Atonement Comes Forth.
#1
~In The Days Long Passed~

His body was sharded with steel jagged and torn across eight visible tails each swaying seemingly without weight crashing upon the ground with enough force to shatter stone without an attempt to try doing so. Hair made of silver and eyes burning with a depth of red that it seemed the blood of his sins already ran cold within his gaze. Before him a woman who's pale form was adept to one who lived underground and an unknown egg laying between the two. Stepping forth with the woman too weak the devil of a man set foot upon this egg, claws large enough to put a dragon's to shame ready to crack through the surface and kill the life within.

"Accept My Contract. Accept My Soul Into Yours And Serve Me Or I Shall Crush Your Child Before Your Eyes! Buffy! Hold Her Down!"

A voice booming with almost a draconic lineage the devil of a man called forth a name. A figure of a girl who seemed so obviously the same as the woman on the ground would appear. The life drained from them, their ability to control the actions lost to the commands given. Sisters they were. One forced to hold down another as this armored beast held a defenseless life under his toes as no more then dirt. Without pause the woman's will was shattered. Her very soul was his to toy with as he saw fit.

~The Moment At Hand~

Darkness. Darkness around him. Darkness of the distance. Darkness so near. He remembered the knife. The woman who was once his. The woman who he could never get forgiveness from. The woman who he built a kingdom for, who's people he had saved, who's family he had brought together again. But could it ever be enough? He did not know. What he did know was what he could hear. Even as his eyes closed there was a vision he continued to see. "“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Rules. His contracts had many rules too. Rules that used to bind people's wills and their lives. Whatever this was he could not deny a fact. He knew right now he was in a position much as that woman was. He was a person with something to return to, no matter how messed up it may of been. Something he had to live for. As the apparition came closer and offered to him an orb he did not fight. He simply held a gentle smile, his eyes cast down as his fingers laced across the product of a light that reminded him of the days of his creation. The sparks that ignited his soul to come into being to start with. He'd listen carefully for he had to live on and return. Whether or not he understood why he was here.

“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

Desires. That was all it wasn't it. That same woman that stabbed his heart too had stolen it long before it could be pierced. Keeping his eyes upon the orb he tried to keep that detail down. Certain he had died and some vengeful deity cast his soul into a depth to be toyed with. If this...Omnilium meant getting back to the woman who took his heart. The first person in general to capture such a thing in many lives? He desired it indeed.

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."

A laugh. He had already been reborn a thousand fold it felt. Though was that not a lie? How many lives was it. Seven...Was this eight? Did he even die when he was cast here? He never obtained another body. Was this it? Was this body what he would of been if he had not forged it into the destructive force that it came to be? Taking his eyes off the orb for a moment he'd look down but see nothing. How thick was this infinite black he were caught in? He couldn't tell. But his ears remained sharp as the being spoke on.

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

Well that was worth catching wasn't it? Closing his eyes he'd not notice the darkness fade. Thinking the infinite black still to be there he stood in place for a moment before realizing there was light beyond the veil of skin that covered his eyes. Unsure if it was this...Omni...Or not he'd open said eyes with haste, screaming out as he did.

"SON OF A WHORE!"

During the exclamation he'd drop back and land with a heavy thud against the ground, covering his eyes from the brilliant light that covered the infinite around the fountain. How was he suppose to know that jack off would drop him midst such a brilliant display? It mattered not. As he rolled about he'd suddenly stop and let his arms drop to his side. Omnilium. Omni. What else?...For some reason things just seemed jumble. Was he in a conversation just now? Or was it a dream? With a sigh he'd slowly sit up and let his eyes adjust gradually as they should of when the darkness faded. It were what he deserved for keeping them closed as he did.

Rather then speak he'd raise his left hand, hoping to call forth a seed from his pocket to grow a tobacco plant that would dry itself out and roll it's own leaves into a paper forged of it's roots. But it would not work. Rather he'd feel a soreness in his arms as he tried, his soul damaged from when he died yet did not die. There was no entering the realm of spirits to recover his power as he normally would over a few dozen years. With a sigh he'd slowly stand instead, looking upon the Omnilium orb left to him.

"Hell were you good for again...Anything I desire...."

With a smirk he'd think for a moment before yelling out a word, holding the orb out with hopes it would change.

"CIGAR!"

With nothing his eye would twitch and another word would come from him.

"Vodka!"

Again nothing. To some this was an instinctual action to change Omnilium to what they desired. For Atonement? He was needing to find the right instinct out of several different species within his soul.

"Beer?..."

