The City of the Future
#1
Dr. Doom was escorted through the gate by another half of the stromtrooper forces that took his ally Koal Lynch. Doom did not trust what Koal had said, if he was truly wanted by this Empire then they wouldn't deal with him politely. The possibility they could do to him were endless, this Empire could execute him or even imprison him. Koal was no use to Doctor Doom dead or imprisoned, Koal is useful if they are to create another Latveria or even the Cabal but none the less Koal's demise will not stop Doom's rise back to power.

Dr. Doom's mouth dropped in awe under his metal mask as he and the white armored stromtrooper entered into the verse. Doom was almost overwhelmingly astonished by what stood before him. Large buildings and towers touched the very heavens, flying vehicles trafficking and zipping the rest of the skyline. The city itself had a low glow to it from all the city lights, vehicles, and buildings. This was all impressive the entire city was of the future, it was perhaps a world Doom could have created if it wasn't for the meddling of the Fantastic Four and the other so called heroes such as the Avengers. Doom and stormtroopers had seemed to be standing in a form of a platform clearing, probably set up for if there was a need for a clear and open path for other that entered or left this verse, scorch marks from a recent battle could  clearly be seen on the metal ground. Doom could see that out side the platform clearing, there was a city street plaza if it wasn't for the fact that they were in the city during night time, the place would be crawling with people.

Victor and the stomtroopers had all came to a stop, the soldiers were communicating amongst themselves, probably to decide what they should do with the good Doctor. Doom only stood beside them perplexed in silence, thinking of what to do next.

This city of the future is inspiring  a testament to what the power of Doom could even achieve, for I Doctor Doom have no bounders no limits and not even failure shall stop me, the only thing that could ever stop Doom's almighty rise to ultimate power shall be death itself. Following my masterful plan to create a nigh unstoppable Cabal I shall look for those who are considered the detergents of this society, perhaps there are those who will join Doom in the quest for undeniable  power. My built in scanners in my armor also indicate that my loyal Doombot is somewhere below these city limits, perhaps it has found something of use to the one and only DOCTOR DOOM.

Doom took a few steps his armored feet clanking against the metal ground he stood upon. Doom was quickly stopped before he could get away from the troopers. A few of them seemed to be carrying something that resembled scanners in their hands. They pointed the gun like scanners at the monarch and began to scan Doom.

"Sorry sir, but this is orders." One of troopers rasped through his white helmet.

Once the scan was complete a few of the troopers analysed the results, a few of them starred at the results confused.

"In the name of Malachor what is built in your armor?" One of the troopers ask.

Doom only folded his arms, waiting for the response for him to leave.

"Welcome to Coruscant, your free to leave if you want and if you have any questions ask now before you leave."

Dr. Doom's brown eyes meet the troopers helmet showing only a cold calculating stare that felt as if death would take his soul at the very moment.

"Before Doom takes his leave where might Doom find the so called ruffians of this verse?"

"You want to find criminals? you must be ether crazy of a hero type." The trooper retorted in a confused tone.

Doom gave a small chuckle. "You can say that Doom is something like that, now I ask again where might I find people such as those."

The Stormtrooper straightened up and pointed to what looked like an elevator in the plaza. "That lift can take you to tier five... That's where you'll find criminals and such."

With the trooper giving Doom the knowledge he needed he proceeded for the elevator.

"Doom bids you all a farewell and prey that we never meet again."

Dr. Doom silently stepped into the tier one elevator his armored feet carried a light metal ping at his every step. His stance of power was still unchanged from the moment he had entered this Omniverse and nor should it, to all that is unknown to Doom must see that he is a force to be reckoned with. A mad man by the name of Ulysses Klaw once told him "You narrate your life as you go along, don't you? Are you being tapped?" Dr. Doom the worlds smartest man replied with his excellent brilliance. "Why, Yes! Every utterance of Doom must be recorded for posterity." Doom compared to the others of his world and beings of other worlds is only minuscule to the brilliance that Doom is, without effort Doom could rule the world and no one would dare to challenge his power.

