Finneas yawned before blushing heavily, realizing that Kyda was still leaning on his chest, he small frame softly moving as she took each breath. He gave a low exhale as he softly picked her up and set her aside, a small wet spot on hsi shirt where he can assume she most lilkely drooled slightly. However, Finneas took almost no notice, instead his panic overriding his senses as he set her down. He had been a bit too tired last night to really think through having a woman in his bed, but after thinking about it for a few moments and calming himselff down, he remembered that he needed to keep in mind that Kyda wasn't accustomed to society like he was. He gave a light sigh before deciding to head out into the lab and kitchen.
He yawned one more time, just before opening a cupboard from what one could assume to be potion ingredients. Until he began to grab a bowl anbd mix various items in it, starting to make a meal. He pulled out several different covered eggs, some even with odd looking patterns and shapes as he cracked them open and stirred them in the bowl. He added a pinch of different spices, adding a nice and thick consistency to the mixture before pouring what almost appeared to be pink milk into the bowl. A flutter whizzed by Finn's ear and he turned to see that Nyx was already up with him. He wandered around the counter to a small pair of circles where he looked through, seeing a light greyish blue sky.
"Just a tad buit before Daybreak, eh Nyx? Didn't know you could wake up so early."
The bird chirped as it watches the flame haired alchemist "brew" breakfast, getting a few more bowls of different ingredients before holind the egg mixture in his hands. He began to use his abilities to give it a soft glow, softly saying a few words as the bowl heated and began to cook. The smell of breakfast soon filled the air and Finneas heard something stir in the bedroom, just before there was a loud buyt cute yawn.
"Seems to be that she's finally up, isn't she Nyx, feel like fetching her while I prepare the plates?"
The bird seemed to understand as it chirped and flew towards the bedroom, Finneas hearing a groggy response from a barely awake Kyda.
He chuckled as he finalized the plates, setting them on the table and grabbing a few drinks when he heard footsteps come his way. He looked up as he held two cups of orange juice in his hand, a smile on his face. Kyda's hair was frizzled as she wiped her eyes, yawning again.
"Good morning, I just finished making breakfast. Care to have a bite with me Miss Kyda, or will you wash up first?" he spoke with a bow, before placing the cups on the table, listening for an answer.
"So sleepy... but... I want to eat first."
"Come join me then."
Finneas helped her sit down at the table, providing a fork for her brightly colored eggs and what appeared to be some ham and hash browns, all which looked and smelled quite delicious.
"Ah, and here Nyx, just for you." Finn spoke as he set over a bowl of some food that seemed to resemble a bowl of worms, to which the Phoenix happily began to gorge down.
"So, I was thinking of probably checking in with this man I had met the other day, a few weeks before you came. He asked of me to simply keep track of things around these parts and let him know of anything interesting. Perhaps afterwards we can go and look for ingredients in the forest,? That is, if you wish to join me. I am low on a few ingredients."

"Nooo... I don't know where they hid the mystical elixir... Grow your own tail back bubz..."
Little did the young phoenix know that aside from being just a kitsune, Kyda was also a notorious sleep talking fox. She fluttered into the room. Tilting her head to the side, Nyx landed on the short headboard above the bed, having chose to look down onto the sleepy fox.
In Finneas' absence she had seemingly magnitized herself to one of the pillows around her, having pulled it close to her body before tightly wrapping her arms around it. Her knees were brought almost all the way up to her armpits, and they too clutched the pillow. Kyda moved around on the bed some, giving a big stretch and a soft yawn and adjusting her position before returning to snuggling her cushion.
Nyx cocked her head from side to side before gliding down and perching on Kyda's head. She gave a few short chirps in attempt to wake the sleep ridden Kitsune from her slumber. No response. She gave a few more futile chirps before pecking her face a handful of times.
The pecking seemed to have done the trick as Kyda started out of bed, flailing her arms at the cheeky little bird. She groggily sat up, giving a groan that spelled out how fucked her slept cycle currently was and how much she wanted to be asleep still. She gave a big stretch, sucking air in as she arched her back and reached her hands to the ceiling. Letting her arms down, she smacked her lips a few times and wiped her eyes before it dawned on her.
Breakfast!
Was it for her? She had not a clue-- But it smelled wonderful and she wanted some! Slowly she stood up from the bed and steadied herself on the edge of the nearby wooden dresser. Upon hearing a few glorious chirps, she threw a glare up at the top of the door only to spot Nyx.
In a soft and sleepy voice, she gave a half-real threat. "Yanno, one day, yhuer gonna be my breakfast, bird."
Nyx gave a couple a chirps, almost like a laugh, or dare to fulfill that threat. Kyda paid next to no mind to it, as she was far more preoccupied with the concept of trying to coordinate the movement of her own two feet without tripping over them.
Shuffling into the kitchen behind the Phoenix bird, she used the sleeves of her shirt to rub and wipe at her eyes. She gave a cute yawn, covering her mouth with her left hand as she ran her right hand through her frizzled and messy hair. She looked at the table and noticed that her red-headed host was setting down a cup of orange juice for each of them. He had, in fact, set the table with two plates, and it smelled wonderful.
Her mouth watered slightly as Finneas asked her if she wanted to go ahead and eat now, or wash her face and what not first.
"So sleepy... but-- I want to eat first!"
Finn invited her to the table, pulled a chair out for her and offered her a pronged object that she took into her hands and eyed with a certain sort of curiosity. What a strange looking comb.
