Walking down white halls with tiles sterilized and mopped twice a day someone short in height but almost canine in appearance and body was making their way down towards a near by office. Pink mixed with white fur while ribbons trailed along side of them, however they seemed to have on a lab coat with a named etched into it.

Dr. Sorrel, it would say, made her way around the corner of another hall, seemingly heading towards the office section of the clinic, passing by nurses and patients alike. She was a Sylveon, feminine in appearance but surely didn’t act in such a way when it mattered.

As she stopped next to a door she would raise one of the ribbons on her body and turn the knob, walking in as she noticed right away who was here. “Dr. Casenger? May I come in?” She mentioned, only slightly holding the door open, indicating she wished to wait before being allowed to come inside.

On the other side of the door Ricter, who was looking more feral today than usual as he had yet to really control the random transformations he has been going through. He would look over to the door, sitting at his desk and writing something, or at least practicing to do so with his paws. “Yes, I’m not up to anything at the moment Dr. Sorrel.”

On walking in she would see his office for the first time after renovating the room to fit some of his things, it was filled with cabinets and even had a hydroponics basin near by. Moving towards him she couldn’t help but look at them, then at the piles of papers that needed to be filled out every day, something she had yet to start on.

Coming over to the front of his desk she would inspect the plants that were growing, some looked like crops while others were flowers she recognized, mostly for remedies the clinic was low on. The type of plants that were expensive to get but just as hard to grow, “I see you’ve grown comfortable in your new office, how do you like it?” She asked.

Ricters eyes scanned over the room for a bit, it was well lit and even more so dusted and cleaned to make the storage closet actually feel a lot less like one. With all the things pulled out of here it actually seemed to have just enough space to give off a professional vibe, besides the stoat wasn’t complaining.

“Well given my office before hand was the day room, I’d say I like it, means I can get work done with out the threat of kamikaze coffee spills bombing my paper work.”

“Any other complaints I should list?”

“Besides this one locked cabinet, none that I can think of right now.” He would indicate by trying to open it but it would seem he was unable to do so.

Sorrel would smirk, almost stifling a giggle at his use of words, but as she walked over and sat down in a chair she could see what he was currently working on and noticed how he was writing. She gave a surprised look, one that made Ricter wonder why she seemed so surprised, it was paper work they filled out all the time, from keeping records of prescriptions they had given out too people treated.

“What? Did I make a mistake on one of the sheets?” Ricter asked in a causal manner, not trying to be rude at all.

“Ah sorry, its just that your hand writing, for someone who doesn't have thumbs your able to write fairly well, heaven knows I’ve tried my best to do so with my own but my ribbons have take those worries of using my teeth.”

She joked, making him snicker a bit as he had the same idea in mind when he was transformed back to this form. But practice made perfect and he had experience writing before, all it took was a few adjustments, not too mention he had to wield his sword somehow while like this.

“Yeah, that was what I was going to do till I took the time just to learn, cant say it was fun though, I felt like a kid trying to draw a perfect circle. Anyways, so how are you doing? I’m sure you didn't come by just to have a casual conversation with me. Don't tell me I have another away mission to go on.”

Shaking her head she would pull off her glasses and begin to clean them, all with the use of her multiple ribbons that doubled as extra limbs. “Not this time, but your right in saying I didn't come for a back and fourth with my college, but there are some things that need to be said.”

Pausing, Ricter would just let her speak, stopping his work for the time being as she began explaining. “Since you’ve come here we’ve had a much larger turn out, not only that but you’ve done many of the things our doctors cant do, or better yet cant do alone. So, I would like to congratulate you on your successes and would like to offer you, this.”

Pulling out a key and placing it on the desk, Sorrel would look at his reaction as she smiled, which made him wonder what was going on. Even picking up the key and examining it, “A key? Am I going on some sort of treasure hunt?” Always skeptical of her given that elder tree’ent fiasco she just laughed openly and pointed.

“Well you wanted to have that cabinet opened, there is the key. Congratulations on your gift.”

Pouting Ricter would frown as he place the key into the slot, “Yay, more space for my papers, how can I ever thank you, Sorrel.” Sarcasm was dripping form his tone as he opened it. But instead of seeing nothing inside he would see something else, it looked like a framed picture.

Inside of the frame though, as he pulled it out, their were words which he read off openly to the Sylveon across from him. “By the power of our faculty and staff, we here by certify that Ricter Casenger is certified as a healing physician for the containment of disease and prevention.” His eyes opened up at this, not for it being surprising, but just for having something with his name on it.

For him, he was rarely ever appreciated, sometimes people just used him, he’s healed so many while some would even dare to try and hurt him afterwards. Maybe it was because his judgment of people was so poor, but he never felt like he was a force for good when everyone took his powers for granted, or felt entitled to it.

That is until he came here, to this universe, the omniverse had their fair share of characters who were selfish and would treat him no differently than what he went through in his previous life. Yet he hasn’t endured that feeling here at all, from all the people he’s assisted many wished nothing more than to give him praise and recognition.

It was a feeling that he was growing to love, it made him want to do more for help others, though Sorrel was careful to show him that helping others had caveats to it. But this gift seemed to have more impact on the weasel than anything he could have gained from almost anyone else in this world.

It held a lot of meaning and now as he looked back to her he would smile softly, trying to not get emotional as Dr. Sorrel would interject on anything he was about to say. “Don’t mention it, its a small thing we could do for you. Just remember, in our profession, we heal those who cant help themselves, the ability to help others recover is a gift that others shouldn’t take lightly. Don’t ever feel entitled to do so.”

Listening to her words he simply got out of his chair, walking over to the wall he placed it on a shelf, keeping it there while saying nothing, but as he walked back to his chair he would reach out a paw towards the Sylveon. Almost like offering a hand shake.

The gesture would be returned, using one of her ribbons to wrap around his paw and gently move it up and down. “I know, I guess I’ve been really hung up on how people feel about me. I’ve never really gotten much recognition before. But I do thank you and everyone here for what you’ve given me on coming here.”

“That’s a very round about way of saying something we all have to deal with, just don’t worry so much. No one here would ever wish to use you for personal gain.” She chimed in after he was done, pulling her ribbon away as Ricter did the same for his hand. Staying put for a few seconds before Sorrel looked over to the certificate and then back to him.

“Everyone appreciates you here, and will continue to do so, patients, doctors, nurses, everyone. If you ever feel like were abusing you feel free to take time off, or leave, we’ll understand, just know that when we send you out to do things its not to use you. We cant go for risk of death, and surely you’ve experienced it before, what its like to die and be reborn. We...Don't have that luxury.”

Ricter knew this well enough, why he was sent out on so many missions for the clinic, mostly because he was the only Prime here in the clinic that had some form of combat experience and was capable of doing things others would dare. Like fighting monsters or Orc bands just for a simple item or two.

The stoat knew full well that they were exploiting him, and it was all for the greater good, helping him slowly complete his goal of finding the cure to all illnesses. So as Sorrel explained Ricter shook his head, “Its fine, you don't have to worry so much about me, I know its for a good reason, you wouldn’t ask anyone else because I know I'm capable, you know I’m capable as well.”

The pokemon nodded back, smirking, “Exactly, besides you seem to work well alone, I know you’d hate for me to add my own brand of intellectual commentary while out on an away mission with you.”

At her mention of this he would shiver, Dr. Sorrel was a good person but she was very pompous sometimes when it came to comparing herself to others. This was purposeful, mostly to mess with him, or better yet gloat about eh own achievements that were hard earned and warranted it. But after the sixth time it gets a bit old.

“Yeah, how about no, speaking of away missions is there anything else we possibly need? I looked in my emails and found little to nothing in relation to them. Mostly surgeries and the new patients list.”

Being Ricters boss and the co-owner of the clinic the Sylveon was confused, bringing out her phone as Ricter typed away on a laptop next to him, another skill he had to learn with the use of having just paws. Turning the computer to her she would look at the email and read it after adjusting her reading glasses on her face.

“That seems like the right email I sent, but I thought I had at least something for you to do, especially since surgeries for you take only a half hour or so of work. Knowing how hot headed you are, I'm sure you want something else to do that involves combat.”

Her tone was just as you would expect, a bit of a mix of know it all complemented by a soft grin. “Hey, I need to get stronger some how, best way to do that is by testing my strength against others.” He said with a flustered expression, trying to explain himself.

“You sound like a battle maniac.”

“I- I’m not a battle maniac!”

Laughing Dr. Sorrel would smirk, adding. “You make it sound like you are when almost every adventure you’ve been apart of has involved someone getting hurt or a battle of some kind. But enough teasing, as a Prime I guess it is in your nature to wish to grow in power, if you would like you can go look at the job board. Maybe find out if there are any fun activities you can get yourself into.”

Thinking for a second Ricter would lean back in his rolling chair, spinning around as he looked up at the ceiling. “I’ve looked into it before, the board is more stylized for rescue teams, at least low tier ones.”

“Oh? Sounds like someones too good to do some simple jobs around town Mr. Entitled.”

“Its not like that, its just that...well...fine, I guess that's a fair assumption. I'm fine staying here to work with everyone, at the same time I know my other skills would be useful in helping keep people safe out there in the greens. This place can be pretty dangerous, its how I found Vee, with out me being there she would have ended up being eaten by those goblins.”

A true statement, which made the sylveon wonder how they could have their doctor help them here but also have his skills be useful elsewhere. But she couldn’t think of anything that would really work out well, his reasoning was sound but as an adult he had to make a choice.

“We’ll talk about this more in a little while, for now I’ll leave you too your work, just remember you cant help all the people all the time. You might be able to live forever, but for everyone else, you can’t undo death.” She knew something he didn't, she could see it in his eyes, he had yet to lose a patient at least not one strictly under his watch.

