Dimensional Drifter / Guy St. Sage (WIP) - Geist - 02-08-2015

Character name:Guy St. Sage

Character source: Original

Character history:The future was wrecked by the five remaining Mega Corporations, simply known as the Big5. Each using and exploiting to get a step and hand hold to get above the other. Even with the terrible mistake was the cholophases, a way to brake down the spiraling out of control waste production and create a new food source. Within a living host it would send it's spores into their lungs, to grow and consume from the inside out. Sadly this had not been the case when it had broke out of a lab have it grow exponentially, until simply be stopped by freezing temp on it's continual crawl to take over the North American continent. Soon to spread with the panic it had cause to the others.

In the end the was no profit in correcting the mistake, simply it had been time to find a new world and repeat the process. One of the folks trained for the task was Guy and along with a few others. Sent to explore once a probe sent had returned deeming the dimensional world habitual. Whether his loyalty was to the Big5 or if was a free ticket off the sinking ship that was that planet. Deemed that task required to be trained in close quarters combat and possible hostile environment survival tactics. The passing weeks and days had met with various failures with the probes, with some crushed under insane pressure, another encased in an impenetrable crystalline structure, until one had shown promising results.

Finally suiting up, being one of the few surviving of the group. While other had came to rather, unfortunate and classified ends. In this case, the last probe had captured the attention of the Omni. Where there was one machine that visited, there was new play things to come soon after. Now, stepping though a gate only to simply have it be an one-way trip. Now a stranger in a strange world, would he find a way back... Will he try?
Physical Description: (originals only)

A rather lean fellow at the height of just a bit over six foot. Finely cropped silver-white hair in a uniform buzz-cut. His eyes blaze with a fury in the rich green glow. Life in final few colonies far north had left him with a rather pale complexion. A world weary expression from the experiences he had been through on that dystrophia. Along with under nourishment from the syth-food. His attire starting from his head and downwards consists of; Firstly his head is adorned with a dark green beret that has a tendency of slumping to the right, that hides the majority of his silvery hair and has a light green counter-wise swirl on the very top. His neck his met with a silvery chain that has a single jet black hexagonal stone charm attached. The upper wear was a forest green vest with the same swirls one above the right breast and the other left of his navel. Under is a flowing sleeved shirt a few tones lighter than the vest and ending with golden buttons at the ending cuffs. His pants were a generic with the same color as the vest with two spirals at the knee caps each in different directions. Finally his caffs were met with black jack boots.

Starting Moves:(900, unless prices for moves get changed will adjust from there.)
CQC (Close Quarters Combat): In the typical CQC stance, the user holds their gun (a one handed weapon such as a pistol) with their dominant hand while supporting it with the other hand, which holds their CQC knife. By using this stance, the gun remains steady for accurate engagement of opponents outside the range of unarmed combat, while allowing a quick transition to the knife for close-work.
Stun Knife: A synth-steel blade made for all propose use, with a built in function for powerful yet non-lethal electric charge through the blade. Allowing a target to stunned, instead of a lethal alternative use.
Plasma Handgun:(Ranged pro)(300?) Using shell jacked kinetic rounds? Do you think metal grows trees? Part of the standard issue since the turn of the century, a bit bulk and prone to over heating. Still easy to repair and recharge through proper upkeep. How it works, simple a micro-fusion nuclear reaction to superheat a cartridge of gas into the state of matter known as plasma and then release it in a concentrated blast of weapons fire using an electromagnetic bubble.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

Not needed, as long as you have the profs (in which you do), you could just do this without a move.

Quote:Stun Knife: A synth-steel blade made for all propose use, with a built in function for powerful yet non-lethal electric charge through the blade. Allowing a target to stunned, instead of a lethal alternative use.

Does this only stun or does it do damage too? And if it can do both, can you switch between the two or is it at the same time? How long does the stun last and how powerful?
Also, how long is the knife in measurements?
(Me and blade length Tongue )

What's the rate of fire on this thing? How thick is the plasma (as in, how big a hole would it leave if it hit something?)

Item uno: I wasn't sure about the CQC, since it was more for being able to dis-arm humanoid combatants than over all. Eh, tired mind trying make sense of it all.

Item dos: It's an either or both option. I was thinking it was rather handle-grip activated with short bursts instead of continual stream of current. The object was for a burst enough to knock out the standard human target. Blade Length: 7 1/2" Overall Length: 13 1/2"

Item tres: Firing it at safe speed? I'd say a single shot every 15-20 seconds, faster would be far more risky and hinting that you wanted a chard stump instead of an arm, even if they had been lighter armored. Usually able to produce a fist-size bolt of plasma, up to a medium distance at most.

*Shivers at the mention "Dis-arming"* For future ref, do what you like with NPCs, but don't try to disarm another prime ^^; Omni will eat you probably

Alright, forget NPCs for a moment, we have to consider what would happen if you were to fight another player.
Take a look at what I had to do to get a stun move approved for my alt character here. Basically, we want to know how long it would last and effective it would be. Also, we'll need caveats for when you do damage and shock at the same time.
Also, the current set up will cost you 900 Om based on pricing rules

Let's see if I'm clear here:
Setting one: Stun and Damage (300)
Setting two: Damage (300)
Setting three: Stun (300)
Move total: 900

Am I clear on this?

