Does one make a new roster if one's current roster from a switched character is archived, or does one just unarchive the roster and edit it? I did the latter with Ballad for Isaac Clarke and I was wondering if that was the "proper" way or not.

You make a new roster every time you make a new character, regardless of if you switched.
If you switch back to a character you had before, I guess you could ask for it to be unarchived so you can edit it into shape, but normally it's simpler just to copy over the stuff you want into a fresh thread.

I strongly recommend saving entire copies of your old rosters when you switch.
