Karl Jak

[Proto Man]

Location/Role: Karl Jak resides in the Dante Verse, a pocket verse that he encountered mere moments after leaving the Nexus. A realm of pure omnilium, Karl shaped his personal verse into his own masterpiece, complete with a number of isolated islands and a glorious, high-tech ‘staging area’ that also serves as the headquarters for the Syntex organization—the company through which Karl is producing his televised competition, Dante’s Abyss.

Appearance: A handsome man in his early thirties, Karl speaks with a slight lisp and an even slighter accent that seems to imply he was born in northern Florida or possibly Georgia. His features are angular and his face is dominated by deep blue eyes, and his look evokes that of a southern gentleman, lending additional support to the nature of his accent.

Karl stands at a little over six foot and has a skinny frame. His clothes are all expensive, and despite a love for vibrant colors (like purple), he doesn’t tend to dress excessively. He prefers a simple suit (albeit a purple one with some lovely gold trim).

Story: It is unknown precisely when Karl Jak arrived in the Omniverse. It is believed he arrived amid the second or third wave of primes.

What is known, however, is that he exited the Nexus (into what verse is unknown) and was confronted by a rip in the verse. Stepping through, he entered the Void, and from there, he was ushered into a pocket verse filled with raw omnilium.

Some might call it stupid luck that the producer, an otherwise normal man with nothing unique aside from a creative mind, stumbled upon a temporary entrance to the Void. For Karl, the event instead gave him renewed purpose and made him believe that he was doing Omni’s work. He wholeheartedly believes that Omni led him on this path to provide him with the opportunity to give his ideas new life in the Omniverse and create the first verse-transcendent event since the height of the war with Diablo.