This was a lesson he would have to get through on his own, but wither he liked it or not it would happen, and no matter what he thought about trying, it would change his opinion forever. She didn’t want to force it, and she herself had no clue if it would happen sooner rather than later, but the fairy type pokemon knew this is what was keeping him from seeing the truth and extent of his power.

The flora that dotted the clearing were just as lush and lively as it always is here in the Tangled Greens, from tall jungle tree’s that mixed in with forests, bushes, and other plants- to many other forms of organic light as well that dotted the area. In the middle of the clearing a meadow of white flowers thrived here for some reason, being plucked and picked up by someone who seemed to be taking them into a bag and then closing it once it seemed to be full of them.

Looking around, Ricter inspected the area, he had been sent here to collect a few herbs for the hospital. It would seem their resources were dropping now, and so he was to be sent out on long standing missions out into the Tangled Green’s to find and fetch items for them. Mostly to ensure that they had certain herbs for medical supplies, which he had no problems doing for his boss and for the well being of the people who lived in Ambrosia.

Looking down at the flowers, they were almost pure white along the petals, while the stem was a nice rose color, as well as the little stems that came off the middle of the flower. He’d watch as a small bee landed on it, cuddling and rolling along the pollen laced flower before flying away. Going off to make more flowers and possibly making it easier to find fields like this again in the future.

What he needed was actually the red stems, the petals made for a nice ointment but the stems held a potent drug that could be used as a temporary pain suppressor if mixed with the right ingredients. This would replace the medicine they needed normally and would allow them to better improve trade too and from Ambrosia if they made more of their own medicines and herbs.

Once his trance was broken though he looked over to someone sitting near one of the tree’s on the edge of the tree line. Relaxing there seemed to be a mouse or rat of some kind, he had an all white coloration to his fur, his nose was a pink color while his tail and inner ears had a gray coloration. The male seemed to be asleep, and even more so looked like they didn’t wish to get up as the weasel made his way over to them.

“Simon? I got everything, lets go.”

The rodent would perk up once his name was called, groaning as he looked over to the field and then back up to Ricter who looked back down to him. Slowly standing up and stretching, he was nearly at his height, standing at around 5’2” ft, fairly short but only around the average of a young pre-teen.

“Finally done? You took forever just to pick a couple flowers.”

“Its only been 10 minutes, your just not used to your body yet, probably why you get so tired all the time.”

The doctor informed as Simon frowned, giving a small glare as the previous gangster would dust off his jacket and shirt. Prior, Simon was the criminal boss behind a group of rats that terrorized many civilians, however as he was laying on his death bed Ricter gave him the choice of death or life under him, it was pretty obvious what he picked.

Now, he had a new body, probably made by Ricters own power. Not only this but is soul had been locked with in a gem that was now placed on the cross guard of the sword the weasel wielded, ensuring he would stick by him no matter what unless he wished to die, and given he was a secondary he resented the power that was now held over him.

“Why don't you just fix it? You told me you needed help on this damn fetching quest to get your clinic some weeds. If you really need my help I don't think handicapping me is the smart.”

Ricter raised a brow, mulling it over, at least he was wise enough to know that he purposely made his body less healthy in regards to how much he could do. His immune system was lower, making him feel tired after just small activities, in addition he was physically weaker in regards to just his strength over all.

“You did say you wanted a second chance Simon, so this is it. Besides you’ll be fine, as for the reason why I needed you along, there are certain plants around here that can cause massive defects too someone who walks along. So if I get entranced by one I’d need your help to break out of it, or a better excuse is I nneed an extra pair of eyes.”

Simon scowled at his example, “So you trust me enough for me to get you out of that kind of situation, but not enough to actually fight something. Next time don’t bother lying and just tell it too me strait.”

He seemed stand offish, which was understandable since Ricter was bad at lying, however he didn’t enjoy telling him the truth of just saying he didn’t trust the man yet, mostly because he hadn't warranted trust. Previously him and his sons had caused the destabilization of an entire town, while he was bed ridden and close to death he had ‘killed’ him and took his soul with the promise of giving him a second chance to maybe change his life for the better.

He offered him a new body to cure his illness that he couldn’t solve or fix, at least not at the time. So when it came to the present he was no longer trapped inside of the gemstone that was inside of his sword, instead though he was capable of summoning Simon in his now physical manifestation.

Of which he detailed every bit of himself and how he wished to look, something that took well over a couple hours given how vain the man was about appearances, however it was different from his original appearance. The fact that he was using his real name right now only showed that he knew they were alone, any other time he would address him by something else.

“Lets just go..”

Ricter responded back eventually as they began walking, the two were deep inside of the Tangled Greens, so far in that the tree’s were a different coloration all together. Plants were unique, from upside down tree’s, too simply bugs that resembled flowers that crawled away from them when the two got close.

Simon was walking in behind Ricter, looking up at the sword on his back, the broad sword was large and balanced to be both heavy but easy to swing depending on how you wielded it. It was inside of a leather sheath, nothing fancy, but had a few buckles to ensure anyone could carry what was inside once strapped to your back or side.

Not that he was planning on stealing it, that would only happen if he had enough gusto to attempt to fight Ricter over it. The main thing about the weapon though was the fact that it held a gem stone along the cross guard of the blade, this stone was where Simons soul was located, or at least would be pulled too once he was called to come back.

This could happen at any time, or by his understanding, after a few seconds of the weasel holding the overly large weapon that was nearly as long as his body. From their past meeting he understood what the stoat was capable of, he wasn’t too strong, but hie pelt was like trying to hit a wall.

Even worse was the fact that bullets just bounced off him sometimes, an annoying feature for when he planned on escaping this little hold he held over him right now. Surely he could pout about not being trusted, however he was right to do so, after all who in their right minds wouldn’t think about having freedom once again after someone willingly gave them a second chance at life after old age and sickness stunted their lively hood.

Being the boss of a mafia organization that held power for some long years before being taken down and forced to be like some pet to a kid? Yeah, no, that would be horrible for anyone's reputation, however luckily for him no one knew he was still alive. For all they knew he died in his home of a heart attack, at least that's what Ricter ensured of.

So this was his big break, however the only thing stopping him was the weasel who was currently clearing the path of a few vines, pushing them to the side with his paw. Looking up, Simon noticed the time of day, it was getting to mid afternoon, a time period he recognized after being above ground for a few days. Living underground for years had that effect on you.

“Hey, its getting dark, lets park it somewhere for now before we end up getting jumped in the middle of the night.” The rodent mentioned as Ricter stopped and looked back, both staring at one another for a few seconds before the weasel nodded.

“Yeah that sounds like a good plan, I’ll clear out an area for us to sleep and set up tents, wana make a fire and maybe get some food?”

The offer seemed sound and Simon seemed to give a thumbs up, his face neutral but he showed his support to the idea. “Sure”

After the two had figured out arrangements Ricter got strait to work, he would stop in a small section of flat ground, everywhere was lush with nature and uneven takes to hills and what not. Yet here it seemed mostly like the tree’s made for natural protective points given their large side. In addition the grass was short enough to not warrant cutting it ‘link style’.

So firstly he’d begin by up rooting and chopping away large plants that were in the way, they didn’t need too much room, maybe two or three meters of room to set up some living space and a fire to sleep near. In the mean time Simon was doing just that, grabbing sticks off branches and trying to get some fodder for a fire. Including some dry sticks and twigs to actually use for it..

Both Ricter and Simon carried no real items or even bags besides the one that contained all the herbs Ricter ust picked not too long ago. His plan was simply to make all the things they needed by this odd power that Omni gave him, the ability to just manifest things out of thin air with a bit of though. So after some moments of concentration he would form what seemed to be two tents, side by side with one another. While the other was a little larger for Ricter to keep himself inside.

The fire was lit not too soon after this was finished, starting small as the straw, grass, and plant matter burned and began to be kindled into a small pit of fire that hopefully wouldn’t be put out too soon.

Looking over to Ricters handy work, the rodent remarked on how well ‘made’ the tents were. The tents made for a nice shelter from the cold and possible rain that would come down on them later on in the night. “Nice work, I wish I could just summon things out of thin air. Wait- why the hell couldn’t you just make those flowers just appear out of no where if you have the power to make anything.”

Ricter has explained this to someone else before but was happy to say it again, “Making copies of things don’t replicate the effects or powers of it unless I know what it dose and its genetic make up. Or can replicate the powers somehow myself. Even then me making it wouldn’t really do much but make a deluded fake copy.”

His explanation seemed sound, but given Simon was a secondary he didn’t understand the mechanics of crafting things out of thing air, if anything he was just happy to know the basics of how it worked. However he was also envious, he wanted that kind of power, wanting nothing more than to make and create things that could change the very world around him.

So much power, if he had it in his hands he could very well become as powerful as those Primes who were so notorious no one dared to challenge them or they faced what ever wrath they could bring down on them. However for now he dealt with the hand he was given, but that wouldn’t stop him from trying to maybe pick up a few extra cards from his front sleeve in this ‘game’ they were now playing.

“Sounds complicated, well anyways the fires done. You coming with me to go hunting for food or were you just going to ‘think up’ some burgers for us?” Simon questioned.

“Uh Maybe we can hunt something, taste doesn't improve just because I remember what it is.”

Plus he didn’t want to exhaust himself by making food also, he needed to stay up a bit as well, after all they had to take shifts. Not that fighting would be any more exhausting, however the next question Simon gave would make things a bit more interesting dynamic wise.

“Gona give me a weapon then? I can’t very well hit a deer with my fist.”

“Sure, what did you want?”

Simon smirked, “Just a pistol.”

Ricter knew he wasn’t the swordsman type of person, and besides guns were more effective, faster, and better at almost every range. But giving him an automatic weapon felt like a terrible idea. Especially with what he could do with it. Though he was a little cocky, surely he couldn’t hurt him, even with a fully automatic weapon.

