FIght/RosterUpdating question...
#1
Okay I read a fight recently. It is still on going. I went to look at a roster in the fight, and  It is pretty basic hasn't been updated in like 2 years(I just looked at last updated year). Only has two moves. No descrptions of those moves below or anytihng.

Isn't it our responsiblity to keep our Rosters updated? It is a prepresentation of our current Stat Sheet right?

If I entered a fight with an outdated Roster, say I entered it with 3k worth of Moves/Powers/Profs in my Purchase  Log....  But not in my Character log...

How does that work? Does that mean I can jip someone of knowledge of what I can do? Hell I could even have a few stat purchases or banishing circles I bought but never updated. Would that be fair?

I can understand  buying a  move  in the middle of a fight and using it as long as everything is updated. before you use it....

I just need some answers on this one...

Let whatever come my way.
I am stronger then my rival,
No, I will not fall today...

It is the player's responsibility to update their roster. If a member of staff notices an out-of-date roster, we'll notify them to change it.

Not that it would matter much in a fight. Every time one of those happens, the participant's rosters will garner a lot of traffic just from people wanting to guess the outcome. Even if the mods don't notice, there will be a dozen or so people who will.

To date, I've never had to tell someone to put their moves in their rosters. Generally the people who leave it blank are the ones who are new. Usually people who've been around enough to be getting in fights have updated their roster by then, usually out of pride. Though, even if they went into a fight with an empty roster, I doubt it'll stay that way for the above reasons.

Look a Magus' roster and say that again

...well, missed one I guess.

I doubt that was intentional trickery though. Haven't heard any complaints from Toybox or Cai oddly enough...

I never said it was trickery. I think it was a simple mistake. I know as a person that will be involved in a few storylines and fights, that I'd like to know the standing of it..

I've shot him a PM, we'll make sure this gets cleared up.

Not sure how he's gone so long without getting noticed. I guess because he's such a long running character.

I don't think Magus has gotten anything in the last 2 years... he was more or less MIA during most of that time.

Then again, maybe he's bought ALL the moves since then.

Ah. Seems he's had one purchase post go up in the last two years. That will need some updating, what with the four things he bought back in February.

I still think that a oster should be updated with either links to, or descriptions of moves and such.

If you can do a purchase log, you can spend less then 5 minutes to update your roster...

And again... I'm not accusing Magus of anything, pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. I just went looking fo Dark CLoud(Cuz i took the name from TBG's robot analysys thing) and saw it. TBG said it took her all of ten minutes to find his stuff, and she posted it in their fight agreement thread.

Personally, I think that should never have had to be done. I don't want to be in a fight, or a story and have to go hunt for moves and such of another. That's just me. If I agree to a fight, I want to know what I'm up agaisnt.

If I look at someone and challenge them to a fight, and see they are Level 3, but have level 1 roster... It means if they agree they have to pull it all out their ass. And do it in a time struggle. And hope it is all approved...

Same thing goes with story lines... for those that handle storylines and run saga's... You want an updated roster right?

Yeah.

Nothing deliberate. The system is just super tedious and I have been largely absent until recently. I'll update stuff soon. Thanks for the heads-up.