Left hanging he'd sit back down on the ground, pulling the orb near before beginning to attempt chewing on it. Hoping maybe that it gained the flavor of at least one of those. A guy has to have priorities after all.

Hunny looked around him, there was a fountain next to him but the landscape was all white in contrast to the darkness he had just witnessed. The Omniverse... "H-hello? Is anybody there? T-Tama-chan? Kyoya? Hello?..."

"Beer?..." Hunny saw someone with long silver hair sit on the ground, they looked defeated. Hunny walked closer as they tried to bite into an orb of omnilium.

"Excuse me, miss? D-Did you just get here too?" Hunny clenched Usa-chan tightly to his chest, he was still shocked after meeting Omni and didn't quite understand omnilium yet (but assumed chewing it like that wasn't exactly right.) The silver-haired individual turned around.

"Miss? Really?" They seemed angry and approached Hunny. "I'm not a MISS. I'm not a LADY. I'm MANLY." Hunny, the 4'10" boy, looked down on this blue eyed man.

"I'm really sorry, It's just, you're so slim, and you're barely taller than my bunny usa-chan!" Hunny laughed, "I'm new here, and I'm really lost... do you want to be our friend? What's your name?"

Miss? Lady? Some annoying punk probably inhabiting this world long before him. He replied though not in his usual nature. With another sharp bite upon the Omnilium it would give heavily only to return to it's shape as he removed his mouth from it. His eyes staring up at the child before him. Heavy agitation. Anger. That was Atonement. For a lone child to come up to him like this? He should!-

That's when he remembered. Before he acted he'd breath in a calm breath and exhale, slowly getting up as his fingers all but juggled the orb as it was shifted to his left hand. His fingers would seem to spread over the orb, forming a layer of flesh around it so he'd not drop it or some foolishness like that. Not that he knew enough about it to understand that it were a thing that could not be lost. His eyes stared at the boy who clung to the rabbit as if it was some wall between them. Something to stop his power. Worst. He Dared To Ask A Name While Giving Nothing! This child's ignorance was warrant enough to deserve some punishment or another. Yet...

Those eyes. Sorrow hiding anger. Light illuminating shadow. Atonement's eyes would twitch, trying to figure out how to act. "Usa...Chan?" He seemed agitated, looking away at this boy who obviously was as clueless as he was. The little bastard held no purpose to him. No use. He needed a smoke. A drink. Anything. Finally he'd lower his left hand into a pocket to deposit the Omnilium into it, his right hand reaching up to rub at his own eyes. Whatever this Omnilium was. It wanted to react to him somehow. He felt it so. But he didn't want to allow it either, unsure what it truly was. Perhaps if he did he'd be able to get it to do something for him. Perhaps not.

"Damn kids...Who I am...I am a being that has lived several lives that put lesser men to shame... I Am A Creature That Has Waged Wars Across Worlds. I Am One Who's Many Titles Cause Nightmares In People Like You!" He showed his agitation even further, glaring from beyond his fingers only to see the innocent eyes of the boy staring like he were in some sort of trouble. "You!" Again he repeated it, seeming to rile himself up. "You!..." Again, but his body started to relax before he dropped his left hand down, letting it dangle by his side. "Damn it....Call me Atonement...And sure kid...Why not...You got any idea how to work this stupid shit?" Once more he'd raise his hand from the pocket, dragging out a broken fragment off the orb, the substance breaking and rejoining itself as it were so desired.

What more could he do? If this kid knew something? Anything...It might work. Considering how much power he lost when he originally came here though. He knew he had to keep to a pace less he simply become self destructive before he could regain his spiritual strength. At least his legs still worked?

"S-Sorry. I don't know how this stuff works either, we should go looking for someone who does shouldn't we? I need to get back home..." Hunny looked around, a single tear forming in his eye as he walked over to Atonement. "My name is Mitskuni Haninozuka, but you can call me Hunny... do you think there is any cake around here? I haven't had anything for so long..."

"All you're worried about is damn cake. No, I don't know where any is. We need to figure out how to work this omnilium shit though." He stuck his hands and the omnilium in his pocket and looked around. He's eyes gleamed with anger, but somehow had a hint of worry. "Follow me kid, let's get out of here."

"Okay..." Hunny hugged Usa-chan tighter than before and followed after Atonement, who had just picked a direction and started walking. His head hung low as he dragged his feet a few paces behind his elder. His friends, they must be searching for him, they must be coming for him right? He had so many questions, none of which he dared to ask this hot headed friend, though he is probably just as puzzled as Hunny.

