He Came from The Void - W.D. Gaster - 10-20-2017

After the flash of light had entered the Void, the entity's first reaction was to shield himself from the incoming light, raising his arm of darkness over his skull and closed his eyes. What was going to happen next was a mystery, causing his mind to race at the sudden occurrence, but in the mist of the situation, he reopened his eyes and saw a large being of light right in front of him.

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”

Omni hands him the glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."

“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn. That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

With the dream ending, in the vast white-space, it was awhile that the entity slowly motioned from his recent state as the formally nonexistent entity's hands motioned, slowly awakening as he felt oddly different. His memory of what happened before was horrendously blurry but this still part of the dream? The maddening headache that he received indicated that he wasn't sure anymore. As he was silently looking about on his new surroundings, a stark remainder of what happened at the fall briefly flashed through his thoughts, causing his eyes to widen as a scream of horror echoed as the CORE was falling apart around him. His former assistant rushed as he tried to save him from the fall by reaching out for him but he was too late; Gaster had fallen in deep into his own creation.

"gaster!"

Closing his eyes, the entity shook his head in disbelief as he couldn't believe this was real. He was in denial about everything and rightfully so, he knew he wasn't going to be freed; it was futile, impossible even, to think of such a concept would occur. Gaster already lost majority of his sanity to that accursed place that was like purgatory however he was no fool. He took a moment to wonder about this childlike God, Omni, could he trust such a being? Or were they secretly a deceptive mastermind playing their newest piece like a pawn of the chessboard? It was much like the same chessboard that the entity played with the monsters of the Underground after his disappearance; in conclusion, Life might as well be filled with mysteries and wonders but at the same time, it's just like a game. A familiar one albeit it, however, upon reopening his eyes, a widened smile crept across the entity's face. He should be grateful that his freedom was granted by this being, in fact, he should take it especially with the fact that the new element, Omnilium, sounds very, very interesting.

If he could extract as much Omnilium as he could, regaining his strength and even build up on things, he would easily topple his greatest creations even moreso the CORE itself. Oh what a wild fantasy. He always wanted to push further beyond what he could do and make an impact, just as what he did in the Underground.

As he carefully got himself up from the ground, he tried a small experiment as explained to him. Of course, he knew next to nothing of this place but the will to experiment, to manipulate things in his favor, was a favorite pasttime. After all, he was the Royal Scientist and he was and still is a monster of ambition, however, what is one thing that he wanted to keep close? Something that he wanted to tag around? It's been so long since he was last in the Underground, almost an eternity ago. Looking back to the memories of his past, what was the one thing he wanted?

A moment of silence.

His eyes widened as an idea came across his mind. Of course, his own Blasters, he never goes without those around to protect him and provide him an offensive measure against aggressors. Knowing the time-space continuum, there were bound to be those who are hostiles, especially in means of those Humans among other threats in the unknown; more alien creatures that might pose as a threat to him. After all, Gaster wasn't exactly young as he was before all those years ago, admittingly as the parent of two, he's the equal of a-okay, he's not all favorable of being called an 'old man' especially the fact that Sans did joke about it on top of the awful but ironically funny puns he spout out, especially the ones in scientific terms.

No, stop. Focus. Set aside those silly puns and concentrate on the objective.

He took a moment and sighed as sometime later, albeit a bit more, he brought the thing into question into his immediate area, but was surprisedly very tiring afterwards. Of course, the floating goat skull would react immediately to Gaster's fatigue and catch him from falling over on the ground; it was at that point he realized weakness. All his Blasters were supportive one way or another and the one with the fastest reaction was Prometheus, much unlike Sans' own, who seems to had a lazy streak while Papyrus' own, who had an energetic streak.

"Ugh, thank you, Prometheus. However, I had a feeling there was going to be another means on this ordeal considering the changes. This universe is not merely a code anymore but something else entirely; that is why my magic is weak here. I could only do much before I am tired out." he answered as the Blaster pushed the entity back up and looked to Gaster with its purple hues before a grin crept across his face. "Come, we have to find an exit and leave this place. However, before we go any further, we have to consider our options and strategize. One brash move could be costly so we must be-"

Gaster was also a master of long drawn out speeches to himself and as he continued for the next thirty minutes, his Blaster seemed to nearly had fell asleep until..