This one is good! Just add it to the move itself

1.)So, should I just scratch CQC as a simple move set altogether?
2.)900 for the set works just fine with me.
3.)So, is it still 300 for the final or does it need to be re-reviewed?

Re: Dimensional Drifter / Guy St. Sage (WIP) - Guu - 02-09-2015

Please re-read the rules in the morning and get back to me then. I don't think you fully comprehend what I'm asking of you. ^^;

Re: Dimensional Drifter / Guy St. Sage (WIP) - Geist - 02-09-2015

Stun Knife: (900) (Strength pro / Debuff pro)
A synth-steel blade made for all propose use coming in at blade Length: 7 1/2" and overall Length: 13 1/2", with a built in function for powerful yet non-lethal electric charge through the blade. Issued out those tasked and trained up for the project. Able to be used in short ranged swings and stabs with trained accuracy. A secondary setting is sparked into life with a firm grip on the handle to send a strong current through out the blade. In a combined mixture of an attack would require a longer wait for the prefect open to maximize the greatest effectiveness.
(Successful strike, the target is greatly slowed for the next post.)
[Having the three optional uses, normal (Moderate injury?), charged (Minor) and mixed (Moderate with stun?).]
<Caveat> Doesn't sack, Several round recharge after use?
With continual usage on a same target, less opening become available with knowledge of the attack?

Plasma Handgun:(Ranged pro)(300) Part of the standard issue since the turn of the century, a bit bulk and prone to over heating. Still easy to repair and recharge through proper upkeep. How it works, simple a micro-fusion nuclear reaction to superheat a cartridge of gas into the state of matter known as plasma and then release it in a concentrated blast of weapons fire using an electromagnetic bubble. Able to be fired safely at burst of 15-20 seconds with-out risks of major heating to the weapon itself. The fist size bolts of plasma are spewed forth up medium before rapidly dropping off with massively decreased accuracy.

Alright, a bit better! Please read everything I say thoroughly and take your time making edits. If you skip over my paragraphs again, I might have to suspend your submission for a few days, so keep that in mind.

1. Battles between players are generally 3 rounds long, so basically it's once per PVP battle, which works so keep that caveat.

2. I mostly get this move though your wording is a little odd.

3. I think you need a line that makes it clear that you can choose between damage, stun, or damage and stun since it's only insinuated here.

4. I'll need a description of what it looks like when you shock without damage since clearly you're not stabbing.

5. How about this for a caveat: Along with the recharge, let's say that a combination of damage and shock only lightly stuns, while a full on shock without damage moderately stuns. However, a full shock makes the knife too hot and you can't use it for the rest of the round. This caveat would give you a point to having a choice.

"The fist size bolts of plasma are spewed forth up medium before rapidly dropping off with massively decreased accuracy."
Spewed forth up medium? I don't quite understand what this line is trying to say. Also, I changed some text; it's in bold. I think that's what you meant with that part I'm guessing, I changed it so it's a lot more clear.

With trained ease and finesse, a flurry of well-placed slashes can be lunched at the target. A built in function for powerful yet non-lethal electric charge through the blade. Issued out those tasked and trained up for the project. The secondary setting is sparked into life with a firm grip on the handle to send a strong current through out the blade. Simply needing a glancing strike against the the target's body to deliver the harsh jolt. A combined mixture of an attack, to make a third type of attack. Lunching in the practiced blows, weaving into their guard to finally place a deep thrust to bury the blade deeper to deliver a far more concentrated jolt to the nervous system.
(Successful strike, the target is greatly slowed for the next post.)
[Having three forms: the simple striking, the feinting blow to numbing the stuck area, a mixture of both deep blow with a full blast of electrical current]
<Caveat> Doesn't stack, single use shock per fight.

Plasma HandgunSadRanged pro)(300) Part of the standard issue, since the turn of the century. The bulky mess of hardware is prone to over heating. Still easy to repair and recharge through proper upkeep. How it works, simple a micro-fusion nuclear reaction to superheat a cartridge of gas into the state of matter known as plasma. Soon releasing it in a concentrated blast of weapons fire using an electromagnetic bubble. The plasma handgun can be fired safely at the rate 15-20 seconds burst-shots without risks of major heating to the weapon itself. The fist-size neon green bolts of plasma are spewed forth, to a medium range before dramatically tapering off to leave the tell-tale warped and darkly scorched hole. (Not really sure medium range is within the omni canon)

Re: Dimensional Drifter / Guy St. Sage (WIP) - Guu - 02-09-2015

Hmmm, the stun knife move doesn't make much sense to me...

Ok, tell you what, outside of spelling errors which you could just fix on your own time, I think everything but Stun Knife looks ok. How about I approve everything but that so you could get started on your roster and stuff like that? Then you can submit Stun Knife to the Move Approval thread for the other mods to poke and prod at. How does that sound?

Re: Dimensional Drifter / Guy St. Sage (WIP) - Geist - 02-09-2015

Sure. The stun knife just starting to feel more and more half baked. It's going to need more than my addled brain to fix it.
