The human terminator sighed as he looked at the artifact one last time, he figured someone should hold onto it until they made it to Coruscant and the new place.
The Quinjet was eerily quiet and awkward until Marcus eyed Moon Knight and the leader of the Avengers stared back, looking out at a window.
“So, Marcus, you think you can lead us into Coruscant?”
The terminator sighed and crossed his arms “Coruscant? Talk about a long time since I’ve been there last. Also, the first time Skynet entered the Omniverse.”
He could feel his hands ball into a fist as he bit his tongue “So much shit to worry about.”
Marcus’s cold frown on his face turned, pointing at a portal leading out of the Vasty Deep. “Coruscant's portal is nearby.”
He pointed to a Omniverse map and nodded.
“I’ve been there before.”
It was then the giant metal jet passed through the Vasty deeps portal as the familiar site of the the buildings made many of the Avengers turn toward the city below.
All might bent down and pointed down at the crowd of stormtroopers around two primes.
“There might be a problem below.”
Moon Knight turned and looked out the front
“What’s going on, All might?”
Ratione and his partner looked below and answered “Either two primes got on the wrong side of the empire or vise versa.”
Marcus pushed his way to the back of the plane as he gritted his teeth.
Blair sighed, looking a bit annoyed. “This might interfere with the landing plans.” She turned to Frenchie “We’ll have to plan another landing route unless we want stormtroopers on us just for being in the area.”
Frenchie kept eying the situation outside.
“Deux nombres premiers sont entourés ci-dessous et les stormtroopers grouillent comme une meute d'abeilles.”
Blair sighed “English please, Frenchie.”
Frenchie took a breath and nodded “What i meant to say is we have a complicated landing pattern. Marc, we will take care of the Quinjet.”
Moon Knight nodded and issued commands “Alright, Avengers. We cannot do this lightly, and we might run into a hostile situation here. Don’t engage the stormtroopers unless they threaten you.
The calmer of the Avengers looked out the window again and sighed, taking a deep breath “From closer view, these two appear to be attacked by citizens but white stormtroopers seem to be investigating the situation.
Marcus eyed the other, frowning "These two didn't do anything, would the stormtroopers listen to reason?" “Didn’t we just stop a prison riot? The stormtroopers should be thanking us personally for helping them.
Moon Knight turned and sighed “Easy, Marcus. Not every stormtrooper is going to know the Avengers did things for them when things go right.”
Marcus crossed his arms, raising a eyebrow “Not every stormtrooper I met seemed to like me in the first place when I made it to Coruscant, even though Skynet planted itself in a local arcade.”
Marcus placed a hand against the jet's interior "In fact, I know Skynet is loving the fact it's swimming at the bottom of the ocean." He squeezed his forehead and sighed "Let's just agree to disagree, Moon Knight. Our first experiences with stormtroopers don't always match up to what we did for these guys.
Marc looked up at Marcus and placed a hand on his shoulder “We are the Avengers, we had our share of disappointments and achievements. You of all, should know this, Marcus.
The terminator man nods, eyeing Marc with his arms crossed “I love Sentimental talks, Moon Knight, but let’s focus on the mission at hand. Perhaps there’s time to talk later.
He sighed and his fist balled up a bit “Or that would be what Captain America would say in all of this.”
He’d be disappointed he lost Captain America’s most prized possession, the shield to Hydra of all people.
Marcus turned to Marc, seeing how disappointed he looked, a dramatic wind blowing through each of their hair “We’ll get that shield back, I promise.”
Just then a brief shadow of the Avengers showed up, memories of the past, present and future to come.