"Prometheus! Now's not the time for a nap!"

Immediately, the Blaster woke up and shook its head before it looked down to Gaster fully alert. In response, the entity sighed before he eventually looked ahead from his location and noticed a strange fountain in the distance. Along with as it seems to be gateways to other areas ahead, however, he might as well stop at the foundation to see what has changed.

"Let's go before you sleep off..again." sighed the entity before he started off as the Blaster followed after him towards the fountain, hovering closeby in general, thinking about was it has done. It has been a bit lazy as of late but that's because Gaster was stuck in the Void for so long that its been somewhat lacking, he would have to fix that issue. However, remembering the first time he created the Blaster, brought a small smile across his face and as ironic as it seems, it also took the fall with him, almost mirroring the human myth; not because of angered Gods but because of the universe.

The travel wasn't that far as the fountain drawing closer in distance as there was a deep pool of water. When Gaster sat down to rest, he took the time to listen to the rushing water. It reminded him of Waterfall back in the Underground and upon investigation, he looked down into the pool of water and saw his reflection. He was no longer the unstable goop monster but a rather more stable variation.

"Hmm, I don't know how long I had been here but my body has readjusted itself however I am still not fully there currently. There is still much to do but atleast I am no longer just a large mess as I was in the Void. However, I wonder.." he sighed as Prometheus looked concerned for him almost as it was about to whimper. "Do not worry Prometheus. We will figure it all out; there's always a way in these predicaments."

He was tired and needed to gain back his strength for awhile to get a view of the surroundings. Everything happened so quickly and he was wondering what would happen if he met his sons again. What would he tell them? What would they do? Would they treat him the same like before? Or, just some stranger that crept out of nonexistence? The Void was a prison to him, dark, empty and maddening and it was his punishment for trying to tip the favor for monsterkind to eradicate Humans of the means of existence after so much loss. His soul was searching for answers but perhaps that it's best off to leave it to his own discoveries in this new chapter. At the time, Gaster's thoughts were racing but he can't waste anymore time here; it was a relief but that onset of loneliness he felt before was starting to return.

Before long, he sat up, readjusted himself and continued walking towards the gates in the distance. It looked close but the deception of the vast white-space made it hard to tell in general. After walking up for two hours, he was again tired out; talk about unfortunate but he really should had done something about that as in allowing Prometheus to carry him or something like that.

...Oh dear, was Sans' influence starting to get to him now?

The guards at the Coruscant and Camelot gates were as usual though to see another Prime to arrive wasn't a big ordeal unless there is a threat. Gaster looked at them both and did find interest with the Stormtroopers but had a visible distaste towards the guard in armor at the Camelot gate. It almost reminds him of the War but to put aside hostile feelings and focus on the narrative at hand was the more important thing. He is not here to provoke anyone, yet, but instead more interested in staying away from established civilizations where Humans would populate and go into the unknown. As he was idling for a bit, lost in his thoughts for the third time, Prometheus was looking around for something and hovered towards the forested Gate before Gaster turned around and noticed.

"Prometheus, stop! Don't you go in without me. Stay! STAY." ordered Gaster causing the floating goat skull to stop in place. It wasn't as reckless but it had a lot of energy when it picks up something. "Now, what is it? Do you sense something?"

Prometheus immediately turned around to confront Gaster as it nodded.

"Really? So there's a lead?" he asked with a tone of intrigue in his voice.

Again, Prometheus nodded.

"Hmm, how interesting. I wonder.." mumbled Gaster as he thought over what are the possibilities. If any of his sons or rather any monster happen to pass by here, it would lead something of a trail that the Blaster would pick up fast. Maybe that's why Prometheus is acting up in general. "Alright, we will start here. In fact, I believe it's the best choice we have if anything; come, let us depart."

Before long, Gaster walked over to join with Prometheus and upon closer investigation, the arch was composed of brown oak wood surrounded by thin vines, all encasing a purplish, swirling hole in the middle. They looked to the gate and entered inside, off to the Tangled Greens. Should it be one of his sons, it will be at utmost urgency they are to be found.
