Grand finals - Karl Jak - 05-01-2018
With double-elimination tournaments, your final match pits the remaining 'Winning' team against the team that survives the 'Loser' bracket.
In many instances, the losing team has to be the Winning team twice to claim victory -- this is intended to give an advantage/cushion to the team that has gone undefeated up to this point. In other events, the final is sudden death like any other match.
I want you all to decide whether you want the final to be sudden death or 'traditional' forma (Winning team must lose twice).
For the record, I have no preference.

I like Sudden Death. If only so we don't just get a rehash of the same fight twice in a row. That'll be fatiguing for both the readers AND the writers.
Edit: so the winning team still has an advantage, maybe the losing team comes into that fight without the customary between fight healz? Or the winning team gets a Syntech item for an advantage?

Idea, what if instead of the winning team fighting twice, what if after the undefeated team is beaten, the next match is just a four way brawl?
Edit: At that point in the fight, all players deserve to go for the gold.

Sudden death, but the round has an increased number of posts, or the winners bracket team gets some benefit, like an additional post, allowing them to leave the final impression for consideration.

Yeah I'm not sure. I don't like the idea of the winners having earned nothing (they could go all the way to the top and have one loss and that's it) but I'm not really sure I know how to balance it.

I agree with this.
Sudden death but the winners bracket champs have some kind of advantage. Maybe IC they get to choose the location or 'style', and OOC they get to choose going first or last on the posts (hint: always go last).

Grand finals will be sudden death.
The team from the Winner bracket will select the style of the arena and the team will receive an additional post at the end of the fight.
Example post order for a fight
Gilgamesh and Sasuke (Winner Bracket) vs Deadpool and Retane (Loser Bracket)
Sasuke 1 - Deadpool 1 - Gilgamesh 1 - Retane 1 - Sasuke 2 - Deadpool 2 - Gilgamesh 2 - Retane 2 - Sasuke or Gilgamesh 3
