her tether to the crash mage was cast aside, limp.

The crash mage’s knees wavered, energy sapped, yet across the battlefield, Cerise lay nearly still. "Ha, I knew he had it in ‘im,” she smiled to keep a hack of blood from escaping her lips and lifted her shaking wrist. With one eye she struggled to stare down the snout of her pistol from this angle, her neck flinched every time it moved a centimeter but finally when the spinning stopped and the pain was steady, she pressed down on the familiar trigger.

Face to Face
#06 Ash & #10 Jak Mar vs #19 Cerise & #34 Gildarts

Ash tried to gain an advantage.  She created the distraction to let her partner slip free just before a blow from Gildarts sent her spiraling into blackness.

Seeing his partner ragdolled, Dark Jak felt fresh adrenaline burn through his eco-infused veins.  He lashed out, his fingers slicing open the other primes chest.

Gildarts stumbled back, body cut open by Dark Jak’s onslaught.

“Your time is up,” Jak Mar roared as he rushed forward and threw himself into the crash mage with all his might.

Cerise, her body aching, rose from some debris and made her way toward the scene of the collapsing structure.  Her partner was somewhere in there, and she needed to ensu—

There was a blur as a figure lashed out from the rubble.  A piece of stone smashed into the side of Cerise’ skull as her eyes rolled up into the side of her head.

Standing victorious, Dark Jak sneered.
Ash (2.5) & Jak Mar (2.4) defeat Cerise (1.3) and Gildarts (2.6)

#19 Cerise ELIMINATED
#34 Gildarts ELIMINATED

Ash and Jak will face the Quarterfinal loser with the 2nd highest score.  This is a slight change from the brackets, since the larvae/ahana team dropped out.

Cerise and Gildarts can post in the Elimination Exit thread and take a Teleporter to a verse of their choice.
