I emerged from the portal and immediately was surprised by the sights. Tall towers made of some kind of metal I'd never seen before stood proudly over the area, their lights appearing as beacons in the sky. Hovercars and bikes drifted around above along designated paths.
I was brought out of my brief daze by another one of the soldiers. "Sir, we have to run security."
"Oh... sorry, was kind of distracted. Never seen a place like this before," I explained as he ushered me into the security checkpoint.
The security check took a few minutes, and included, among other things, some light questioning - including my name and why I came to Coruscant - as well as checking me for weapons and generally assessing my potential threat level before sending me on my way. After the security check, I found myself just wandering the streets, taking in the sights.
However, as I continued walking, I started noticing a particular amount of the guards around. I paused for a few seconds, taking a better look around. The white-armored officers seemed to outnumber average citizens by no small margin. I glanced at a wall and saw a camera. And then another.
This place is a damn police state, I thought to myself as I kept walking, slowly becoming disillusioned. I bumped into someone with my shoulder while I was busy looking around. A few of the Stormtroopers shot me dirty glares and a few of them tightened their grips on their weapons, as if believing for just a second that I had attacked him.
I then noticed something... in the middle of the street. Is that... an elevator?
Surely enough, that's what it was. An elevator, in the middle of the street, likely descending below the ground, made of a similar, polished metallic material as the buildings around it. What kind of city has an elevator in the middle of the street? No city I've been to, at least... Then again, no city I've been to has had flying cars before, either. Maybe this isn't that unusual for the Omniverse.
After a few minutes of debating, I decided to call up the elevator. When it arrived, I stepped inside. The inside was smooth and monochrome, similar to the buildings on the outside, with the buttons on a panel next to the door. The buttons were labeled "T1-T7." The "T1" button was glowing, declaring that as where I was.
After a few seconds of debating, I just decided to go somewhere at random. Let's hope the other areas aren't as 'Big Brother-esque' as it is here, I thought to myself. And, so began my descent into Tier 5.
