“A man is only as good as his word”

The words echoed in the Vektan Shadow Marshall director’s head over and over enough to drive any sane person crazy.

The crunch on the pavements of Coruscant of a man’s boots left the man wondering. The last time he had seen any signs of Lucas or Echo.. they had mysteriously disappeared from sight. He had carefully searched all of Vekta’s information databases carefully and thoroughly but the same information popped up that he knew already.

What was it? Where the hell did he miss something? Information was easily obtained on Vektan property due to him being the top dog of the Shadow Marshall.

He crossed his arms and almost punched a table. Anger crossed his face, nasty betrayal of a past “son” he had taken in as one of his own all for him to fall to care for a spy of the opposite side.

However, he felt his luck had changed somewhat as he had appeared in a brand new city. A new city he saw possibilities, new chances, and a cold dish of revenge. He was not going to leave unless he had that traitor's head on a silver platter. He should of shot him when he had the chance.

He had called that man his “son” for the last time.

However this city would be a lot more complicated to find information needed to search about this new place.

The director would have to talk to some strangers first and then go digging.

Luckily for him, the intelligence director had made it to Tier 1, Coruscant's top tier and the most beautiful areas he had seen.

He paused as he began his walk toward a upscale bar area fingering some Vektan dollars he had before leaving the company so far.

The bar had a name called the “Futurism Bar.”

The area was a little high classed for the area but it had just opened and the browish skinned man with cleanly set dreadlocks sat at the bar, setting some Vektan cash down for the bartender.

“Get me a average drink, I’ll pay you for information.”

The bartender eyed the foreign cash and blinked “So you think you can come into the Omniverse and barter with this … foreign money? Sorry, we only take OM here. You must be new here.

As James Knight walked out of the spa, once more dressed, though this time in a different set of clothes, he remembered the plastic surgery he had one of the people do to him. It had not been cheap certainly, but now he looked different than he had before. There was a lot he had to learn about the Omniverse and life here in general if he was going to ensure that he somehow survived. To that end he needed to be prepared because he didn't know what resources he was going to genuinely need. Perhaps if he was able to even recreate the Mega Buster that Megaman had in his universe he might be one step closer to his eventual goal of Wave Change. In a battle here he would likely be outclassed by anyone who had any real experience which was a shame.

"Em Wave Change," muttered James, not expecting it to work. True to what he had grown to expect in the Omniverse nothing he had known how to do previously was going to work. This was a difficult pill for him to swallow. Previously he had been able to Wave Change, but now he could not. In addition all the Battle Cards that he had meticulously created from ancient relics of the past were now "all gone" as it were. None of them were likely to work, and even if they did, he didn't have them. His Star Carrier did not exist at present which made things even more difficult for him.

"Nothing is working...." groaned James as he walked away from the area. Right now he was annoyed that none of his abilities were functioning like they should in the slightest. Of course it was not his fault. No, the blame for that laid solely on the shoulders of someone else that he wished Megaman would thrash. Omni. The pale faced white biped had abducted him, and brought him to here. Wherever here was, actually. Food, clothes and shelter were the top priorities.

It was a few hours after Aquamarine had gotten away from the spa, and as the Gem woman was waiting in the lobby of the security headquarters of Coruscant on Tier 1, she was looking at her wand, trying her hardest at trying to make sure that it was in it's peak condition for whatever she was needed for at the time. When she was imprisoned in this Verse a long time ago, Aquamarine's wand had gone on the fritz, preventing her from using the tractor beam function of her wand to it's fullest extent. While Aquamarine could use the wand in order to lift small objects again, she was unable to lift or stop bigger objects, which had infuriated the Gem a bit.

Eventually however, after another hour of waiting, Aquamarine could see some sort of small creature walking out of the door, looking like a mechanical ladybug to the Gem woman as she looked at it. Before Aquamarine could fully understand what the ladybug could do however, the ladybug quickly opened a hatch on it's body, revealing a speaker as a loud voice came from it. "We are sorry for any disturbances, but some sort of problem has come up within the building, and we require your assistance AQUAMARINE. Please follow the ladybug to where we can safely lend out the details of the things we need you to do."