The air was thick after some time walking with Atonement, neither of the two said much and there was still nothing new to be seen. During this time Hunny had time to think. He knew his goals, he needed to do anything in his power to make it back home, back where he beongs. While he was here, though, he might as well enjoy himself. He swung usa-chan in his arms while he hummed and tried to think positively. Maybe he can meet new friends, and maybe this Atonement guy wouldn't be so bad... and maybe there are different kinds of cake in The Omniverse.

Cake? How the shit was he suppose to know if there was any cake around here!? Some brat worried about cake! Maybe next he'll want some frozen creams or fresh baked pies. Such stupidity. Then again from some brat called Hunny? Maybe they earned that nickname for eating honey coated-...pan...something. The thought was there but he'd lost it as soon as he tried thinking about it. With the kid at his back he'd started walking, his senses already on alert but unable to track a thing. Why? Why was he in such a condition that even his awareness betrayed him. Looking around he saw dots in the distances. But were they worth heading towards? With so many people coming through and so many people appearing at the fountain. Perhaps not. Instead he'd just walk forward, hoping to get out of here but using his head all the while.

Towards one dot he'd walk before turning and then heading for another. Several minutes would pass and all the while he kept changing which dot to talk to. Bad directions? Perhaps or perhaps not. With Hunny's head hung low they surely didn't notice. What Atonement sought? It was what Stahlern had fought for. Knowledge. As he circled he kept a significant distance from the fountain but all the while had his eyes turned in that direction. Things seeming to materialize as people stayed still and focused on nothing. Conjuration? Summoning? Some devices would roar with life as they drove off suddenly on bikes. Horses seemed to come to exist without a single barn in sight. But Atonement hated asking people. The only reason he asked Hunny was because the kid bothered him first.

"Hmph..." A sound at long last that shattered the silence. His motions stopping that would ultimately reveal that they had not traveled far. He saw what he needed to in order to try. Omnilium. It were as a manifest of magic waiting to be woven, and being a man who was so diverse in the natures of magic in so many of his lives? Atonement knew it would be possible. A snap. A sound as his left hand had entered his pocket and broke off a single piece of Omnilium to hold into his palm, his eyes focused upon the product. Would it do anything? He did not know. But Observation was key. Information gathering was key. Knowledge was key. He willed it to change. This stone of colors that were all familiar and some that were not. It would slowly change, shifting slightly as it enlarged itself. It could grow. It could spread... It could rise. It could shrink.

It stretched outward, taking almost five minutes before it's form was complete and it's color came to exist. A simple slice of cake on a steel plate, vanilla frosting and strawberries decorating the top. "Tch!...Damn it...You've got me thinking too much about sweets now!" He faked the truth. His right hand coming to take the plate from his left to hand back towards Hunny. His left hand then breaking off another piece to hold in his left hand, a grin on his face as he figured out the truth. "It's Manifested Magic...Focus on it and it shall become as you desire...I guess it failed before because I didn't do it like they did...I thought it would be instant but it takes a long time to work itself..." Watching and listening. That was the key to gathering information. And that information belonged to him and him alone. But even so he shared that information like it was nothing important with Hunny just as he was trying to share the cake, offering it to the boy.

"C-Cake?!" Hunny excitedly took the oddly constructed piece of cake out of his hands. "No way... how did you?" He smiled down at Atonement and stuffed a huge bite of the cake into his mouth, and attempted to apologize with his mouth full, "Tank Chu." Atonement chuckled. "So can we use this omnilium stuff to help us get out of here? You seem to know how to use it."

"Maybe." Atonement paced around, presumably letting all this new information sink in.

Looking around, Hunny noticed they had walked pretty far away from the fountain. He decided to try and conjure something from the omnilium that was given to him, perhaps it could be useful. Reaching into his blazer pocket, he pulled out a ball of the malleable multicolored ball. You could easily pull it apart and it'd slip back together, yet it didn't slip through your fingers. He stood still and quiet and concentrated on the mass as it slowly began to move and reshape itself, until after a few minutes he managed to make two small rings. One was pink and fit on his finger with ease, the other was blue and black, he gestured it to Atonement to offer it. "It looks pretty, you should wear it!"

"Out of all the things you could have made. There are so many more useful things I'm sure we could use this for, things much better than cake or rings..." Hunny pouted and hid some of his face behind Usa-chan, with the ring still held out towards Atonement. "Fine. Fine, whatever kid. I'll wear it." He slipped it on his thumb, it was too big for the rest of his small fingers, "Are you happy now?" Hunny nodded yes sheepishly.