Once in the elevator Doom took a second to scan its command console before pressing the button that would send him to where he needed to be, Coruscant's tier five. The fifth tier supposedly was the home of the more rougher habitats of the mega-city, so Doom only expected the worst of the city a mere slum or shanty town perhaps even worse, a festering pool of crime and gangs. These thoughts were all to familiar it is a reminder of Earth.

The elevator gave a light jolt before closing its steel doors and propelling itself downward. On cue music started to play from the elevator speakers as cliche and laughable as it is the music it played was light jazz.

"Now that Doom is free of those halfwits guarding to those upper tiers, Doom can now proceed with plans. My armors built in scanner detect that the mere Doombot that was sent to  aid in my research of this Omniverse is located somewhere in this tier five of this verse. Those who have wrongly stolen my property shall feel the wrath of Victor Von Doom!"

The elevator continued down  its narrow shaft before swinging open with a ding. Doom marched out of the elevator into the city streets and studied the surrounding area of tier five. It was still a mega-city for sure but from Doom's expectations the tier was littered with graffiti and trash festered every corner. This tier five is the Empire that resides here stops patrolling, this is honesty a sign of depression, a real and true near perfect society would have all parts of its community in peace and prosperity, this in itself is a weakness. Continuing his observation there were of course buildings all across the tier, they resembled the look of downtown New York city, a place sometimes riddled with crime which in this tier could be seen directly in the open. Cars were also jam pack from all across eyes could see. Dr. Doom's study of the verse came to a stop once his brown dominate eyes found what looks to be a staircase leading to a subway system.

Not wasting his time Doom made his down the stairs and into the subsystem, Doom marched through the deep dark underground hallways which were only illuminated by light posts that had seemed to be wielded on the metal wall. Dr. Doom eventually came across one of the trams cars and quickly entered it picking out a spot that was close to the trains door so he could make a quick exit for when his sensors told him that he was close to what he was looking for.

Dr. Doom stood out from all the other people in the subway train, the aliens and humans that filled the car did not where armor like he did nor did they have the look of power as Doom always shows. So it came to not surprise that Dr. Doom was given awkward looks as he stood in the subway train awaiting for his stop.

An hour passed before his armors built in sensors told Doom that he was near his target. Without a second thought Doom opened that trains steel double doors as it was still moving and jumped off. Doom gracefully and luckily landed onto a subway station check point. The Latverian monarch paced through the check point heading up a flight of stairs and back into the streets  shoving anyone who got in his and didn't care to move. Dr. Doom's sensors lead him to a small garage, Doom silently opened the garage's door and tried his best to sneak around the many alien workers, the workers themselves resembled the look of a small bear or a child's toy. The inside of the garage looked as if it were for cars but the entire building was filled with robots and other machines, something shady was definitely going on in this building, perhaps these aliens could work for Doom but there would be a cost but again Doom needs men for his Cabal and the soon to constructed new Latveria.

Chipra the Ewok gangster was busy not to notice Dr. Doom towering behind him. The Ewok was prying out the Doombot head piece to see if he could find out what its last moments were. Opening the Doombot's metal cranium Chipra pulled out a small chip and gasped.

"It's... It's."  The Ewok couldn't find his words.

"A tracking device indeed."  Doom answered for him folding his metal arms.

Chipra turned startled dropping the tool in his hand.

"Who- Who are you?"

Doom clinched his right metal fist pointing at the Ewok.

"SILENCE! I am Doctor Doom and that is not what matters at this current passing of time. You have stolen my property and are horrifically dismantling my perfect creation. Enlighten Doom on why your child's toy self should not be vaporized from the face of this reality?"

Chirpa the Ewok is very old. He had seen empires rise and fall. He had walked and talked among gods and heroes, new primes and old. And he was alive.

The gangster that looked like nothing more than a child's stuffed toy smiles warmly at Doctor Doom across from his workbench.

"Well," says the Ewok cautiously, moving slowly to sit back on his stool. "First I would have to point it out that your magnificent creation, as beautiful as it is terrible to behold, was merely salvaged from dangerous thieves looking to profit from it in the most barbaric fashion. Secondly, I would have to admit that I dismantled it to gain a true understanding of it's genius. As awed as I was at this work of deadly art, I found that to truly appreciate it I must fully understand it. Alas, my folly is that of Prometheus before me, who stole the fire of the gods and was tortured the rest of his days. Is that you, Doctor Doom? Are you the god that would punish man for taking his light?"

