The revelation of his training wasn't that much of a shock, the timeline did sync up for the most part. It was sad someone so wicked would come from his influence.

The thought of Sombra having his own kingdom made her shiver to her spine.

"I'd never join you, just go." I said.

I did not want to tackle these dark deals and revelations right now. I just wanted to be with my friends right now.

"Fine then princess. But if you want you student Starlight Glimmer, you'll have to research Omni and his location. He and I have a score to settle when I get stronger,  and only one of us is walking away when I'm truly ready."  Since he knew he was not ready to take on the Princess of Friendship and her friends he said to her. "Get stronger. As soon we'll spar again. Oh and here..."  He'd materialize a book on some spells, some basic level spells Starswirl had taught him near Princess Twilight. "Since you're an avid reader and a lover of books,  this should motivate you to begin your lessons here. When I return we shall do battle Princess of Friendship. Mark my words."  He'd start to trot off towards the gate that led back to the Nexus. For he had work to do and new powers that he needed to unlock. Given he didn't have the bulk of his powers,  and couldn't go into his shadow form he was trotting back towards the Nexus itself at a slow pace, with a slight limp in one of his hooves.

“Wha-what happened?” The familiar gold haired mare said as she got on her hooves and reached for her cowboy hat which was perched nearby.

“Ugh, I think I sprained something.” Whined the rainbow color haired pegasus as she does not even bother to get up.

“Oh dear, are you going to be okay Dash?” Asked the concerned Pink haired pegasus.

“I’ve had worse.”

“Not sure that you have Dash, it seems we’ve been transported somewhere else entirely.” Said the elegant purple maned unicorn. “We were just in the throne room and suddenly we’re out in a field somewhere. Is Discord playing a cruel joke on us?”

“I hope he does it again!” Yelled the entirely pink mare excitedly, bouncing around the group as if she was a hyperactive crack bunny.

“Ugh.” A tiny purple dragonling climbed to his feet. He stumbled towards the main group. “Are you okay Twi-”

Suddenly, he felt the warm embrace of my foreleg

“I’m so sorry guys, I got you all in trouble.”

The group turned to me, all sharing looks of puzzlement.

“It’s King Sombra.”

The ponies all gasp in unison.

“Sombra, alive?” Dash said in shock.

“How did he survived the Crystal Heart?” Asked Applejack.

“I don’t know, but based on what he said, it was some sort of divine intervention. Some sort of god named Omni.”

I trot a little bit in the direction of the village, spreading a hoof to signify the area.

“Sombra told me this world is the creation of some omnipresent being, and whoever he is, he’s trapped him here. And now Sombra has trapped all of us here.”

“But why would he want his enemies trapped here with him?” Rarity asked.

“I don’t fully know. I don’t know what he’s planning. And I don’t know if there is any way to escape.”

Silence befell all of us. Everyone present looked solemn and fearful of the uncertain future. Finally, it was Rainbow Dash that spoke.

“Well, all I can say is that we’ve been through worse than this. There’s no sense doubting ourselves now, we have to believe we can succeed, and with the seven of us together, there’s nothing we can’t achieve!” She extends a hoof. “Are we all in this together!”

Everyone looked at each other, each gaining grins before piling their own hoofs on top of RD’s. I called in the count down.

“1… 2… 3!”

“Yeah!”
