Magneto enters the Omniverse

Character history:

[spoiler]Within the ultimate universe Magneto is an arrogant fantasist who throughout his story sinks deeper into his self-proclaimed role as a messiah for mutants. He is the leader of Brotherhood of mutants and a ruthless killer, some might even say terrorist, who isn't afraid to kill in the name of mutant supremacy. Allies of Magneto consist out of members of the brotherhood : Mystique, Blob, Sabretooth, Lorelei and Madrox.

In this ultimate universe Magneto is a very dark and cynical individual who looks at humanity with disgust. He is revolted by them to such an extend he attempted to implement genocidal plans for humanity more than once.

His actions and attacks throughout the world like attacking Xavier's mansion, attempting to blow up the shield base and even using Thor's hammer mjolnir to cause worldwide devastation caused the surviving ultimates to seek out Magneto at his own home. After a vicious battle many people got badly wounded and even killed (Wolverine). But this ended after Jean grey connected his mind with Nick Fury who arrived at the fighscene. He then learns the truth about the origin from mutants.Pleading for his life from Cyclops after learning this shocking truth he still gets his head blown off by his captor and is presumably killed.

Magneto is taken by Omni directly when his head gets disintegrated by Cyclops after learning the truth about the mutants origin.[/spoiler]

Starting Powers: Flight – 1800 OM

Starting Moves:
Flying metal ( 600 ): Magneto uses omnilium to summon metalic weapon(s) to attack his enemy. The metalic weapon(s) he summons can be controlled by Magneto aslong as he uses his hands to guide them through the air using his Electromagnetic fields. These weapons can consist out of several bullet sized orbs or a single metalic spear. Once the metal has been summoned it cannot change shape until Magneto re-uses his attack to create new weapons, losing the ones he had already summoned.

Electromagnetic shield.( 600 OM ) Magneto uses his power as a projection of force-fields which selectively block out matter and energy. These fields are strong enough to withstand the detonation of multiple thermonuclear weapons, hence Magneto is invulnerable to most harm when surrounded by his shield and can survive in deep space thanks to it. Yet in the Omniverse it works different, even though it still blocks out selective matter and energy it has drawbacks. Projectiles with enough force may still penetrate it, the shield cannot be as large as he wants to. Its limited to either a bubble large enough for two people or a shield shaped as a screen with a width of 5 meters.

The shield specifically only cites projectile attacks, but what happens if someone tries to hack or punch their way through.

For melee characters i was thinking the shield can be destroyed by a proper attack ? ( meaning a stab with a knife wont do it but a powerful punch or attack with a sword is able to shatter the shield ) seeing as it will probably work with my def stat.

I appreciate your input in this because i find it hard to balance this.

No problem.

And I figured that was your response. A nice way to word that may be "While weaker attacks may be deflected by the barrier, strong attacks can break through. You could also add that the strength is linked to effort, with something like 'Magneto can focus intently, strengthening the barrier at the cost of expending more energy/stamina. That's a common 'trope' (reoccurring theme) with many Moves in the Omniverse, offensive or defensive.

One other very important question (sorry, but defensive moves are tricky) -- Can Magneto attack from within the sphere?

(as an aside, you're English as a Second Language, right? Let me know if I'm talking over your head. Many of the students I teach are English language learners, so it's something I'm not offended by or not used to doing)

In order to keep things interesting....no, Magneto is not able to attack while he uses the shield. He mus either focus on attacking or defending.

And i am not a native english speaker no. I am Dutch. And these replies are quickly written on my phone but for a post i take my time and will make use of the typos thread