Crouched behind a battered SUV in the back of Chirpa's garage, Dr. Linda Himes watches the exchange, trembling.

Doctor Doom crosses his arms and examines the Ewok more closely.

"Flattery will get you nowhere," Doctor Doom says through his strange mask. But he does not kill him.

"Then to address your last point," Chirpa says, removing his glasses and leaning back in his chair. "You might suffer me to live, Doctor, because you used a 6 DeckaOm Regulator for a 14 DeckaOM droid. Because your OM Distributor, your 'plasma cannon', is converting OM at a rate of 12LPD. I've managed to get that up too 13.5LPD without even using your regulator."

"What," says Doctor Doom, in a dangerously annoyed voice dripping with venom. "Is a 'Decka Om'?"

Dr. Linda Himes takes a deep breath, and rises from her hiding spot.

"The Decka OM is an OM Measurement according to the Imperial Standard," says the beautiful blonde doctor as she walks the length of the garage. Doom watches her silently as she approaches. "LPD is Lethality-Per-DeckaOM. It is how we measure the efficiency of a weapon. Your droid might have been powerful, but it was ineffective. It was made without an understanding of Omniphysics."

"Omniphysics," Doctor Doom repeats with incredulity. Linda and Chirpa nod. "Doctor Doom has a greater understanding of the universe than Galactus, do not peddle me your psuedoscientific babble, it will not save you."

"I have no doubt you do," says Chirpa quietly. "However, you might remember that this is not, in fact, the universe."

Doctor Doom pauses.

"You say you have made Doom's weapons deadlier," he says. "Without using more power. Show me."

Chirpa smiles. He points to several computer monitors, streaming a live battle. Doctor Doom watches closely

Doctor Doom observes a raid on a Tier-6 manufacturing plant silently. He watches the largest monitor, showing a live stream direct from the eyes of Chirpa's modified Destroyer droid. From this view he can see B-1 battledroids shooting blasters desperately at the Destroyer.

The Destroyer is laying down heavy suppression fire from a modified version of the Doombot's plasma cannon while a pair of elven gangsters pick off the B-1 guards with exploding arrows.

On another, smaller monitor, Doctor Doom can see through the eyes of one of Chirpa's modified B-1 droid. The droid kicks open a door to a computer control room and drops three of his unmodified counterparts with short plasma blasts, and a strange creature walks in behind the droid; a Poliwhirl. The pokemon quickly gets to work, using his cartoony hands to start typing on the computer.

The smaller monitors show the security camera inside the plant, going down one by one. Doctor Doom's gaze flicks from one to another as the camera show a brief flash of a horrible centipede-like droid before turning to white static. Where the centipede-like droid runs into guards, it make short work of them.

On the largest monitor, Doctor Doom watches the Destroyer droid and the elves mowing down the B-1 droid guards, keeping their backs to a steel door, and doom realizes they are guarding the Pokemon.

Doom watches as Poliwhirl types furiously within the control room.

Chirpa the Ewok taps one of the monitors, drawing Doctor Doom's attention. Chirpa's strangest droid, the disgusting centipede-like handmade robot named Daryll, is waiting patiently in front of a thick steel door.

The Polywhirl finishes typing and runs out of the control room as the door opens in front of Daryl. The strange droid rushes inside to a hail of blaster fire, and video is lost.

A crackle of radio static echos around Chirpa's garage.

"Strike Team Primus, mission accomplished," comes a pretty voice, probably from a blonde elf.

Chirpa presses a button on a walky-talky and responds, "Big Teddy, I copy. Proceed to Extraction Point Zeta."

"What?" comes a pissy voice, probably from a blood elf.

Chirpa sighs. "The white Toyota on Boromir Avenue."

"Copy," comes the pissy voice.

Dr Linda Himes trembles but does not edge away from Doctor Doom. Chirpa gives a sigh of relief and stares at the floor. After a few tense moments, Doom speaks in his strange voice.

"You will create more Doombots for Doctor Doom," he says flatly, crossing his arms.

Chirpa smiles.

