Forum Game: Make a joke character! - Guu - 11-11-2014 Here's a fun little creative exercise! Think of a character from any piece of media that you'd never expect to be a player character on Omniverse. Now fill out a character sheet for that character. Try to create the most out-of-the-box character there is! It's not for realsies, so have fun with it! Note: If a character appears in this topic you want to play, don't let that discourage you. If you can make it work, then don't be deterred. We're just being silly. ----------------------------------------------- Character name: Red Brick Wall Character source: The Amazing World of Gumball Character history: He was just a wall, minding his own wall business. His best friend was a nearby manhole cover. One fateful day, a kid riding a skateboard come barreling down his way. The kid yelled "Move out of the way!" but the wall cried out "I can't!" Insistent, the kid yelled out again "Move out of the way!" But the distraught wall could only yell in terror "I can't, I'm a brick wall!" If it wasn't for the quick thinking of his friend Manhole Cover, he would have surely been mildly hurt. Nothing else of significance happens to Red Brick Wall. Well, except for getting snatched by Omni. Physical Description: Stats: ATK: 3 DEF: 5 SPD: 0 TEC: 2 Starting Proficiencies (2,400): Physical Strength (1,000 OM), Area Shield Proficiency (400 OM), Debuff Proficiency (1,000 OM) Starting Powers2,000) Survival (2,000 OM) Starting Moves: Fall On Someone (Requirement: Physical, Debuff) (600 OM): Brick Wall falls on an opponent. Not only damages opponent, but pins them to the ground. Caveat: Will be stuck in the position for all of eternity. What adventures await this character? Upon landing in the Nexus, he promptly goes nowhere because he's a wall. The next newbie to come in will pick a fight with the wall hoping for an easy victory, forcing Brick Wall to use his only attack. And thus he winds up lying flat on his face for all eternity. Raised Dave to prepare for SBURB and shit. Was a billionare because of online businesses. Lived in Texas. Was apparently a rapper. A good one. Pioneered, sold, and lived among Smuppets. Saved Dave as he tried to enter the game world by destroying a meteor. Ollied out on his rocket board. Later showed up to fight Jack Noir and attempt to Scratch the game session. Wound up here after getting the shit beaten out of him by Jack Noir. Physical Description: Stats: ATK: 3 DEF: 1 SPD: 3 TEC: 3 Starting Proficiencies: (2000) Physical Strength (1000 OM), Ranged Proficiency (1000 OM) Starting Powers: Burst Movement (800 OM), Master Acrobat (400 OM), Stealth (1200 OM) Starting Moves: Shitty Sword Unbreakable Katana -- 300 OM A katana. It's sharp, it cuts things. It's not really unbreakable, but Bro doesn't like to actually let onto that. Shadearangs -- 300 OM Throwing star type weapons in the shape of smaller versions of his trademark sunglasses. They're sharp, and he can throw them reasonably accurately. Upon arriving in the Nexus, Bro decides to check out the limits of this "Omnilium" stuff. He quickly settles on summoning his best pal, Lil' Cal. Success. He promptly summons a tricycle, and with business now being the most serious sort there is, pedals his way furiously away from the Fountain. Ending up in Coruscant. Where he reveals the glory (and creepiness) of Smuppets to a nongrateful verse. He mostly just messes around, catching SWEET AIR on his rocket board and running a Dataverse site that may or mat not cater to puppet fetish porn. Re: Forum Game: Make a joke character! - Inlumia - 11-19-2014 Got this from an old TV ad Character name: Birdseye Fish Chipee Character source: Ad for Birdseye Fish Chips Character history: Created in the factories of Birdseye frozen foods, he and his brother there were sealed in an airtight container, frozen solid and for a while knew only each other, darkness, cold and occasional movement, leaving them mentally scared. One day the container opened, and they were covered with it. Then they were shoved into an oven and baked, feeling everything. When they came out they were poured onto a plate and left on a table. A giant creature came and reached for them. The chipees tried to get as far away from the hand as possible. One pushed another forwards and the others called out "Eat him! Eat him!" The giant did just that. Then they heard a voice mention just how tasty they were and they replied as one "No we're not." Then the giant reached for another . . . . In the end there was only one survivor, because he fell off the back of the plate and rolled under the edge, out of sight. The plate started the rise, exposing him, but suddenly he was summoned by Omni. Physical Description: A 5 foot tall fish chip with eyes and a mouth. Stats: ATK: 2 DEF: 3 SPD: 3 TEC: 2 Starting Proficiencies (1000): Physical Strength (1000 OM) Starting Powers (3200): Master Acrobat (400 OM) Survival (2000) Shrink (800) Starting Moves: Body Slam -- 300 OM As he lack limbs, he has only a limited range of movements. One is to slam himself onto his opponet Kick -- 300 OM Despite not having legs, he can somehow "kick" out with his lower half and not fall while doing so. Personnality: Messed up. After a horrible beginning, his first act of free will was to help sacrifice his brothers to feed the hunger of a giant monster while scared for his existance. He believe everything wants to devour him. Considering how tasty he smells, it is actually justified. Future adventures: Arriving in the Nexus he soon learned he could move around by "jumping" He also learned he could shrink his size. He wonders away from the Nexus towards the Endless Dune and soon is attacked by starving bandits. That is how he learns he smells irresistable. When he respawns he moved around a lot, trying to hide, but his scent keeps giving him away, and people keep attacking and eating him, forcing him to respawn over and over. Character name: Abe Froman (AKA The Sausage King of Chicago) Character source: Ferris Butler Day Off Character history: (I’ve only