So he’d give it to him, thinking for just a minute or so he formed what looked like a M9 pistol, it was as close as someone could get to replicating how it looked with out being someone who could use it or better yet someone who even wants to use it. Handing it to Simon the rodent would inspect it.

He would take it apart, place it back together, then inspect the clip, “Good job, for someone that sucks ass at shooting a gun its nearly perfect.” Pocketing it, he placed it against the waist band of his back, getting up in the mean time as the weasel was already standing now.

“Alright, we just need something small, berries work too. We don't have too long to go back to Ambrosia but we just need enough food to make it there.” The weasel instructed as Simon seemed more chipper, probably because he finally had something to defend himself.

Especially after the fact that on coming here they had been harassed by multiple animals that wanted to nibble on the two of them. Either way he smirked, “Sure, but I think I like meat much more, lets go hunt something big.”

Ricter sighed at his recommendation, shaking his head as he looked around, with where they were it was best to find small animals or fruits, part of him wished he could go for something big but he wasn’t that hungry, nor was he interested in wasting food.

“Lets just look for food, we can split up if you want.” The stoat advised.

“Sounds good to me, be back when I find something.”

Ricter had enough trust for him to go off on his own, again if he wanted to run away he could just bring him back, however he still felt wary of what he was thinking of doing now. “Well then, see you in a bit then.” Ricter made his way off first, glancing back to Simon as the mouse just waved to him as he left.

Now that he was alone he would look around the camp, examining the tents, searching each one for anything but finding nothing of real use or helpfulness. Since Ricter carried everything all he had on his person was his sword and his side bag with the flowers, or he thought he did, not until he looked into the weasels tent did he find that same bag laying there.

“He left it here? Hm, guess that's smart, don't want it to get messed up or damaged.” Though not smart to leave it here with him, still why even bother to grab it? He could destroy the flowers, though the weasel would obviously find out and either just return him into the gem, or better yet beat the tar out the mouse and force them to go back to the flower field to pick more.

But he had a plan in mind, one that would get him out of this silly situation and also gain his own freedom to ditch the weasel and never have to bother with him again. His plan was to get some monster to maybe come by and ransack the place, he would hide and wait for Ricter to kill it before coming back surprised. If he wasted enough of the weasels energy he would be easier to steal from when they actually went to sleep.

Plus all he needed was Ricters sword and he could make his way off, especially now that he had a few bullets to his name, maybe Simon would even get as far as the gate. If he could make it past all the hazards that dotted this universe alone.

Waking up was hard on days off, mostly because you didn't want to get up, rather stay in and sleep for a couple thousand hours and hope the world just implodes or something so you didn't have to worry about going back to work. Exaggerated, but it was close enough to the truth on how Ricter felt right now as he was currently laying in his room, the door closed while the clock would show that it was well around noon and that he was in a tangled mess of pillows and blankets over his body and head. He only groaned occasionally when his internal alarm clock would tell him to get up but he would try to ignore it, waking up only too see how bright it was outside and around the room before flopping around and then finding a spot where the pillows were the coldest and laying his head on there till it eventually got warm again from his body heat.

He was only in a pare of pjs and a green shirt, seemingly having gotten some clothes to wear, or just manifested it out of nothing like he was getting more and more accustomed too by the day. It had been around 12 days since he came to this realm, and exactly the same amount of days since he walked into that porta and became one of omnis fun little play toys. Granted omni seemed like one of those guys who liked to watch rather than touch so he had no qualms with him at the moment, in fact he was starting to enjoy his life here, it was getting to become more cemented every day and the weasel was getting used to it to some degree. He still wanted to go home though, and would aim to take that chance when given the opportunity, but he was more so happy to just be alive through all the small things that have been happening.

Namely that time he fought darkspawn and ran away to safety, part of him promised he would never go there again but he kinda felt like he should, not just to practice but to also learn about that lotion and why the blight was a thing in the first place. He knew that the way to cure a blight was to fight some sleeping god thing which he had no interest in since well...it sounded pretty intimidating, but maybe if he could find a way to cure something vague like that it would warrant some form of time spent just trying to explore that place. But he wasn't dumb, and wouldn't wish to stay there for any extended period of time, especially knowing the risk's of being captured and what not so he'd stay away for the time being, maybe he could find an instructor? Those didn't come too cheep but he did have the whole week end to do stuff, so might as well find something too do.

There was also visiting all of his friends, namely Elysia, Dovan, Maurice, Luis, and even the moogle twins whom he was currently living with. Starting to get up as he was in the middle of being half asleep and awake, an annoying feeling, he would begin to look around for his hose shoes, a pare of flip flops to walk and scoot around the room in. Yawning he would go into the bathroom and take care of his daily business, brush teeth, comb hair, take a shower, use the toilet and then step out. Looking around in the pockets of his doctors coat he would try to see if he had some extra omnilium in them, like pocket change or something, he'd find a bit, but not too much. Stepping out of the room after putting on some more civilized clothes he seemed to be a lot more awake now, not groggy or reducing himself to just grunts to any form of communication.

Walking down stairs he would notice that everyone was more or less enjoying their day, Vel, a male moogle with a blue ball on his head that was still in his pjs simply watched TV. Flicking through channels and not even bothering to greet Ricter who came down as the weasel smiled. “Good morning, Vel.” He’d say as it was met with nonintellectual grunts, like a cave man was trying to speak but was too lazy to even give it much effort. Only sparking a small snicker at how lazy Vel was on the week ends, looking around his sister Vee, and the one who had a red ball on her head, wasn’t around at the moment. He could guess she was up in the attic tending to her garden maybe, or simply trying to learn more about alchemy which he grew to be very fond of and in a way was happy he was able to learn so much about it.

It was the reason why his sword was so effective at healing others, mostly poisons but still a valid improvement to its normal skills and powers. Enchanting his sword with Vel’s skills using herbs and what not, cures for virus’ and diseases, and potions to make every cut more effective than the last. For which he enjoyed improving on, if it was in defense of his friends, patients, and practically family at this point, he’ do what was needed. Walking into the kitchen area he would look around for something quick to eat, which in this case would be a banana and some toast, munching on it he would head back up stairs and see that the hatch to the attic was down, so the weasel would make his way up there. Vee would hear him coming as the steps were older and made of wood but didn’t break under the pressure he applied to them, since the two residents besides himself flew around most of the time so they never got much use.

As he walked up anyone would notice rows of plants on grated tables that took up most of the space around the attic, they went from one end to the other and most were pushed together to seem longer than they were. On each of the tables she had a potted flower bed that took up almost all the space on each table, and on closer inspection each pot had its own label to them, no instructions though, but she probably knew what she was doing to the point that watering and tending to each one was just muscle memory at this point. Above them were some hanging plants, and on the walls they had a few shelves with more herbs that were scattered there, which was where she was currently tilting her watering can over.

The moogle was similar in appearance to her brother, a gray tint to her fur while also having blue eyes, she was around 2’5 ft tall and wore a simple pare of shorts and a sleeveless shirt as she ensured her herb got watered. Above he would notice that the roof was practically a window, this place looking more like a green house than any section of a home, allowing for sun light to be let in as only the surrounding walls helped keep the place looking somewhat like a home. “Good morning Ricter, its nice to see your finally up, I was worried you were just going to sleep in on a nice day like this. How was work last night? Tiring I take it.” She would ask him as he would seem to answer back with a scratch of his head, smiling a little bit.

“Yeah, sorda, we had someone come in who was missing a liver. We don't know how but we managed to regenerate it for them. That was on top of the small out break of black mold in someones home so we had to cure that too.”

If it wasn’t clear enough already Ricter was a doctor, having gained his job a day after coming into this realm, he was quite good at his job too. Managing to save lives and even cure those who had famous illnesses and things of that nature, always looking for something else he could do to help and or solve the problems that the clinic was faced with every single day.

The turn out, at least for his personal record, was well around thirty minutes to an hour at the most, which could be scaled down if he took special attention to help make sure you were out of there quickly but he also had to go by clinic policy of triple checking and the whole ‘getting everyone’s bio’ thing was sometimes a pain when the people who just came in for a broken arm would like to leave and go back to work the same day if they just repaired it. But it was a good policy, and so he’d stick by it, in the mean time Vee would smile and nod to his previous statement, fluttering over to him as she placed down her watering can on a table.

“I’m glad you were able to help them, wow its been only two weeks almost and you’ve done so much. Are you happy you choose to stay? Most Primes are too busy wanting to try their hand at traveling around, or something like getting into trouble. N-not to say I want to keep you here, you can go places if you want, just uh I’d rather you stay safe and not get hurt, ya know?”

Her concern was valid, he didn't know any of the realms outside of this one, the weasel has heard rumors of what the other realms looked like and maybe what exotic plant life and creatures they had there. But none of that really perked his interest, if anything he liked staying in Ambrosia, it was a nice little city that accepted everyone of any affiliation. Though given the time spent here he eventually heard about certain factions, those who wanted to run entire realms or take over certain ones for their own gain.

This worried him more than anything, that they would want to come here of all places and incite some war or something horrible on the people, better yet do harm directly to people who wanted no part in their silly antics. “You worry too much about me Vee, I’m pretty hardy, its not like I can't take a punch or anything. But I’ll be careful if I have to eventually go out and do something that’s not apart of this realm, hows the herbs and plants by the way?” Taking a small look around she seemed to be harvesting a few, or was in the middle of doing so as she would smile happily at this and go to grab her basket, Ricter walked with her and watched her begin to tug at an onion and pull it strait from the soil it was inside.

“So far so good, with that moss you gave me all my herbs and plants have matured almost every other day now. Its great! Now I don’t have to wait forever to test a new potion or something I wanted to do, also means I don’t have to spend money on a plant mage for a teacher. Though I still felt some kinda allure when it comes to that, oh well.”

