I never much understood that myself. I can understand not liking PvP, but why bother with a large scale storyline with competitive elements if you're looking to avoid conflict?
That said, Option D DOES have PvP, in theory. Someone like Enel or Cell are more likely to eliminate others than to work with them, for example.