While Aquamarine was confused at first, the Gem woman eventually shrugged before following the ladybug to wherever it was going, leaving the Ruby she had created during her spa visit a few hours ago alone to her own devices, whether that was good or bad. As the short Gem continued to walk around to follow the ladybug, navigating various random halls as she hoped that wherever she was going, that it was most likely not going to be something serious, such as a invasion. Once Aquamarine had finished following the ladybug, she was in a room designed like the inside of a pyramid, deep within the Security Headquarters and covered with expensive speakers.

Before Aquamarine could say anything however, the ladybug powered off, before another voice appeared seemingly from nowhere, though in actuality it was coming from a speaker at the top of the room. "Ah, thanks for following my ladybug creation. It's not new to me considering I had already built one before I had come to this Omniverse, but it is a relatively new model that I have built for this occasion. Oh, pardon my manners, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Dr. Gero, and your Aquamarine I presume? I think I heard of you from those stories involving the AI chip attached to your hand or something."

"Wait, you know about that?" As Aquamarine listened to the sounds coming from the room, Aquamarine tried to look around to see if there was any origin to the voice, but as she continued to look around for any origin to the voice, she could not see any thing that could possibly make it, besides the ladybug. Despite that however, the gem woman was still curious about this Dr. Gero person, since she had heard that name once before from the Robonoid working at the spa, and now that she was hearing the words from who she guessed was the doctor, she decided to play it calm just in case.

"Well either way, yes I am Aquamarine, science officer on the Empire, and a rookie Prime in the Omniverse. Though, I must ask you, even if for one moment, why would you like to ask someone like me to come here? Isn't there any other person available in the area, or at least a Stormtrooper who could help you?"

"No, I'm not much of a social person, and there aren't any Stormtroopers available since they had began upgrading the security to this Verse, a bit of a wasted effort if you ask me since I think we should devote more of our potential and resources to science, but I digress. And as for why I asked you, well that is simply because you were one of the few people available, since most of the rest are already helping me with another project of mine. Anyway, there is just one simple thing I need from you to help me, and that is to get me some documents in my spare office on Tier 3, and they should be in my top drawer. Once you can do that, I'll open the door to my office in the next room, and we can have ourselves a true talk."

"Wait, so all you need me to do is to collect a few documents from Tier 3? That was a lot more simple then I expected, but either way I will not let you down. Consider those files gotten, Dr. Gero."

"Good." Upon the voice finishing his talk, the ladybug quickly reactivated, before unleashing a loud sound to try to get Aquamarine's attention. As the Gem lady followed the ladybug back through the halls, she could feel a slight tingle going down her back, as if something bad was about to happen to her. Despite the bad feelings however, Aquamarine eventually made it back to the lobby, and as she waved bye to the ladybug robot after receiving a key to the lab from it, she could see her creation, the Ruby, snoozing upright in her seat, a small snot bubble coming from her face.

"Hey, wake up Private Ruby! We've got a important mission here, so I need your help in full throttle, even if you aren't fighting condition!"

From the startling sounds, the Ruby quickly woke up, the snot bubble popping as she tried to jostle herself awake. "My bad, miss Aquamarine, was just sleeping is all..."

"Well dreaming isn't exactly a option for us now. We got to retrieve some documents for Dr. Gero from his office, so we have to leave towards Tier 3 now." While Aquamarine was getting used to commanding the Ruby she had created by now, the memories of her past with her working with Topaz had ended up causing Aquamarine to sigh, due to the feelings of control not being the same. Regardless of how things were going however, Aquamarine worked through everything, her mind on one thing and one thing only: getting those documents.

But it took a lot longer to find what they were looking for due to taking the “scenic routes” instead of the normal pathways.

Finally after taking what seems like a wild goose chase into account, the building they wanted to go into showed up.

The motorcycle was placed outside and then desummoned for the time being. The two of them carefully got off and eyed the building.

The library looked like a beautiful glass domed with a ever-expanding winding upward staircase area.

As they stepped in, Lucas was more interested in new information.

Echo was close behind him, a little impatient as they weren’t always the “book” types.

Lucas walked the alsies looking for information about the Endless Dunes occasionally searching for a book of information.

There was a whole entire room dedicated to the Endless Dunes. It was going to take a long time to navigate what they were looking for.
Echo looked annoyed almost crossing her arms “Lucas, we should split up. We can cover more ground this way.”
Lucas slowly nodded “Right. But where to start.”
Echo muttered something and turned not answering Lucas. Her first book was “The Endless Dunes and you: What to see and do.”
Lucas searched through several books, occasionally searching for anything that didn’t have to do with Nippur or the Town with No Name.

