As quickly as the darkness engulfed Ganondorf, it was just as swiftly replaced by a stark whiteness. Blinded by the sudden contrast, the Gerudo King shut his eyes and growled in irritation. It was more than simply the change in lighting which irked him. Demise, and his empty promises of unlocking Ganondorf’s hidden potential, had the Gerudo enraged. A bellow burst forth from the King, his head and arms thrown back in his impotent fury. Fists clenched tight, he vowed to make the demon pay for the insolence of his lies.
His hate-filled scream died down, the sound vanishing abruptly without so much as an echo, and with it so did Ganondorf’s rage. While his anger didn’t disappear completely, the release of that shout brought it down to a simmer instead of an outright boil. The Gerudo opened his eyes slowly, and took in his surroundings. He was in the Nexus again. It made sense, Ganondorf supposed, that he would be returned here after a defeat. Yet, things didn’t seem quite right. A misty, ethereal quality hung over the landscape, from the nearby fountain to the distant gates. It was if he wasn’t yet fully a part of the world.
As he considered the strangeness of this situation, Ganondorf’s eye spied the sand-blasted stone archway that lead to the Endless Dunes. A scowl twisted his lips as his thoughts moved to Enel, and his Keep. What would that egotistical bastard have done while Ganondorf was out of the picture? This spurred the Lord of the Dark to action, and he began to long jog to the gate and the Dunes.
