A Brave New Frontier - Alexander Blakesley - 08-05-2017 It took a while for Alexander to regain consciousness, his ears were still ringing, his limbs felt numb for a moment before he could feel them again. With a jolt the Atlean awoke gasping for air, he tried moving his limbs to make sure he was still in one piece. Arms, legs, hands, fingers, feet and finally toes were still intact somehow which was a relief. However, when he tried moving his head, an overwhelming dizzying sensation rendered him immobile. Alexander sluggishly clutched his helmet waiting for the disorientation and dizzying sensation to subside. His mind tried to reboot after what happened before being thrown into this place. All he could remember was fighting, gunfire, explosions, and then nothing but darkness. Did he die? Where was RC, his Titan? Did the IMC kill him and his Titan? And what of his comrades? What of Freya? All these questions and no answers left him frustrated, confused and a myriad of other emotions. When the sensation passed, he slowly sat up and surveyed his surroundings, or lack of for that matter since wherever he looked there was nothing but white. The surface? White. The sky? White. The horizon? White with the exception of bright lights scattered in multiple directions. Nothing to use to get his bearings, no landmarks, natural or artificial scenery to differentiate the terrain and more importantly, no high ground to get a better vantage point. “Well, shit...” the Pilot muttered, annoyance evident in his voice. Nothing except a peculiar-looking fountain, stumbling to his feet the Pilot approached the fountain wracked with curiosity and unanswered questions. The elegant white fountain appeared to have clear, fresh water spouting from the top of its elaborate structure which overflowed to the lower layers until the bottom tier. The tranquillity helped calm Alexander, allowed him to focus on processing his current situation and more importantly focus on what to do next. It was evident that he wasn’t on the Frontier anymore, he began wondering if he was even on the same plane of reality as before. Alexander ran his armoured, gloved hands through the water to test its temperature, surprisingly it was quite cold and looked inviting to the Pilot. He hesitated for a moment; he hadn’t checked if the atmosphere was safe for him to breathe in. An error which the Pilot swiftly corrected, running analytical scans using his suit’s environmental controls. After a moment of waiting the analysis was complete and with it, confirmation, the air was safe to breathe; he removed the seals on his gloves and helmet respectively putting them to the side. Using his hands he drank the water slowly, the cold refreshing liquid soothed the Atlean’s fierce thirst and healed any injuries he sustained before entering this new domain. Unbeknownst to Alexander as he drank his fill, a squad of ten Stormtroopers approached the Pilot, weapons at the ready but lowered as if they were expecting a fight to break out. Hearing footsteps behind him, Alexander turned to the source of the sound and paused in his place as he saw what approached him. Alexander stared at the squad for a moment, he felt like his eyes were lying to him wondering why were there Stormtroopers here of all places? More questions that needed answers, at least this one had a source to answer said question. He noticed the sergeant talking on a private communications channel to what he could only guess were his superiors. “Command, this is Alpha-Two reporting in, we got another Prime in the Nexus. Unconfirmed abilities and nature but looks like some highly mobile elite commando even has jump kits from the look of his armour. Please advise on next course of action, over.” the sergeant reported through his comm-unit. “Acknowledged Alpha-Two, send back images of the Prime and await further instructions. Over.” The sergeant complied and took several pictures of Alexander using a camera built into the Stormtrooper’s helmet and sent the data package back to his superiors. RE: [Open] A Brave New Frontier - The Rogue - 08-05-2017 All Rogue can remember is a concussive blast from a lab underground reverberated the concrete below em and caused several other explosion to go off, which the subsequent explosions ripped through the ground, causing, someone ey remember named Assassin, eir Sister, but not by blood, to lose her footing and slip of the edge of the rooftop, and slamming Rogue into one of the various APCs the people ey worked for, they called themselves, the Resistance, used, causing eir vision to go dark, and then, a pale featureless male named Omni, explaining, that he ripped em from eir home reality. Ey woke up with a gasp and on eir back. Rogue quickly scrambles up to the sounds of radios squawking and chattering, “Acknowledged Alpha-Two, send back images of the Prime and await further instructions. Over.”, the noise came from a person at the front of a group of nine others, directed at a man in the shallow pool of a central Fountain. All of this in the middle of a white expanse. Rogue decided to look like one of the ones in power, easiest way to blend in, ey copied the white armor of what looked like to be a scout, and snuck around to the back of the group. Ey looked down at the man and then copied his face, just in case. RE: [Open] A Brave New Frontier - Alexander Blakesley - 09-13-2017 To say the silence after the data transfer and the awaited response made the atmosphere between Alexander and the Stormtroopers awkward was an understatement. Alexander watched them cautiously, half expecting them to start trouble since he noticed the sergeant taking photos of him and his equipment. One of them at the back of the group didn’t escape his cautious glance, seemingly fixated squarely on him, unlike the others who were idly awaiting orders. Something