Echo finally spent time fine combing through one of the books she found, absorbing information.

“Shadow 1-8, over here.”

Lucas heard Echo and raised a eyebrow “What did you find?”

Echo said “It’s a strange find. Is this what you are looking for?”

Lucas nodded ‘Yeah. I believe that is it.”

Echo nodded and looked over at Lucas “I’m going to need you to summon some paper and a pen or so.”
Lucas closed his eyes and a few pieces of paper and some pens came down.
Echo took the pen and drew the image from the book of choice and nodded. “You got the picture in mind and the information that goes with it?”

It has been quite a while since she had joined the Empire's forces, and while the Gem lady was having a good time in protecting the city, she still had things on her mind while guarding the place. The most important of these things she was thinking about was mainly the AI Chip that she had gotten during her studying session, as she wondered why she was still attached to it, even after all this time.
Despite all these random thoughts clouding her head however, Aquamarine eventually became bored with just waiting around, and because of this she ended up deciding to indulge herself a bit. Looking around the place, Aquamarine eventually found a place where she could relax, which ended up being a relaxing spa area from which she could mellow herself out. Creating a waterproof sash out of her Omnilium and wrapping it around her AI Chip just in case, Aquamarine ended up entering the resort, hoping to calm down her mind.
The dwarf had raised a brow at the order, but had seen no reason to refuse the act letting him through with no need of violence though the soldiers had given his battle stained clothing a few looks. He was glad that his bike had fit with ease through the gate, but the site that waited for the dwarf on the other side flabbergasted the new prime his world having nowhere near that level of technology. "By the ancestors what a sight." Nor muttered softly taking off his shades for a moment as he lit up a fresh cigar ignoring the looks he received from the well dressed people, and soldiers that passed him as he sat astride his bike in the street.

Noragnir exhaled a cloud of smoke as after a few moments, and kicked the bike into gear making his way through the streets of the massive city not hesitating to move down to the lower tiers of the city as he investigated. "Damn I feel like I am bein' watched with every twitch I make." He muttered as he set about simply trying to escaping the feeling of eyes on him, and began to take any chance he could to move through the various levels of the massive city. He spent hours just driving though the city stopping only long enough at times to rest a bit when the bike needed a recharge of mana, or an intake of water the latter of which he found strangely hard to find a source for at time. "This city is definitely far different then anything I ever saw back home, and to be frank I have no damn clue where I am." He said softly to himself as he took a moment to clean his glasses, and stomp out his latest cigar only to find he had run through his supply. "I suppose that I should cut back perhaps." He muttered angrily as he looked at the empty pouch only finding his supply of pipe tobacco.

Noragnir sighed as he settled back onto his bike frowning as he got a look at his overcoat again running a hand over the holes in his coat a reminder of the battlefield he had been plucked from. "I hope you are ok Mal." He said softly his mind turning to his best friend since childhood, and a man that had joined him on his adventures without a question. His mind moved back to his home as he lost track of time not sure how much time had passed stopping to eat hardtack from time to time, or to find a quiet place to sleep as he started to realize just how lost he had become in the maze that was Coruscant as he passed a sign informing him that he was entering tier five of the city, and found himself in a city that seemed completely different from any he had seen as of yet. The flying vehicles were gone, and only a few towing spires rose into the sky the streets were far more clogged slowing further travel, but he realized it too late causing him to jump the curb to escaping a collision, and slamming instead into a group of orcs. "Well shite." He said with a grimace as he slid from the bike watching the two orcsw rise as if the collision did nothing to them. "I suppose I should run." He said with a smile pulling a grenade with a smile and activating it with a thought, and tossed it among the orc group using the explosion to slip into an ally, and disappear among the chaos of the tier not stopping to see if the orcs withstood the explosion or not.

As Marisa exited the portal she crashed into a wooden crate groaning as the sound of a saw was heard in the background stopped. "God damn it better not be Jack messing with my stuff again!" Marisa pulled her body from the crate to see that there was a rusting mechanical engine of some sort. Being the type to poke her nose into things she shouldn't she pulled it out and started to look it over.