Not completely giving up on her idea he could guess she still wanted to try it out, maybe he’d even fund her to go and learn a thing or two, after all she was his friend and he was getting paid well enough as is so why not? Helping her collect some of her herbs and learning how to treat some plants for small things like insect bites he would wonder what kinds of potions she had in mind to make. “What were you saving up all these herbs to make? Must be a pretty big potion if your harvesting all of these.” Ricter would comment as she took out a radish and placed it into the basket.

“Well some of these are just for dinner, others are for a certain something I was cooking up, once I’m done I’ll be sure to let you try it out.” Which raised a red flag for him as he wasn't the type to just drink anything, but she would see the expression he gave and giggle, clearing up what she meant. “Don't worry silly, its nothing bad, I wouldn't drug my best friend.” Giving him a small playful nudge as they both smiled to one another.

They would spend a few minutes simply tending to plant, not really talking too much about them as Ricter surveyed her collection and would look to see just how many she had up here. Given the attic stretched as far as the house did she had enough space for around two hundred different kinds of plants and herbs, but most seemed to be of the same ‘type’, or to put it better they could only be grown in average conditions. So anything special probably wouldn’t work out in this area, carrying her basket for her as they would come down from the attic he would ask about her plants some more, thinking about something,

“Have you ever thought about making little parts of your garden different for certain plants?” He’d say in a more so odd way, but she would understand him and give her ideas back as they waked into the halls and headed down stairs, not before pulling up the trap door to the attic. So it wasn’t blocking the entire hall way.

“Oh you mean like an environmental nursery, right? I have, but again that sort of thing will cost money, so I haven’t really invested in one. The Alchemy shop has one, its fairly nice too, but I’ve always wanted to have my own, you know?”

Nodding, having anything to yourself always felt good, especially if your earned it but it seems she had expanded a nice collection over all with what ever money she had on hand so maybe she was doing well and after a year or more she could get the things she was after. Coming down stairs it would seem Vel was actually up and about now, probably having passed the point of grunting and would actually address the two as they came into the kitchen where he was and placed a basket of veggies on the counter to be cleaned.

“Afternoon, hows the farming going?” Vel would ask, the moogle seemingly drinking a bottle of orange juice with a label having his name on it. Looking at the time it was the afternoon, which only prompted Ricter to wonder what plans should he go after today, their were plenty.

“It went well!” Vee would say, his sister smiling brightly as she ran the water in the sink and began washing off some of them. “Even got a few extra mushrooms, though they might go rotten before we get a chance to eat them.” She’d mention, which was odd that a fungus could go rotten, but they were pretty special and tasted nice from the last time he had them.

But Ricter would offer a solution, “I could cook them now and give them to a friend of mine? If you don't mind Vee.” Which she wouldn’t have to think about, she always wanted to share what she grew with other people, so in this case she was more than happy to agree.

“Sure! Tell me if they like them by the way, oh wait are you heading out somewhere?” Her tone inquisitive as Vel would look over to the two of them, not saying much but Ricter would answer back.

“Mhm I am, decided that I should go visit my friends, see what they were up too. Might even do a quest or two that's on the bulletin board.” Which was a simple board outside in the middle of town for people to place their problems and concerns for a price, it was nothing too amazing but it warranted some looking into as the missions varied and plenty of groups, solo adventurers and rescue teams looked into it every day to see what was on it.

“If you are you can take my mission if you want, my boss has been wanting to find an object that summons creatures. Said it would really make business boom if he could copy its effects and have it to where people can just make their own helpers, kinda skeptical about that since it sounds like he’s trying to fire me but I’ll say he’s probably got something else in mind.”

Hearing out his story he would think that kind of thing would be hard to find, a device or object that summons creatures? Eh, didn’t seem that hard to think of, but Vel’s boss did own the enchantment shop in which Vel was just a simple clerk, so maybe having that he could sell better wares, “Sure I’ll keep an eye out for something like that, so would any kind of item like that do the job?” Ricter would ask as Vel shrugged.

“Beats me, but I guess it would, though I think he might be interested in having a monster spawner, the stuff in games that immediately pop out monsters after a certain amount of time.” His example seemed to be a bit more spot on now, but seemed a tad dangerous too, since if he would have to find a monster spawner then he’d have to fight what ever it spawned. Hopefully it spawned nice butterflies, or harmless critters than some big fat ogre or giant that could step on him and flatten the weasel like a pancake.

Still, “I’ll keep my eyes open for one if I plan on leaving the city.” He’d say while taking the mushrooms and beginning to cook them, adding a bit of seasoning and herbs as both Vel and Vee instructed him prior on how to prepare this kind of meal.

While cooking he knew just who to go too first, and who would probably enjoy what he was preparing for them a lot as well. After all she did say to stop by for tea, though he hoped it was actually tea and wouldn’t taste horrible but he held faith that it wouldn’t be that, now finished after around five or so minutes of cooking he would place it into a container and then into his bag as he looked towards Vee who was still cleaning and snipping off a leaf or two and Vel who was flying upstairs to probably get changed.

“Alright see you two later, I’ll call you if anything happens!” Ricter stated as he would walk towards the door and grab his sword off the rack that was placed on the side of the wall for easier access.

“Okee dokee, see you later Ricter!” Vee would say as her brother followed, calling out from down the hall up stairs, loud enough to still hear, “Be careful if your taking missions off the board!” Which he appreciated the concern but he knew well enough to be careful when it came to anything like that. Waving good bye though he would soon open the door and walk outside, the air was as clean as it always was, a tad humid but he got over that some days ago while the sun was bright and shinny today.

Quote: This is a Fluid Time Dream that happened with Retane while I was away...Alex agreed to this and said it was fine.

"Is this it? Is this the place? Are we in the right Universe?" The green figure wore a red vest and loose black pants. His name was Dante. He looked towards the others as they all came out of the portal, hoping for confirmation.

"I- I don't know. I mean I think so. It feels right, but I can't sense him. We should be able to sense him right?" Reatus looked around, he was struggling to keep his posture, but he stood strong. He wore the same attire as his brother, but his was all dark grey.

"Of course, we should. We are his children. We use to be able to sense him, so we should be able to now." If there was a female of their kind, it was her. She wore a white cloak of her own design, to show that she meant harm to no one.

"So why aren't we able to then? Is it because we are in the wrong Universe?" It was Dante that asked the question.

"I still say we could have taken that guy. We never really needed father in the first place." He was the strongest of them all, always loving a fight, but too head strong to beat Dante in a one on one. He was named Triumpht and loved to live up his name. He wore the same colors as his brother but they were inverted.

"Triumpht, you just got your ass kicked. The only reason we are alive is because Reatus took the attack head on and Naturae shielded you both as well." Dante was mad and the veins close to his antennae showed it as they throbbed.

"Prove it!" Triumpht was the tallest of the group, barely when it came to Dante, and puffed his chest out trying to show off that he was the best they had.

"Hehehehe. If only he could see you guys now?" The fifth green sibling started to laugh at his brothers' trifles.

"Jack, is he reading your thoughts again?" Triumpht was the one that wanted to know.

"Did you really just ask Jack that?" Dante rolled his eyes as he spoke. They all could see Jack Frost looking away from them, but they all assumed that his face had a smirk on it.

"Maybe?" It was Krosst that answered.

"Will you guys focus?" Dante let out a low growl as he spoke. He realized he was part of the problem and hoped no one noticed.

"This is Earth, in his Universe. However, far off, I can feel his presence in other life forms. They are on other Planets. I cannot find his actual presence anywhere." The Guardian of Fun stared up unto the sky as he held his crooked staff that had a glowing orb in between it. His voice was solemn and pained, if one tried to take notice, but most were focused on their current situation.

The siblings all looked at the Guardian, but it was Naturae that spoke, "He is right. This feels like home to us, but there is also another planet that has our Kin. It is distant, but I can feel it. It's calling me, actually. I can feel our blood there, but I cannot feel our Father."

"Why not? Do you need us to lend you our energy to track him down?" Reatus was the one that spoke, and the other siblings, aside from Krosst looked at her hopefully.

"No. I don't think even with all our energy and Krosst doubling it, that we could find him." Naturae looked sad. "I should be able to notice him if he was here."

"Hmph." Jack Frost was the one that made the noise from his throat. "Retane is not here. He was once upon a time ago but, he isn't anymore."

The Namekians all looked at the Guardian, but it was Reatus that spoke, "Why not?"

"That is because he is gone." The group looked towards the direction of the voice, ready to strike. He hadn't been there a moment before. However, there he was now, clad in a dark orange and green attire.

"Ease yourselves, I am a friend." His name was Enroshia, and they recognized him from back from their own universe, Omniverse. He was a Mystic Elf, and the leader of the Lythians. He had once marked Retane because he believed Retane would be the one to become strong enough to be able to send them home. His belief became true. Retane, the God of Death actually managed to become strong enough to leave the Omniverse and return to his own universe, as well as send the Lythians to their own.

"What do you mean he is gone? And why are you here? What has happened? " Jack Frost, who knew Enroshia more closley, had to ask the question.

Enroshia took his time to note the battle worn crew and understood that they had just been roughed up badly. "He is gone, also known as no longer around. He was a God, but even they can perish." The Lythian furrowed his brow, "As for why I am here, even I am unsure. What has happened? And how and why are you guys here?"

The Omnians hesitated, still unsure as to what had happened and how to explain it. They all looked at each other as if trying to find the correct words that would explain what had transpired, without feeling foolish and explaining how they, the Descendants of Retane, had lost. Enroshia could feel their hesitation but felt that things were about to get a lot more dangerous, "I do not believe there is time to spare, so if one of you guys can lend me your hands please?"

