Descent into Darkness
#21
He knew that he probably should have told Celestia from the beginning his relationship with Sombra, he knew it made him look like he was hiding some malicious intent but the truth had been he was filled only with curiosity. He was sure to explain everything to the both of them as soon as this beast was finished with and they had time to think of things other then threats to their lives.

Revan forced the creatures claws down but it seemed it was incredibly strong and holding its arm in place for a few seconds was taking all his strength. The creatures hot breath washed over him as the creature considered the idea of chomping down on his head, luckily Revan had his friends to back him up.

The creature suddenly howled in pain as Revan felt heat emanating from behind the creature, struggling to look past the creatures large open maw of teeth he could see that Celestia quite simply cooked the beasts back hide. He then quickly dodged a shard of crystal that nearly went through his own head before slamming into the head of the creature still struggling against him.

"Plans?" Revan asked not really having many plans himself, though he knew Sombra was quite the busy pony.

Breaking off from the creatures claws he brought his sword up once more before he turned it downward thrusting down into the creatures hard flesh that seemed to act as natural armour. The creature then fell to the ground from the damage that had been dealt by the three primes,as it silently lay on the ground bits of its flesh began to seep off forming into black tendrils that seemed to have a life of their own that latched onto the white floor of the Nexus.

"That seems bad, Celestia you don't mind dealing with these tendrils would you?" Revan did not really want to use the term of burning the body but when creepy dangerous tendrils were around they had best be careful.

Revan did take a few moments to look over the creature though just to double check it was not one from the Moors which it definitely was not. He looked around wondering where the creature had come from but before he could ask more questions a lone human figure emerged also moving towards them at a speedy pace.

"Please not again." He said originally believing he had gotten used to everything trying to kill him, clearly he was wrong.

The lone figure was dressed in white and black combat armour and had a face covered in a helmet, all of it looked very advanced especially the strange weapon that the man held that did not look like any weapon he had seen before. The scout looked over the dead creature though any hint of emotion was hidden behind the helmets black visor.

"You have done well." Said the scout sticking his arm into the creatures body that was fast turning into more black tendrils becoming a sort of mass of slmey black goo.

The man pulled out what looked like some sort of small device, Revan had no idea what it was but it was not long before it was passed to him. The scout looked all three over examining them as much as he had done the device a moment before.

"That is a dark chip, it gave the creature great power, I warn you do not use it yourself it could have dangerous unforeseen consequences." The scout strapped the weapon back over his arm clearly ready to move on.

"Doctor Regal will be expecting you in his lab on Coruscant to help hunt down these creatures and defeat Nebula." The scout then handed him something that looked similar to the technology he had used to form his communicator, cold metal with a glass surface.

The scout moved away running for some unknown destination, Revan considered stopping him but then decided to turn to the pad in his hand. Tapping it with his finger another bright light shine in his eyes as a blue screen appeared with words written on it.

The words were limited but it seemed to mostly explain how to get to Coruscant, where the lab was located and showed pictures of the chip and the creature they had fought as well as a man he could only presume was doctor Regal.

"Do either of you two know how to work this thing?" He asked turning back to the two ponies that were probably as confused as he was.

Looking over in his other hand the dark chip he considered what to do with it, despite its name he doubted that Sombra would know what to do with it, instead he turned to Celestia wondering what she would do with it.

"Celestia would you like to hold onto this?" He asked knowing she would be more hesitant to use it out of the three of them.

"I think we should go to this place called Coruscant and find this doctor Regal, either of you know the location of Coruscant?" He was still a bit unsure of how to find his way around the Nexus but he was learning fast.

The prospect of Sombra having plans to interrupt was of slight concern to Celestia, it was something she may have to look into later.  But she could agree with him on once thing, this creature would need to be slain.  It was clear that there would be no conversing with it.  Either it had been driven beyond all reason, or it had never possessed any in the first place.  In any case, slaying it would be the only way to prevent future harm it might cause.

For however much of a risk it might represent however, it was still outnumbered, and by three beings who all had significant combat experience no less.  It went down easily enough.  Celestia didn't even need to contribute much beyond her initial distraction.  She fired off a few more rays into the creature's side, as a token effort to keep it's attention divided, but Revan and Sombra were able to finish the creature of easily enough.

