A Spark of Hope
#1
I was chasing a robber. Normally child's play for the Fastest Man Alive, I know. But, this time, it was different. Captain Cold and the Reverse-Flash were attacking me while I was running. But, that wasn't what stopped me. I turned a corner while chasing a robber, when suddenly, I was warped into a void. The last thing I heard before being warped, was a blast from the gun of Leonard Snart...

I saw the void. It was nothing but empty blackness as far as the eye could see. I wondered what was going on. I tried to run at super speed, but no difference was seen at all. Then, a figure, seemingly made entirely of white light, appeared in front of me. I tried to speak, but no words came out. It was as if my lips were sewn shut. Then, the figure started talking.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

I nodded, and he handed me an orb, all colors of the emotional spectrum. I stared upon the orb until I suddenly absorbed it.

Quote:“This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

Omnilium...Seems amazing, I thought to myself.

Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."

I nodded, intrigued by the concept of the Omniverse.

Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

The figure and the void faded away, and what was seen afterwards was a wasteland of white. Infinite whiteness...Much better. I thought to myself. I was standing in a fountain.

"I assume I can talk again." I said to myself. I was right. "I should really start trying to figure out my surroundings...If there are any at all." I looked all around, looking towards some portals. I noticed a metal-framed one to the west, and found it interesting. I decided to enter the metal-framed portal, and started running towards it, leaving behind a trail of lightning.

I was a blur to anyone who would sight me, if there was anyone else who wa even here. A trail of lightning and a red blur. That was all that you could make out if you were there. It was going to be a long run. I felt slower than normal while running. Does the Omniverse have limitations to speed, or was I just having an off day? I pondered the issue while running for a few seconds, before continuing to focus on my speed.

Gotta keep running...I will probably get faster if I just keep running...That's how it worked in my world... I thought to myself. It didn't help. Eventually, I reached higher speeds, and found it harder and harder to control the speed the more of it I used. I decided to just calm down and run at the speed I was going at before. At least this way, it was maneuverable, in case I did manage to find a few obstacles in this white wasteland.

A few minutes later, I reached the portal. I stopped, being greeted by two guards in white.

"Hey...Where does this portal lead?" I asked.

"This portal leads to the city of Coruscant." one guard explained.

"Alright...I guess I'm headed to Coruscant." I responded. I then dashed through the portal at super speed.
