Back in Blue - All Might - 08-06-2017 The Nexus was harrowing. It was empty, it was dry. It was utterly blank, and permanently stained with violence. Brawls broke out between gods, in this place. It was all compounded by the fact that many things were simply... not quite there. He didn't quite remember what he had been doing when he died, or even who he was fighting. He remembered feeling regretful- sad that he had failed, but not... angry. Not afraid. Whoever had killed him, All Might knew he had died without malice for his attacker. He was regretful because- he had failed to save something? Perhaps his death had been from an accident? Either way, he would remember soon enough. He had wandered the edges of the Nexus as a Death Shroud for quite a while, he had found, and in all that time, he had not felt the presence of another soul. He knew the Nexus shouldn't be this empty, it was the path that connected all the Verses together, after all. But it felt utterly dead and empty. It was only when he wandered toward the familiar sight of the Coruscant gate that he began to remember something useful. He needed help. He remembered that. He needed other heroes. And there weren't, in Coruscant. He moved away from the Coruscant gate, and looked to the distance, at the next closest one... that seemed more like the right direction. He entered the Vasty Deep, and fell to the sandy floor just inside the verse with a gasp. All Might had been used to feeling good again. Sure, there was the occasional injury he received through fire, bullet, or fist in the course of his heroing activities on Coruscant, but with Omnilium and sheer willpower he found himself fine sooner rather than later. It wasn't anything like the intense, daily, chronic pain of his life before the Omniverse. And this feeling he had now- it wasn't that bad, honestly. But after spending weeks feeling in better condition than he had been in years the feeling of weakness he had now, after resurrection, wasn't pleasant. It reminded him of darker times. He pushed himself up before anyone could ask him what the matter was, and he began moving further into Costa Del Sol. The beach city was a beautiful, festive, alive place. Nearly the opposite of Coruscant, despite the Stormtroopers here and there. As he passed by a stand selling sunglasses of various types, he noticed that his outfit had changed- gone was the green jacket of Might, back again was the blue, white, red, and gold bodysuit of All Might. Just as well, he supposed. If he was going to make an impression on other superheroes, he might as well dress the best he could. And truth be told, he had missed the old outfit. He pulled his Communicator from his belt, and found a quiet spot to sit in the shade not too far from the beach. His first instinct was to check the date, but honestly, time worked... very oddly, in the Omniverse. In personal terms, it was extremely subtle in how it was different. Time felt the same, people passed by doing one thing or another, if you were driving, and it felt about rush hour, it would become one. Time flowed normally for you, but there was no telling how it would work out for others. You could hold a conversation with someone a day ago, and the next time you see them they could have a beard and saying "It's been so long!" It was incomprehensible at times, but in the end it all worked out, somehow. One of the benchmarks however, was that if you interacted with people often, they were more-or-less on the same level of time-flow as you. He held hope that Krid and Panda had only been waiting a week for his call, and not months. "Might Agency." Came Krid's voice on the other end of the call. "Krid!" All Might said cheerfully, "I'm just calling to let you know I'm alive and well!" "Might! Thank god! Panda- get over here!" All Might smiled at the familiar voices, "So how long has it been for you two?" "Not much more than a week since you left. What happened?" All Might frowned, trying to think back, "Well... I was killed." "You- I guess it's true what they say about Primes then. You're just... fine, now though, right?" "More or less. I feel weaker, but I'm hoping that will go away. If not, then I'll just have to gather enough Omnilium to return to full strength." "I uh, I think it goes away after another seven days." Panda's voice said helpfully, "I'm glad you're back though." "So how have things been in Coruscant?" the superhero asked. "Things are... okay." Krid said, "We haven't really had the chance to take gauge of the whole situation yet. People have been calling, so we've been sending Gynoid out to deal with things. We stopped a few muggings, and there was a fire- well, she'll need some touching up when you do finally come back. We've been doing good work, I think, though." "Well... good." All Might said, "...Krid, Panda, I'm in the Vasty Deeps at the moment." "Do you want us to come over? I mean, it'll be a little expensive." "No, no." All Might said, before considering, "I feel safer knowing there's someone answering the Might Agency phone lines and helping out down there, but if you do need to come over I'll have things covered