Deep within the confines of the fifth Tier, there was a mansion. The mansion of course had been once the property of a few dealers who had been selling things they shouldn't. Of course, since then the property had underwent a change in both ownership, and hygiene standards. The place had been cleaned up by Matthew completely. From the original looks of the place, no one could say that the place was the same as it had been. The once ruined and corroded mansion had been practically rebuilt by Matthew Mcginnis for himself. Every bit of damage that the place had, had been entirely repaired by the youngest of the Mcginnis Family. Deeper within the mansion was an underground base of sorts that was the actual place that belonged to the younger Mcginnis. Currently, he was down on the lower level of the place he now called home. "How did that go again?" asked Matthew, as he looked at the assortment of gadgets he had at his disposal. Dead Shot's Wrist Guns, or a replica thereof, a Replica of the Insider's Will Blaster, and replicas of many pieces of equipment worn and used by the heroes of his home. Some were even used by the villains of his world. Finally he decided he needed to practice a new skill for himself, one that would allow him to have something he could do with the replica of the blade wielded by Katana, her katana. Sighing, Matthew began to practice with the katana that he had at his disposal. Presently he was just practicing the basic moves with the sword. While he may be the rejected piece of DNA at the end of the gene pool, and just a piece of DNA no one but Amanda Waller had seen any use for, Matthew knew here in the Omniverse things were going to be different for him. For the one thing, with the use of Omnilium, one could create whatever they wanted.
Once he had gone up into the elevator, and made his way out to the "yard" if the patch of dirt that nothing grew on behind the mansion could be called a "yard" Matthew had set up several training dummies that he could practice with. All of his supplies had also been brought up by him because he knew he had a lot of skills he needed to learn if he was to become a hero here in the Omniverse. Among the others, he needed to become actually able to use the blade he carried just in case such should be needed by him for whatever reason. While it may seem paranoid, Matthew refused to let being under-equipped be a problem he had to deal with when it could mean life or death for him. Of course with the existence of other Primes any level of weakness could mean life or death. They were not the nicest, in the cases of some of them. It was one of the reasons that he mostly kept to himself for now.

If any of the criminals who encountered Matthew before came right now, he was at a distinct disadvantage. His weakness could not be allowed to be tolerated by him any longer. If he was to survive here in the Omniverse his skills needed to grow back to the level he had before he was in the Omniverse. Taking out the first of the tools he decided he'd practice with, the Insider's Will Blaster, Matthew looked it over. It was a "ring" of a sort that could be used by Matthew as a weapon of sorts, but was not as powerful as the capabilities of a Green Lantern Ring. Eventually he was going to need some more equipment for his arsenal. Taking aim at each of the targets he had set up, Matthew closed his eyes, and let loose the beam of green energy from the target. Sadly it was not as powerful as he personally would have liked to deal with. Really he wished there were more heroes out there. When a proximity alarm showing the presence of a gang of about twenty thugs nearby went off? Matthew wished for more backup even more fervently. When he had the Omnilium for it, one of the first things he was doing was putting up a wall, or some sort of turrets to blow away the intruders, or both actually for his own personal usage.

"I didn't get up in the morning," said Matthew as he walked out to the front of his mansion where he noticed several of the thugs. When he noticed one of them possessed an RPG Matthew did not even give the poor unfortunate, and soon to be screaming in pain thug a chance to use that. Using Deadshot's wrist guns quickly he fired, and the guy screamed in pain as the bullets penetrated his knee caps, bringing him down. There was one of the individuals out of the fight, and while Matthew had done his best to make it a non-fatal wound, he knew the guy would need medical care. Well, tough. Matthew was not dealing with people who came to his house and tried to mess with it when he had been busy doing something else that he preferred. "To deal with idiots that are trying my patience," stated the youngest of the Mcginnis Family as he dissipated the Wrist Guns. Once he had dissipated the Wrist Guns he decided it was time to try something he hadn't done before yet, actually. His new tactic was one he hadn't used before yet on any of them.
Taking out the hybrid bo-staff/fighting sticks tool he had it change into the shorter form that had one per hand. While these were not per say as powerful as he actually would have liked, Matthew did know they served a purpose. As a couple of the idiots lunged at him, Matthew slammed the sticks down onto the opponent's head, beginning "Head Drum Solo" on the individuals that were stupid enough to come close to him. "You don't!" Matthew smacked one of them who came close to him upside the head with the fighting stick in his right hand. "Come to my house!" Matthew smacked another. "And try to wreck the place," groaned the young Mcginnis as he finally had immobilized the individuals.