"I am honored in your confidence," he says kindly. "But I would need supplies, tech, and power that I just don't have."

Doom tilts his head to the side slightly. "Then your offenses outweigh your usefulness," he says softly. His eyes start to glow.

Chirpa shrugs. "Destroy me if you must, Doctor Doom, but I AM the key to your army. My boys can make your Doombots faster and quieter than anyone in Corruscant. I just need a few things, and you can get them."

The super villain's eyes dull. "What exactly do you require?"

The old furry alien gave a large grin that covered his entire face and adjusted himself in his wooden chair.

Doom could sense that Chipra had use in his grand schemes. Chipra had already proven that he was a capable tinkerer, not a whole lot of people in Doom's universe and possibly others could tamper with Doom's masterful creations and make them even more grand then they already were before. This in on itself was a colossal achievement for the old alien, it was even enough to give favor in the ever onward shaping plans of Dr. Doom.

Doom to an extent was a generous and merciful man, but at the points when men and beast proved themselves worthy of it. The mercy of Doom was a hard thing to gain but Doom's generosity was even harder. Those who have not received the metal boot of Doom, soon realize the sole monarch of Latveria is kind man who follows a strict honor code. The heroes of Victor Von Doom's Earth called him a tyrant but their blind arrogance dose not let them see that his people love him, not because he is to be feared but because he was their savor and proud ruler. The people of Latveria no longer had to fear a ruler that practiced ethnic cleansing and harsh, cruel punishment and it was all thanks to Victor Von Doom.

Thinking and choosing carefully what to say Chipra spoke the latverian ruler with respect in his tone.

"What I require to re-craft your art work of a machine, are mere supplies such as parts, gears,  metal, but most importantly an energy source." Chipra paused to take a breath and allow Doom to process the information he was given. "The energy source is the most crucial part of creating your new Doombots, if they do not have the specific one that I and my men need, then they will not be a powerful as you want them to be."

Doom gave a stern but dull look at the furry Ewok, Dr. Doom was slowly beginning to grow board of the aliens simple instruction and need.

"What is this energy source that you require me to specifically attain, so that my new Doombots can be further formidable?" Dr. Doom said in a rather board but serous tone.

"The power source that we're looking for are called blue mana balls they are what will give your Doombots more power."

Dr. Doom folded his metal arms, massive size dwarfing both Chipra and Dr. Himes. Even if he was not in his universe the good doctor was still a living, breathing titan, a force to be reckoned with. Soon or perhaps in the future, the heroes of Earth will know that their victory over him was a miniscule piece in a bigger puzzle.

"It is most fortunate that your skills are of use to the smartest man the multiverse has ever seen." Doom's voice boomed with arrogance and the advantage he had over the two of them.

Raising his armored right arm Dr. Doom began to press a series of buttons on his wrist until Chipras computer monitors uploaded files that he was sending.

"So I shall indulge in your game of fetch and aid you in your way of creating my latest and finest creation of my Doombots. I have already uploaded blueprints of my Doombots but I have also uploaded several other templates for other creations I have in store."

Doom took a moment to let Chipra pull his wooden chair back up close to his computer, he was eager to learn of what other stuff that Dr. Doom had created. Doom quickly glanced at Doctor Himes who was still trembling from his sheer presence, Doom then pointed at Chipra with one of his metal hands.

"But know this! If there is any suspected treachery or even the slightest hint of falsely hood in your skills, then you will ultimately pay the price for wasting the precocious time of Doctor Doom."

The old alien turned giving a slight nod to show his understanding.

"You'll find the parts and supplies that were looking for in a factory/warehouse in tier seven of this verse. I would warn you though that part of Coruscant is one of the most dangerous places to be. I suggest bring my men or others to help you with the raid on one of the Imperial factories."

Doom's brown eyes under his mask dulled and slightly showed a bit of anger. The idea of someone helping Doctor Doom was near repulsive, but in the current conundrum he is in, he needed it. Victor knew exactly the person he needed besides finding others, he needs Koal.

"Your warning and advice has been noted, gather able men for Doom shall return by the hour. Farewell for now Mr. Chipra and Mrs. Himes, pray that you are right in your decision or soon you shall both face the wrath of DOCTOR DOOM."