The group looked at each other wondering who would be the one to step up, most looks ending up on Jack Frost, whom the Mystic had guessed would be the best option. "I need to hold both hands and need for you others to stand guard. I'm not the best at this and not only will it take all of my focus, it will also take time and energy. "

Jack looked away, hesitating for a moment, then made a step forward, it was Krosst however, that threw his hand out in protest, "Best for me to do it."

"Why you?" Dante and Triumpht looked at each other curiously then to Reatus, who was usually the one to offer himself up as a guinea pig, and finally towards Jack, who barely made an attempt to object.

"I see. That makes sense. Go ahead then!" Jack couldn't help but laugh, though it almost seemed forced.

"What's so funny? What did he say to you this time that no one else could hear?" It was Triumpht that had asked the question, while Dante squinted his eyes and shifted them to his brethren, thinking he may have figured the answer out.

"For the second question, Krosst would probably be the best to assist Enroshia in this endeavor because of his special talents. He can read minds, has probably seen all your thoughts, and might even be able to assist Enroshia in his technique making things faster. Strategically him being the terminal and me being free, puts us at a better position if we are attacked."

Triumpht shrugged conceding the logic, "And what was so funny about that?"

Frost tried to smirk and looked away, "He said he could even show our deepest most kept secrets."

-------------

Jack Frost and his significant other, Airyonna, laid against a tree, side by side. Three of Retane's children were close by, but far enough to give Jack, 'his space'. The other two were on their way. Airyonna, a female ninja of the Hidden Village of the Forest, had suggested the gathering. She knew it had been so long since they had all been together as a whole, and she wanted to try. Usually, Reatus would say he was busy with the Village; Triumpht and Dante were always out fighting and carrying on on their own; It was hard to call on Naturae, because when she wasn't around with the Ambrosia Kingdom, more people seemed to get hurt; Krosst was usually where ever Jack Frost was, so that was never the problem.

The five Nameks had only been together all at once, three times in their life. When they were in egg form with their brother, Probitas. When they joined the search to track down those that had kidnapped, tortured, and sadly killed Probitas. And when Retane left the Omniverse allowing his children to stay behind.

"I'm surprised you managed to make time for us." The Kunoichi laughed

"Time for us? You suggested this and we have ninja and Nameks tracking everything we do. I couldn't even throw a snow ball at you without interruption." The Guardian rolled his eyes and pointed off into the tree tops where a member of the Hidden Village stood on a limb, hugged close against the bark. In his second hand a ball of white fluff started to form.

The female ninja grinned. "You managed to do 'that' and more last time."

The Guardian shrugged his shoulders and dropped the small ball on the ground, giving up on his light threat, "And do you realize what drama that caused? Your father found out and now even Reatus can’t protect me from him."

"He's just worried because he doesn’t want things to be like what happened to him. You know, me losing you like he lost my mother."Airyonna looked away for a few moments and sighed, "I mean, I guess it couldn't have been easy raising the three of us alone after she passed."

Jack, the Guardian of Fun, Leader of the Horsemen, listened on and felt bad. Had Retane been there still, he would have been the one running the day to day business, as well as keeping an eye on the Namekian children, but it was Jack that now ran Horsemen and had to handle all the politics. This meant that his life was on the line, even more than Airyonna’s, at all times. He couldn’t find fault in the reasoning.

“Would you like me to retire? We could live in the village or go build our own place, maybe even use the old base…” Frost paused as he watched his betrothed shake her head.

“You can’t. You must not. I can’t allow you to. I refuse it!” Airyonna was flush red. “You agreed to watch after them, and swore to protect them. You can’t give that up.” The Kunochi's ethics and moral values were strong, especially when it came to keeping her word. She would never forgive herself if she let Jack Frost give up on his own, even if it was for her sake.

"Well", Jack chuckled, "It was a suggestion. Well more like a question, but you know what I meant."

Airyonna rolled her eyes and watched as the grass wavered as a cool wisp of wind swept across the clearing. She inhaled the fresh air and smiled at the tranquility of it all.

Jack watched her for a moment, watching her glow as if there was a different aura about her. He conceded that it was probably because it wasn't often that they actually got to spend time together without the threat of some preeminent battle, or some violent fight just ending. The Horsemen closed his eyes and pulled her closer, basking in the sun, glad that she had suggested the gathering, and happy that they had a few days of peace- There was a sudden crack and rip off into the distance as a tree top began to split and fall towards the floor of the forest.

"So, can I ask you something, " Jack offered, chuckling at the coincidence of the interruption from the sibling Namekians.

"Mhm." The Kunoichi never even flinched at the disruption of her peace. "But you already asked a question, so I assume you want another one, so go ahead."

"Well, what brought all this on? I mean, I get the location, and I know why kind of, but it's sudden and unusual for you isn't it? I mean, I think I know why, but I guess I really don't? I can't explain it but something seems a bit off." Jack lifted up on an elbow and rested on his side scratching at his head as he asked, trying to meet her eye to eye though her eyes remained shut.

"Off?" Airyonna cracked open an eyelid, all curious like then closed it and gave a huff. "I can't make a suggestion for us all to get together without things being 'off'?"

Jack let out a sigh as his hand slapped his own thigh as he searched for the words, "Maybe I've been in the Horsemen too long and I'm paranoid, but things are just off. You, for like the first time I've ever seen you out and about, aren't even wearing your ninja gear. You never let your guard down like this. It is a bit... Confusing? Interesting? Intriguing? I am not sure what word to use?"

The Kunochi opened her eyes slyly and raised a brow, “So you don't like how I'm dressed?" Airyonna, in fact, usually wore dark clothes with a belt as well as well as carried weapons of her trade. For once she was clad in loose light blue pants with a matching lightweight hoodie that zipped up. Both were made of silk and smooth to touch.

Jack shook his head and placed his hand on her stomach, "Absolutely not. It's just weird. Like I said, I've probably been a Horsemen for far to long. I'm sorry."

As Frost laid his hands on the silk, even though it was light, Airyonna shuddered lightly. The face she made was a twisted smile full of mixed emotion and Airyonna knew it. She wasn't sure if it was his own hand that was cool or if it was just the silk being lightly pressed against her skin and she squirmed a bit giggling softly. Jack raised his hand slightly confused then rested it back on her stomach again. The Kunoichi knew then, that she had even raised more questions in the Guardian's head because she was certain that this wasn't a time he had used his snowy powers on her.

She looked up at the clear blue sky and took a deep breath as her weird smile faded, "Ok, I'm going to tell you something, but I don't want you to have a big reaction or anything. I was wanting to wait until everyone got here so I could tell you all together."

The Leader of the Horsemen ran the possibilities through his head, figuring it to mean some promotion within the ranks and looked around at the tree tops for a few moments than looked back at her and nodded, "Deal."

Airyonna took in a deep breath and calmed her excitement, trying to alter her rehearsed speech just for him. " Well, I chose this spot because this is the clearing where we buried Probitas." Both their eyes glanced at the dark green mound in the center of the clearing before returning to each other and Jack nodded understanding that point.

"Well, before then, and even after, we've all been kind of a family in and out of each other’s lives. I don’t know when I realized this, but I guess it’s how Retane made all of us feel in the end. We've always had each other’s backs and everything, even after he left our universe to return to his own. Maybe it made us become even closer, and everything. I still fell guilt, just like many of my Village do, for the loss of Probitas..."

"Airyonna..." Jack muttered as he wiped away the tears that were forming in her eyes. He pulled her close, knowing that the subject had always been touchy for many people.

"We met here again, last time, to see Retane off, as he ascended in power and left us. Remember?" She watched as Frost nodded and she tried to continue, searching for the words, because she realized she was screwing up her prepared speech and babbling out of context almost. She calmed herself for a few seconds shaking her head and took in a deep breath.

"Jack, the time before he left, when we buried Probitas here, you remember that Retane looked at everyone and said that 'Innocence is dead'?" Airyonna saw Jack squint, trying to follow and she knew she just had to rush through it. "Well it isn't, is it? I mean every child born is still innocent right? You beleive that don't you? We are all a family, right? Me, you, Alaina, Krosst, Triumpht, Naturae, Dante, even Retane and Probitas if he was here? Right? Because I really need us to be! It's why I wanted everyone here so I could tell them all at the same time!"

Jack looked confused but nodded, "Yeah we are all family, what’s going on? Why is your voice so high? Are you sick?"

"Jack, I'm pregnant." Airyonna blurted the words hardly realizing she had said them.

"Congrats on the promo-" Jack was in mid hug expecting to be supportive of a promotion that she might be receiving but he paused mid action as if he had been hit with his own Ball of Fun.

He was flooded with emotions and feelings as he laid there for mere seconds trying to process what he had just learned, but it felt as if it was an eternity. She was pregnant. That meant that it was his. It meant that he was going to be a father. He would have a a boy or a girl of his own to take care of. The Prince or Princess of Fun. Wait, would she be okay because he was a Guardian? He was once human but was he technically human still? Would his ice and wind powers transfer over to their child? Would the child affect her during the pregnancy? Could she handle it if it did? And what of him being the Leader of The Horsemen? Sure, Retane had been able to do it as a father, but he wasn't Retane.

Jack Frost jumped to his feet, pulling Airyonna up with him, "You are serious about this right? You are going to be- I'm going to be- We are going to have a mphmh.."

The Kunoichi shoved a hand across the Guardian's mouth to muffle the end of the declaration, and in an attempt to calm him down, "You said you wouldn't have a big reaction!"

Jack paused for a few seconds and removed her hand, feigning his most serious stare, " I know. I know." Jack Frost took a deep breath and let out a sigh as he took a step back. "Honestly though that wasn't a big reaction. A big reaction would be something like THIS!"