For every individual of the thugs he seemed to knock unconscious, more of them just kept on coming. Oh. It was time he stopped being Mr.Nice Guy with the individuals and busted out something with a bit more oomph than a non-lethal weapon, such as the Bo-Staff he had been using and had switched to in order to knock several of the individuals back. For he was not about to let them in the front gates of his property, at all. Switching to the Knife of Justice, Matthew performed blows on some of them with the knife, using a series of flips and acrobatic maneuvers to confuse a few of them as he took them down. Matthew was done being nice with the imbeciles because he wanted his property un-invaded. Unfortunately, it did not seem like the thugs were going to take the hint any time soon, and his stamina could not last forever. What he truly needed was reinforcements of some kind, but what could he do to gain them?

"Ouch." screamed Matthew as he was punched by one of the individuals, and collided with the hard, cold cement of his driveway. The guy who had whacked him was smirking at him, as he rushed forward at Matthew one more. Okay, there was to be no more playing around with these individuals. If they were willing to resort to violence like this, Matthew knew he had to react. His nose was gushing blood out of it, which was not a good sign. Given he didn't possess any abilities or skills relating to medicine or healing for himself, Matthew knew he had to stop these brutes. The question was, how though? Granted he could simply blast them with the Insider's Will Blaster but chances are more of them would keep coming if he continued to resort to half measures.
Did he need to resort to measure of a more lethal persuasion when dealing with these individuals? It was Matthew's hope they would stop, before he had to resort or utilize such dirty tactics as actually attempting to take them out of the equation. Still, he needed his house criminal free. As he performed Head Drum Solo on one of the idiots who got close enough, Matthew wished he had reinforcements. This wish doubled as he noticed twenty more of the idiots enter hiss property. At some point he was putting up an electrified fence, or a wall, or both all around his property, or barbed wire. Some landmines, perhaps might be a good option as well to deter the unwanted guests. When the thug finally became unconscious, Matthew looked around, at the others.
Just how was he going to save himself this time?

"You know you won't succeed at this, right?" asked Matthew, panting as he shifted once more into his stance. Typically he hated having to beat someone up as badly as he was about to beat up the mountain of a man who was approaching him. The man wore a graffiti'd version of Storm Trooper Armor and apparently had once been a Storm Trooper but now was not. Of course, that was not the primary concern Matthew had about the individual. No, the Primary Concern he had about said individual was the huge axe the guy was holding in his hands, that was glowing like a laser sword was... Oh hell no. He was not going to allow himself even a brief moment of contact with that. Judging from the looks of it alone, the axe could probably sever his limbs from his body....easily.
"I think you'll find you'll get the point, quite quickly," said the huge giant of a man as he swung the axe at Matthew. Matthew dropped the fighting sticks, and did an acrobatic maneuver, a flip over the head of the guy, coming down behind him. "Recognize these?" asked Matthew, having summoned the Wrist Guns and fired at the spine of the guy, bringing him down to the ground in pain. When he was done, Matthew kicked him sharply. And kept kicking him, until he became unconscious, and thus couldn't put up a fight anymore. Okay, he was definitely turning this guy over to the Empire, seeing if there was not a bounty or something on the head of the guy in the armor that he had found him wearing. The others wisely started to retreat, but Matthew was not having it. They had come to his property and invaded. The repairs were going to take him at least an hour, maybe more to repair the ruined parts of the property that were now riddled with bullets and other projectiles the individuals had seen fit to fire on his lawn. Oh yes, there was going to be a reckoning for the individuals.
Painfully slowly, Matthew began walking towards the individuals. Oh yes, there was most certainly going to be a reckoning for the remaining home wreckers. Building the place as much as he had had been a pain to the young Mcginnis, and he really hated the idea of building it anew. More than likely he was going to have to do exactly that, however. Even without the ability to zoom his vision around, Matthew could tell from just this section of his house... the whole place needed maintenance. Upon knocking out and tying up the last of the thugs with some ropes made out of Omnilium, well more like steel cords instead of rope Matthew groaned. What he really needed was someone to help him guard this place. He was exhausted.

"Damn it," said Matthew as he noticed another group of thugs approaching, riding on an armored truck with a heavy laser cannon on it. There was no way he was sticking around to get blasted by that thing if he could avoid it. It was time he pulled out of Tier Five until he was stronger, and learned more skills. More allies were also welcome. What he was going to have to do was go recruiting, because this Tier couldn't be saved otherwise by him. In addition his arsenal needed an overhaul because of how much he had to carry around and use. Truly he had a lot to learn. Making a beeline out of there, Matthew was running at his max speed and flipping and performing acrobatic maneuvers so they couldn't get a lock onto him with the cannon.
"BOOM!" was heard by Matthew, as his base was blasted to rubble by the individuals with the laser cannon. There went his home and so now the young Mcginnis possessed nowhere that he could call his own. Eventually he could find somewhere, he knew. But not yet. Not while he needed a new look for himself, and new equipment atop that, to add to his playbook so he could fight more effectively in this situation. When he found whoever sold the laser cannon to the idiots, oh yes, Matthew and the individual were going to have words. Most of the words of the individual were going to be...screams though, because Matthew wasn't happy.
After about 2 hours, he finally made his way to Tier 1.