With the creature defeated, it haphazardly dissolved into a fragmented black mass, which Revan asked Celestia to deal with.  Celestia was hesitant at first, lacking the set of tools she usually had for safely removing corrupt energies, but it didn't last long.  Of the three, even in her limited state she was likely the best equipped to deal with the stuff.  “Yes, I believe I had better.”  She got to work.  Her solution was precisely applied, extreme heat, burning away first the outside edges and working slowly inward.

Celestia continued the unpleasant but necessary work, even as they were approached by another figure, this time an armoured humanoid.  Unlike the previous being though, this one was able to talk, and even seemed to prefer it.  The figure congratulated the trio on bringing down the beast.  It presented... something to them, retrieved from the creature's bowels, handing it to Revan who in turn passed it on to Celestia.  She took the item gingerly in her telekinesis.  Once again, she wished she'd remained better equipped to deal with such things, but of the three she was still probably in the best position to react to it if the thing started behaving strangely.  The armoured figure finished by explaining that a Dr. Regal would be awaiting them on Coruscant, as he was dealing with more creatures similar to this one, before it left to presumably track down others.

Revan felt they should pay this Dr. Regal a visit, but was unsure where Coruscant was.  Celestia squinted at the gates in the distance, what she remembered from the Omniverse primer at the forefront of her mind.  Eventually she pointed toward one of them with her hoof.  “That one should take us to Coruscant, if I've identified it correctly.”  She began to walk that direction.

Sombra had to admit that he didn't want to go back to Coruscant, because of how much it had disabled him. The Technology that was possessed by the world of Coruscant had blinded and distracted him. Unused to such things, Sombra admitted to himself that he was having a hard time adapting to the technology and equipment of the Omniverse. The Omniverse was a place with a lot of things that Sombra didn't entirely understand. Of course, he knew Celestia was likely to attempt to interrupt and ruin any plans that he had for himself. But right now his plans had changed drastically. For the creatures that were spawned out of those dark chips, or whatever they were called were a problem. This was why he couldn't allow Revan to continue tampering with it. It was somewhat worrisome especially if it could allow creatures of darkness like that one to find them. Battling a large number was going to be problematic, given how little he had been able to do to just one of them. What he needed to do was become stronger.

Seeing Celestia head to Coruscant he started trotting at a brisk pace to keep up with her.  "Before you to go to the world of Coruscant, know this Celestia. The world is technologically ahead of what we are capable of, or used to. Those creatures will likely infest that world, so we must prepare ourselves to fight the creatures."  Sombra said this with a sigh, scowling. He was irritated about the entire situation. Whoever had spawned the "darkness" that infested the creature they had dispatched, Sombra knew he was going to have to kill them. There could be only one overlord of the place after all. And by all that was dark, and powerful it was going to be him that ruled the Omniverse.

"We must prepare tactics, and plans. Even if one of us dies, we must carry on. For the creatures cannot be allowed to overrun the Omniverse or anywhere else..." said Sombra.

Luckily for Revan it seemed that the two ponies knew exactly where Coruscant was which would have surprised him had he not gotten to know that they could be quite knowledgable when it came to finding their way around. He was completely open to helping this doctor Regal it would be silly not to do so I felt they wanted help in the future escaping the Omniverse or otherwise.

He followed along silently behind the two ponies studying the way they spoke to each other. Despite the two being seemingly originally distrusting of one another Sombra seemed eager to talk Celestia ear off though perhaps that was just cause they were both of the same kind. Of course Revan had to admire that after all he couldn't exactly walk up to a human and expect to get along.

He managed to overhear some of the things Sombra was saying though it was not anything he did not exactly already know. He was well aware from the scout that the people of Coruscant had great technology the question was how useful would it be to them, could it help them achieve victory if there was victory to be had.

"I hope it won't come to us dying and those things will not be allowed to continue." Revan was not going to allow Celestial or Sombra to suffer what's he had gone through even if it mean't going through it again.

Who knew what secrets that Coruscant would reveal to them. Who knew just what it could offer them in the future if this doctor Regal introduced them to certain technologies.