Frost snapped his fingers as he kicked off into a back flip, putting a slight distance between himself and Airyonna. As he landed with a slight skid, his Crooked staff flew into his hand, the center of it glowing with a bright blue orb. Jack tapped the ground and within seconds the ground was rumbling and a huge pillar of ice shot up towards the sky. The pillar grew in thickness to double the radius of the surrounding grove of trees. The pillar itself stood much taller than the trees and branched out almost in an umbrella like fashion, but instead of leaves the Giant Frost Tree was covered in Snow Lilies.

"Oh wow!" Airyonna stood wide eyed looking at the ego-produced 'flora'.

"That's what she said!" Jack grinned.

"That's so big!" Airyonna exclaimed, not paying Frost any attention.

"Thats what she said", Jack repeated.

"It's beautiful!" The Konoichi was smiling ear to ear.

"That- err Yeah, sure! Thats what she said...?" Jack seemed confused on how that one would work.

"Oh my god, Jack!"Airyonna spun around with her hands reached into the air.

"That is definately what she s-" Jack paused as he saw the glare in his partner's eyes

"You are a fool." Airyonna gave up on her ruse of acting like she was impressed with his huge phylactic ego.

Jack Frost only grinned and scratched at the back of his head as an iced dome started to form up behind him from the roots of the Frost Tree, "Comes with the territory."

As the frozen dome completed and sealed the two inside, Jack dropped his staff and rushed towards Airyonna, grabbing her close and pressing his lips hard against hers. After a long pause of intimacy, the two separated from their embrace, both knowing a lot needed to be said but neither knowing where to start.

"You know they are going to start coming and knocking on your make shift ‘get a room' soon, right?" Airyonna was the one to break the silence.

"Yeah. And I can't keep you in here long anyways, it getting cold and all in here and everything." Jack looked down at the stomach area where his spawn now resides.

"I'm a ninja, Jack, and the Medical Officer I spoke with said there isn't any worry. Worst case scenario we wind up with a ninja that controls water and wind, element. Maybe more?" The Kunoichi rolled her eyes. "Besides, I'm semi-adapted to the cold hanging around you."

The Guardian still rose a brow, unsure how customs were exchanged, "Medical Officer? Just how many people know? Should I inform your father?"

Airyonna giggled as she saw Jack Frost blush with confusion and embarrassment. "The medical Officer was my sister, and other then you now, only my brother knows. Alaina insisted on telling him so that he could be a part of this too. After all he watched over ‘him‘ for a while till he was called away.”

“Tch… Uchitari! Get in here this instant!” She shouted, one fist banging on the table. There was a frantic cry from the hallway, and her personal assistant scrambled into the room, face a distinct shade of crimson. Tsunade squinted at the young shinobi, which only deepened the red coloring.

“Um… Y-Yes Lady Tsunade? Did you need something?” Tochi Uchitari asked, eyes drifting to the sake bottle that Tsunade held in one hand.

“Nevermind that now. What are you hiding?” Tsunade practically shouted, one finger pointed accusingly, “Is that Hosigaki boy here again?” Uchitari mouth dropped open as she stammered out some attempted deflection. Tsunade stood up, crossing towards the door, Uchitari moving to intercept her path.

“No! you don’t need to… ah, that is… did you need another…” the shinobi stammered, but Tsunade ignored her, slamming the door wide open with a snap. Tochi watched with horror as the Morikage’s gaze locked onto Hayate Hosigaki, doing his best to hide in the room’s curtains

“Hayate!” Tsunade shouted, forehead veins throbbing. The youngster poked his head out of the drapes with a guilty grin.

“Yes, Lady Morikage?” he asked, scratching the back of his head. An empty sake bottle smacked into his forehead with blinding speed, Tochi gasped in dismay as the stunned Shinobi sank to the ground.

“Stop harassing my assistants when they’re on duty!” Tsunade shouted, brow furrowed and eyes raging, “That’s the last time I’m warning you!”

“Right! Of course, Lady Tsunade!” Hayate spoke hurriedly. The shinobi scrambled back to his feet, bowed quickly, then turned tail and fled. Tsunade whirled back to face Tochi, who jumped.

“I need you to tell me why this plan is stupid.” Tsunade said, voice still a little irritated. Tochi composed herself as Tsunade strode back to her desk. The Morikage sat with her arms propped on the desk, brooding as she stared at the artefact.

“Your plan, ma’am?” the shinobi asked, head tilted slightly to one side. Tochi had a sinking feeling this was going to be one of those conversations where Tsunade wasn’t actually going to ask for her advice.

“People will know that we have this star piece sooner or later.” Tsunade spoke, the full moon spilling into the window behind her, “We have too many curious eyes here to keep it a secret. Eventually the Kingdom and the Empire will send representatives to ‘request’ it, and even if we stall them this hunk of rock makes us a target for rogue primes.” Tochi nodded.

“We’ve actually had reports that someone broke into Dalaran not too long ago, and may have stolen theirs.” The assistant spoke, flipping through papers on her clipboard. Tsunade frowned. The star piece was an artefact of power, a piece in a much larger game than any of them knew, save perhaps select members of the Kingdom and the Empire. So long as it remained in her possession, Mokugakure was a part of that game. Whether it wanted to be or not. Tsunade stared at the innocuous piece of crystal, its facets catching and reflecting the moons rays in a mesmerizing pattern.

What is better than endless wandering, endless searching for one’s desires in the world, only for said endless wandering to be met with nothing less than eternal damnation of the soul, the ceaseless ravaging of the mind, and a darkness so vile and indescribable that the mere mention of it is sure to break the wills and minds of whomever may hear it?

Well, when one puts it that way, the answer would be everything.

Seemed like the answer would be obvious, right? After all, why would anyone want to go out of their way to go get themselves thrown into Nietzsche’s monster abyss when they could settle down a million miles away from the black oil of said monster abyss? Come to think of it, why is it an abyss? Wouldn’t it be more accurate to call it a mirror? A really stained, cracked, badly-in-need-of-a-thorough-scrubbing mirror?

These are the thoughts that only someone like Sans could conjure up in their minds. Only if someone was Sans-- and given that Sans is Sans, Sans would have to be Sans, unless, of course, one was also Sans-- could unfocused thoughts like these be created. Granted, it wasn’t as if these thought sprouted out from the blue either. Such shower bubble thoughts could only be made in specific circumstances.

Sans’ circumstances were very specific.

Sans rested his skeletal head against a pillow of red feathers: the silk softness of his Chocobo mount’s back. His noble steeb (It’s not a horse, so it’s no steed, and it’s not a cow, so it’s no steer. Since a Chocobo is a bird, it must be a steeb,) slept underneath him, its golden beak buried underneath its body. His steeb’s back rose and fell with each breath his sleeping steeb gave; the repetitive, soothing motions of the bird’s sleep breathing almost made him fall back asleep as they rocked him like a baby bone. Thank goodness for the generosity of ranch owners, or at least the ones in Ambrosia.

A small ray of light pierced through, however, and shined over his eyes to stop him from going back to dreamville. Groaning, he lifted a hand to wave away the brightness. Wind blew around him; leaves whistled; he could hear birds chirping above him with properly bird-like laughter. He eventually found the source of the light: a slight separation in the leaf-covered branches from the steady wind had removed the sole barrier between him and the scorching sun above the forest. In hindsight, perhaps picking an open field, with only a lone tree surrounded by flowers and grass and what might have been a small mud pond a few feet away from the tree, had not been the best of ideas he had ever had.

He didn’t know the Tangled Green could reach degrees of 120 Kelvin if the giant rainforest trees didn’t bear the bulk of the heat for the people in it. The only thing stopping him from removing his blue winter jacket to stave off the heat was a similar all-encompassing element: his own perpetual laziness.

Still, it would have been nice if the sun decided to stop being mean to him for at least a few more hours. Perhaps he just needed a drink.

The comedian felt around the ground for a few moments before realizing one of his hands still contained a bottle of ketchup. He lifted it up to his grinning face anyway, sipping what little ketchup was still inside the bottle. After one last gulp, he let the bottle drop to his side and roll away. It tapped a collection of other empty ketchup bottles and tipped them over. They scattered into the grass like squirrels hiding from wolves. He decided it would be too much effort to chase after it and stayed in his spot, hoping nobody from Ambrosia or just a weary police officer walked by to arrest him for littering.

Moments like these, where you are surrounded by perpetual doing-nothingness, is where the mind starts to wander, if only to prevent true boredom from settling in and giving you existential nightmares. As a result, Sans’ mind wandered back to his encounter with Gaster. It had only lasted about as long as it began, but it was the way it ended that gave him pause and what truly made him think about it. After a brief conversation, the crazy skeleton had given him some sort of look, like a bullet had gut-shot him and he was only just starting to feel it sink into his stomach. He didn’t get the chance to ask Gaster if he was okay before the guy rushed over towards the bathroom of the diner they were in.

Sans had waited for hours, binging off of the ketchup drinks the waitresses had been so kind to give him. Eventually, the diner started to close, and Sans was forced to figure out if Gaster was okay.

He didn’t really know what to expect going in, but finding absolutely no sign of the crazy skeleton guy in there was something he probably should have foreseen. Usually when a monster goes, if you really search, you can find some sign they were there. This usually took the form of dust, the bodily matter of a deceased monster. But this time? A solid nothing at all. He might as well have vanished into thin air.

He had walked around to meet fellow patrons either finishing their meals or otherwise so drunk they probably thought they were inside their homes and asked them if Gaster had left the bathroom. A few confused questions and stares was all it took for Sans to get the hint and just leave. That was what confused him more than anything else about what happened. Gaster had caused a bit of a commotion. There was no way people could just forget him.

Sans sighed and tried to focus on something else. Something gnawed at the back of his skull, a pressing matter he couldn’t remember yet only fed the anxiety eating away at his ribs.

He slept for several months and still felt upset about what happened. The trauma he went through was no laughing matter. Normally he'd shrug it off - but something about the fight with the evil tree... shocked him to the very core of his being.