"This is quite interesting ... But it looks like the kappa's style of building." Marisa rubbed her chin before hearing the cocking of a gun. Marisa slowly turned to find Nitori Kawashiro pointing a gun at the witch.

"How did you get in here, Marisa?" Nitori looked not pleased as her clothing was covered in oil and grease stains as she checked the engine over. "Also I swear if you busted it I was going to scream." Marisa looked over the Kappa's shoulder and listened in as the cucumber eater reviewed the machine in question. "Capacitator seems to be fine, the oxygen tanks seem unruptured, and everything else looks alright. Well, your lucky Kirisame that you didn't crush the Engine or I would have made some really unpleasant tasks for you."

Marisa looked bewildered as she looked around remarking fairly uninterested. "Nice place ya got here 'tori. Also, what is the machine for?" Marisa said Machine in a confused manner not knowing if she was saying it correctly. Nitori sighed in annoyance as she shook her head.

"Follow me." her voice gave Marisa slight chills as the witch followed the kappa throughout Kawashiro industries before seeing a flyer for F-zero vehicles. "I make things that go fast and now am making weaponry for racing vehicles. Its hard work and not a whole lot of pay but it's the only thing I was able to get into." Nitori said rejecting her fates plans for failure in the racing circuit. "Plus my last driver quit on me due to a difference in idea's and how to move the company forward, and the fucker took the vehicle also making sure I couldn't race!"

Marisa smirked as her mind raced through many what if's before opening her mouth to speak. "Well, what if I raced under your company name? at least till you get another driver, how does that sound? I mean I need a win to pick me and my ego back up." Marisa remarked hoping Nitori hasn't seen DA and her fiasco in fighting Eternity.

"Ah yes your fight with Eternity, I would be disappointed in your fight but being here in the Omniverse changes everything. The strong are subverted by the weak as much as I hate saying that." The two scowled at how Seija seemed to be right here, the weak from back home had reversed the roles on the strong. "But yes you can race for me though it might be a good idea to find another person willing to drive in this with you." Nitori then shooed the love sign magician off as she started to work on other parts for other customers; leaving Marisa to her own devices.

Rin was doing his daily perusing of the Coruscant black market, when he overheard a slug-like creature whispering to another slug-like creature, "What the fuck do these slugs have to hide?" Rin thought to himself as he shuffled away from the grenade launchers and towards the slimy green masses, now that Rin was close enough to actually understand the mumbling of the slug-like blobs, he heard one of them whispering "We need to check on the women, Ra'Lek!" to the other and then they hurried (As fast as a Hutt can hurry) to a car and started driving away, little did they know that Rin Takao, the deadly assassin was tailing them.

Luckily for Rin, the intense gridlock and traffic stopped the 2 Hutts long enough for Rin to hotwire a car, "God, what a piece of bloody shit this is." he mumbled under his breath. After the traffic dispersed and the cars started moving Rin made sure to stay back, so he wouldn't look conspicuous.

The Hutts pulled into the driveway of what looked to be an abandoned derelict warehouse and when inside, Rin drove a few blocks past the warehouse and parked his new car up there. He light-footedly walked up to the 12ft the metal gate, "heh" he thought to himself as he then leapt up 13ft over the fence landing on his feet with surprisingly little noise. Rin saw a Hutt guard standing at the warehouse door and quickly ducked into the shadows, although not quick enough, as the Hutt slithered towards the gate and mumbled, spinning round and returning to his post at the door, it was at this moment, Rin had an idea "If I need to attack one of these slugs, I can just turn into salt and dry them up" he thought to himself as his body turned into tiny grains of salt and rolled toward the slug man guarding the door, and rolled over the Hutts foot causing it to melt and become dead ooze, the Hutt let out a deep and guttural scream as he slowly melted, alerting all the Hutts in the warehouse.

5 Hutts slithered outside to investigate their dead brethren but by the time the Tommy Gun wielding slugs exited the building the salt pile formerly known as Rin was inside and looking around. Rin focussed for a few seconds and reverted back to his regular human form, quickly yet quietly he ran over to a door and opened it...

