Thanks - Caira Ayryn - 12-31-2014 Hey guys, I am new to this site and don't know anyone very well, but as I was getting familiarized with the rules, the website's format, and just the theme of the roleplay in general, there was a mod that helped me 100% of the way. And while everyone has been busy for the holidays, manning the fort has been Sarah, and I wanted to create a sort of "Thank You" post to start the new year, just to show her how grateful we are for her endurance and dedication- as she was on and helping the site flow even while she was sick and over the holiday. It's impressive and frankly, I think that it deserves some merit. So I hope everyone who sees this post and wants to show their appreciation will sign it in whatever uniquely beautiful way they feel inspired to do so. Honestly, I can't say it enough, Thank You Sarah Re: Thanks - Fawklin - 12-31-2014 Here here. I also want to add the layout of the site is os much less cluttered than most of the other post/play forums I've been on, the only one I have stayed with and participated other than story posts.I applaud the Mods and Makers and Players. Thanks. Re: Thanks - Isabelle - 12-31-2014 Thank you Sarah for being so so helpful. Thank you for being so patient with us. Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for being such a wonderful person! ~<3 Re: Thanks - Guu - 12-31-2014 Lopunny Wrote:Thank you Sarah for being so so helpful. Thank you for being so patient with us. Re: Thanks - Simon - 12-31-2014 I also want to give my thanks for putting up with me. It has always been a personal fear of mine that I may act like a fool or a burden, so you've been a big help by somehow managing to deal with it. Re: Thanks - Doomguy - 12-31-2014 I've only been here for a few days, but I feel welcome because the community is so friendly and the mods (Sarah in particular, who's been doing so much even while sick!) have been extreme helpful. I want to thank the mods and just everyone for what they've done so far, and I feel like I now have a reason to stick around. So thank you, and a happy new years for everyone! Re: Thanks - Dark Link - 12-31-2014 Sarah is probably (no pun intended) sick of hearing me praise her all the time, but she really is amazing. Even though she's been staff for a very short time, she's been more than pulling her own weight around here and coping with her responsibilities quite well in spite of the real life problems she has been experiencing as well. It really is not an exaggeration to say that if it weren't for her, the Omniverse would have long ceased to function properly. So I very much applaud the creation of this thread and give Sarah my sincerest thanks for everything she's done so far. However, I do think it's worth pointing out that Proto and Omni deserve some credit as well. Even though he's been rather busy, Proto has been trying to keep everything updated and help Sarah out as much as he can. Also, though Omni has been mostly preoccupied with his health, he still shows up whenever he can and answers member questions in spite of the fact that his current condition makes it very difficult for him to do so. So I thank them as well and I wish Omni a speedy and successful recovery. Lastly, while we're expressing our gratitude to everyone, I would also like to add that there is another group of people that deserves some praise...and that is all our recent newcomers. We've all spent our fair share of time within various online communities, so I'm sure we've all had experience with (to put it mildly) unpleasant new members. If we had such people joining the website right now, an already difficult situation would be made even worse. However, that hasn't been the case. Not only have many of our new members turned out to be talented writers, nearly all of them have been class acts OOC-wise as well, behaving properly and actively engaging themselves with the rest of the community. They are part of the reason why visiting the Omniverse has been a very pleasant experience, so my gratitude goes out to them as well. As the year draws to a close, the Omniverse finds itself in an interesting situation. Due to most of the staff being either absent or out of commission, the administration of the site has been somewhat challenging. Yet, at the same time, the website is still doing great, remaining quite active even during the holiday season. So even though there have been problems, the RPG has been quite successful. There is nothing we can't accomplish with a great community such as this, so let us work together to make 2015 an even better year for the Omniverse. ![]() Re: Thanks - Atelos - 12-31-2014 Thank you everyone for being such a friendly and supportive community, and thank you Sarah for keeping the seams all together. Re: Thanks - Omni - 01-06-2015 Yeah I'm pretty amazed we've had so many newcomers over the holidays and Sarah's been the lynchpin holding this place together. Words kind of fail me. Proto's been awesome to help out as much as he has, too, with his teaching job. Hence my mod post bump, I know the community is eager to help and I know when it's time to delegate ![]() Re: Thanks - Proto Man - 01-06-2015 Yea, thank you for filling in a little more whilst I was on vacation, Sarah <3 |