financially." "I've never been to a beach." Panda said, sounding interested, "But why the Vasty Deeps? We've checked it out, and your Empire Bounty's been erased. As long as you don't do something stupid in front of a stormtrooper immediately, you should be fine to come back." "Tier Five... all of Coruscant, even, is far too big of a job for just me." All Might said, "I'm going to go to the various Verses, and try and find other Heroes. Genuine superheroes, and if I can't find any, I'll make them." "Like... Secondaries?" "Perhaps." Might said, "But I hope it won't come down to that. I'm thinking more- guiding those who could have been Heroes back into the light. Finding youngsters with potential and giving them an example." Krid sighed, "Like us?" "Like you." All Might agreed, "Either way, after coming back a lot of my memories seem a little bit hazy." All Might said, "But I think I remember there being some established Superheroes here in the Deeps. I'm going to try and find them. Gain their trust, help them out. Try and convince them to join me in cleaning up the Omniverse, if they've been sticking to the Vasty Deeps so far." "The Avengers?" Panda offered. It hit him like a brick, and All Might's smile grew even wider, his eyes flashing in recognition. He knew that name! "The Avengers! Yes! I'm looking for the Avengers! What can you give me?" "Let's see..." Panda began, and All Might could hear the clacking of keys and Panda began to go searching for information. RE: Back in Blue - All Might - 08-12-2017 Quote:Attention to all denizens of the Omniverse, All Might read the invitation, and stood up, filled with renewed energy. "I definitely came to the right place! Thank you, Panda, for digging this up." "No problem." answered the younger man from the other end of the line. "You planning on calling him?" "...Perhaps." All Might said, "I think I'm going to have a look around, and see what needs doing. If possible, I want to rest off this post-death weakness. I want to be in top form when recruiting other heroes, after all." "I'd say it's a good call." Krid agreed through the Communicator. "I'll speak to you both later, then. Keep up the good work." "Got it. We will, Might." "...Call me All Might." All Might said, "I think I'm finally ready to embrace my full name. If I'm going to be joining some other real superheroes, I'll be going at my best!" "Uh... So does that mean we need to change the cards we've been handing out?" "Hrmm... I haven't thought of that. Ah well! I'll leave it you!" All Might said, before hanging up on their protests. First things first! "Well Mister-" "All Might!" "Mister Might. Or... You're Japanese, right? Mister... All?" "All Might. Just call me All Might." "I prefer to keep a professional air around my patients Mister...." The superhero sighed, he supposed it didn't matter in this world. "Yagi. Mister Yagi." "Thank you. You seem to be in excellent shape Mister Yagi. Healthy by all accounts. I'd be worried about what kind of stress you put your body through- but, well, you're a Prime. Which brings me to what I think the main source of your ailment is. We call it resurrection sickness. You're weakened in nearly all accounts, and your general vitality is only about half of what it would be normally. It does wear off fairly quickly though. In fact, in your case, I'd give you about a day of rest, and you'll be in top shape again." "That's... good news." All Might said thoughtfully, "I'm glad I won't be down for too long. Are there any other effects- memory loss, among other things?" "It's a common side effect, but I'm afraid it's a bit more variable. Some Primes, they keep nearly everything the moment they come back. Other Primes, they can't remember some things, and never really get it back. In most cases, the lost memories will literally be back before you realize. I reccomend to put it out of mind. Thinking about it seems to make it worse- but none of it is quantified. It may simply vary depending on the individual, or the whims of Omni, if you believe that sort of thing." "Hm." "Well, Mister Yagi, it's in my medical opinion that you'll be... back in fighting shape after a good day and a night's worth of rest. It was a pleasure working with you." "And you miss." All Might said politely, before leaving the nurse's tent on the shore. A day off... wouldn't hurt him. If he happened to come across something, he wouldn't hesitate to fight, but for now... He found a changing tent on the beach, and jumped inside. The tiny thing was barely able to contain his massive body, but it would have to do! He had said he wanted to make a good impression, and so he would be sure to put his costume back on tomorrow, when he would go searching for the Avengers. But for today... a skintight uniform was no outfit for the beach! Well, technically, it could be. But one didn't wear their work uniform while resting on the beachside. No! Only a swimsuit would do! Fight hard! Work hard! Play hard! Rest hard! That was his motto! Plus Ultra! He summoned a water bottle, for [proper hydration, and changed his outfit into his preferred swimming onesie. Time to hit the beach!