He was greeted with the sight of a dozen woman no older than 20, some being Twi'Lek but most being humans, both races being gagged and bound, all of them emaciated and malnourished, most beaten and battered and bruised, as soon as they saw light coming through the door opening and realized it wasn't one of the Hutts, they immediatly started trying to talk through their gags, Rin took off one of the womens gags and heard "Thank you so much, how did you get in, "Ok, listen, I can only take one of you, but trust me, I will come back for the rest of you" Rin whispered to the girls. Rin examined the chains as fast as he could, "Fuck, I didnt want to do this. Girls, cover your ears" he said as he pulled out his revolver and fired a round into the chain, causing the chain to break off of the wall. The loud noise of the gun alerted all 5 of the Hutts making them slither into the room. They all were somewhat gobsmacked at the fact that somebody had gotten into the warehouse without anybody actually seeing him, but before any of the Hutt's could even figure out what happened, one of them had 2 bullet holes in the face, causing it to flop to the ground, using his quick thinking, Rin used the dead body of the Hutt henchman as a sheild, giving him just enough time to turn into salt before the bullets from the Tommy Guns flew through the slimy body of the Hutt.

Rin squeezed through a gap in the 4 remaining Hutt's formation in an attempt to block the door, still not realizing that Rin has turned into salt, the leader of this group of Hutts yelled out "Keep shootin' boys, he's bound to come out soon" as his henchmen sprayed their ammunition into the body of his former worker, but at that exact moment, along with the rest of the Hutts in the group his cold cold mobster heart dropped, as he heard "Are you sure I'm still there, fam?" and felt a cold steel gun barrel on the back of his gooey green head, and with a quick bang he then felt nothing at all and all of the Hutts froze with fear. "3 of them left, then I can get the girls out of here" Rin thought to himself, one of the hutts ran in to the room and pointed the gun at one of the women and started yelling "HUMAN, LEAVE US OR I WILL KILL ALL OF THESE WOMEN ONE BY ONE", "Do it you fat prick, you dont have the balls to go through with it without your boss" Rin replied.

BANG, the woman that Rin promised to save just had her brains blown out of her skull and all over the wall, that was when the muffled whimpers from the women became muffled screaming, "WHO'S NEXT? WHO WANTS TO FUCKING DIE NEXT, FUCK IT, I AM THE NEW LEADER OF THIS GROUP, IM TAKING CHARGE!" the Hutt yelled at Rin, pointing his Tommy gun at another woman's head and squeezing the trigger causing a loud bang to ring out and also causing a bullet to fire out into the woman's skull spraying bone fragments, brain matter, and blood everywhere, "What are you doing just standing there, shoot at him." the Hutt shouted at his new henchmen. The henchmen turned around, and both sprayed their ammo drums towards Rin, Rin quickly dodged the bullets and rapidly shot a bullet directly into one of the Hutts heads.

Rin kept shooting at the 2 remaining Hutts, who kept killing the women in the room. Rin was hit before killing the 2 Hutts.

"Arghhh, fuck..." Rin said as he stumbled towards the room, checking for any survivors, "Shit, nobody... A-All dead. Can't walk..." Rin thought to himself as he collapsed with a bullet in his stomach, surrounded by dead women and dead slugs.

Tier Five was according to gossip that he had heard on Tier One, one of the most lawless areas. The place was not well kept, and it was like the Empire had abandoned the place. Since Jack needed to grow more skilled at the manipulation, and use of Omnilium such a place was the ideal place to begin his practice. In addition, he needed to hone his will so that it was sharper than a sword and could cut his opponents down to size. His opponents in this case being the Sinestro Corps. As he was now, Jack knew he didn't stand a chance. The decayed city reminded him of some of the areas back home. People didn't care enough to attempt to repair the place, or rather, wouldn't waste their time doing so. Unlike them, Jack planned to do more for the people of this tier. Jack planned on making this tier shine, and make it great once more. Obviously to do that, he was going to need replacement limbs for himself because he couldn't do much without his hands. Using his tongue to push buttons had gotten old, and gotten old fast.

The lawlessness of the Tier was going to work in his favor. Likely laws would not be as strongly enforced here, which gave the young Ex Lantern a bit of lee way when it came to training himself up so that he could be ready. Preparation was half the battle after all. Waltzing through the ruined streets, Jack noticed the stripped vehicles, and the broken down doors. Walls that had Graffiti of various gangs on it were also observed by him. Tier Five was not a place for the faint of heart. And yet, for now, until he could consider himself ready to elevate his status, it would be what he called home. Law and Order needed to come back to this part of Coruscant and he was going to bring it back himself. To do so, he was going to need his hands back.

