Hours had passed, and Morene eventually found herself treading back to the Nexus where she started to make plans. The rather interesting Empire soldier was nowhere to be found, and Morene painstakingly realized that was the second person she's really met in the Omniverse whom happened to disappear all of a sudden.
Worse yet, whatever the Empire could have possibly wanted, they had no leads. The Moors was the most obvious place to go going by description, but...
Honestly, Morene only wanted to go there because it sounded homey, eerily similar to her previous living quarters in Creedhallow back at her homeworld. Everything seemed to match up; the monsters, trees, grassy plains and even the rather fearful denizens. But, that wasn't too important at the moment, considering she had to get there first.
Sweet memories flashed from the back of her head as soon as she thought back to Creedhallow, and how much people had trusted Morene there. It took a while, but... Being the first real place she had a reputation, it made her feel warm to know she was capable of changing things. The huntress could only hope the Omniverse would allow her to do the same, considering nothing she's seen so far has really surprised her too much.
Morene felt the ground shake beneath her, whatever ground there was to speak of. She looked ahead in the direction of the Fountain she had seemingly popped into existence from. She could very definitely see explosions, and... usually she'd want to investigate, but she already knew whatever was happening over there was very much so out of her control. Hopefully Omni wasn't lying about what he said about "not fearing death."
Rubbing at one of her eyes, Morene sighed. The temptation was definitely there to simply glide in the general direction of the fountain, but she knew even then the fight would be over, if it even IS a fight. Perhaps it's somebody testing their powers?
Either way, Morene knew she couldn't stay long. Looking at the Nexus for so many hours convinced the huntress that if she'd do it any longer, insanity would ensue.
In reality however, the woman was just tired again. It wasn't the worst feeling in the world, but... She'd really need to get a good night's sleep soon. The huntress continued to walk until her feet began to numb slightly; a feeling she wasn't entirely alien to, but here it felt insufferable. Morene wasn't exactly sure why either. It's not like she's gone for weeks without sleep in the past, as much as she hates to bring back the memory.
Especially the bits about being trapped inside of a magically impervious horrific mansion in the middle of almost literally nowhere back on Teria, Morene thought, but soon digressed shaking her head.
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to immediately head for the Moors if sleeping was the first thing she'd want to do, but she already knew her plans would probably be cut short sooner or later.
Omni had his ways, after all.

Continuing to walk forward, Morene's sensitive eardrums shook with the sounds of explosions and shrapnel, the ground gently shaking soon afterwards. Her gut sank, looking at the direction of the fountain.
Red mist began flying from some of the bodies on the floor, or at least as far as Morene could see. The huntress' heart sank. She had no idea what was going on, but she had hoped what Lex, the strange Empire soldier she had met a few hours ago was correct on his claims that Primes could come back from the dead.
If those even were Primes, that is.
Slowly, Morene watched as two figures left the scene, Lex popping back up in her memory again. The woman felt as if she forgot something, even though she couldn't help but feel as if the situation unfolding in front of the Fountain was slightly more important. Wanting to direct her attention to the more concerning sight of men and women dying in a brutal barrage of lead, Morene suddenly remembered Lex telling her of this 'Dataverse device' he wanted her to use to keep in contact with.
Looking down, she had to wonder, how?
In a pinch, Morene looked back up at the Fountain, shaking her head, jogging forward in hopes she'd get to somebody that was still alive there, but... At one point, she realized it was futile.
Shakily, the huntress sighed to herself, slowing back down. Looking at her gloved palms, she continued to think of Lex's advice, or at least the bit of it she could remember while the two of them were still in Coruscant.
Reaching back into her memory, Morene eventually remembered Lex saying something about being able to summon objects with this strange Omnilium energy granted to her. But again, the question remained.
How? She continued to ponder. Almost losing her footing looking down at her hands, the woman felt a very sudden urge to close her eyes and focus in, almost as if she saw something important.
Her temples strained slightly. She wasn't sure why, but... Her hands begun to shake. Morene asked herself what such a device would look like. A tablet of sorts, perhaps? Yes, a portable tablet of some sorts, that would be easy to carry around. Feeling even more tired than she was previously, Morene could feel something weighty within her hands. Her ears rung, and she felt a solid object form within her palms.
The woman's eyes were opened for a single femtosecond, and she already realized what was going on. She looked down, a faint glow of colorful energy forming what looked to be a portable tablet with a touch-screen on the front.
"Ohhh," Morene mumbled, "it's a second nature ability, of sorts..."
Figuring out that she now had a presumably expensive piece of technology in her hands, Morene quickly looked for a pocket big enough for the device. Looking back up as she opened a pouch that fit, the huntress saw as the two figures leaving the scene, the one whom fired those barrage of what looked to be bullets was already headed for a portal to leave the area.
She squinted, trying to figure out where he was headed exactly. There's no way she could completely ignore this situation. Wherever this person or thing was going, she'd have to follow.
As the daughter of the Fellon family told herself, 'twas her duty to protect, after all.

Still following the Primes to the Gates of what seemed to go right back to Coruscant, Morene watched as they slowly stepped in. The huntress sighed, not in the mood at all to pick up her pace. In the few short minutes that followed, Morene had stopped ripping wires from her wrists to pull herself forward, finding it too tiring for the laziness she felt at the current moment.