Another haunted dream. He was alone, on an Iceberg floating towards the open sea, away from all the loved ones. As he tried to yell for help - he was silent yet he put all his force into it. He then turned around after a hand dropped onto his shoulder. It was the man who raised Ice Bear - Yuri - but he opened his eyes, and fire was in them.

"You failed Yuri!"

Ice Bear woke up screaming. His brothers rushed to his aid, hearing his screams. Panda quickly arrived.

"Grizz! He's having another nightmare!"

"Oh no, calm down bro, we got you, we got you!"

Ice Bear was rolling back and forth screaming.

"He's locked in... quick, get Dan and Bob!" Grizz said, trying to hold Ice Bear down.

Panda opened the door with haste, screaming for the bear couple who were working in the yard. The two came over quickly. The saw Ice Bear rolling all around, screaming for mercy. Dan quickly picked up Ice Bear, holding him tight in a restraining move, and Bob splashed water on Ice Bear's face. Ice Bear blinked and looked around.

"Ice Bear... had nightmare."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Panda was reluctant to approach Ice Bear, but he felt like he needed to say something for Ice Bear's sake.

"Bro, you... you need to see someone about this... we can only help so much."

Grizz was shocked. Panda of all people rarely goes to other people for help... so if Panda thought that, it must be serious.

Ice Bear just slumped his head in shame.

Bob and Dan stood by.

Grizz finally said his mind.

"Look, bro, we know you're scared. We're scared too - ever since that fight with the tree, you've been traumatized. There's no shame in getting professional help over this. We don't want you to suffer anymore."

Dan and Bob nodded.

Bob went over to Ice Bear. "Look, you need to see someone. I can give you the name of a therapist. His name is Jeffery, he handles crisis situations."

Ice Bear shrugged. He really didn't want to appear weak... he felt seeking help would make him weak. However... he was all ready weak. He hadn't performed his duties in a long time. Guu had given him a referral for counseling, thinking he could handle it... he shrugged it off... but now, he needed it.

A knock on the door was heard. Panda went to the door and opened it. It was Rina, the ninja friend Ice Bear had made.

"He still having bad days, huh?" Rina said, looking concerned.

Ice Bear looked down and started crying.

"Oh no, I didn't mean to make you cry! I... I just... I'm worried about you Ice Bear. You never come by... and... I miss you. I want you back..." She started crying... she rarely cried, so it was serious.

Ice Bear had made one of his best friends cry. At least, that's how he viewed it. He decided to take the referral paper and he walked out the door, turning towards his friends.

Luna Lovegood, the Jedi Knight, was meditating silently beneath the towering bamboo of the Tangled Green.

The witch floated gently a foot above the ground, her legs crossed, her hands on her knees, her platinum blonde hair levitating strangely. She breathed in through her nose, inhaling honeysuckle and lilac, and she exhaled through her mouth expertly.

Luna had thus sat for the last year, without eating or sleeping or moving at all, subsisting off the pure wave of omnidichlorians that was released into the omniverse since Harry Potter walked out of the Nexus fountain. She kept the same dreamy smile on her face.

Then Harry Potter had gotten his wand snapped by Bellatrix Lestrange, and Luna had winced.

Then Harry Potter got his head blown off in Dante’s Abyss, and Luna’s eyes snapped open.

She felt a great disturbance in the Force.

The Jedi witch uncrossed her legs, stood, and stretched. She idly brushed off some dust that had gathered on her otherwise immaculate white kimono fringed with bright blue. Held with blue silk on either hip was a wand; one willow, and the other pear. Her bare feet seemed to blow the leaves and twigs from her path with a gentle breeze as she started to walk into the thick bamboo.

“Hey Luna,” a sassy female voice called from behind her.

Luna stopped.

“Hullo, Hermione,” Luna replied in her high-pitched, dreamy voice.

The Jedi Witch turned to face the clearing.

Hermione Granger stood with her hand on her hip and a warm smile on her face. Her sandy blonde hair caught the breeze in strands, where Luna’s silky platinum hair drifted freely. She still wore her school uniform, though it seemed to Luna that it might be several years too small.

“Crazy seeing you here,” Hermione said in her prim English accent. “Where you headed?”

“To the Nexus fountain,” the Jedi responded through half-lidded eyes. “Harry is dead.”

Hermione shrugged.

“It wouldn’t be the first time,” Hermione said casually.

For a while, only the wind whistling through the trees could be heard.

The witches began to walk in slow, wide circles, their hands at their sides.

Luna would step left, and Hermione would step left, in an eerie unison.

“I think you’re not giving him enough credit,” Hermione said, a smirk creeping onto her face. “He is perfectly capable of finding his own way in Omniverse.”

The witches continued to circle each other, step by careful step.

“I’m just going to meet an old friend,” Luna replied, a little defensively perhaps.

Hermione laughed poshly. “Oh Luna,” she said, her hair falling in front of her face. In a heartbeat her wand was out and facing the ground, and a long red lightsaber blade emerged from the tip.

“You’ll be reunited soon enough.”

“Hello. You know, I know what you are thinking. Why is some random secondary nobody putting up posters across the Tangled Green. WELL LET ME TELL YOU WHAT! I have in my possession a magic map of pure destiny and I want a few fellow secondaries to accompany me on an adventure of a lifetime. I am Michael No Name, and yes, I know, I am dashing, but that has nothing to do with the journey ahead of us! For I will be leading you to… The Omnilium Temple!”

Michael pauses, standing atop his small box in the center of Yggdrasil. In his loosely fit red shirt and tan pants, he most definitely didn’t look like an adventurer, but there was a light in his magnificent green eyes. Reaching into his sleeve, he pulls out a small glittering instrument and begins playing a festive tune.

“Just for a moment, imagine the sights you would see! The experience! Come, come my friends! I have followed this map for many years and have always had such wonderful times. Now could you imagine my surprise when for the first time ever it listed a destination? I’ve sailed across the Vasty Deep, trekked through the Endless Dunes, braved the Pale Moors, and even dove into the Dataverse. This map never once led me to anything short of a grand adventure, and I am offering this chance to join me!”

The once crowded square slowly begins to empty as the jovial man continues his grand boasting until just five remained. As Michael looks across the diverse group of secondaries, his grin gets wider. While it certainly isn’t clear why they came here, or why the bothered listening to this blonde musician, the fact they didn’t leave with the rest of the crowd was good enough for him. As he drew closer, the tone shifted to a lower and more grave melody.

“I will have you know, my fellow lovers of adventure. This is not only the only time my map has listed a destination, it is also the first time it listed what would be found. Wealth beyond measure. Though it will come with its own set of dangers, no doubt. There was never once a journey I would not be able to complete on my own, and yet the map told me not to go without at least six fellow adventurers…”

Looking across the faces of those gathered, Michael plays one final note before stashing the strange, golden stringed, instrument back into his sleeve.

Black umbrellas were an unusual sight in Ambrosia, but today was a special occasion. The normally quite cheery town had been rocked by tragedy. Or, to be more accurate, Minnie Mouse had been rocked by tragedy when her gardener had been rocked by a rock, and dragged the whole city with her on her brief gothic bout.

In her never-ending quest to spruce up the Clubhouse for Mickey’s hopeful inevitable return, she’d ventured out into the forest to find some plants to liven up the landscaping of her and her husband’s home. That, combined with some new-fangled technology she was having installed, would certainly make the place more enticing for him, and once he’d finished going off and making a fool out of himself in Dante’s Abyss, she would shoot him a little message on the Dataverse filled with cute pics of their new garden and their new recall station and he could just… teleport right on back home, teleport right back into her arms, and she would chain him to his lazy chair and never let him leave the house ever again.

Sure, some would call that extreme. But a desperate lady mouse was a desperate lady mouse.

Unfortunately, she’d found the actual activity of… planting things to be a tad tiresome for the life she’d gotten used to during their not-so-brief respite in the Vasty Deep. She hadn’t really been forced to do any taxing physical labor during that time, and so even the act of taking a miniature shovel and trying to plant some lilies in the mulch just wore her the heck out, and she’d called in a local gardening service to finish the job, and maybe even bring a couple of extra plants. Just make her garden look pretty—that’s all she’d asked.

Instead, they’d done much the opposite. Their services had ended up with the gooey brains of Jeremy, a cute little moogle, mixed in with all of the dirt and shrubbery that already took root outside of her house. Maybe it had been kinda her fault, admittedly, too, since she’d insisted that the recall station must be adorned with large, aesthetically-pleasing boulders to fit with the aesthetic of the general town, and it had been one of those that’d fallen on the worker, crushed his head, and killed him. Either way, she was absolutely wracked with guilt, and to absolve herself of that, she’d organized a lavish cemetery for him.

Quirky little creatures of all shapes and sizes gathered at a makeshift cemetery outside Pokute Palace, trying their best to conform to Minnie Mouse’s expectations of what the young creature’s wake would be like. The citizens of Ambrosia couldn’t really find a time in their collective memory when one of the many minor residents of the city had actually perished. So, when Jeremy the gardener bit the dust, they’d had to sort of make do. They’d plopped a random stone in the middle of a patch of grass near the huge, pink castle, dug a Jeremy-sized hole, and dropped him inside, then scrounged about their closets for whatever black clothes they owned.

Minnie, for her part, had gone all out. Seeing as the moogle was approximately the same size as her husband—though the mouse king was, as she noted, a tad chubbier—she’d outfitted Jeremy in some of her husband’s nicest clothes. She’d snuck into Princess Guu’s palace and stolen some curtains to make into some regal-looking upholstery for his improvised coffin. The other two primes hadn’t been seen in Ambrosia for quite a while, so the lady mouse assumed they wouldn’t be too mad about some of their finer possessions going missing.

After all, they both kind of owed her.