No, he was going to need something more powerful than his limbs. His limbs had been fleshy, and weak. What he needed were limbs that were not as easy to cut off of him. Amputation had not been a fun activity that he had experienced. Fortunately she had knocked him unconscious, but that was the only kindness she had shown. His hands still surged with pain when he merely thought of what had been done. The psychological trauma of such was going to take a while for him to heal from. This was one of the reasons he was not engaging the Sinestro Corps in any form of combat yet.

Another reason was that he didn't have the skills that he needed. Unlike previously he was not going to go into a battle half-cocked. Learning more about the enemy he was going to face was going to be essential. Yet even before he could do any of that, Jack was going to have the experience he needed to face off with the Sinestro Corps.

Entering a run down, roach infested apartment building, Jack talked with the owner.

"If I protect you from the protection racket, can I stay here?" asked Jack.

"Why would you want to stay here?" asked the owner.

"It's a fixer-upper, and a place where I can begin my preparations."

"Alright. I'll charge you a tennis ball sized chunk of Omnilium, and then you're the new owner of the place."

Jack handed over the Omnilium, and smiled. While not an ideal place to live, this would be the start of something grand. The start of his preparations to create the Green Lanterns in the Omniverse. Through his power the Green Lanterns would exist, and he would be the rising star of the Omniverse. A symbol of Hope, for the citizens of Coruscant that lived on this Tier. Sure the place needed a lot of repairs before it would be 'fit for human habitation' but he could do those repairs himself. And once he had done the repairs he would have a place where he could stay free of charge. Granted, this was the best place for what he needed, given the circumstances that he was going to have to deal with.

Of course, the line for Coruscant was two miles long and each person tool five hours to finally get all of their documents scanned. It felt like months had passed before Chloe was finally up next. She unmasked herself from her stylized hood, reavealing her dark skin. Large decorative spray spots and colors covering most one side of the jacket, her dark leggings reflected the same design.

"Name?"

"Chloe Mattews"

"Reason for visit?"

"I live here dammit."

"Present your Coruscant ID."

"Ugh, just here."

She presented a small chip to the officer, who waved for one of the stormtroopers to retrieve it.

"Check for malware and such before doing a full scan."

"Will do."

A few minutes later they came back with her chip.

"Everything in order, please proceed."

"Finally, dipshits."

The officer leered at Chloe as she passed through the scanners, the green lights going off as she was finally allowed into the city. Security was always so tight over here, especially since fresh Primes had a way with barging in and fucking shit up. Just last year some guys came through and they sent a whole marine squad after them. That aside, Chloe continued through the streets, already mapping out the route to the library. Within her backpack she revealed a small hoverboard, throwing it on the ground before zipping her pack back up and swining it back over her shoulder. Now woth the agility of her board, she weaved in and out of the streets as she followed her gps, pulling up info on her dataverse device about recent events. It had been a while since she had returned home, especially to her studio in tier three.

Soon she found herself at her destination and flipped her board up, skipping to a walk and snatching her board out of the air. She walked up the steps of the library and walked inside, the cool refreshing air greeting her. As much as she visited this place, it wasn't out oflove for books. At least, not all these shitty ones that the empire approved, but for the more niche 'books' that she could find from fellow 'readers'. Only here would you be able to publicly talk about certain things without arousing suspcion. Well, in the legal sense.

Chloe stuffed her board back into her bag as she walked about, looking around for wherever those she would looking for were gathering. It was different every time. They had to make it look like chance meetings, and they mostly were, which helped stave off any peering eyes and librarians. That Rex guy seemed pretty paranoid about it sometimes.

Eventually, wandering through the aisles, she found herself a small group.

"Hey guys, reading some good stuff?" She asked the question with a smirk and a nod hoping this was the right place.

"Yeah, some lesser known authors if you're interested." One of the group responded with a flat tone, giving Chloe a look to see if she knew what she was doing.

"Sign me up, need to add a bit to my own personal library, right? Maybe I can give you some recommendations of my own."

Many from the group nodded, acknowledging the undertone in her voice, making a space for her to sit with them.

"So how about we start with this one..."