Wasn't exactly healthy of her, no, but the woman never did like to backtrack. Either way, Morene continued to check her flanks instinctively, not expecting to find anybody or anything tailing her whatsoever in this plane of white nothingness. A few vague blobs of color moved around here and there behind her; Primes coming out of the fountain for the first time as she did recently. The way this realm was organized and how it enforced it's rules was still a strange concept to Morene.
Of course, Morene didn't expect to find anything coming at her from behind, but she certainly didn't expect anything coming at her from the front. Emerging from the Gates of Coruscant miles off in the distance, the huntress had watched as what she assumed to be a Prime crawl out onto the floor. Perhaps it was just short, but whatever it was, Morene noticed very quickly how it was closing in on her ever so slowly.
The woman continued to walk, hesitantly. Usually she'd walk to the side in a situation like this to see if she was being followed, but the environment that Morene found herself in didn't allow for it. Not as if she needed to confirm anything either; the figure presented itself as some sort of creature to Morene, dashing forwards on all fours. Faintly, she could hear loud snarling in the distance, seeming to echo along with the Nexus.
Morene squinted. A tiny, awkward smile widened on her face as she saw a few Stormtroopers coming out of the Gates, following the strange creature now heading towards the Prime.
This'll be an interesting change of plans, Morene thought.
Now that the weird, pale-skinned animal was in decent shooting range, Morene had taken her rifle out of the air like it was nothing, as she was used to back in her home lands. She was surprised for a second, but not long enough for the creature's loud growling and howling to become annoying. Not yet.
Aiming quickly, Morene flipped open her sights and ripped apart the cryptid's ankles in four quick bursts of lead, it's blood coming up in a strangely colored mist. Almost... black, or purple. A little bit of red in there too, but unhealthily dark. Morene was thankful that this wasn't just some insane human coming after her that she had to pump an entire magazine of bullets into. Putting her trust in the frantic guardsmen in white now looking at each other in tad confusion, the huntress lowered her weapon, however they did not.
As for the thing now writing in anger and frustration on the floor, Morene took her time closing the twenty or so meters between it and her, knowing it wasn't going anywhere. The thing was feisty however, seeing as Morene had to narrowly avoid a pair of strange looking claws slashing at her feet as soon as she got in melee range of whatever this weird anomaly was that she shot.
Unfortunately for it, Morene's two steel toed boots had already slammed down on the creature's strangely proportioned wrists, if you could even call them that.
A horrible screech filled the air, and the Stormtroopers quickly came forward upon hearing the sound. Of course, Morene didn't let the strange cryptid move other than annoyingly fast squirming as it tried to release itself from beneath her. Before taking her eyes off of it, she noticed it's... very weird looking face.
Well, weird to her. This would be pretty scary to the average person, Morene thought. Or hoped. The creature's face had three, twisted holes on what would be it's forehead, and both of it's cheeks. As if it were trying to form a symbol, these open pores didn't have what looked to be flesh beneath them; only a dark abyss, even in the presence of light. It was very oddly symmetrical, as if it was done on purpose. Done, implying this creature wasn't always like this, if the huntress had to guess.
Either way, Morene looked up at the two Stormtroopers approaching her, their weapons lowered now, knowing whatever this thing was, it was no longer a threat. Or, it would be, if the weirdo Prime looking at it mesmerized wasn't stomping on it's figurative fingers at the moment, almost literal fingers if it had any to speak of.
...
Silence.
"Um," one of the Stormtroopers uttered, "you... uh. Stand back, citizen, we'll take care of... this..."
Morene snorted almost immediately, though the two could barely hear it over the daemonic screeching. Adorable! He was so flustered.
The huntress couldn't blame him, though, whoever this man was. This was quite a strange sight to behold, and Morene figured if she stayed in this one spot any longer, she'd look like a loony. Quickly pulling out her shortsword from behind her back, the other Stormtrooper flinched as Morene stabbed directly into the perfectly artistically molded face of the creature beneath her, not a single sound coming out of it afterwards, only a very rancid smelling, pus-like substance.
Like a reasonable human being, Morene quickly hopped backwards in a bit of disgust. Awkwardly, she turned to both of the soldiers.
"So, you two know what this anomalous creature of the night could be identified as?" Morene asked, trying her best to give them a reason to talk.
Of course, they obliged. Getting to the point, albeit nervously at first, both Stormtroopers whom refused to identify themselves referred the Prime back to Coruscant, where strange events related to these creatures, varied in shapes in sizes, were popping up in remote locations around the Verse, and supposedly other places as well. With the 'exposition' out of the way, Morene thanked the two men, gave the Empire her regards knowing that she could trust them in her endeavors, and headed off to the city planet.
More specifically, headed off to the lab of Dr. Regal, whom the Stormtroopers vaguely referred to when asked about their knowledge of these strange creatures, telling Morene that the man would definitely have more information readily available about this rising problem that the Empire unfortunately couldn't take care of.
In Morene's head, the man looked sophisticated, yet worried. Not knowing how much that was true, she left the body of the melting Darkling and it's Darkchip behind her, knowing not of the danger she left behind.
