Matthew's Arrival - Jack Darby - 09-24-2017

When the black void faded and he had been thrust into a world of almost blinding white, Matthew squinted, and tried to focus, to clear his head of his dizziness caused by the sudden change. Noticing he was in a fountain and his clothing was missing, Matthew frowned. Just why was he naked? The individual who had kidnapped him called “Omni”  had said that Omnilium could be used to create whatever he desired. Clothing was the first item, because he needed an outfit for himself so as to prevent him from making anyone disgusted with him. Taking out the rainbow colored orb that had been given to him by Omni, he concentrated and a miniscule mote of light left the orb, smacking into his body at high speeds.

When the mote of light smacked into his body,  Matthew was clad in a new outfit. The outfit was a black leather one similar to the one worn by Jason Todd. While it was not the costume he preferred, Matthew supposed it was going to have to do unfortunately. After all he was not someone who was skilled at making costumes. Lacking the resources of Cadmus in this place as likely they didn’t exist, Matthew knew he was going to have to do something he hadn’t done before. Improvisation was not his strong suit, but he was going to have to do so. Yet, it couldn’t hurt to check. Creating a communication device out of Omnilium he attempted to connect to the frequencies of Cadmus. His first attempt got himself nothing but static. The second attempt also got him nothing from it. Frowning, he’d look at the device. Had he done something wrong? Did Cadmus still exist around here?

The comm signal had not gone through, and thus had not allowed him to reach the Cadmus agents that he wanted to talk to. Had Omni been right, about this place being different from anything that he had ever known? Apparently so…

If Cadmus was not around,  Matthew was going to be forced to improvise. Checking once more with the communicator he had, Matthew sighed, and said.  "Looks like I'm on my own."

The substance known as Omnilium was probably some sort of advanced nanotechnology, given what it was capable of. At least in the opinion of Matthew. Walking slowly away from the fountain, he checked to see if anyone was around that he could get information on this place from. There was a lot he had to learn about his new location.

RE: Matthew's Arrival - Jack Darby - 09-24-2017

There were several things that Matthew had wrong with him right now. One of them was that he didn’t possess any intelligence on the place. Sure he had been informed about the basics by Omni, but he didn’t know that it was more than a hallucination. For all he knew, he could have been drugged, or something. It was highly likely, given the enemies that his brother had. Considering that gave him some hope that was promptly shattered when he remembered that his attempt to contact Cadmus was a complete and total failure. Tears came to his eyes as he thought that he'd never see his family again, but he roughly wiped them away because he wasn't about to let himself to cry because of something beyond his control. Right now he needed to focus on the task at hand. His first step should be to find some shelter in this place. Observing the distance, he looked at it, and saw eight gates. They looked to be a few hours walking distance from his location.

"It seems I'll have to walk....."   Matthew thought about it, and then thought of something. Why should he walk, when he could materialize a motorcycle for his own personal use with Omnilium to use it to get around? Traveling was safer when you were on a motorcycle anyway. There was a lot that could go wrong if you walked a distance like that. Another reason admittedly existed, namely that if the Jokerz or the Ts were around in this area, he didn't want to have to deal with any of them presently, as he had just had his world torn out from under him. It was going to take some getting used to.

A black and silver motorcycle formed out of Omnilium near him, as he got onto it.

Driving along at a slow speed on the motorcycle for the sake of safety,  Matthew watched the locations. The verse with the white clad soldiers seemed to be the most promising. If their armor was anything like that of Batman, the armor was something he'd want to study for his own personal improvements. After all he had no resources of any kind, short of what he could make on his person with the substance known as "Omnilium" as it were. As it happened right now, Matthew also knew that he didn't have Cadmus to rely on, so he was operating without any support in the Omniverse. Gathering some support was essential, as he made his way on the motorcycle to the Coruscant Gate. Stopping near it, he'd go over and talk to one of the soldiers.

"Hello."  said Matthew, to one of the soldiers.

The soldier looked him over, for a moment.  "Who are you?"

Matthew then said. "Matthew Mcginnis."

"And you're headed to Coruscant for what reason?" asked the soldier.

"Tourism." said Matthew.

The storm trooper paused and made a few calls.  "If you're willing to submit to an evaluation, you'll be allowed to go to Coruscant."

Matthew sighed. It was best if he cooperated with the government. With that, he let them perform the tests that they needed. Taking his motorcycle close to the gate where Coruscant was located, he'd get off. Dissipating the motorcycle into Omnilium he made his way into the world of Coruscant.