The funeral went off without a hitch. Minnie wept an appropriate amount, watching as poor Jeremy’s family hooted and hollered with a degree of sadness the queen felt was perfectly tragic. The rest of the citizens of Ambrosia, bewildered as they were, stood in respectful silence as the currently highest-ranking prime to occupy the actual city limits of Ambrosia gave what she judged to be a heartfelt eulogy to an itsy-bitsy secondary she’d never actually had the time to get to know.

“Friends, Ambrosians, country-creatures!”

The motley crew of weird little beings in attendance all turned their attention to the large-eared girl, sort of famous vlogger and Dataverse presence, Lady of Ambrosia and… well, they supposed she was a mouse worthy of their respect, though she’d been gone for quite a while, too.

“You know,” Minnie Mouse sniffed, “I still remember when I first met Jeffrey.”

“Jeremy,” someone whispered behind her.

“Jeremy,” Minnie corrected herself. “Sorry, I’m just—so sad, my words aren’t coming out how I mean them to. You know? Anyway. I still remember when I first met him, the poor little moogle. It was about two days ago. He was standing just off the right shoulder of the head gardener as that guy explained his plans for my house’s little mini-flower orchard. And I can recall—hold on, I’m sorry—”

She paused as she tried to actually remember the exact moment she wanted to tell everyone about. Goshdarnit, she knew she should’ve written this down. “Ahem—” she continued, “I can recall when he piped up in the cutest dang moogle voice I’ve ever heard and said, ‘we should add some violets around the door.’ Well, Jeremy, I know I rolled my eyes and said violets were for the common girl’s garden when you said that, but now, that’s exactly what we’re going to do. We’re going to wreathe my whole front door in a vine of violets because I don’t care what anyone thinks except you.”

Even though you can’t even really think anymore because your brain exploded.

Do violets come on vines?

And just like that, the funeral was over. The critters of Ambrosia filed back to their daily lives, forever weirded out by the mouse’s display of mourning which simultaneously read as strangely artificial and overwhelmingly genuine. Minnie, for her part, remained by the makeshift gravestone, paying her respects… or something.

She felt like she had been there for literal years when the pitter-patter of chocobo footsteps called her attention.

Sitting atop the chocobo was a diminutive creature, with a rounded abdomen and a spiky little head. His features were alabaster white—not dissimilar to the Nexus—and he had two cute little wings that sprouted from the back of his spherical body. Big, black eyes peeked out of what looked, for all intents and purposes, like a ninja costume you’d get from a Halloween store. He waited to be addressed, and Minnie kept him waiting. Finally, when she’d fully taken in the form of the mysterious thing that had disrupted her mourning, she spoke.

“Yes?”

“Yo. Might you be Lady Minnie Mouse of Ambrosia?” the egg-shaped ninja said in a surprisingly bass voice.

“That’s my name,” the Lady responded, “Don’t wear it out.”

“The name’s Togetic,” the guy said, sliding off his chocobo. “I’m an Ambrosian sent by some of the elders to go blend in with the people of Mokugakure, y’know, keep an eye on the ninja dudes over there and make sure everything’s going cool. You know they’re shockingly violent?”

Minnie blinked. They were ninjas. Of course they were violent.

“Anyway, it’s awesome over there and everything, great stuff to report back,” he bounced around, seeming genuinely thrilled about his findings and also genuinely convinced Minnie had any idea what the heck he was talking about, “but that’s not the main bit of info I’m here to report, my dudette.”

“I’m waiting,” the lady mouse droned, standing up. She looked over Togetic with a suspicious glare. She might not have been the one who’d sent him, but she was genuinely interested to know the dirt on whatever the other factions of the Tangled were up to, given the fact that she was, as far as she knew, the only prime in the city of Ambrosia at the moment and therefore its most capable line of defense from outside threats. She needed all the information she could get to perpetuate the slightly self-important fantasy that had led her to assume a leadership position amongst these country folk.

“Spill the tea, Togetic.”

“Well, y’see, I heard some choice gossip, Lady Minnie Mouse…”

* * *

Back inside the chambers of Pokute Palace, Togetic relayed the highly unlikely, but very juicy, rumor of the alleged meeting between Princess Guu and Tsunade. Minnie Mouse wasn’t buying it.

“I find it hard to believe the Princess would just leave a powerful artefact with the leader of another forest faction.” The mouse rolled her eyes, leaning back in one of the uber comfortable purple velvet arm chairs that dotted the palace library.

Togetic, standing by the fireplace, worked harder to convince the mouse of his story. “Nah, girl, look—”

“Lady Minnie,” the noblewoman corrected.

“Lady Minnie, yeah, right,” Togetic continued, and Minnie noted that her obsession over titles had begun to make her sound unfortunately like that Captain Jack Sparrow they’d briefly encountered in the deep. She’d make a mental reminder not to correct the peons if they called her by the wrong title anymore. She would be a gentle, benevolent proxy leadership council member.

“Anyway,” the egg Pokémon explained, “so I didn’t believe it either, right? But Tsunade—nobody’s been able to get in touch with her since any of it happened. She disappeared into her office with a couple of her advisers and only comes out to eat or sleep. Something’s going on in there.”

Minnie frowned. “Well,” she conceded, “if this is true—as in in the hypothetical instance that you’re not a liar looking for glory—where, exactly, did the Princess go after her visit to Mokugakure?”

“Dunno,” Togetic shrugged, “but I can betcha it ain’t here.”

“Clearly,” Minnie sighed.

The Princess’s absence had truly gone pretty much without note until Minnie Mouse herself had arrived. Strange; the lady mouse had thought it strange that the Ambrosians hadn’t really taken stock of her own disappearance, but their relative autonomy became even clearer when she realized the vanishing of their de facto leader—if not exactly their actual governing body—hadn’t done much to shake the foundations of the city. Guu had created something quite impressive, for certain.

But the city had remained stagnant for too long. The world around them moved and changed with each passing day; the mouse herself had been a victim of the shifting tides when she’d emerged from obscuring, as had her husband. She’d watched Mickey flail in the lead up to the first round of Dante’s Abyss, surrounded by, now, thousands and thousands of would-be competitors.

Times had changed, and more and more primes were adopting attitudes of manifest destiny. No longer were they content to just be the most powerful beings in the entire Omniverse… no, now they all had to wave their proverbial bratwurst around in everyone else’s faces too. Gosh, it was all so tiring.

The former queen knew that without Guu or someone else capable at the helm to keep it steady, the city of misfits would, eventually, be forgotten in the dust of other small factions on the rise. New Babylon, in the Dunes, had already sprouted from the ashes even more powerful than before, if her Dataverse sources were to be believed. Various gangs grew in prominence in Coruscant’s lower tiers, a sleeper threat to both the Empire and the Rebels that mounted offenses against the dictatorship. Would she just sit by and watch as Ambrosia faded into obscurity?

No way, no how.

Jack Darby had been wandering aimlessly through the Tangled Green, for what seemed like an eternity. So far in his quest to get access to the Green Light of Will in a more stable manner he had been unsuccessful. Thirty attempts had been made by him using Omnilium to make an actually working Green Lantern Ring, and none of them had been what he'd call successful. None had done anything because he did not know enough about the power rings. If Jack ever encountered the individuals who gave out the rings, he would slap them as hard as he could, because they had not provided him any sort of instruction manual. With as little as he knew about the rings, even someone without a ring could likely take him in a fight. In all honesty he knew he needed some form of education so that he could master the Oan Power Ring, or learn how to create a Power Ring for himself.

Mounted upon his summoned steed, Shay Cormac made haste towards the gates of the Nexus through Nippur. At this point, the man knew his way from the gates and back by heart. Though he wasn't exactly pleased being ordered to fetch some random Prime off of the soils of the Greens to which he was headed, the Templar still enjoyed the few minutes of quiet he had to himself. Of course, that didn't last long considering distant and desperate cries of help were commonplace in the Nexus as a few more Primes spawned in. He continued to ride onward, the galloping of his horse echoing throughout the verse in which he spawned.

Thankfully, Shay realized that the gate to the Greens itself would be able to fit him and his mount. Slowly, he had his horse walk forwards. The teleportation effect caused by the gates was still something the man was not used to. The privateer would soon realize that was an understatement, given that immediately as he regained his senses, another stinging headache pounded at the man's head as his face was nigh-planted onto the soil beneath him.

Coughing, Shay at least knew this wasn't as bad as his previous experiences with the strange artifacts such as the gates. Eventually, the man waddled upright, attempting to focus his vision again. It was obvious where he was, he didn't even need to see clearly to understand the context of the situation; he was in some sort of forest. Shay sighed, not really thinking that a verse named 'The Tangled Green' would be, well... Lush of greens. Made sense to him though, and he wasn't disappointed by any means. If anything beat the feeling of being out at sea, it was embracing the fauna of the woods to him.

As the Templar looked around however, he WAS disappointed by the sudden disappearance of his mount. Looking in every direction possible, Shay hesitated before coming to the conclusion he'd have to walk his way from here.

...Where was he going? He pondered, unsure in complete honesty. Did Victor think this far ahead?

"Shite," the man swore, believing this to be the only expression he could think of at the moment. Groaning again, the Templar Enforcer shook his head, not entirely feeling the mood to fiddle with the strange Dataverse tablet still tucked into his pocket at the moment. The bright lights were sure to sting, which is not something the man desired considering the sun above him was being blocked off by the branches that gently waved overhead.

Putting an armored hand upon his face, Shay Cormac began walking, attempting to find some sort of path to civilization first. He had to admit, it was decently quiet for a forest meant to be bustling with animal life. Still, as the man recovered from the teleportation, he took the time to appreciate the verse's beauty, at least where he stood. It reminded him of River Valley, though... less tense, even with the constant pestering of New Babylon's higher ups sending the man out wherever they desired at any given moment.
