After over a Friggin Year.... Even over a Year from my first Draft... At Kevins House.... Even after a Second Place... to Avery Hayes..... I have finally won my first FNM Draft.....
Pack 1 Pick 1... Foil Monestary Mentor... And Went Abzan Colors when I was joking about going Dump Truck.
Pack 3 Pick 1... Windswept Heath...
Played White, Black and Green... And not only won... but went 2-0 All three Games...
Finally a win under the belt.... and THE CHAMP IS HERE....

Only if you go to a regional one like in Chicago.
Speaking of Pre-Releases I just participated in a 3 Day pre-release for Dragons of Tarkir. First day grabbed Atarka but ended up rolling GW due to drafting Dromoka and some really solid bolster in white. Went 2-0 all the way till the end my first day, last games were really tight against a UB guy who managed to draft 3 ultimate prices and 3 duress plus a silumgar. Managed to get Dromoka out before he got Silumgar which bought me enough time to win in spite of him stealing my Sun scorched reagent which was buffed to hell and back at the time. 1st place win.
Second day I grabbed a box of Dromoka but ended up rolling a non clan color combination R/W after a pretty bad first game loss to another UB player attempting to play the clan colors. Don't know why I didn't do it in the first place, break the lines and soul fire grand master are just too good. Afterwards through creative use of Break the Line and morphs I managed to pretty much roll everyone, even the person who got a Narset the Transcendent didn't have much of a prayer when I was able to just lay down cards and given them unblockable and haste for 1 red mana.
Unfortunately the first loss when I was playing GW hurt my standing and that was only a 3rd place finish, but all in all I pulled in over a box of Dragons and am looking forward to the next set at this particular store for a similar return.
Got a foil Sarkhan Unbroken from my packs along with a death mist raptor which pretty much paid for both drafts by themselves so that's good.
