@Ams: Alt forms are (mechanically) a physical change in form, unless you want to rp otherwise. So someone would likely need insight to see though it (unless you OOC want to let them).

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Oleander - 10-30-2017

I was asking in regards to a move. XD I'm basically asking "is mind control a thing in the Omniverse, and is it plausible for a character concept."

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Alex - 10-30-2017

Stuff like that's been done before. I'd advise going through the Move Approval threads to try and find some examples.

I know that one's stats already influence just how effective moves can be, but is it possible to make moves that are directly influenced by stats? For example, a move that lets you attack a number of times at once based on your ATK, or a move that defends a given amount of area based on your DEF?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Clownpiece - 10-31-2017

Is it okay to use other people's super utils in a post of your own, provided it's not targeting an enemy and permissions and such were sorted about beforehand?
Like, if I wanted someone to use a single-post buff of mine in their post, and they were cool with it, would that be doable?

I think that you can do this.

Unless Omni/Alex wanna overrule me, I'd have to say no since the current wording of the Super Moves rules specifically says "your post".

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Blink - 10-31-2017

I can't overrule Mark, but I do want to put my two cents in:

If its a PvE situation, I don't see a big deal. But in a PvP thing, where turn order is usually pre-determined, it definitely could be an issue.

No. When you buy a move you're setting parameters for that move so they can't change. It's understood that the move might deal somewhat more damage or a wall might be somewhat more resilient but it wouldn't be able to go further or do incrementally more damage if you have higher stats.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Oleander - 11-01-2017

Insight and Mimic question!

Alright, so pretend I have Insight, alright? I check someone's moves, learn it... Can I take a move and make a minion-type creature that sort of "manifests this move" without Mimic? Clause in this being that it is not an immediate copy, but one learned over natural progression and using that move as a "foundation."

For example, this character meets Goku... Goku uses Ki Blast... Theoretical character copies the power, then recreates it as a minion that does that move. Does he need Mimic if its done after a fight

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 11-01-2017

As in, basically buying the move (or a something similar to it) with your own OM?

Yeah, you can do that. Should probably get permission, but you can do that without mimic.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Mark - 11-01-2017

You can buy the move used on you without Mimic, sure, but to me it sounds like you want a move like "Mimic Turret" that lets you have a minion attack for you with a move you're copying. It seems to me that you'd need an Assist to accomplish something like that, because it would allow you to sidestep stuff like "my move requires my character to stand still and constantly focus".

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Jack Darby - 11-01-2017

Question. Are Moves that take an enemy's move, and return them at them allowed?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 11-01-2017

@Matt: Just get the mimic power. That's literally what it's for. Copying and using other people's moves against them.

Also, if you meant taking someone else's move (as in, stealing it temporarily so they can't use it) that's doable. But it'd need a drawback and it probably won't be for long. You'd also need mimic unless it was restricted to basic weapon moves only or something like that (see Demetri's roster, he has a similar move to that).

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Handsome Jack - 11-01-2017

If you're talking a "reflection" type deal, that's also allowed.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Jack Darby - 11-01-2017

What would be required for a Reflection type thing?

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Ebonywood Hellscythe - 11-01-2017

@Matt: Take this to the more workshop. As in, try and write a reflection type more there.

For refrence, Renji has a move on his roster which hits a ranged attack back at someone. But that doesn't mean that's the only way to do it.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Clownpiece - 11-02-2017

Could I, for whatever dumb reason I'd actually need this for, apply a super buff to an assist?
Like if I was suddenly thrown into a fit of madness and decided my fairy could really use a +8 ATK buff, is that allowed?
I'd assume so but you know what they say about that >.>

Yup, that's fine.

RE: Quick Questions (please read the OP) - Guu - 11-02-2017

Stupid questions, does Omnlium have an established flavor? Like if a secondary popped a coin into their mouth, what would it taste like?
