Conversations with Chaos - James Knight - 01-17-2018

A run down warehouse on Tier One was where Warren now found himself. After a long talk with Ricky the two of them had agreed to reconvene here. When Ricky arrived with a pizza for him, Warren knew the information he was about to have to ask was not going to be easy to get the answer to. Savoring the delectable and not entirely nutritious cheese pizza, a cheese lovers, to be exact Warren sighed. "So, someone has been going around, and masquerading as me here in the Omniverse, right?" asked Warren, as he tried to figure it out. Someone was masquerading as him, and that someone apparently was very powerful - much to his annoyance because Warren had been reduced in strength quite a lot. Even his NFL-R was likely not to be enough, to allow him to triumph over whoever it was.

"Well. The nature of the Omniverse is that someone named Omni essentially brought us all here,"  began Ricky, trying to avoid letting any irritation or anger into his voice. With how agitated the man he was trying to calm down seemed it would not be a wise idea to let him know they were trapped. "He is essentially using us for what amounts to "cheap entertainment" Warren. I know you don't like me because I betrayed you, to join the Guardians. However, we must work together. We can't afford to do anything else here in the Omniverse. Primes must unite our forces if we are to survive here in this place. Plus, you don't have a working NFL-R do you?" asked Ricky, trying to persuade Warren to work with him. Reforming Wild Card was not going to be an easy task. Yet it really was the only option because Ricky refused to waste a potential resource here in the Omniverse.

How did Ricky know that he didn't have an NFL-R?

RE: Conversations with Chaos - James Knight - 01-17-2018

"I do not in fact have my NFL-R, no. My attempts to recreate it using Omnilium so far have been less than satisfactory,"  growled Warren. Warren didn't like it that he could not shape this substance or make it heed his desires which was that it turn into an NFL-R, a device he genuinely needed. Just what was wrong with him? Omni had said there were other Primes. Ergo, other Primes could do this. Just what exactly was holding him back from doing this, and how did he resolve it? Warren needed his NFL-R because he knew that his suit was definitely going to come in handy here in the Omniverse. Blast it all, he was going to build a new version of his NFL-R no matter what it took him to do so. Ricky then sighed. "Omnilium isn't the easiest to manipulate, but here. I will guide you through this because you need to learn. Not knowing how could put you at a disadvantage anyway."

So if he did not learn how to use this Omnilium,  mental images of Warren dying various deaths came to mind. There was no way he was going to get strapped to a conveyor belt and then fed to a meat grinder. Someone was not going to throw a giant fireball and end him. There was going to be no buster sword splitting his body in half if he could help it, and no giant ax doing that either. In short, Warren knew he needed to make sure the chances of his death were slimmer. To do that he needed to learn how to work this substance. While it was not something he was familiar with, it was something that could be learned. Though learning fro an enemy did leave a sour taste in his mouth, Warren did not see many options. It wasn't like there was a school for this.

Sitting cross legged on the ground,  Warren stared at his young former apprentice who had betrayed him for the Guardians. Why was he doing this? Why train someone like him, who was beyond redemption in his own eyes? Ricky then held up the rainbow colored orb of Omnilium, and looked at Warren. "This substance is called by many names, but most people call it Omnilium. It is the currency of the place we are trapped in, the Omniverse. The material can be transmuted into anything, I assume it is some sort of nanotechnological or picobot based material, but I couldn't honestly be sure. This can create anything you desire, as long as you have enough of the material to do it with. You have probably already heard the part from Omni, but let me reiterate. Anything you can imagine. Even a fully functional NFL-R."  The reason Ricky was telling Warren this, was that Ricky hated to see people helpless. Ricky then looked at him and held out his other hand. A buster sword that was made out of a red crystal appeared in his hand.  "As I told you. The substance can make anything you imagine. It can also be used on already existing materials to augment them. You should try now."

Warren closed his eyes, and concentrated. Technology like the NFL-R was comprised of specialized circuitry. Circuitry was electronics. Electronics were metals and circuit boards put together in a particular fashion to do as one wished. Technology was something he knew, and was familiar with.  "I believe I've got it,"  spoke Warren as he poured a good chunk of his will power into making the Omnilium yield to his will. A surge of rainbow light later, and on his right arm was the item he had been wanting for himself all along. An NFL-R, but one for himself.

While most people would have thought arming Warren with an NFL-R was not a smart decision, Ricky knew Warren was somewhere completely unfamiliar. Perhaps a piece of home or more than one would help him keep his sanity, and slow down any criminal acts. In any case, Ricky knew that it would benefit him to have Warren able to protect himself, so he didn't always have to save Warren when it came down to it. Sure he had the ability to manipulate flame, but it was not something he planned on using very often.

RE: Conversations with Chaos - James Knight - 01-22-2018

Coruscant while it may be a technological paradise had a number of things against it, in the opinion of Warren Zimmer. The presence of the Storm Troopers was one of the things that he deemed as not satisfactory. Each of them after all would probably pummel him if given the chance. With that in mind, he knew that he could not in good conscience allow himself to stay on Coruscant. It was bad for his health if he were to remain here. The Quarterback of Chaos was many things, but an idiot was not one of them. In his current state, without the bulk of his physical power Warren knew he was no match for the Storm Troopers. Any battling against them would result in him losing. While it was true Primes could spawn over and over again, like video game characters Warren had no intention of trying the patience of the individual who had abducted him like that. It was times like these that Warren wished he had a Super Bowl Ring, or a Megacore.

As he made his way towards the gate, leaving Ricky behind he thought about it. According to what both Omni had said, and Ricky had parroted Omnilium could make anything one desired. As long as one had enough of it, that was. So all he needed to do was get enough of the shimmering rainbow colored substance, and perhaps he could create anything he wanted. It was a long shot, but one that he was interested in trying. After all, he'd never had freedom to create anything he could imagine with something like this before. The possibilities were virtually endless. As he had a lot of ground to cover, Warren picked up his pace. Sure he was not the fastest or the strongest of the Primes right now. However, he was determined he was not going to be at the mercy of anyone. This meant he had to become somewhat more powerful than he was, so he could protect himself.

Once he finally reached the exit to Coruscant, Warren walked through it, not even bothering to look back.
