passing through
#1
Cat slowed to a stop as she neared the center of the nexus. The large lake that had been there when she left was now gone. In its place, was now a massive door. Or, more precisely, a set of three doors arranged in a triangle so that no matter which way you looked, one was always visible. There were numerous locks on the doors, lining up all the way to the top and down agian to the bottom. The metal monsters made it look like this really was the prison it had been made out to be by Nealaphh. I.. I'm not sure I can handle this. I mean.... what if I get captured by Orcs? I might get killed or worse... I can't do this.

Cat dropped to the ground at the foot of one of the massive doors, her fears overcoming her mind. The blue shield curled around her as her breathing staggered, and she began seeing spots. There was a ringing sound in her ears and her vision blurred as tears starteddropping to the ground. I can't do this. I'm not strong enough.I can't do it alone. Cat was regretting not bringing the shards with her, although they really would have brought too much attention as she passed through public. What she needed was a companion that could alert her to danger, or find her a way out of it or something like that. As she cried, an image surfaced in her mind. It was very foggy and hard to make out, but it was accompanied by the feel of soft fur under her hand. A long, narrow body, covered with dark brown fur. The feeling of somthing peircing though her skin. Sharp teeth, but not sharp enough to be dangerous, sharp claws meant for pouncing on prey.

As the distant memories drifted through her mind, Omnilium dripped from Cat's fingers with her tears into a puddle on the ground. It pooled beside her and continually rippled and shifted as it began to take form. It narrowed and thickened, growing from the puddle into the little furred creature from the echoes of faded memories. It developed as Cat continued to cry, fine details etching their way into the irridescent material. It grew fine hairs which became fur, the eyes blinked, and claws became sharp. A dark, chocolatey brown seeped through the strands of fur, met with a patch of golden brown in the middle of its body. Its tail flicked as the creature started coming to life, colour bleeding into it's skin gradually.

The little creature looked like a cross between a weasel and a cat, and moved about with ease. It explored its surroundings cautiously, including Cat's still collapsed figure. A small nose wiggled under her arm as she started to wipe away her tears and she froze, completely dumbfounded. Did I... No one else was around watching the little creature, nor was anyone walking away that may have left it. I doubt such a little creature would be a prime as Nealaphh calls them. Did he.. come from me? I couldn't have.. Although Nealaphh did say I had the ability to... odd. This little fellow is adorable though.
Cat reached out to touch the little creature, although she wasn't sure what it was, only to receive a sharp bite from its small teeth. "Ow.. that was rude. You could be nicer considering the situation. Do you have a name? ... Why am I talking, you can't understand me. Hmm..... I'll call you Kite. That sounds like a nice name, and I don't know your gender. Would you like to come with me...? I'd really enjoy having some company." She had to get this done, for Nealaphh. It would help people be safe until they got home. Plus.. every girl needs to have stayed in a pillow fort at least once in their lifetime. It was too much fun to resist. While Cat took a few moments to try to reign her emotions in, Kite scampered away towards the gate to the tangled green, followed immediately by the young girl calling out to him.