"I wonder how much of this omnilium stuff we have. When I take it out of my pocket I can't really feel how much there is. There has to be a limit, though." Hunny suggested the idea. "We should seek out some more information I guess, but now atleast I don't have to do it on an empty stomach, right guys?" He always spoke reffering to both Atonement and Usa-chan.

"You treat that toy like it's real you know, it can't hear you."

"Don't talk about Usa-chan like that! Usa-chan is very special to me." Hunny's eyes teared up as he got angry. "Please, do not ever talk about my Usa-chan like that again!" Atonement, shoked by such a serious response, agreed not to.

How interesting. The little shit has some bite to him. With the nuisance of a ring wrapped around his right thumb and the Omnilium still taking shape in his left palm he kept his focus more on the Omnilium then the conversation. It's form taking up the shape of a box thus far as the rabbit of a boy seemed so bouncy and content just by what little actions Atonement had taken. It should of taken only three or four minutes. But with his focus needing to go off and on with Hunny it took closer to seven. Finally the box would form with a strap shown to fall, Atonement setting the box to his side and the strap around his own neck with an arm through it. He had what he needed, reaching two fingers into the box he pulled out a cigar and dangled it before his own face. It was like a happy holiday that just kept giving.

But then there was another matter to think about. Hunny. He wanted that toy of his to be a real creature. Another member of their screwed up group. He'd commit that to memory. Not that he had to waste the time but hell. Why not. His throat would seem to swell slightly as he coughed out something towards the tip of the cigar, a spark of flame showing only to be followed by something else. A series of coughs. Atonement would drop the cigar during this, reaching up his hands to hold to his own throat as he dropped down, almost falling to a knee only to catch himself if not for his own pride. He refused to fall to nothing. But there was another question had. Why?

He tried to breath a flame as he had so many times before. But he barely released any more then a spark and it did far more harm then good. His breath became heavy but he tried his best to regain his composure, standing tall and letting his arms drop as Hunny came near to voice his concerns. Atonement's eyes looked to the boys, a gaze slightly fierce but also not something directed at him. Just at the situation he was to deal with. "Do not worry. I'm fine...Normally between lives I'll spend years in the spirit world to regain my power...I didn't have that opportunity when I died and came here..."

It was honestly a pain to deal with this. Lacking power? Lacking strength? He knew he wasn't in a great position for what he should be able to do. But to be unable to control even baser elements? With another attempt he knew it was true. He could not even move the metals nearby. His most basic of ability.. "To think my power has become so little..." Kneeling down he'd pick up the cigar, thinking on how most people lit such things. Matches. Fire sticks. Fire pits. He had no such thing and he had no desire to waste his time summoning such things up. Instead he'd put the cigar into his box and move forward.

"Hunny. Usa. I'll be honest." He'd actually add Usa's name to the group. Almost as if to direct his words to the toy as well. He himself was once no more then a sword in the latest days of his existence. Who was he to judge what was alive or not. "I haven't been going anywhere. You can already see that...I been circling the fountain with false direction to make anyone watching think I knew where I was going. It's mostly to watch others though. So far I see most people are coming from that direction using horses and the likes as a means of travel...But their outfits do not match well...So I can say something is happening there." With those words he'd point in the direction of Camelot's gate. Not knowing where it leads he hadn't actually made attempt to go that way. "On the other hand most people with similar attire are coming and going from that direction." Pointing back he'd point towards Coruscant. "So I think we can find a unified gathering in that general area...I don't know what the far dots are that they are going to...But it's easy to tell it's a passage of sorts...So tell me. What do you think sounds logical?"

Crossing his arms he'd look back to Hunny, staring with a stern stare and scowl. Obviously trying to analyse the situation to the best of his detail. "Do we follow the crowd of misfits? Or perhaps the Unified Crowd?" The scowl slowly changed, becoming a slight smirk soon before long. "Or...Shall we gather information in full detail here?...There are so many different dots with crowds coming to and from each. This place might be a centralized source of information to figure out this area just that much better...I shall leave the choice to you two." To you two. Once more he included Usa in that concept. In truth he also believed it would bite him in the ass later if things ever came to a vote. But why not? The kid was a kid and even kids needed to be treated like adults sometimes.

"I don't know... maybe we should follow the people with horses? Or bikes?" Hunny sat on the floor, he pouted and couldn't think of what to do. "Let's just follow them." He pointed to the people heading towards the gate to Coruscant, "Maybe they know how to get me and usa-chan back home."

"We'll see about that. Come on, let's go." Atonement grabbed Hunny's hand and helped him up, and began walking in the direction of the gate.