seen this character in a youtube clip.) Abe walks into the restaurant with his two friends being all cool and stuff, he checks if his name is spelt right in the reservation before the book guy shows up. He doubts he’s the real Abe Froman because of his age and tries to kick him out. He doesn’t even bother busting out his ID to prove he’s Abe because everyone should know already, so he goes straight to calling the cops. I don’t know what happens next because that’s where the clip ends, but I assume the waiter guy gets his ass kicked by the cops. Physical Description: Young with black hair dresses awesome. He looks too young to be the Sausage King of Chicago, but that’s just how awesome he is. Stats: ATK: 5 DEF: 3 SPD: 3 TEC: 3 (I read somewhere you could permanently upgrade your stats, but I can’t find this part again, so I’m guessing how much it’s worth.) He was so obsessed with counting, he would even let the phone ring endless so he could continue counting the rings. This would encompass the entirety of his life until he was snatched up by Omni. Physical Description: He is a purple skinned vampire with slicked back hair and old hungarian outfit. Said numbers are only a hologram, but using said numbers he can give his allies a lesson that raises TEC. Tommy Gun (300 OM) Ranged Proficiency. Rapid fire automatic weapon firing at 30 rounds per second. Caveat: After he finishes firing, he must state how many rounds has hit is target, following it with an "Ah Ah Ah." Thriller: MJ summons his zombie minions to attack because...why not. Moonwalk: He moves away in such a spectacular fashion that the opponent is stunned. MJ's also invincible while doing so. Out of curiosity, he read the rules, signed up an account, and then to his surprise, was pulled into the Omniverse himself. He still retains access to the website somehow through the dataverse, and so is able to make contact with the OOC versions of the other player character prime, being both the In-Character AND the OOC himself. Physical Description: Scrawny, pale young adult male. He has a mild case of acne and a bit of an off-putting half-grown beard. He isn't particularly physical, preferring instead to spend his time online writing fanfiction. Stats: ATK: 2 DEF: 1 SPD: 2 TEC: 5 Proficiencies: Ranged Proficiency (1000) Remote Control Proficiency (600) Ranged Materialize Proficiency (600) Powers: Insight - Alex looks at another character's Roster page, learning about their moves, stats, and background. (1600) Telekinesis (Basic) - By writing it OOC, Alex can make a nearby object move without touching it IC. (400) Moves: Chatbox - By participating in the Index page chatbox, Alex can learn any information IC that he learns there OOC. Anything mentioned on the chatbox by other players that he sees is learned by Alex in the Omniverse. Also, if another character interacts with the others in the chatbox as though they were in character, Alex can instantly teleport to that character's location ingame and that action will actually happen in character. (As a side note, WHEN YOU DIE IN THE GAME, YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE - While Alex is dead, he cannot post OOC, including in the chatbox.) Godmod - Writes other characters into doing things advantageous for Alex. If he does it subtly, the mods won't notice sh: Actual Mod - Can write as the Site NPC's to help himself out. Also has some control over move approval, which is how he got these moves okayed in the first place - he did it himself. Game fixing - Alex takes anything another player has agreed to OOC, no matter how reluctantly, and makes it happen ingame. This usually manipulates the environment or nearby secondaries into helping him defeat his enemy. This is totally okay, because the other guy was cool with it at one point. Super Moves: Text Limit (Utility, lv1) - Everyone else in the thread is limited to 500 words in their next post, and none of them may be adjectives, even if said adjectives are necessary for identification. Any ambiguity caused by these limitations can be warped by Alex to create the most advantageous possible situation for him. This salvo will cover around 5 meters of ground in each burst. Cazadoreclaws - requires Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Homing Proficiency, Remote Control Proficiency and Debuff Proficiency - 600 OM The Flying Wizard Tarrasque opens its gaping maw, unleashing a massive swarm of Cazadoreclaws from its mouth, the slashing, spitting, biting mob can be directed subconciously by the Tarrasque. If the Cazadoreclaw swarm reaches its target, the slashing, biting horde will attack the target, tearing them apart and causing massive blood loss, slowing the target for any future attacks. Fire Pillar - requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency and Debuff Proficiency - 600 OM The Flying Wizard Tarrasque uses its magic wizard abilities to conjure a ball of flame below the ground, which will eventually reach the surface, bursting into a great pillar, scorching all those within a 5 meter radius of it and setting them aflame. Magic Missile - requires Ranged Proficiency and Homing Proficiency - 300 OM The Flying Wizard Tarrasque summons ten tiny purple balls of energy, which will home on their target for approximately ten second, before fizzling out. Lightning Storm - requires Ranged Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency and Ranged Materialize Proficiency - 300 OM The Flying Wizard Tarrasque summons a great storm, around 30 meters in diameter, from which bolts of lightning rain down, annihilating all in their path. FUCK YOU I'M A WIZARD DRAGON - requires Debuff Proficiency and Ranged Proficiency - 900 OM The Flying Wizard Tarrasque roars the phrase "FUCK YOU I'M A WIZARD DRAGON!", any and all who hear this are paralyzed by fear, while the Tarrasque spews forth a torrent of flame from its mouth, proving its awesomeness. Being reassured in its power, the Flying Wizard Tarrasque can believes it can destroy anything, increasing its already astronomic confidence.
