SP - Handsome Jack - 05-15-2017

Are you including an increased SP pool like in the first DA, or no?

RE: SP - Karl Jak - 05-16-2017

Nope. It's not game-breaking, so there's no reason to nerf high level characters.

RE: SP - Handsome Jack - 05-16-2017

I mostly asked because you're using Thaal's Fight Grading Rubric and it includes the following:

Quote:SP Usage
For set-length fights: Add +1 per SP used to the writer's total score.

For organic/ongoing fights: Add 2 points per SP used to the total score of a writer at the end of each round. This should effect damage. A Super Attack and a Super Defense of the same level cancel each other out, but a defense of a lower level reduce the "SP Used" by however many SP it cost (ex: A Tier 3 Super Attack is used, and then a Tier 1 Super Defense is used. Act as though the attacker used 2 SP, for a total of +4 to the score.)

Which gives contestants such as Tearen (level 8) a significant advantage over a level 1 character. That said, there ARE ways to "even the odds", so to say, so it's fine the way it is too. Just good to have some clarification on it.

Yea, there are ways for lower-level characters to deal, but I didn't like the idea of just straight handicapping people who have dedicated time and energy into their characters.

RE: SP - Omni - 05-17-2017

If I level up mid-competition, do I gain that extra SP immediately?

RE: SP - Karl Jak - 05-18-2017

Nope. Your max SP is locked in when purchases become locked.