about this particular individual didn’t sit right with Alexander as his stance was slightly different. Less soldierly and more predatory, while he was confident he could eliminate them with ease, it wouldn’t be ideal. Nonetheless, he reattached his armoured gloves and slid his helmet back on for good measure and waited patiently. “Alpha-Two, Command here, please verify whether this is a new prime or recurring, over.” The voice chimed over the Stormtrooper squad’s communications channel. “Roger that Command, over.” The sergeant replied. “Hey, Prime, you new here or...?” he asked, turning his attention back to the Prime in front of him. Alexander nodded to confirm he was a new arrival, even if he didn’t know what the term ‘Prime’ meant. Alexander turned his attention to the ominous looking white gates that marked every direction of his surroundings. He counted eight overall, each no doubt sending him off to different biomes within this place. “Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Mo…” Alexander muttered, locking onto a gate mentally while preparing to abandon these stormtroopers. Acting on instinct, he knew he had to find a way back home, one way or another and as soon as possible his comrades back on the Frontier were counting on him. “Command, that’s an affirmative on the new arrival. Should we run through the NPP with him or send him through to Coruscant with a data package? Ove-” The sergeant asked he looked back to the Atlean who was already moving towards the gate to Coruscant in the distance.Alexander hastily marched towards the gate, checking the status of his supplies and equipment within his helmet’s HUD, the Pilot made a beeline for Coruscant. If he had any interest in surviving this Omniverse, he would try to glean as much information as he could in Coruscant before planning his eventual escape. Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance or more commonly referred to as the “7 P’s”, a proverb drilled thoroughly into Alexander’s military training and one that had saved his backside countless times in the past. Initially, Alexander could've sworn the Coruscant gate was closer than he originally thought. Unfortunately, his guesstimation was quickly proven false as the march to his destination seemed to drag on for longer than he hoped. He looked at the fountain to quickly check his positioning from his starting point, drawing a slight sigh of relief he continued onwards. RE: A Brave New Frontier - The Rogue - 10-20-2017 Rogue walked back with the group after the other Prime had ran to the gate they are now heading to. Ey positioned emself in the back of the group, in order to blend in seamlessly. Now ey started to weave eirself to the front. The group is now about halfway from the shallow pool Rouge woke up at and to a tall archway that the man from earlier ran too. Suddenly Rogue kicks the commander in the knee and rips off his helmet. Rogue's facial analyzer quickly scans and makes eir nanites copy the man's face and armor. Rouge draws eir karambit. Ey jerk towards the commander suddenly. Ey trapped the hand of the commander with the back of the blade. Rogue uses this control to pin his arm behind him. Ey catches his other wrist with the curved blade, and holds his arms behind him, ey has him in a hold that forces his arms to be pointing up to where his fingers can almost touch his head. “Soldier! What are you doing?”, the commander barks. “I am not a Soldier”, answers the commander’s voice, which comes from Rogue. The commander freezes up as he recognizes the voice as his own. Rouge's armor shifts into a replica of the commander’s. The other 9 troopers take aim at Rogue, but can't get a shot without killing their CO. The commander starts to barks orders, but the chill of the curved blade catches his words in his throat. “Tell me where I am and where we are going”, Rogue commands using the copied voice. “This is the Nexus, which is held in a place called the Omniverse. We are from the Verse called Courscant, we are stormtroopers, the primary military, scouting, and policing force there.”, answers one of the other stormtroopers. RE: A Brave New Frontier - The Rogue - 10-22-2017 Rogue pushes the commander into one of the stormtroopers. Ey rolls away from that pair as they scramble. With karambit drawn, Ey dash towards another. With one hand Rogue knocks the gun out of one han. Then quickly traps the other with the reverse side of the blade. Using this leverage, ey throws the soldier into one of their comrades. Rogue then sweeps the leg of another, rolling in the direction of the sweep. Ey gets up and uses the backside of eir karambit to disarm another. Ey then punches the soldier down. Pressing off one foot, Rogue launches emself at a soldier and plants eir boot in the soldier's face. After landing ey pick up one of the discarded rifles and takes aim, pulling the trigger, but nothing happens. Quickly ey throws the rifle at another soldier, which goes to catch it. Rogue dashes towards the soldier, and traps their hand with the karambit, and leverages them into a spin, knocking over their last two comrades. Rogue then makes a run for it. Sprinting as hard as ey can. Trying to put some distance between them and the others. Ey gets to the gate in a decent time, even after slowing a bit to conserve energy. The two soldiers seem startled by em being their. “Commander Karst, sir! Is there something wrong? You seem riled up”, shouting interrupts Rogue as ey started to talk. The group from earlier is approaching. Then the radio squawks, “That is not Karst! It's a Prime!”, the two look up at each other, but before they can turn around, Rogues boot covered foot slams into the side of the one's face. Then ey slam into the other, rendering both unconscious. Rogue copies one of their armor, and enters the gate before the others get there. |
