Looking for those who Protect and Serve

primeconversation.om/conversation/idm=33043’Looking-for-those-who-Protect-and-Serve’

Interpol Inspector seeks Other Policing Primes.

I am Inspector Fox-Cooper, a relative newcomer to the Omniverse. I am seeking to talk to others who have had experience with law-enforcement, especially international law, before or after arrival in the Omniverse.
I'd like to open a discussion about the current provision of law-enforcement, and whether the forces that do so do so in the spirit of true policing

Looking forward to hearing from you

Inspector Fox-Cooper

Hello Fox-Cooper my name is Chara although I have very little knowledge of police work I need someone to help me get somewhere safe in coruscant so if you would like to help I would be more than willing to give some Omnilium as payment, though I don't know what kind of trouble you may be but you have a favor from me if you do this.

You're looking for a protection detail from an unaffiliated cop? I'm guessing you don't trust that the Empire Police Department have your best interests at heart, then.

If you drop me an email at vixen5503@disposableemail.dataverse with the details of your pickup point, drop-off location and who you expect to be targeted by then I'll see whether I can help show up what passes for a force of justice.

Back on topic, however, I notice that the current guard and police forces do not seem to fall in line with my preconceptions of police work. Are there any others experienced with experience of vigilantism or other attempts to deal out fair justice and the spirit of police duty?

Hello Miss Fox, my name is Cyborg. I too am seeking to bring crimnials to justice. I have recenetly apprehended a Prime in the lower tiers of courscant who was a gun for hire. The criminal syndicate that is present in Courscant must be stopped for the safety if this verse. I would be very much interested in helping you in your endevour to seek justice.

Thank you for the offer of help, Cyborg. At the moment, I'm sounding out the state of things in the Omniverse, looking for any groups or individuals who understand that the duty of the police is to protect and serve the people, not an agenda or hierarchy. I hope I can count you among these.

My understanding, from what I have dredged up in my brief search of the Dataverse, is that there are only a few prominent law-enforcement groups around: the EPD, the Camelot City Guard and a man by the name of Roland Deschain. What would people say about them in comparison to their home universe's law enforcement?

I'm not sure I have not been in this strange universe long. I was draw to Courscant and have had only had exposure to the EPD. I dont know what this "kingdom" is but I do know that the EPD wishes to serve the citizens of Courscant.

This sounds suspiciously like the beginnings of a vigilante justice group. I don't think the EPD looks too kindly upon that kind of thing. If you want to keep the peace, why not stop by a local stationhouse? That's what I did. Worked out gine for me.

It's not up to Primes to determine what justice is. It's up to the Empire.

The EPD is vicious to the extreme, has poor community presence and intrudes way too much into civilian lives. The EPD is also directed by political machinations and a hierarchy that has been proven to be corrupt multiple times.

Bear in mind that this is my professional opinion after reviewing public EPD statements, news bulletins and community forums accessible from a Coruscant public terminal and witnessing the interaction of the police force and military first hand.

You seem pretty sure of yourself. And you're displaying the exact kind of attitude that these people hate Primes for. Pushy and arrogant as soon as they step through the Nexus gate. You don't know this verse. I don't know it too well either, but I can tell you it's a hell of a lot better than where I come from. This city is amazing.

You should look at the photos of casualties from rebel attacks. See just how vicious the lawbreakers are. Then maybe you'll understand why forceful measures are sometimes necessary.

And remember; public terminals are traceable Wink

There is a difference between forceful and indiscriminate. There are several first-hand accounts of police brutality and corruption, as well as applications of legal force to stifle civilized conversation over changes in Coruscant's government's policy.

Yes, terrorism, murder and gang warfare are terrifying things to face. The ends does not excuse the means nor the collateral damage. I came into Coruscant watching and observing, and even in the brief time I've been here I've read and seen things that scream out that there are problems to be fixed here.

Thank you for the reminder about public terminals, however. I'm sure expressing these views will not make me popular if the EPD catches wind of them. I shall bid you adieu until I find a Dataverse connection in the next verse I go and observe.

I hope that this conversation will attract some fellow officers who have experience in these matters.

Adios
Inspector Fox-Cooper