"Wait a second, let me try something." Hunny sat back on the ground, taking some omnilium from his blazer.

"We need to go we don't have any damn time to sit around." Atonement tried to get him back on his feet, but Hunny was focused on what he was doing. The omnilium began to grow, shape and form into what Hunny was thinking of. Meanwhile, Atonement gave up and sat next to him waiting for him to finish. After what seemed like forever, but was probably only 15 minutes, a small motorbike was conjured. It was small, dainty, and gleamed silver. It was only big enough for a toddler or two... perfect. Hunny smiled, "Look, look usa-chan I did it!" He danced around his tiny bike, and hopped on. "Come on Atonement, Let's go!" Atonement, with an expression Hunny couldn't quite distinguish, climbed onto the back of the bike.

Appon arrival, the gate was huge, towering well above the two small individuals. It was made of solid, shining steel and on either side was a stormtrooper. "Y-you lead the way Atonement. M-Me and Usa-chan will f-follow you." Hunny shook in his shoes as his dainty bike began to fall apart, being in this new place scared him.

Another bike. But what the hell were these, the abominations of man proposed 'arts' that took the steel of his fathers and father's fathers and forged them into so wicked the shape. He had seen a few drive off but how did they work? How did they even come to exist to begin with? Was it a magic? He had carried the world upon his shoulders and sent ships of the sea to sail across clouds instead. But this bike? It confused him, his analytical eyes trying to understand what was beyond him of the time...Something that was indeed far ahead of his times. That roar to life...That smell of gasoline and fire. It was as though an entire war were waged within the confines of this steel, the vibration like a sword being clashed upon sword a hundred time over.

But he did nothing to betray himself by displaying his thoughts. His emotions. His feelings. It would have to be held for what felt an eternity. By their location in the Nexus even if they were traveling at a peak speed their time from one end to the other would of taken a minimum of ten to thirteen minutes due to their location in particular being so close to the fountain still. But as Hunny did not exactly max out their speeds, or to say in particular could of known the maximum speed allotted to this little bike their time traveled took closer to thirty. During that entire ride Atonement simply stared forth, glaring at the distance and noting a few travelers putting their speed to shame just on foot. Not that he couldn't do the same though. This device that smelled of war was no better then a child's play thing. Deserving of a human's toy to say the least.

When finally arriving at the gate to the west, direction having so little meaning as everything was just one big universe where the painter had too much fun with the white paint. Atonement would get off the bike first, watching as it began to shake and shudder, falling into ruin at such a short traveled distance. "Hmph...Your toy broke down it seems..." Casting his eyes over towards the gate he'd look upon it and smile. What sort of creatures would he come upon? Were there fights to be had? Who knows. Stretching out his arms he'd grit his teeth as something peculiar came to happen. His shirt seemed to be getting absorbed into his flesh, as though a part of his very being His flesh turning black, then blacker still as he committed to a transformation. Before long it would become pitched, an absolute until his skin stretched outward and spread. Shades shifting as a cloak formed overhead, dropping over his pants that kept his omnilium ball in his pocket and hiding his dark visage in a cloth of his own being.

Stahlern learned this trick long ago. He hated wearing human cloths. They were...A foolish creation. At best you were able to get a pair of pants on him but that was it, and only when he was bandaged up enough to hide the sharp blades within his body. But clothing? It were so easy to mimic with just a small change of color, forming a secondary skin over the first with a slight alteration to the transformation. This was a favored form of his. A void within a hood. No face. Eyes matching his skin and a lack of whites to his eyes. He would be invisible to some within the cloak, and others would figure out the ultimate truths if they simply stared into the darkness long enough. This transformation warranted further heights, his form rising by nearly a foot and without much notice this black vision would be made to look down upon Hunny like a guardian devil over a child of the heavens.

"Don't Gimme That Look." His voice would come out stronger, almost as if demanding respect and revealing his pride. Forcing Hunny's attention and creating a thought. Atonement took on another form, yet was his first even how he truly looked? The cloaked figure would turn it's head, no expression to be seen under the hood, it's form stepping forward with a silence almost unworldly, bare feet given a thick layer of padding underneath with added layers of skin purposed to absorbing sound as well as impact from sharp stone and harsh points. Transformation was the name of this game, and needless to say? Atonement had a lot of games he liked to play. With that Atonement will step forth, walking through the portal without much concern for anything else. Seeming fearless of the unknown. In truth that fear could be heavier then even Hunny's but who was Atonement to show his fear? He'd beat his own ass 'again' if he went acting like a coward like he had once before.
