Omniverse Stars - Bandit With No Name - 06-27-2018 So, does the OV have the same stars in the sky at night? Do they follow a pattern? RE: Omniverse Stars - Handsome Jack - 06-27-2018 Each Verse (aside from the Void, Oververse, Astral Verse, Dataverse, and Nexus) has different star formations. While we don't have a canon star chart for each Verse, you're welcome to come up with one for your own use. I assume, in particular, that the Deeps tends to use stars a lot in their navigation. RE: Omniverse Stars - Sasuke Uchiha - 06-27-2018 This is an interesting question. Doubling down on it, are you asking about constellations specifically? Like whether or not there is a Big Dipper in the Omniverse? This question is intriguing to me, because if I ever rolled Maui from Moana(Which I think about constantly) I would want to put Maui's fishhook constellation in the sky over the Vasty Deeps! (Would this be allowed or nah?) So not trying to hijack this thread, but Bandit raises some good questions! RE: Omniverse Stars - Bandit With No Name - 06-27-2018 Yeah, I was intrigued by Kopaka's thread about Horoscopes. I know that, in the end, writers will make up whatever constellations suit their story, I was just curious if there was any kind of canon about what loomed up in the sky. I think it would make the best sense that perhaps the stars seemed... different for each person? I feel like trying to have some kind of unified star chart would jsut be nit picky and silly for the community as a whole? Just a super interesting meta question for me, personally RE: Omniverse Stars - Trixie - 06-27-2018 I believe nights are artificial on the lower Tiers of Coruscant, but Tier 1 experiences whatever stars would be visible in the EU. Don't quote me though. This is just how I've written it. Plus, I don't think the city ever fucking sleeps or shuts off. Like New York x10. Pretty sure stars are based on the north and south hemispheres, so the ones in T1 would be the same ones you yanks see, sometimes the names are different though. RE: Omniverse Stars - Karl Jak - 06-27-2018 Yea, all the verses have stars/constellations. There's no strict canon about what constellations and stars are up there in the various verses, though. Individual writers can fluff that as they see fit. I do wanna say that, quite possibly, the Pale Moors don't have stars. I always saw the PMs as being perpetually overcast, but I dunno how other writers have portrayed that. (also the UV doesn't have stars...) And like Joe said, Coruscant's has a sky on T1 (albeit its a super metropolis so good luck even see stuff at night) and the middle tiers have synthetic/artificial 'stars/night skies'. I'd argue that Tier 6 and 7 lack these amenities. RE: Omniverse Stars - Bandit With No Name - 06-27-2018 Sickness RE: Omniverse Stars - Aaron - 06-27-2018 A while back I was actually talking and planning with Greggo about some classified OV canon regarding planets and stars in each verse's sky. Suffice to say, there is a night sky in each verse, possibly with some planets as well, but they are static and unchanging, in the same vein that there are no seasons. For now, fluffing it out is perfectly acceptable. Joe's answers about Coruscant are accurate. The Pale Moores does have a night sky behind its (nearly) constant cloud cover. I'm claiming dibs as the OV expert on this lore. |