Finn sat himself down, and within the few seconds he wasn't looking at her, she ran the pronged object through her hair, wincing slightly as it caught on a few small knots. She glanced at Finneas as he set a bowl of worm-things down for Nyx, before saying, "Do you have any better combs or brushes? I mean, I'm also surprised that you gave me a hygiene object at the breakfast table, but I understand that appearances are fairly important to you strange humans-- Either way, it smells absolutely delicious Finn! And yeah, I'd be happy to go adventuring with you!"

Finneas gave a confused stare for a moment before realizing what had gone through Kyda’s mind, “I see you aren’t accustomed to using forks.”
She replied with a curious tilt of her head and he gave a chuckle as he reached toward her, taking the fork from her hand before going to give it a quick rinse. Upon returning, he set it down next to her plate, holding a hand out for her to wait.
“You use them for eating, not as a comb. Like this, “ he announced as he grabbed his own fork and began to poke his food and scoop a bit to bring to his mouth and eat.
“See?” He spoke while covering his mouth, letting the single syllable slip out in between chomps.
“Oh!” Kyda exclaimed while looking at the fork, taking it in her hand. “Yeah, I’m not used to eating like this.”
At first she couldn’t help but struggle slightly while large bits of food constantly fell off of her fork, trying wholeheartedly to get a decent mouthful of the delicious eggs Finneas had prepared. Soon she began to catch on, being able to eat more normally, continuing her meal with a proud smile on her face for mastering the art of… forking? Either way, she was glad to have learned something new that didn’t force her into some large bulky clothing or something. It still felt a tad awkward eating with the fork though.
“So most recently I have been hoping to find out more about Nyx’s reactions to certain herbs and plants, see if she can detect certain reagents within them. I also hoped to stop by in town to pick up any interesting news or rumors. Should be entertaining. ” He spoke with a soft smile as he finished his food, cleaning his mouth with a napkin. Finneas then paused for a moment as he watched Kyda raise her plate to her mouth and lick the smaller remains of her food off of it, reaching his hand out. “I think you’re about done, I can make something for you to bring along and we can stop by somewhere for lunch if you want.” He giggled slightly at Kyda’s reaction, a bit of surprise and a small frown for giving up the precious licks left on her plate, but she obediently handed it over. “That sounds alright, what are you gonna make?”
“Most likely something easy, like sandwiches, and don’t worry, you won’t need a fork. I’ll go ahead and do the dishes and pack the food while you get ready, sound good?”
“Okay!” Kyda stood as she grinned wide, her eyes squinting even as she stretched up, her tail wagging a bit while she yawned. “I’ll go get ready then!”
Finneas waved as she disappeared back into the room, sighing softly with a smile, before realizing something.
“MAKE SURE YOU WEAR PANTS.”
“I thought women were supposed to be in those big heavy dresses all the tiiiime. Do they wear pants too??!”
“Choose one.”
Silence hung for a moment as if a decision was being made.
“Fiiiine. My plans have been foiled I say! FOILED. . . . What if I just wear a long shir-”
“Wear something underneath. ANYTHING. At the very least wear some undergarments.”
“I’ll hold my dress down if a breeze sweeps by?”
“UNDERGARMENTS.”
“That’s a foreign concept! I never wore anything under my fur!”
“I guess we can skip the ice cream parlor then. I don’t believe you had much of that while being a fox. Very foreign. And delicious.”
Again silence hung in the air, followed by a loud disgruntled sigh of surrender. “... You’re hoooorrible,” came the response. “Absolutely the worst!”
“And that’s why I’m taking you out for ice cream, aren’t I?” The whole ‘argument’ was held as Finneas washed their dishes and prepared the sandwiches, a smile across his face the whole time. After the initial shock of the fox-girl and some sleep, he was more prepared for her odd behaviors. In fact, he found most of them endearing, though he did really wish she was more reserved about displaying her nudity.
After packing their snacks and food, Finneas delved into his laboratory and grabbed a few flasks and books to stuff in his bag, as well as writing supplies. Had to keep a record of everything. Soon afterward, he came back to the front door to find Kyda coming out of the bedroom.
She stepped out of the room gingerly, trying to get used to the feeling of these so called ‘undergarments’. Ha! What a strange concept these people had come up with, who in the world thought it smart to wear clothes under your clothes? She shook her head and adjusted the wide straps of her dress. Now that she thought about it, she wasn’t all too certain how much Finneas would even approve of this... overgarment? A broad area of her upper chest was bare, but all the bits he liked to complain about were covered well and good.
Looking down at the pleated pattern of her dress, she wasn’t a hundred percent certain if he’d even OK her shins showing without some form of pants covering herself... But she had tried the dreaded and utterly confusing thing that had come labeled as ‘panties’ and stuck her legs through the holes that made the most sense.
Her lips pulled to one side in a skeptical look and she ran a hand through her hair to ruffle it. “Uhm... Well, I know I’m not wearing pants but I tried out this thing we got called ‘panties’... They’re like this miniature version of pants that only go over the places of me you seem to get all stupid over.”
Finneas rolled his eyes at her comment, “Yeah, and trust me when I say that you’ll thank me later that I made you wear something, even if it is the bare minimum. But enough of that, you look good, feel like leading us through to find alchemical plants? I’m curious to know what you know, and maybe find out something new hm?” He spoke as he opened the door and let it swing open, revealing the stairs that led up to the street. In truth, he preferred that she wear a dress that wasn’t as loose, but it was good enough.
